Abstract

Building the format for the transformation of Islamic Higher Education into a Private Islamic Institute is the target of three Private Islamic Higher Education under the Provincial Kopertais XIII Environment. Therefore, each PTAIS strives with all its might to meet the various requirements that have been determined, even though here and there there are still various obstacles faced such as it is still difficult to find Human Resources or teaching staff who are liner S1 and S2 in accordance with the Program Existing and future studies. In addition, there are still inadequate facilities and infrastructure from some PTAIS and other related matters. However, efforts will still be made to fulfill it so that what is desired can be achieved and realized.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: The purpose of this study is to identify trends and developments in research on the quality of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) learning in the period 2015–2025 using a bibliometric approach and systematic review and to reveal the main factors that contribute to improving the quality of Islamic religious education learning. Methodology: This study used bibliometric analysis and systematic review. Data were obtained from the Scopus database with related keywords. The analysis was performed using VOSviewer software for network visualization and research trends. Articles were selected based on the inclusion criteria of 2015–2025 and in English. Quantitative and qualitative approaches were used in data analysis. Main Findings: This study found that the research trend on the quality of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) learning increased significantly from 2017 to 2020, decreased in 2021, and then increased again from 2022 to 2025. The main contributing factors include teacher competence, quality management, madrasah leadership, and the integration of technology. The Total Quality Management (TQM) approach and innovation in learning methods have proven effective in improving the quality of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) learning. Novelty/Originality of this study: This study provides new insights into the global trends of Islamic Religious Education learning quality research through bibliometric analysis and systematic review. This study identifies research gaps, key factors for improving learning quality, and the integration of technology and Total Quality Management (TQM) in IRE, which have not been comprehensively discussed in previous studies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the leadership and management practices of the Heads of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Offices in improving the performance of supervisors at State Islamic Senior High Schools in Jambi Province. Utilizing a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method, the research was conducted across several local Ministry offices. The findings reveal four key aspects. First, performance improvement planning is typically conducted through coordination meetings at the beginning of the academic year. Second, supervisor performance enhancement is carried out through official briefings, routine school visits, and both formal and informal coaching, though its implementation remains inconsistent due to limited time, the advanced age of many supervisors, and the broad scope of their responsibilities. Third, performance monitoring tends to emphasize administrative compliance rather than substantive areas such as managerial guidance or support for the Merdeka Curriculum. Fourth, key obstacles include a shortage of qualified supervisors, insufficient training provided by the Ministry, and weak structural alignment between Ministry leadership and supervisor working groups, which often operate independently. The study recommends the strengthening of technical regulations, recruitment of subject-specific supervisors, implementation of continuous curriculum-based training, and the empowerment of Ministry heads as strategic leaders in supervisory management. Strengthening these aspects is expected to significantly enhance the quality of madrasah education in the region.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of school principal leadership, teaching quality, and student motivation on academic achievement at private senior high schools in the Riau Islands Province. The research method used is quantitative with a survey approach. The sample consisted of eight randomly selected private senior high schools. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling to examine both direct and indirect effects among variables. The results showed that school principal leadership had a positive and significant effect of 12.2% on students' academic achievement. Teaching quality had a positive influence of 20.1%, and student motivation contributed 9.6% to academic achievement. Simultaneously, principal leadership and teaching quality contributed 26.3% to students' academic achievement. Furthermore, principal leadership and teaching quality significantly influenced student motivation, contributing 22.4% and 28.1% respectively, and jointly 30.6%. Student motivation acted as a mediating variable that strengthened the influence of principal leadership (15.3%) and teaching quality (17.4%) on academic achievement. Based on these findings, it is recommended that principals improve their leadership, teachers enhance their teaching quality, and students increase their learning motivation to support the improvement of academic achievement in private senior high schools in the Riau Islands Province.

Abstract

Kepemimpinan di lembaga pendidikan Islam, berdasarkan warisan dari sesepuh atau pendahulu dan diturunkan kepada keturunan atau orang yang masih mempunyai hubungan saudara maupun yang masih mempunyai pertalian darah. Tidak perduli apakah mereka mempunyai, kredibilitas, kapabilitas atapun kompetensi, asalkan masih berasal dari saudara tidak menjadi persoalan. Langkah pembaharuan terhadap budaya semacam itu harus dilakukan demi keberhasilan kemajuan sebuah lembaga pendidikan Islam. Kepemimpinan superioritas yang diimplementasikan pada lembaga pendidikan islam di sekolah MTSN 3 Kota Jambi dilakukan oleh kepala sekolah sebagai pimpinan tertinggi disekolah dan diikuti oleh seluruh pegawai dilingkungan sekolah Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 3 kota Jambi. Kepemimpinan ini dilaksanakan dengan mengikuti ketentuan Kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah Efektif namun belum sepenuhnya berjalan dengan baik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi analisis lingkungan internal Lembaga Pendidikan Islam dengan fokus pada Pendidikan Vokasi MAN 1 Bungo Plus Ketrampilan. Lingkup penelitian mencakup konsep lingkungan internal, jenis-jenis lingkungan lembaga pendidikan Islam, serta pentingnya analisis lingkungan dalam manajemen strategis. Tujuan penelitian adalah memberikan pemahaman mendalam terhadap potensi dan kelemahan lembaga, dengan analisis SWOT sebagai alat evaluasi. Melalui penelitian ini, diharapkan dapat memberikan panduan praktis dan konseptual untuk meningkatkan efektivitas dan daya saing Lembaga Pendidikan Islam, khususnya dalam konteks Pendidikan Vokasi. Kesimpulan dan rekomendasi yang dihasilkan diharapkan dapat menjadi landasan bagi lembaga pendidikan serupa dalam menghadapi tantangan dan memaksimalkan potensi internal mereka untuk mencapai tujuan yang diinginkan.

Abstract

Artikel ini mengkaji Strategi lembaga pendidikan Islam adalah rencana jangka panjang organisasi yang menyelenggarakan pendidikan Islam, yang mempunyai struktur yang jelas dan bertanggung jawab atas terlaksananya pendidikan Islam. Oleh karena itu, lembaga pendidikan Islam tersebut harus dapat menciptakan suasana yang memungkinkan terlaksananya pendidikan dengan baik, menurut tugas yang diberikan kepadanya, baik lembaga pendidikan Islam formal, nonformal, dan informal yang melaksanakan proses pendidikan Islam. Standar Operasional Prosedur (Pendidikan Islam) memiliki Tujuh hal pokok yaitu Memberi penjelasan yang mendetail mengenai seluruh kegiatan pada proses menjalankan organisasi, Standarisasi terhadap keseluruhan kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh organisasi, Standar operasional prosedur membuat syarat dan ketentuan dalam organisasi menjadi lebih sederhana, Mempersingkat waktu pelatihan akibat standarisasi kerja, Membantu menganalisa kegiatan yang sudah dilakukan dan dapat memberikan feedback untuk pengembangan standar operasional prosedur ke depan, Meningkatkan konsistensi kegiatan Meningkatkan komunikasi antara pihak yang berkaitan.

Abstract

Di tengah masalah kesenjangan mutu pendidikan yang sedang dihadapi bangsa Indonesia, tentu banyak hal memicu keraguan akan kesiapan lembaga pendidikan unggul yang mampu menghadapi persaingan secara global. Saat ini pendidikan dituntut bagaimana mempersiapkan sumber daya manusia yang berkompeten agar mampu bersaing di dunia global. Dalam rangka memenuhi hal tersebut diperlukan lulusan yang unggul (kompetitif) sehingga dapat eksis di dunia global. Peningkatan mutu pendidikan dapat dilihat melalui suatu proses manajemen lembaga pendidikan. Strategi yang dilakukan untuk menjalankan proses pendidikan itu salah satunya dapat menggunakan strategi analisis SWOT. Oleh karena itu, peneliti akan berupaya mengkaji permasalahan mengenai analisis SWOT dan pemetaan strategi pada lembaga Pendidikan Agama Islam. penelitain ini juga bersifat kualitatif dengan penulis menggunakan metode library research. Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus pada analisis lingkungan eksternal Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 9 Muaro Jambi, dengan tujuan untuk mengidentifikasi peluang dan tantangan yang dihadapi sekolah ini dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. Analisis menggunakan kerangka SWOT untuk mengeksplorasi kekuatan, kelemahan, peluang, dan ancaman yang mempengaruhi sekolah. Kekuatan yang diidentifikasi mencakup lokasi strategis dan kualitas serta jumlah guru bersertifikasi. Namun, sekolah ini juga menghadapi kelemahan seperti kurangnya sarana dan prasarana, serta dukungan orang tua yang rendah. Peluang untuk perbaikan muncul dari dukungan pemerintah daerah dan komunitas, sementara ancaman meliputi persaingan dengan institusi pendidikan lain dan kurangnya pemanfaatan teknologi. Hasil analisis ini diharapkan dapat membantu SMP Negeri 9 Muaro Jambi dalam merumuskan strategi yang efektif untuk memanfaatkan peluang dan mengatasi tantangan, meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan dan posisi kompetitifnya di lingkungan yang dinamis.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze and evaluate the management of madrasah heads in empowering teaching staff in an effort to minimize the gaps that occur due to the unequal placement of teaching staff. This research is qualitative research with data collection techniques using observation and direct interviews, namely MAN 1 Jambi City, MAN 1 Muaro Jambi and MAN 1 Batanghari. The data analysis technique uses qualitative through domain, taxonomy and component analysis, and the data is reduced, displayed and summarized. The research results show that (1) the correct, orderly, accurate and systematic planning of madrasah heads makes a significant contribution to empowering teaching staff. (2) Organizing teaching staff with accountable standards and criteria makes it easier to distribute teaching staff evenly. (3) An appropriate implementation process can provide a positive impact in empowering teaching staff. (4) Routine and continuous supervision has an influence on the implementation process in a conducive manner. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the systematic, accurate and accountable management of madrasah principals in empowering teaching staff can have a significant impact in minimizing the placement gap and equal distribution of State Madrasah Aliyah teaching staff in Jambi Province.
