Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa kelas XI MAN 2 Kota Palu. Jenis penelitian adalah Quasi-eksperimental, dengan desain penelitian adalah non equivalent pretest-postest group design. Sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 36 orang siswa kelas eksperimen dan 36 orang siswa kelas kontrol. Untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis dilakukan tes uraian 15 soal. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hasil postest kelas eksperimen sebesar 78,50 dan kelas kontrol sebesar 69,86. Uji normalitas pretest kelas eksperimen sebesar diketahui nilai sig sebesar 0,150 > 0,05 dan postest kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,098 > 0,05. Uji homogenitas kelas postest yaitu diketahui nilai signifikansi (sig) sebesar 0,213 > 0,05. Uji hipotesis (Uji-t) kelas postest nilai sig (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 maka ditarik kesimpulan bahwa Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Artinya terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa.

Abstract

Eco-pedagogy is an educational approach that places emphasis on the relationship between humans and the natural world, and encourages the undertaking of practical actions for the benefit of environmental sustainability. The objective of this study is to enhance students' environmental literacy and creative thinking abilities through the Earth and Space Science (ESS) integrated eco-pedagogy (EcoP) modules. This research is development research (R & D) using 4-D model by Thiagarajan. The research subjects were 22 prospective physics teacher students. Data on environmental literacy and creative thinking skills were collected through pre-test and post-test by using the environmental literacy test and creative thinking skills questionnaire. The results demonstrated that the implementation of the validated ESS-EcoP module integrated with eco-pedagogy can markedly enhance 65.05% students' environmental literacy and 55.49% students’ creative thinking skills. This research is anticipated to contribute to the advancement of innovative learning models that can augment students' awareness and concern for the environment.
