Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan bertanya dan hasil belajar siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Kayen Pati. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Colaborrative Action Research (CAR). Tahap-tahap penelitian ini meliputi kegiatan: 1) perencanaan, 2) pelaksanaan tindakan, 3) pengamatandan 4) refleksi.Penelitian ini dilakukan selama tiga siklus pada pembelajaran materi sistem pertahanan tubuh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada peningkatan keterampilan bertanya dan hasil belajar siswa setelah diterapkan PPC. Persentase keterampilan bertanya siswa meningkat dari siklus I sebesar 74.19%, siklus II sebesar 77.42% dan siklus III sebesar 90.32%. Hasil belajar siswa juga mengalami peningkatan dari siklus I sebesar 67.74%, siklus II sebesar 70.97% dan siklus III sebesar 90.32%. Hasil analisis korelasi antara keterampilan bertanya dan hasil belajar siswa menunjukkan hubungan positif dan signifikan dengan nilai korelasi (r) pada siklus I sebesar 0.452 dengan kategori sedang, siklus II sebesar 0.563 dengan kategori sedang dan pada siklus III sebesar 0.669 dengan kategori kuat. Hubungan positif tersebut diartikan semakin tinggi nilai keterampilan bertanya maka hasil belajar juga akan meningkat. Simpulan penelitian ini yaitu: PPCdapat meningkatkan keterampilan bertanya dan hasil belajar siswa kelas XI-IPA 2 SMA Negeri 1 Kayen Pati dan terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara keterampilan bertanya dan hasil belajar siswa.     This study aims to improve questioning skill and studentslearning outcomesof class XI-IPA 2 SMA Negeri 1 Pati Kayen. This research is Colaborration Action Research (CAR).The procedures of the research are: 1) planning, 2) acting, 3) observating and 4) reflecting.There are three cycles to do this research in the learning of system immune in human body.The results showed there are increased questioning skills and student learning outcomes after application ofPPC. The percentage of questioning skill is 74.19% of first cycle, 77.42% of second cycle and 90.32% of third cycle.Student learning outcomes also show theincreased from 67.74% of first cycle, 70.97% of the second cycle and 90.32% of the third cycle.The results of correlation analysis between the questioning skills and student learning outcomes showed positive and significant relation of the correlation (r) for  0.452 of first cycle in medium categorize, 0.563 of second cycle in medium categorize, and 0.669 of third cycle in strong categorize.This relation means that if the questioning skill is rise, so the result of the study is also rise.The conclusions of this research can be seen as following: PPC can improve the questioning skills and students learning outcomes of class XI-IPA 2 SMA Negeri 1 Kayen Pati and moreover there is a positive and significant relation between questioning skills and student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keterterapan strategi bioedutainment pada pembelajaran materi tumbuhan di SMA Negeri 1 Weleri. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah One Shot Case Study.Populasi dalam penelitian ini siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Weleri, sampel penelitian yaitu siswa kelas XE dan XF ditentukan dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Variabel bebas berupa penerapan strategi biedutainment pada pembelajaran materi tumbuhan dan variabel terikat berupa aktivitas siswa, hasil belajar dan tanggapan siswa. Jenis data berupa aktivitas siswa, hasil belajar, dan tanggapan siswa. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persentase siswa yang sangat aktif pada kelas XE dan XF sama yaitu 90%. Ketuntasan klasikal siswa kelas XE93,3%dankelas XF 96,67%. Tanggapan siswa menunjukkan bahwa 98% siswa kelas XE dan 97% siswa kelas XF memberikan tanggapan sangat senang. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan strategi bioedutainment efektif diterapkan pada pembelajaran materi tumbuhan di SMA Negeri 1 Weleri.     Abstract ___________________________________________________________________ The purpose of this research was  to identify the effect of  the bioedutainment teaching strategy on  learning achievement on  Plantae subject matter at  SMA Negeri 1 Weleri. One Shot Case Study research design  was implemented in the study with  grade X students of SMA Negeri 1 Weleri, treated as populations, and the students from Grade XE and XF classes were selected as samples by the  random sampling technique. Independent variable was bioedutainment strategy implemented  to the study of Plant learning matterials, while its dependent  variables were students activities, learning results, and students responses. The data collected were  students’ acivities, learning results, and students’ responses. These data were then analyzed by descriptive percentage. The result of this research showed that 90% of XE students were very active and so were  XF students. The clasical learning achievements of XE students was 93,3% and 96,67% for XF students. The result of students’ responses indicated that 98% of XE students and 97% of XF students were very excited. The  bioedutainment strategy could be applied for the study of Plantae lesson  by the students at  SMA Negeri 1 Weleri.

Abstract

This research aims to test the feasibility of the character based adventure education game using the digestive system study materials. The method of this research is Research and Development. The research  media was explored by experts and tested in two stages, i.e:  the stage of small-scale testing and large-scale testing. The subjects of small-scale testing are 20 students of eighth grade in SMP N 1 Wonopringgo and the subjects of large-scale testing  are 2 classes in SMP N 21 Semarang. Data for the media feasibility test was collected from media experts and material experts as well as teachers and students. The media effectiveness was interpreted from student learning outcomes. The student character values were ​​obtained from the tests, assignments and questionnaires. Data analysis showed that the media was feasible and the media was categorized as good. None of the teachers and students responded that lesser than “well” criteria. More than 85.45% of students received learning outcomes of above KKM (80). The results of student character analysis showed more than 75% of  students high scores on each character. It was concluded that the media developed is feasible as a learning media in junior high school. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji kelayakan multimedia game edukasi berbentuk adventure berbasis pendidikan karakter pada materi sistem pencernaan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development. Dalam penelitian ini media yang dikembangkan ditelaah oleh pakar dan diujicobakan melalui 2 tahap, yaitu tahap uji coba skala kecil dan uji coba skala besar. Subjek uji coba skala kecil yaitu 20 siswa kelas VIII di SMP N 1 Wonopringgo dan subjek uji coba skala besar yaitu 2 kelas siswa kelas VIII di SMP N 21 Semarang. Data kelayakan media diperoleh dari pakar media dan materi;  guru dan siswa. Data keefektifan media diperoleh dari hasil belajar siswa. Data nilai karakter siswa diperoleh dari tes, penugasan dan angket. Hasil analisis kelayakan media menunjukan bahwa media layak digunakan ditunjukkan dari, penilaian oleh ahli media dan ahli materi memperoleh kriteria layak. Guru dan 100% siswa memberikan tanggapan sangat baik dan baik. 85,45% siswa memperoleh hasil belajar diatas KKM (80). Lebih dari 75% siswa memiliki skor karakter yang tinggi pada masing-masing karakter. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah media game edukasi yang dikembangkan layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran di SMP.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan desain pembelajaran animalia dengan model Experiential Jelajah Alam Sekitar terhadap hasil belajar dan aktivitas siswa kelas X MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Ungaran. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi experimental design dengan pola posttest only control group design. Sampel yang digunakan adalah kelas X MIPA 6 (kelas eksperimen) dan X MIPA 7 (kelas kontrol), diambil melalui teknik cluster random sampling. Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah desain pembelajaran dengan model EJAS pada materi animalia, sedangkan variabel terikatnya adalah hasil belajar dan aktivitas siswa. Hasil uji t menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai posttest kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol, dengan ketuntasan klasikal kelas eksperimen mencapai 92% (KKM ≥75). Berdasarkan hasil analisis aktivitas siswa pada kelas eksperimen menunjukkan bahwa nilai aktivitas siswa paling tinggi berdasarkan aspek yang diamati adalah aktivitas motorik (92,35%), aktivitas menulis (92,12%), aktivitas kerjasama (91,90%), aktivitas analisis (82,40%), dan aktivitas bicara (80,20%). Secara umum guru dan siswa memberi tanggapan positif terhadap pembelajaran yang diterapkan. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah penerapan desain pembelajaran animalia dengan model EJAS berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar dan aktivitas siswa kelas X MIPA di SMA Negeri 1 Ungaran. This research aims to determine the effect of applied animalia learning design with the model of experiential jelajah alam sekitar* on learning outcomes and activities of students class X MIPA in senior high school 1 Ungaran. This research is quasi experimental design and it using posttest only control group design. Sample of this research were class X MIPA 6 (experimental class) and X MIPA 7 (control class), taken by cluster random sampling. Independent variabel in this research is learning design with EJAS model on the topic of animalia, while depends variabel is learning outcomes and students activities. The result of t-test showed that mean posttest value of experimental class is higher than control class, with clasical completeness 92% (KKM ≥ 75). Based on the result the experimental class students activities analysis showed that highest activity is motor activities (92,35%),  writing activities (92,12%), cooperation activities (91,90%), analysis avtivities (82,40%), and oral avtivities (80,20%) . In general, teacher and students gave a positive response to applied learning. Conclusion from this research is  applied animalia learning design with EJAS model positive effect on learning outcomes and students activities.

Abstract

Pembelajaran menggunakan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) berpendekatan etnosains mendorong siswa untuk berpikir melalui proses pemecahan masalah yang berorientasi pada masalah autentik kehidupan nyata siswa dengan mengintegrasikan budaya, nilai-nilai kearifan lokal, pengetahuan yang ada di lingkungan sekitar siswa dengan pembelajaran sains (biologi) sehingga memungkinkan siswa mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritisnya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) berpendekatan etnosains terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan quasi experimental design dengan post-test only control group design. Populasi penelitian adalah semua siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 2 Kendal tahun ajaran 2015/2016. Penarikan sampel dilakukan secara purposive sampling, XI IPA 2 (kelas kontrol) dan  XI IPA 3 (kelas eksprimen).Pengambilan data kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa melalui post-test, LOS dan LDS, dan aktivitas kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa H1 diterima dan H0 ditolak. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas kontrol (metode konvensional) dengan kelas eksperimen yang menerapkan pembelajaran PBL berpendektan etnosais. Hasil analisis uji t diperoleh bahwa thitung > ttabel, yaitu 6,161> 1,997. Hasil obeservasi kemampuan berpikir kritis pada kelas eksperimen memperoleh  rata-rata 80,71%. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah model PBL berpendekatan etnosains dapat berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Learning withPBL model used etnosains approach get students to think through the process problem solving about real life students  problems with integrating culture, local knowledge, knowledge which was around the neighborhood students with learning science allowing students develop the ability think critically. Purpose of this research is to know influence of learning with PBL model used etnosains aprroach toword critical thinking of student. The reserch was quasy experimental desidegn used post-test only control group design. The populatiaon was all of XI Science setudents of Senior High School 2 Kendal. Sample was collected by purposive sampling technique, and XI Science 2 (control class) and XI Science 3 (exsperiment class). Data was connucted by test, LOS and LDS, and observation about critcal thinking of students,The results of the research were received H1 and rejected H0. It means there was a difference of critical thinking between control class (conventional models) and experiment class using PBLused etnoscience aprroach.The resut of t test that tcount > ttable,6, 161> 1,997.The result of observation af critical thinking in exsperiment class was 80,71%. The conclusion of the research was PBLby etnoscience approach significantly influenced the critical thinking students.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan pembelajaran biologi materi sistem pertahanan tubuh dengan pendekatan SETS pada siswa SMA. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Pre-Eksperimental Design dengan pendekatan One-Shot Case Study. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI MIPA SMA Negeri 13 Semarang. Sampel yang digunakan adalah kelas XI MIPA-1 dan XI MIPA-3. Pengambilan sampel dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data yang dikumpulkan berupa data hasil belajar siswa aspek kognitif, afektif, psikomotorik, serta data tanggapan siswa dan guru. Metode pengambilan data aspek kognitif melalui tes, aspek afektif melalui angket, aspek psikomotorik dengan penugasan serta data tanggapan siswa dan guru  melalui angket. Analisis hasil belajar siswa mencapai ketuntasan sebesar ≥ 75 %. Hasil belajar siswa aspek kognitif kelas XI MIPA-1 memperoleh ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 89 % sedangkan kelas  XI MIPA-3 memperoleh  85 % ketuntasan belajar klasikal. Hasil belajar siswa aspek afektif dan psikomotorik kelas XI MIPA-1 dan XI MIPA-3 memperoleh ketuntasan sebesar 100%. Berdasarkan hasil analisis post test dengan uji t one sampel diperoleh hasil t hitung sebesar 7,376. Karena harga t hitung > t tabel maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran biologi materi sistem pertahanan tubuh dengan pendekatan SETS pada siswa SMA berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar siswa The purpose of this study was to explore the effect of SETS-approach biology learning in concept of the immune system on high school students. This study is a Pre-Experimental Design with One-Shot Case Study. The population was all students of class XI SMA Negeri 13 Semarang MIPA. The sample is class XI MIPA 1 and XI MIPA-3 by purposive sampling technique. Data collected was student learning outcomes of cognitive, affective, psychomotor, students’ and teachers’ response.  The data of cognitive aspect was from test, affective from questionnaires, psychomotor aspects from the assignments and data of students’ and teachers’ response were from questionnaires. Analysis of learning outcomes showed that students achieved ≥ 75% mastery. The students’ classical cognitive aspect of XI MIPA-1 was 89% while XI MIPA-3 was 85%. The students affective and psychomotor aspects completeness of XI MIPA -1 and XI MIPA-3 were both 100%. The post-test analysis with one sample t-test gave t-calculate of  7.376. Because the t-count> t-table, it can be concluded that the SETS-approach biology learning in concept of  the immune system gave a positive effect on senior high school students’ learning outcome.

Abstract

Pembelajaran materi ekologi membutuhkan sumber belajar yang nyata untuk memahaminya. Berdasarkan observasi awal di SMA Negeri 7 Semarang diketahui bahwa nilai ketuntasan klasikal masih rendah yaitu sebesar 67,5%. Perlu adanya inovasi pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa. Salah satu strategi dan model pembelajaran yang dapat diterapkan untuk membangkitkan aktivitas dan semangat belajar siswa adalah dengan menggunakan strategi bioedutainmen dengan model pembelajaran group investigation. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa setelah mengikuti pembelajaran dengan strategi bioedutainmen dengan model pembelajaran group investigation. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 7 Semarang pada Semester Genap Tahun Ajaran 2015/2016. Sampel pada penelitian ini diambil menggunakan cara purposive sampling dan terpilih 2 kelas yaitu X MIA 4 dan X MIA 6. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah pre experiment design dengan one shot case study. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata hasil belajar dari dua kelas mencapai ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 98,6%. Rata-rata aktivitas siswa dari kedua kelas sampel mencapai 90,5%. Hasil penelitian tersebut sudah melampaui kriteria minimum yang ditetapkan yaitu sebesar ≥85%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan strategi bioedutainmen dengan model pembelajaran group investigation berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar dan aktivitas siswa. Learning materials ecology requires real learning resources to understand. Based on early observations in SMA Negeri 7 Semarang is known that the classical completeness is still low at 67.5%. Need for innovation to improve activity and the results of learning students. One of the strategies and learning model that can be applied to generate activity and enthusiasm of student learning is to use a bioedutainmen strategy with model group investigation learning. This study aims to know the activity and the results of learning students after following the learning bioedutainmen strategy with group investigation learning model. This research was conducted in SMA Negeri 7 Semarang in the second Semester in Academic Year 2015/ 2016. Samples were taken using purposive sampling and selected two classes of X MIA 4 and X MIA 6. The research was pre experiment design with one shot case study. The results of research showed that the average learning outcomes of the two classes achieve classical amounted to 98.6%. The average activity of students of second grade sample reached 90,5 %. The results of these studies have exceeded the minimum criteria set forth in the amount of ≥85%. Based on the results of this study concluded that the use of the learning bioedutainmen strategy with group investigation learning model have positive effect on the results of learning and student activity.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil dan mengungkap fakta-fakta penyebab miskonsepsi pada materi sistem regulasi siswa kelas XI SMA Kota Semarang. Studi kasus dilakukan di 6 SMA Kota Semarang yang dipilih untuk mendapatkan data hasil tes identifikasi miskonsepsi materi sistem regulasi dengan metode Certainty of Response Index (CRI). Analisis data dilakukan secara kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa mengalami miskonsepsi materi sistem regulasi dengan kategori sedang (47,51%). Rata-rata siswa SMA kelompok atas, tengah, dan bawah mengalami miskonsepsi yang tinggi pada konsep fungsi sistem saraf, aplikasi sistem indera, dan fungsi sistem hormon. Penyebab miskonsepsi tersebut antara lain strategi pembelajaran guru kurang bermakna bagi siswa, sumber belajar yang kurang valid, dan cara belajar yang cenderung menghafal. This study was aimed to know the profile and explore he root of misconception at regulation system topic of grade XI students in Semarang. Case-study was done on 6 selected High Schools in Semarang to get the misconception test result on regulation systems topic by Certainty of Response Index (CRI) methods. Data was analyzed by qualitative methods. The findings showed that student had misconception at regulation system topic on medium category (47,51%). Students on the top, middle, and below group had misconception on the concept of nervous system function, the application of five senses systems, and the function of hormonal systems. The misconceptions was caused by less meaningful learning, less valid of learning resources, and the method of study which tended to use memorizing.

Abstract

BackgroundDiabetes mellitus is a chronic disease caused by lack of insulin production in the pancreas or by insulin resistance, the disease being characterized by elevated blood glucose levels. Hyperglycemia in diabetes could lead to oxidative stress due to the rise in 8-oxo-2-deoxyguanosine (8-oxo-dG) levels and the decrease in levels of total antioxidant status (TAS). The purpose of this study was to assess the effect Aloe vera extract on 8-oxo-dG level and total antioxidant status in diabetic rat testis. MethodsThis was an experimental laboratory study with 20 rat samples which were divided into 4 groups (1 control group and 3 treatment groups). Diabetes was induced in the rats by streptozotocin (STZ) at 65 mg/kgBW. The diabetic rats were then treated for 28 days with Aloe vera extract at 0 mg (P0), 200 mg rind (P1), 200 mg pulp (P2), respectively. The level of 8 -oxo-dG was measured by ELISA and total antioxidant status with 2,2 -azino-bis (3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid (ABTS). Data were analyzed with ANOVA and Least Significant Difference Advanced Test at P<0.05. Results8-Oxo-dG levels were significantly different between the control group and both P0 and P2, but not between the control group and P1. Among the treatment groups the 8-oxo-dG levels were significantly different. Mean total antioxidant status was significantly different between control and treatment groups, and also between treatment groups (p<0.05). ConclusionsAloe vera extract reduced free radicals (level of 8-oxo-dG) and increased the total antioxidant status in diabetic rat testis.
