Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran dengan model PBL berbantuan tutor sebaya terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa pada materi sel, dan untuk mengetahui peningkatan KPS siswa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMAN 1 Salatiga pada semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2018/2019. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah nonequivalen control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI MIPA SMAN 1 Salatiga, sedangkan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas XI MIPA 6 dan XI MIPA 7 yang diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan Mean antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol yaitu masing-masing 29,44 dan 19,54. Hasil uji t menunjukkan thitung 0,046< 0,05, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Pada kelas eksperimen, rerata peningkatan KPS dasar sebesar 101,57% dan KPS terintegrasi sebesar 130,32%. Sedangkan pada kelas kontrol, rerata peningkatan KPS dasar sebesar 60,46% dan KPS terintegrasi sebesar 89,54%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran materi sel dengan model PBL berbantuan tutor sebaya berpengaruh positif terhadap KPS siswa, dengan peningkatan KPS meliputi KPS dasar dan KPS terintegrasi.

Abstract

Cell Biology material that can not be seen with the naked eye and had to use the help tools (microscope) to be one reason for student difficulties in imagining is real. Time of lessons a limited cause not all the material can be given during lectures. Also by means of a simple (OHP) makes the material can not be described in detail. These facts affect the learning results obtained is not optimal, that is only 55% of students who obtained a value ≥ 70. Hence the need for a multimedia tool that is able to present the text, images, graphics, video, sound, and animation, so that students will gain knowledge as well as a concrete experience .The purpose of this study were: to determine the utilization of multimedia in Cell Biology course in improving student understanding. This research was conducted in 2 cycles with each cycle comprising three meetings. The first and second meetings for learning with multimedia and the third meeting was the discussion and evaluation. The main variables are the result of learning by supporting variables, such as student activity during the discussion, the performance of lecture and student responses . As an indicator of student performance is the result of learning gained ≥ 71 ≥ 80% of the whole class. The results showed in the first cycle the average results of student learning has reached 77.33 with the understanding level of 72.97%. The average study result on the second cycle is 81.77 with a level of understanding of 94.59%. To support variable (cycle I and II), ≥ 55% - 100% of students have been conducting activities during the discussion, score 77% - 100% for the performance of lecture and student responses is positive. Conclusion drawn is that the Cell Biology of learning with multimedia can increase students' understanding. This is indicated by the average student learning outcomes is 77.33 with a level of understanding by 72, 97% in the first cycle increased on the second cycle was increased to 81.77 with a level of understanding reached 94.59%. Suggestions put forward is that it took a relatively long time in preparing a variety of research instruments and time efficiency in teaching and learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan efektivitas aktivitas antioksidan antara madu randu (Ceiba petandra) dan madu kelengkeng (Nephelium longanum) dalam memperbaiki profil lipid darah dan MDA serum darah tikus hiperlipidemik. Tiga kelompok perlakuan masing-masing 5 ulangan diperlakukan sebagai berikut kelompok I : kontrol negatif, II: diberi madu randu dan III diberi madu kelengkeng masing-masing dengan dosis 10 ml/kg BB tikus dilarutkan dalam 5 ml air /hari, Madu diberikan selama 15 hari, pada hari ke 16 diukur profil lipid darahnya meliputi kolesterol, trigliserida, LDL, HDL dan MDA. Hasilnya dianalisis dengan anava satu jalan dan bila berbeda signifikan dilanjutkan dengan uji beda Duncan Multiple Range Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kelompok kontrol dan perlakuan berbeda signifikan. Hasil uji lanjut menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbedaan efektivitas aktivitas antioksidan antara madu randu dan madu kelengkeng dalam memperbaiki profil lipid darah namun madu randu lebih efektif menurunkan MDA dibandingkan madu kelengkeng.Mekanisme antioksidasi pada madu terjadi dengan menghambat proses peroksidasi lipid.

Abstract

Abstrak. Biji koro benguk banyak dipergunakankan untuk tambahan pakan ternak seperti babi dan unggas dengan memberikan hasil berupa meningkatnya berat badan dan performan tubuh yang baik. Tercapainya pubertas pada puyuh dapat diamati dari performan tubuh, munculnya suara, bertelur dan secara morfologi adalah dengan melihat perkembangan folikel ovariumnya. Senyawa bioaktif dalam biji koro benguk yang diduga berefek fertilitas adalah alkaloid dan L-Dopa melalui pengaruhnya pada sekresi hormon gonadotropin dari kelenjar hipofisis. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji pengaruh penambahan tepung biji koro benguk untuk stumulasi pubertas puyuh. Sampel penelitian adalah 16 ekor puyuh prapubertas yang terbagi menjadi empat, yaitu kelompok 0 %, 10 %, 20 % dan 40 % tepung biji koro benguk. Tepung yang dicampur pakan diberikan 2 kali sehari selama 30 hari. Data berupa berat ovarium dianalisis dengan anava satu jalan pada taraf uji 5 % dan Beda Nyata Terkecil. Struktur morfologi ovarium dianalisis secara deskriptif dengan mengamati folikelnya. Hasil penelitian menunujukkan bahwa ada pengaruh tepung biji koro benguk pada berat ovarium dengan hasil F hitung 3,60 > dari F tabel 3,49 dan terdapat beda nyata antara kelompok yang mendapatkan 0 % dengan 20 % dan 40 %, namun tidak berbeda antara kelompok 0 dengan 10 % dan 20 % dengan 40 %. Struktur morfologi ovarium menunjukkan bahwa ada kecenderungan bertambahnya folikel yang berkembang dengan semakin banyaknya persentase tepung yang diberikan. Simpulan yang diambil adalah bahwa penambahan tepung biji koro benguk mampu mempercepat pubertas puyuh betina yang ditunjukkan dengan adanya perbedaan rata-rata berat ovarium antara kelompok Kontrol dan perlakuan serta gambaran folikel ovarium kelompok perlakuan yang berkembang lebih baik dibanding Kontrol.

Abstract

The rapid development of science and knowledge in the 21st century raises competition from each country to create various innovations in various fields. To meet these challenges are those who have the ability to think critically, logically, systematically, and creatively in order to be able to survive and compete globally. This study aims to analyze the development of SSCS-based worksheets on biodiversity materials including syllabus, lesson plans, worksheets, and evaluation tools on students' critical thinking skills (CBC). The learning model used in this study is Search, Solve, Create, and Share (SSCS). The study was conducted at MAN 1 Brebes class X. Samples were taken using a purposive sampling method consisting of 3 classes with a total of 105 students. This study uses R&D research methods with one group pretest-posttest design. Based on the analysis results obtained an average critical thinking ability of students of 86% complete and 14% of incomplete by obtaining an average N-Gain score of 0.6 in the medium category. Furthermore, the average score of pretest-posttest and N-Gain per KBK indicator has quite a small comparison. These results indicate that the development of SSCS-based worksheets is effective against students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

The implementation of the curriculum of 2013 entrusts of innovative and creative learning with the integration of technology in the learning process. Teachers should be creative in finding and gathering learning resources, as well as making teaching materials needed in learning that can help students in learning to achieve goals in the curriculum. So it is necessary to develop learning media based on My Android Biology App in schools in learning biology. Especially in the food digestive system material can be motivate the student and the result of learning. The aim of this study is (1) to analyze the validity of the My Biology App according to media experts and material experts, (2) to analyze the feasibility of the my biology app according to teacher and student responses, (3) to analyze student learning motivation and (4) to analyze the result of learning at student. The method of research is Research and Development (R & D). Pre-Posttest Control Group is the research design. The results of the validation from media experts and material experts indicate that the learning media My Biology App is very valid. It appears in teacher responses with an average of 97.62 and student responses with an average of 108 with a percentage of 90% suitable for use in learning activities. The effectiveness is determined from the motivation data and student learning outcomes. 63% of students are highly motivated and 37% are motivated. The results of the posttest in the experimental class with an average of 86.96 greater than the posttest in the control class with an average of 83.25. In addition, the n-gain in the experimental class 0.74 is greater than the control class with an n-gain of 0.70. It can be concluded based on the results of research that the learning media My Biology App can increase motivation and student learning outcomes in the food digestive system material.

Abstract

Learning science at school is expected to develop critical thinking skills students for the challenges of the 21st century. Ccritical thinking skills are integrated in the curriculum of 2013. The ability of high scientific literacy show high critical thinking skills. This study aimed to analyze the level of critical thinking skills of high school students in the District of Semarang on environmental changes material of curriculum 2013. This study was descriptive quantitative survey method using a questionnaire and observation sheet. The research was conducted in three high schools in Semarang District selected by purposive sampling in SMAN 1 Ungaran, SMAN 1 Bergas and SMA Islam Sudirman Ambarawa. Respondents used is class X IPA as many as 195 students in three schools. The data were analyzed using R software.  Based on the results of research, critical thinking skills of students only in the quite critical category . Kruskal-Wallis test results of chi-square showed a difference in the level of critical thinking skills of students at SMAN 1 Ungaran, SMAN 1 Bergas and SMA Islam Sudirman Ambarawa with significant value 0.000009439. The highest level of high schools students critical thinking skills based on average indicators of critical thinking is SMAN 1 Ungaran with a percentage of 58%. The percentage of students' critical thinking skills in SMAN 1 Bergas and SMA Islam Sudirman Ambarawa is 57% and 55%. Critical thinking skills of students at SMAN 1 Ungaran, SMAN 1 Bergas and SMA Islam Sudirman Ambarawa included in the quite critical category. The proportion of students at the level of critical thinking skills in SMAN 1 Ungaran,  SMAN 1 Bergas and SMA Islam Sudirman Ambarawa is different. The questionnaire results and students' test results showed linkage relationships based on Pearson correlation analysis chi-square obtained 42.199 squared count> squared table with significant value 0.000000168.

Abstract

Abstract ___________________________________________________________________ This research aims to determine the effect of applied animalia learning design with the model of experiential jelajah alam sekitar* on learning outcomes and activities of students class X MIPA in senior high school 1 Ungaran. This research is quasi experimental design and it using posttest only control group design. Sample of this research were class X MIPA 6 (experimental class) and X MIPA 7 (control class), taken by cluster random sampling. Independent variabel in this research is learning design with EJAS model on the topic of animalia, while depends variabel is learning outcomes and students activities. The result of t-test showed that mean posttest value of experimental class is higher than control class, with clasical completeness 92% (KKM ≥ 75). Based on the result the experimental class students activities analysis showed that highest activity is motor activities (92.35%), writing activities (92.12%), cooperation activities (91.90%), analysis avtivities (82.40%), and oral avtivities (80.20%) . In general, teacher and students gave a positive response to applied learning. Conclusion from this research is applied animalia learning design with EJAS model positive effect on learning outcomes and student’s activities.

Abstract

Land shortage becomes the main environmental problem for many schools in urban areas. Hygienic and eco-friendly behavior, along with waste management are not optimally conducted in the schools. This problem is also encountered in SD Pleburan 03 and SD Pleburan 04, Semarang, Indonesia. This program aims to raise environmental awareness of people in the school to take part in embodying the green school program. The responsibility also belongs to UNNES as one of the conservation-centered universities. Therefore, UNNES community empowerment team carried out a community empowerment program to actualize the environmentally-centered green school idea in SD Pleburan 03-04. Methods applied were arranged in various stages of activities, which are socialization, integration, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. Results show that the principal and the teachers of the school are able to develop environmentally based learning infrastructures. Teachers are also able to practice environmentally based learning process. Students are capable to practice hydroponic techniques. Moreover, the school now also possesses an eco –friendly supporting system. In conclusion, this program encourages people of SD Pleburan 03-04 to move forward as an environmentally based green school.
