Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian quasi eksperimen ini bertujuan untuk menentukan: 1) perbedaan hasil belajar antara siswa yang diajar dengan model Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) dengan siswa yang diajar dengan pembelajaran konvensional, 2) besar pengaruh model TAI pada materi kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI MIA 1 (n = 27) sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI MIA 2 (n = 26) sebagai kelas kontrol. Alat pengumpul data dalam penelitian ini adalah tes hasil belajar dan wawancara. Berdasarkan analisis data menggunakan uji U-Mann Whitney diketahui bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil yang signifikan (Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,04 < 0,05) antara siswa yang diajar dengan model TAI dan siswa yang diajar dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Hasil perhitungan effect size adalah 0,55 yang berarti model TAI memberikan kontribusi pengaruh sebesar 20,88% terhadap hasil belajar siswa (tergolong sedang). Kata kunci: Team assisted individualization, hasil belajar, kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan. Abstract: This quasi experiment research was aimed to determine: 1) the differences in learning outcomes between students who were taught using Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) and students who were taught using conventional learning, 2) the effect of TAI model in the solubility and solubility product constants (Ksp) subject on students’ learning outcome. The samples of this research were XI MIA 1 (n=27) as experiment class and XI MIA 2 (n=26) as control class. The data collection tools were the learning outcomes test and interview guideline. The result of data analysis using the Mann-Whitney U test was shows that there was a significant difference in the results (Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.04 <0.05) between the students who were taught using TAI model and students who were taught using conventional learning. The result of the calculation of effect size was 0.55  which meant TAI model had 20.88% influence on student learning outcomes (moderate classified). Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan psikomotorik siswa kelas X MIA SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Pontianak pada praktikum larutan elektrolit dan nonelektrolit. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif. Sebanyak 31 orang siswa terlibat dalam penelitian ini yang dilakukan pada siswa kelas X MIA SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Pontianak. Lembar observasi keterampilan psikomotorik dan lembar wawancara merupakan alat pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Kemampuan psikomotorik yang digambarkan meliputi pada keterampilan membersihkan alat-alat praktikum, menggunakan timbangan, menggunakan labu takar, menggunakan pipet tetes, menggunakan gelas ukur, merangkai alat uji elektrolit dan nonelektrolit dan menguji larutan, berdasarkan hasil penelitian sub keterampilan diperoleh jumlah persentase perindikator berturut-turut 29% (kurang), 68% (baik),  68% (baik), 56% (cukup), 60% (cukup), 90% (baik sekali) dan 75% (baik).   Kata kunci: kemampuan psikomotorik, metode praktikum,larutan elektrolit dan   nonelektrolit Abstract. This study aims to determine the ability of psychomotor class X MIA SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Pontianak on lab electrolyte solution and Non-electrolytes. The method used in this research is descriptive method. A total of 31 students involved in the study conducted in class X MIA SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Pontianak. Observation sheet psychomotor skills and an interview sheet data collection tools used in this study. Psychomotor abilities are described including the skills of cleaning tools lab, using scales, using a flask, using a pipette, using a measuring cup, stringing test equipment electrolyte and Non-electrolytes and test solution, based on the results of the research sub skills acquired percentage perindikator row 29% (or less), 68% (good), 68% (good), 56% (enough), 60% (enough), 90% (excellent) and 75% (good).   Keywords: psychomotor abilities, practical methods, electrolyte solution and Nonelectrolyte

Abstract

AbstrackThe research was aimed to find out the effect of powtoon toward motivation and learning outcomes  on the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 12 Pontianak about Elements, compounds and mixtures subject material. Purposive sampling used to selecting the sample. The essay test and questionnaire about students? motivation were used as instruments. The posttest results of both class were analyzed using the U-Mann Whitney test with a= 5%. The result showed that the value of  Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) 0.000. It indicated that there was a  difference between learning outcomes in control and experiment class. The questionnaire about students? motivation results of both class were analyzed using the U-Mann Whitney test with a= 5%. It also revealed the value of Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) at 0.000. It indicated that there was the difference students? motivation in control and experiment class. Powtoon as the media in learning procces effected toward the students?learning  outcomes as much as 40.66%.  Kata kunci: Powtoon, Unsur, Senyawa dan Campuran, Motivasi, Hasil Belajar.

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar, minat membaca, dan persentase kegiatan saintifik siswa melalui penerapan pendekatan saintifik berbantuan komik pada materi koloid kelas XI IPA SMA Wisuda Pontianak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pre-eksperimen dengan rancangan one group pretest-posttest. Tes hasil belajar, angket minat membaca, dan lembar observasi digunakan sebagai alat pengumpulan data. Subjek yang terlibat berjumlah 11 orang yang diambil menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh. Hasil uji Wilcoxon pada tes hasil belajar menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar sebelum dan setelah pembelajaran dengan nilai Asymp.Sig.(2-tailed) sebesar 0,003. Hasil uji Paired Sample T-Test pada angket minat membaca menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbedaan minat membaca sebelum dan sesudah pembelajaran dengan nilai Asymp.Sig.(2-tailed) sebesar 0,011. Persentase kegiatan saintifik siswa di kelas yaitu kegiatan mengamati, menanya, mengumpulkan informasi, mengolah informasi, dan menyimpulkan berturut-turut sebesar 100%, 45,4%, 87,8%, 43,1%, dan 68,1%. Kata kunci: hasil belajar, minat membaca, saintifik, komik   Abstract: The purpose of this research aimed to know the differences of students’ study achievement, reading interest, and scientific activities percentage through application of scientific approach assisted with comic on colloid material in XIth Grade Science Class of SMA Wisuda Pontianak. This research used pre-experimental method with one-group pretest-posttest design. Study achievement test, reading interest questionnaire, and observation sheet were used as data collection tools. Involved subject consist of 11 people which was taken with saturated sampling technique. Wilcoxon Test on study achievement test resulted there was difference on students’ study achievement before and after learning with Asymp.Sig.(2-tailed) score of 0,003. Paired Sample T-Test on reading interest questionnaire resulted there wasn’t difference on students’ reading interest before and after learning with Asymp.Sig.(2-tailed) score of 0,011. Students’ scientific activities in class i.e. observing activity, asking activity, collecting information activity, associating activity, and concluding activity respectively were 100%, 45,4%, 87,8%, 43,1%, and 68,1%. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model discovery learning terhadap keterampilan proses sains dan motivasi belajar siswa di kelas XI IPA MA Ushuluddin Singkawang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Pre-Experimental Design dengan desain One-Group Pretest-Postest Design. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan tes dan angket. Dari hasil uji hipotesis (uji-t) diperoleh thitung sebesar 15,02 dengan taraf signifikan ( = 5% diperoleh ttabel sebesar 1,703. Karena thitung 15,02 > ttabel 1,703, maka H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Artinya terdapat perbedaan keterampilan proses sains sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan model discovery learning. Berdasarkan penentuan effect size, model discovery learning memberikan pengaruh terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa sebesar 49,74%. Model discovery learning juga memberikan pengaruh terhadap motivasi belajar siswa dengan motivasi sangat kuat dan motivasi kuat berturut-turut adalah 7% dan 93%. Kata kunci: discovery learning, keterampilan proses sains, motivasi belajar  Abstract: This study was aimed to determine the effect of discovery learning model in influencing science process skills and learning motivation of class XI IPA MA Ushuluddin Singkawang. Pre-Experimental Design through One-Group Pretest Posttest Design was used as research method. The data were collected using test and questionnaire. From the results of hypothesis test (t-test) obtained tamounted to 15.02 with significance level (?) = 5% was obtained ttabel 1.703. Since tamounted 15.02 > ttabel 1.703, then H0 rejected and Ha accepted. This means that there was a difference science process skills before and after using of discovery learning model. Based on the determination of  effect size, discovery learning model influenced on students? science process skills of 49.74%. Discovery learning model was giving influence about students? learning motivation by stronger motivation and strong motivation robust respectively 7% and 93%.   Keywords : discovery learning, science process skills, learning motivation

Abstract

AbstractThis research was aimed to produce chemistry comic that was feasible to be used. The form of the research was research and development (R & D) which is adopted from development of Sugiyono’s model for the research and development of Kemp’s model for set of equipment. Chemistry comic was validated by expert judgement to find out feasibilities. The feasibilities of the product were determined by expert judgement using validation sheets. The feasibilities of the product are consist of a feasibility of assessment sheet on the subject or content, feasibility of presentment, feasibility of language, feasibility of graph and feasibility of medium. The results showed that chemistry comic have a very feasible on the feasibility of content, presentment, language, graph, and medium with a total score 3.7; 3.8; 3.8; 3.7 and 3.7 respectively. Thus, chemistry comic can be used as supporting teaching material in the learning process at school or outside school. Keywords: chemistry comic, inquiry, feasibility of the product

Abstract

AbstrakThe purpose of this research was to describe the students understanding concept in matter and its changes in grade Xth of SMK SMTI Pontianak. A descriptive method was employed in this study. As many as 24 students participated as the subject. Essay test and interviews guidelines were used to collect data. According to data analysis show the percentage of student’s conceptual understanding in concept; (1) deinition of matter was 4% (2) grouping of matter was 89.3% (3) solid was 58.3% (4) liquid was 61.1% (5) gas was 40.3% (6) element was 79.2% (7) compound was 54.2% (8) mixture was 29.2% (9) particle of matter was 29.2% (10) metal element was 87.5% (11) nonmetal element was 87.5% (12) homogeneous was 83.3% (13) heterogeneous was 86.1% (14) distillation was 41.7% (15) filtration was 58.3% (16) sublimation was 16.7% (17) recrystallization was 8.3% (18) chemical change was 80.8% (19) physic change was 68.7%. The average of student’s conceptual understanding was 55.9% which caregorized as enough..Keywords: conceptual understanding, matter, material changes

Abstract

                       AbstractThis research was motivated by the lack of motivation and study achievements in electrolyte and non-electrolyte solution material in X class of Indonesia Muda Senior High School. The purpose of this study to determinate whether there a significant differencesof achievements and motivations between students before and after treatment through Project Based Learning (PjBL). To achieve them, a number of thirty students were asked to participate in the study. According to one group pre-test and post-test research design, the students were given a pretest, a posttest, and a questionnaire. As a set of data collection tools, pretest and posttest were used to measure achievement meanwhile questionnaire was used to measure motivations. Analysis data of pretest and posttest through paired sample T-test, and data of questionnaire through T-one sample test. Showed that P-value were 0,000 and 0,000 respectively. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan: 1) perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang diajari model pembelajaran POE (predict-observe-explain) dengan pembelajaran konvensional pada materi koloid, 2) pengaruh model pembelajaran POE (predict-observe-explain) terhadap hasil belajar siswa SMA 1 Muhammadiyah 1 pontianak pada materi koloid. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu dengan rancangan penelitian Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI MIA 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI MIA 1 sebagai kelas kontrol yang diperoleh dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Alat Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan tes hasil belajar dan wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil olahan data, hasil rata-rata skor posttest kelas ekperimen 74,36 dan hasil rata-rata skor posttest kelas kontol 67,03. Berdasarkan  uji U-Mann Whitney, diperoleh Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) = 0,023 yang berarti terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar antara siswa kelas kontrol dan siswa kelas eksperimen pada materi koloid. Hasil perhitungan effect size adalah 0,39 yang berarti model POE (predict-observe-explain) memberikan pengaruh sebesar 18,79% terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Kata kunci : Model predict-observe-explain, koloid, hasil belajar. Abstract: The aims of this research were to determine: 1) the differences of learning outcomes between students who were taught using POE (predict-observe-explain)  model and conventional learning colloidal subject, 2) the effect of POE (predict-observe-explain) model toward student learning outcomes colloidal subject. The from of research was a quasi-experimental with nonequivalent control group design. Classes of XI MIA 3 as experiment and MIA 1 as control were selected by cluster random sampling technique. Achievement test and interview was used to collect data. According to data analysis, average score of experiment and control classes were 74.36 and 67.36 respectively. According to U-Mann Withney test, the value of student of Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) was 0.023 which meant that there was a difference in learning outcome between the control class and experimental class colloidal subject. The result of effect size was 0.39 which meant POE (predict-observe-explain) model had of 18.79% influenced toward student learning outcomes improvement. Abstract

AbstractThe aims of this study were to describe the ability and factors affecting students? conceptual understanding on material of reaction rate. The method of this research was descriptive research. The subjects in this study were 27 students of class XI IPA SMAS Kristen Setia Putussibau. Test of conceptual understanding and interviews guidelines were used to collect the data. The results showed that the percentage of describing the meaning of the reaction rate, determining the reaction order, determining the rate equation, determining the reaction rate constant, determining the price of the reaction rate and explaining the factors that effect the reaction rate based on successive collision theory were 31%, 45%, 41%, 22%, 24%, and 35% respectively. According to interviews, there were two factors that affect students conceptual understanding wich are individual factors were consist of exercise intelligence and motivation, and the social factors were consist of teachers and teaching methods, tools used in learning and family. Social factors become the largest average percentage of students conceptual understanding affect as many as 42%.Keywords: Description, Concept understanding, The reaction rate, Social factors
