Abstract

Soil improvement technique was first introduced by Vidal, 1966, by using a metal strip as soil reinforcement on structure reinforced earth. Soil improvement techniques suited to reinforcement materials used in the structure of soil retaining walls, road structure, the base of the bridge, and repair slopes. Proven by use steel reinforcement, in addition to structure flexible and easy in implementation, can also reduce deformation both vertical and lateral directions. Selection is based sand graded well as the properties it owns, among tractable in employment stack, including the last ingredient, and not cohesive strength is not affected until the rate of moisture. Pull out resistance scale laboratory use plain steel reinforcement diameter 10 mm with the direction and shape of the power profile is retrofitting the longitudinal direction, transverse direction, square-shaped profile, the profile of triangular and square-shaped profile combination. Each test used optimum water content (OMC) and tensile stress normal to be used only on reinforcement overburden soil. In testing using shaped reinforcement square profiles obtained resistivity values greater pull out resitance than the pull out resistance value using directional and other forms of reinforcement profiles. Abstract

Helical Pile A manufactured steel foundation consisting of one or more helix-shaped bearing plates affixed to a central shaft that is rotated into the ground to support structures. At thisresearch will be presented result of static loading test constan rate penetration method (CRP) helical pile conducted at peat. Result of data from loading test in the form of load and degradation interpretation with tangen of intersection method. addition sum up the same plate helical diameterwill improve the capacities support helical pile. But if plate helical most under smaller hence addition sum up the plate helical do not have an effect on the signifikan to Qultimate the helicalpile though plate helical for bigger. Result of the encumbering attempt compared to by result of energy calculation support the helical pile use the method of Induvidual plate bearing and cylindershear. From comparison result known that by Qultimate the method of cylinder shear more coming near result of burden test with the standard error 2,37 while ,Qultimate the individual method of plate bearing come near result of burden test with the standard error 4,38.Key words : helical pile, peat, individual plate bearing, cylinder shear

Abstract

The entire floor cleaning robot is divided into several parts, namely consisting of an Ultrasonic Sensor, Motor Shield L298, Arduino Uno microcontroller, Servo, and Dc Motor. This tool works when the Arduino Uno microcontroller processes the ultrasonic sensor as a distance detector and a DC motor as a robot driver, then the DC motor is driven by the Motor Shield L298. When an ultrasonic sensor detects a barrier in front of it, the robot will automatically look for a direction that is not a barrier to the floor cleaning robot. The distance value on the sensor has been determined, that is, when the distance read by the ultrasonic sensor is below 15 cm. The results of testing the value of the ultrasonic sensor distance found different conditions that occur. In a distance of 15 cm, the condition of the prototype cleaning robot for the road floor cleaning is obtained, while the distance 15 cm, the condition for the prototype of the street floor cleaning robot has stopped.

Abstract

Water plays an important role in the survival of living creatures on earth. The advancement of computerized technology encourages people to make appropriate equipment that can be utilized in various aspects of life, such as ease in controlling the performance of water pumps in the shelter. STMIK Hang Tuah Pekanbaru uses system level switch but there are some weaknesses also in this system level switch that pump will live more than 1 time a day if there is damage to the buoy. In this study will be made a tool that can do the monitoring water height automatically. "Monitoring Water Level Control Arduino Uno using LCD Lm016l" which is able to monitor and control the water level in the Tandon using ultrasonic sensors. The working principle of the appliance is that if the water reservoir is empty or reaches the 20% level, the ultrasonic HC-SR04 sensor will detect the water level and give signal to arduino uno to switch the water tank filler pump and send the water level data to the LCD. If the water reservoir is in full condition or reaches the 100% level, the ultrasonic HC-SR04 sensor will detect the water level and give signal to arduino uno to automatically turn off the automatic water supply pump and transmit the water level data on the LCD, making it easier to control the inventory water.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian pengaruh penambahan asap cair termpurung kelapa terhadap pertumbuhan  Spirulina sp. Penelitian ini divariasikan dalam 3 perlakuan media yaitu perlakuan A (media f/2 Guillard), perlakuan B (media campuran f/2 Guillard + asap cair) dan perlakuan C (media asap cair). Ketiga perlakuan berada pada kondisi lingkungan dengan suhu 29-30 ⁰C, salinitas 20 "°, pH 8 dan intensitas cahaya 3000 lux. Pengukuran pertumbuhan  Spirulina sp  dilakukan menggunakan alat  Spektrofotometer  Shimadzu UV 1280. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan B yaitu media campuran f/2 Guillard dan asap cair menghasilkan pertumbuhan paling optimal dengan koefisien laju pertumbuhan tertinggi sebesar 0,238/hari, diikuti perlakuan C sebesar 0,176/hari dan perlakuan A sebesar 0,139/hari. Penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa asap cair tidak hanya digunakan sebagai biosida namun dapat digunakan sebagai media pertumbuhan.

Abstract

A pile foundation design should be done carefully and as carefully as possible. Each foundation must be able to support loads up to the limit safely, including supporting the maximum load that may occur.  The purpose of this study was to determine the bearing capacity and settlement of pile foundation at Rumah Sakit Pendidikan Universitas Riau Pekanbaru Project. Analyses were performed by static and dynamic methods to determine the bearing capacity of  piles and settlement.  Bearing capacity of piles with static methods is calculated based on the data field (SPT) and laboratory while the method of dynamically calculated based on the field data is data obtained static load test and Pile Driving Analyzer (PDA) while driving operation.  In this paper, we describe briefly how the calculate bearing capacity of the pile vertical for some methods such as Meyerhof, Poulus dan Davis, U.S Army Corps, Briaud et al. Abstract

Soil is a material that serves as an support for the basis of a constuction, be it construction of buildings, bridges and roads. Each region has different soil characteristics in other regions, there have bearing capacity is good and some are bad. To overcome this, it is necessary to repair soil with stabilization method. One way of soil stabilization is with cement. In this study, the cement used are OPC cement and PCC cement. This study focuses on the effect of OPC cement content and PCC against the value of CBR and free compressive strength (UCS) of land. Soil samples tested in this study is the low plasticity clay derived from the intersection Inpress km.11 Perawang, Siak. Content variation mixture used is 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% on each of the OPC cement and PCC to do the same curing time for 14 days.The results showed that the increasing levels of mixed cement both OPC cement and cement PCC, then the value of CBR and UCS will be even greater. The maximum increase of UCS value in the soil mix with 20% OPC and 20% PCC, where the value of each are 6.2 MPa and 2.6 MPa. At levels of 10% OPC and 10% PCC, CBR value of each is 369.6% and 189.8%. This indicates that the OPC cement and PCC cement can improve the physical and mechanical properties of clay low plasticity.Keywords: Low plasticity clay, CBR, UCS, OPC, PCC

Abstract

Abstrak—Kegiatan perkuliahan tidaklah selalu berjalan dengan lancar, beberapa masalah biasanya menghambat kegiatan perkuliahan. Kurangnya waktu dosen dalam menyampaikan materi perkuliahan menjadi salah satu penghambat kegiatan belajar mengajar, beberapa materi yang  seharusnya disampaikan oleh dosen tidak sampai kepada mahasiswa. Sehingga dalam hal ini mahasiswa dirugikan karena kurangnya ilmu pengetahuan yang didapatkan dari dosen. Mendapatkan pembelajaran merupakan hak dari semua mahasiswa dan materi yang diterima  mahasiswa haruslah sesuai dengan hak yang harus diterima mahasiswa pada umumnya.  dengan berkembangnya teknologi pada masa sekarang, maka diperlukan sebuah aplikasi yang dapat membantu kegiatan belajar mengajar di kampus, di mana aplikasi ini dapat mengatasi masalah waktu kegiatan belajar mengajar. Sehingga kegiatan belajar mengajar bisa tetap terlaksana dengan baik. Dengan tetap dilakukannya kegiatan belajar, sehingga dosen tetap bisa menyampaikan materi yang harus disampaikan kepada mahasiswa. Dengan menggunakan Aplikasi web e-learning  ini, dapat menjadi alternatif pembelajaran dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar yang ada pada Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Tanjungpura.  Dari hasil pengujian  blackbox menyatakan bahwa aplikasi sudah berfungsi dengan baik. Sedangkan Dari hasil kuesioner menggunakan skala  likert didapatkan skor dengan total 2429 dari skor maksimal yang berjumlah 3000, yang berarti aplikasi ini sangat baik untuk di implementasikan.

Abstract

Installation of helical pile foundations in different formations and distances will provide different bearing capacities in peat soils. For this reason, a correction value to the bearing capacity of the pile group is required, which is stated with efficiency. This paper aims to analyze the bearing capacity of the helical pile group configuration 2x2 with variations in the distance between the piles of 1.5D, 2.0D, 2.5D, & 3.0D on peat soils, as well as obtaining the efficiency values from the bearing capacity and from the Converse–Laberre formula. The analysis shows the efficiency of the pile for the distance between the 1.5D pile is 0.99, the distance of 2.0 D is 0.93, the distance of 2.5D is 0.86, and the distance of 3.0D is 0.79. The efficiency obtained from the Converse-Laberre formula for a distance of 1.5D is 0.44, a distance of 2.0D is 0.56, a distance of 2.5D is 0.64 and a distance of 3.0D is 0.70.
