Abstract

Abstract. Indonesia is experiencing moral decadence that can be seen from various aspects, so the cultivation of character education needs to be improved. The cultivation of character values can be instilled through learning media that are integrated with natural and artificial appearance materials and types of work. This study aims to produce valid and effective nature and job cards character-charged media to improve understanding of natural appearance in grade V elementary school. This type of research is research and development (R&D) with the ADDIE model (analyze, design, development, implementation, evaluation). Data collection techniques in this study are observation, questionnaires, test and documentation. The data analysis techniques carried out are normality test, N-gain test and hypothesis test. The results of this study obtained the validity of getting a percentage of 98.08% by material experts and 96.25% from media experts with very valid and the effectivity of media nature and job cards character charged can be seen from the results of pretests and posttests of students with the N-Gain score obtained was 0.78 with effective criteria, and the results of the t-test showed that t count (16.401) > t table (2.036). Based on the results of the research obtained, it can be concluded that the of nature and job cards character charged media to improve the understanding of the material of the appearance of nature in grade V elementary school has been valid and effectively used in learning.

Abstract

Pendidikan Agama Islam became a milestone in the establishment of IAIN Kudus. With the transformation of IAIN Kudus into UIN Kudus, the Program Study of Pendidikan Agama Islam will be in demand by students who do not come from Islamic boarding schools or Madrasah Aliyah (MA). To accelerate learning understanding, a differentiated learning method is needed. The approach used in this study uses a qualitative descriptive research method. The results of this study indicate that the lecturer remembers the name of one student at a time. In addition, lecturers understand student characteristics, learning abilities, learning styles, reading levels, and levels of understanding in absorbing material. The existence of differentiated learning methods makes the learning received between students different from one another. Likewise with different teaching methods. Learning that is created according to the needs and understanding of students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the construct validity of psycho-pedagogical variables consisting of pedagogical competence, organizational culture, self-efficacy, and spiritual intelligence in an effort to improve teacher performance in inclusive schools. The study was conducted with a quantitative approach using the SEM-PLS analysis technique. Data were obtained from 250 teachers who teach in inclusive schools in Semarang City. The results showed that all indicators in each construct had a loading factor value of > 0.7, Average Variance Extracted (AVE) > 0.5, and Composite Reliability (CR) > 0.7, indicating that all variables had good construct validity. These findings contribute to the development of measuring instruments in the context of inclusive education and provide an empirical basis for policy making to improve teacher quality.

Abstract

In the past decade, the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) in school education has experienced rapid growth. This study aims to analyze trends in annual scientific publications, average citations, thematic evolution, keyword co-occurrence, and author collaboration (co-authorship) related to this topic. Data were retrieved from the Scopus database for the period 2015–2024 and analyzed using Biblioshiny and VOSviewer. The analysis reveals a significant surge in publications after 2020, with a high level of global collaboration and a dominance of contributions from developed countries such as the United States and Finland. Thematic evolution reveals a shift from technical topics such as machine learning and data science toward more applied and contextual issues, including AI literacy, ChatGPT, and secondary education. Keyword mapping identifies five key clusters, emphasizing AI integration in education systems, personalized learning technologies, and the intersection of AI with social and ethical concerns. This study offers a comprehensive overview of the scholarly landscape and highlights challenges such as unequal adoption in developing countries, algorithmic bias, and the need for inclusive, ethical education policies. The findings aim to guide researchers, educators, and policymakers in promoting AI-informed teacher training, developing relevant AI literacy curricula, and fostering international collaboration to support equitable and effective use of intelligent technologies in school education.

Abstract

This research study investigates the effectiveness of an integrated approach to teaching programming concepts to primary grade students, combining block-based coding exercises (BBCEs) with unplugged activities. The backdrop is the 21st-century digital era, where computational thinking and programming have become critical skills for young learners. The research was conducted with two fourth-grade classes: one received traditional BBCEs instruction (control group), and the other combined this with unplugged activities (intervention group). A post-test was used to compare the groups' performance. The results showed that the intervention group, who experienced the blended learning approach, performed better than the control group, indicating the potential benefits of the combined approach. It's important to note that the study utilized a quasi-experimental design with intact classes and a post-test-only design, which could influence the findings. Despite these limitations, the findings contribute to the growing research on effective pedagogical approaches for teaching programming concepts, suggesting that integrating unplugged activities with BBCEs can enhance student learning outcomes.
