Abstract

Births are controlled by the Family Planning Program. Most women of childbearing age are at a loss to choose contraception. Many women not using contraception because of the lack of information about contraception that is right for them. This causes uncontrolled births and increases maternal morbidity and mortality. Based on preliminary studies in several journals, there are inconsistencies or differences in research results on the variables of between knowledge and age with the selection of long-acting reversible contraceptives. Analyzing the greater relationship between knowledge and age with the selection of long-acting reversible contraceptives.: Meta analysis by searching the Google Scholar and NCBI. After going through the identification and selection stage, 20 articles were included in the meta-analysis. Pooled Odds Ratio (pOR) is calculated using a fixed-effect model for data analysis according to the heterogeneity test using Review Manager 5.4.1. The pOR value for the knowledge variable is 1,76 (95% CI 1,31-2.37) with a mean effect size value of 0,4888 and for the age variable 1,15 (95% CI 0,088- 1,51) with a mean value effect size of 0,4056. The knowledge variable has a greater than a age variable.

Abstract

Based on the 2018 Riskesdas, South Kalimantan Province had almost 60% of health problems, while Banjarmasin City had the highest percentage of oral and dental diseases (38.2%). The purpose of this study is to determine the correlation between the use of oral health services at the Banjarmasin City Health Center and factors such as accessibility to information, the availability of dental professionals, insurance coverage, medical facilities, income, and educational attainment. This study's design was cross-sectional. The Banjarmasin City Health Center housed ninety-seven research participants. The following variables' p values were found using multiple logistic regression and chi square analysis results: income (p=0.0221), insurance membership (p=0.0005), dental medical personnel availability (p=0.0005), education level (p=0.0005), and ease of information (p=0.000). The degree of education (Exp(B)=25.410) is the factor that most affects the use of oral health services at the Banjarmasin City Health Center. The results of this study indicate that the use of oral health services is correlated with factors such as insurance coverage, accessibility to dental professionals, degree of education, and health facilities. At the Puskesmas of Banjarmasin, there is, however, no correlation between income and the use of oral health service

Abstract

Abstract

This community service activity aims to raise awareness and foster a culture of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) among workers in the palm oil plantation sector. The program was implemented at PT X, South Kalimantan, targeting field workers in high-risk units. The implementation method employed an interactive and applied educational approach through five stages: preparation, pre-test, educational intervention, post-test, and evaluation. The training was delivered face-to-face through lectures, discussions, and Q&A sessions. The evaluation used pre-and post-test questionnaires to assess participants’ knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors regarding OSH. The results showed an increase in the average score from 75.47 to 82.97, with 71.8% of participants showing improvement. However, 21.8% experienced a decrease in scores, indicating a persistent knowledge-behavior gap influenced by limited education and inaccurate perceptions. Follow-up training is needed using contextual approaches and simple, easy-to-understand educational media. Company management is also encouraged to act actively as role models in fostering a sustainable workplace safety culture.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Cervical cancer is the leading cause of death for women in Indonesia, with 36,964 new cases and 20,708 deaths by 2022. The coverage of early detection of IVA in Banjarmasin City is only 1% of the target of 108,792 examinations. At Sungai Mesa health center, out of 1,972 targeted women, only 145 (7.4%) utilized IVA services, this is far from the national target of 80%, indicating that there is still low utilization behavior of the cervical cancer early detection program with the IVA method. To explore and analyze the faktors associated with the utilization behavior of the cervical cancer early detection program using the acetic acid visual inspection (VIA) method in the Sungai Mesa Health Center working area. This study used an analytical observational method with a Cross Sectional design conducted in October-December 2024. The sampling technique of this study was purposive sampling with a total sample of 106 samples. The research instrument used a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using chi square and fisher exact tests and multivariate analysis with multiple logistic regression tests. The study showed that there was a significant relationship between family support (p-value = 0.018), health worker support (p-value = 0.007), ease of obtaining information (p-value = 0.006) with the behavior of utilizing the cervical cancer early detection program. There was no association between knowledge (p-value =0.566), accessibility of health resources (p-value =1.000), availability of health services (p-value =0.450) with the utilization behavior of cervical cancer early detection program. Health worker support is the most related faktor to utilization behavior with an Exp B value of 4.366. Abstract

Introduction: Based on data from the Indonesian Health Survey, the stunting rate in South Kalimantan Province in 2023 reached 24.7%. The target for reducing the national stunting rate in 2024 is 14%. Nutrition practitioner play a diverse and crucial role in handling stunting, from assessment and education to policy intervention and advocacy. This study aims to determine the effect of competence, appreciation and geographical proximity on the performance of nutrition practitioner with management span as a moderating variable in preventing stunting cases. Methods: This type of research is observational analytic with a cross-sectional design. The location of this research is at the Health Center in the working area of the South Kalimantan Provincial Health Office and the duration of the research is 2 months. The sample of this research is 280 respondents who were taken using the cluster sampling technique. The data collection method uses a questionnaire. Ethical approval was obtained from the Health Research Ethics Commission of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Lambung Mangkurat University with number No.067/KEPK-FKIK ULM/EC/V/2024 and participants signed the Informed Consent. Results: The findings show that geographical proximity (t = 0.658, p = 0.510) has no significant effect on TPG performance, indicating that the distance between program targets and TPG members does not influence outcomes. In contrast, competence (t = 5.404, p = 0.000), rewards (t = 3.766, p = 0.000), and management range (t = 2.577, p = 0.010) have a significant positive impact on performance, where higher competence and more frequent rewards lead to improved results. The results further demonstrate that management range strengthens the effect of both rewards (t = 3.872, p = 0.000) and competence (t = 3.549, p = 0.000) on performance, indicating that effective coordination enhances their impact. However, the interaction between management range and geographical proximity (t = 0.742, p = 0.458) is not significant, suggesting that distance does not moderate the influence of management range on performance. Conclusion: Competence and reward is the factor influencing performance, while geographical proximity do not show significant influence. Competence, rewards, geographical proximity, and management span simultaneously influence performance with a contribution of 71% (R² = 0.710). This finding suggests the need for organizations to focus on improving TPG competencies through continuous training, skill development, and knowledge enhancement. In addition, it is important to explore other factors outside the research model that may have a significant impact on performance, including intrinsic motivation and better work system support.
