Abstract

Pantai Sepanjang merupakan salah satu pantai di selatan Provinsi DIY tepatnya berada di Desa Kemadang, Kecamatan Tanjungsari Kabupaten Gunungkidul Yogyakarta. Pantai Sepanjang merupakan pantai berpasir putih dengan substrat pantai terutama berupa karang mati dan karang berpasir, yang sangat cocok sebagai habitat tumbuhan dan hewan laut. Salah satu tumbuhan yang mendominasi daerah pasang surut adalah makro alga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keragaman spesies makroalga yang ada di Pantai Sepanjang beserta distribusi dan nilai pentingnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode line transek menurut Trono (1998). Sampling makro alga dilakukan di daerah intertidal pada saat air surut yang berlangsung 1-2 jam sebelum air laut mengalami pasang kembali. Hasil penelitian di lapangan diidentifikasi di laboratorium Botani Pendidikan Biologi dengan menggunakan buku panduan makro alga menurut Trono; Tjitrosoepomo; Adi Yudianto; V.K. Dhargalkar dan Devanand Kavlekar; Emma Wells; Guillermo Diaz-Pulido dan Laurence J. McCook; W.F. Prud?homme van Reine dan G.C. Trono Jr (editor). Penghitungan Nilai Penting yang terdiri atas komponen Densitas Relatif, Dominansi Relatif dan Frekuensi Relatif menurut Trono (1998). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya 13 spesies makro alga yang terbagi dalam 3 (tiga) kelas, yaitu Clorophyceae 6 spesies, Rodophyceae 5 spesies dan 2 spesies Paeophyceae. Spesies Boergesenia forbesii dari kelas Clorophyceae memiliki distribusi yang paling merata. Sedangkan Enteromorpha flexuosa memiliki Nilai Penting (NP) tertinggi yaitu 69.84 dengan nilai Densitas Relatif (DsR) = 30.98, Dominansi Relatif (DR) = 24.92 dan Frekuensi Relatif (FR) = 13.94. Nilai penting terendah adalah Caulerpa racemosa dari kelas Clorophyceae yaitu sebesar 1.08 dengan nilai Densitas Relatif (DsR) = 0.05, Dominansi relatif (DR) = 0.21 dan Frekuensi Relatif (FR) = 0.82. Kata kunci: keragaman, distribusi, nilai penting, makro alga

Abstract

Abstract Human skeletal system is one of the important topics of grade XI of biology high school in Indonesia. This topic is commonly delivered by teacher in traditional method by following the order of the subtopics as written in the biology textbook. This research was a case study aimed to analyse the skills of trainee students on developing the lesson plan of skeletal system, which will be implemented during the field teaching practicum during the intership program. Two trainee students who were in the 7th semester are the participants of this research. Both were in the teaching practicum program in different schools. The skills of developing the lesson plan were analyzed by document analysis, observation of the practices, and measuring the satisfaction level of participant high school students who attended the classes. Both trainees had been guided by lecturers to construct inquiry, contextual and scientific approach-based lesson plan of skeletal system. The lesson plans made by student A and B are different, on indicators and intended learning, organizing the topics, approach and strategy of teaching, student activities, tools used, and the assessment. Lesson plan B is relatively close to inquiry-based activities and contextual teaching and learning. And according to students' satisfaction, lesson plan made by trainee B was more satisfied. The result may suggest that there should be a guidance, which can close the skills gap between trainee with different academic achievement Keywords: paedagogic skills; teacher training; lesson plan; skeletal system; high school biology Abstrak Sistem Gerak adalah salah satu topik penting di kelas XI SMA di Indonesia. Materi ini pada umumnya disampaikan oleh guru secara tradisional dengan cara mengikuti urut-urutan topik pada buku pelajaran biologi. Riset ini adalah studi perbandingan bertujuan untuk mempelajari bagaimana keterampilan dua mahasiswa calon guru dalam menyusun lesson plan sistem gerak yang dipraktekkan dalam Praktik Pengalaman Lapangan (PPL). Kedua mahasiswa adalah mahasiswa semester 7. Keterampilan dan kemampuan mahasiswa dianalisis melalui analisis dokumen lesson plan, observasi keterlaksanaan sintaks pembelajaran, serta tingkat kepuasan pada pembelajaran dari para siswa SMA peserta pembelajaran. Kedua mahasiswa diarahkan agar menggunakan pendekatan saintifik, kontekstual dan pembelajaran berbasis inkuiri. Lesson plan yang disusun mahasiswa (Lesson Plan A dan B) menunjukkan perbedaan pada penguraian kompetensi dasar menjadi indikator pembelajaran, strukturisasi materi, pendekatan dan strategi pembelajaran, aktivitas siswa, media yang dipergunakan, dan bentuk asesmen yang dipergunakan untuk menilai kompetensi siswa. Tingkat kepuasan siswa terhadap pengajaran kedua mahasiswa (Pembelajaran A dan B) juga dinilai berdasarkan penggunaan waktu, media, cara mengajar, kesempatan tanya jawab, diskusi kelas, dan presentasi. Siswa menunjukkan tingkat kepuasan yang lebih tinggi pada pembelajaran dengan Lesson Plan B. Munculnya perbedaan kemampuan menyusun lesson plan sistem gerak menunjukkan perlunya sistem pembimbingan yang dapat mengatasi gap capaian akademik dan kemampuan antarmahasiswa. Abstract

This research considered as Research and Development. The reseach conducted from January to May 2016. The purpose of this research is to develope Subject Spesific Pedagogy (SSP) based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) to reinforce student’s environmental-caring attitude in Grade VII SMP Negeri A Karanganyar academic year 2015/2016. The population of this research was of class VII in SMP N A Karanganyar. Class VII H and VII I were selested as the sample of research. The research design is 4D (four-D) by Thiagarajan. This research model consist of define, design, and develope. The disseminate phase was excluded in this research because the purpose of this research only develope product SSP based on PBL. The characteristic of product is integration of PBL syntax and enviromental subject. The result of validation from expert judgements showed that 90% in RPP (valid), 90% in module (valid), 90% in LKS (valid), and 83% in instrument of evaluation (valid). The development testing result from teacher and students showed that 84% and 79% in modul and LKS (valid). SSP based on PBL is effective to improve environmental-caring attitude. NEP data showed that the mean value of all aspect had been improved from 48,39% up to 54,86%. Paired sample’s t-test showed that sig=0,000 < α=0,05 it’s mean there was differences students environmental-caring attitude between pre and post-treatment. The conclusion of this this research showed that SSP based on PBL is valid and proper for Grade VII SMP N A Karanganyar. Keywords : Subject Spesific Pedagogy, Problem Based Learning, Environmental-Caring Attitude, New Ecological Paradigm

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperirnen yang hasilnya diimplementasikan pada pembelajaran biologi di SMA kelas X penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak pemanfaatan hasil penelitian sebagai sumber belajar dalam hal perbedaan prestasi belajar biologi siswa pada PBM dengan tambahan sumber belajar dari hasil penelitian dalam bentuk modul dan LKS dengan PBM tanpa tambahan sumber belajar dari hasil panelitian.Hasil penelitian biologi pada siklus pertumbuhan jamur diimplementasikan pada pembelajaran biologi SMA kelas X dengan pokok bahasan fungi dengan metode penelitian eksperimen semu. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Simo Boyolali Tahun Pelajaran 2007/2008. Sampel sebanyak tiga kelas yang terdiri dari kelas kontrol kelas eksperimen dan kelas validasi. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cluster random sampling sebanyak tiga kelas. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan dokumentasi, angket dan tes. Uji hipotesis dengan uji t dan uji kesembangan kemampuan awal dengan uji F berpasangan.Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan: Pemanfaatan hasil penelitian biologi pada siklus pertumbuhan jamur tiram sebagai tambahan sumber belajar dalam bentuk LKS dan modul pada materi fungi SMA kelas X memberikan dampak perbedaan prestasi belajar biologi siswa dengan rata-rata nilai kognitif kelompok ekperimen 10.011% lebih baik dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol. Rata-rata nilai afektif kelompok eksperimen 6.59% lebih baik bila dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol. Rata-rata nilai psikomotorik kelas eksperimen 8. 137 % lebih baik bila dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol.Kata kunci: hasil penelitian biologi, sumber belajar

Abstract

Indigofera tinctoria is one of the most important species frequently used to produce natural blue dye commercially. The leafy twigs are the main sourches of indigo dye use since very ancient time for dyeing textile blue. The source of blue colour is indigo, derived from indican. Some communities had been used as a dye since 352-395 AD in Indonesia. The aims of this research were: to analyzed morphological characters of Indigofera and studied the relationships among Indigofera species based on morphological data. Forty-nine samples of I. tinctoria L. were collected from 37 locations in Java and Madura islands. The results revealed that the characters  length of petiole, the color of dried foliage upper surface, the color of dried foliage lower surface, crown shape, vexilum shape, indumentum bract, anther trichome, elevation and soil pH can group four accession. The similarity value among accessions was 50% and divided I. Tinctoriaaccessions into four groups in accordance with the sampling sites.Keyword: blue dye, diversity, indigo, indicant, Indigofera, morphological characters

Abstract

This study was aimed to know: (1) the influence of guided discovery learning model to the scientific literacy; (2) the influence of naturalist intelligence to the scientific literacy; (3) the interaction between learning model and naturalist intelligence to the  scientific literacy. This study is a quasy experimental research  with 2x3 factorial design. The popullation of this study is all of students grade X SMA N 1 Ngemplak academic year 2015/2016. Sample of class is selected by purpossive sampling technique. Data is collected by test techniques (Instrument matter of Nature of Science Literacy Test/NOSLiT) and non-test technique (quesionnaire, observation, and documentation). The data is analyzed by Two Ways analysis of variance test with different content of cell with level of significance 5%. Data analyzing is helped by Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) program 21 version. The results showed that there was the influence of the use of guided discovery learning models to scientific literacy (Sig. = 0.047) <α = 0.05. There was the influence of naturalist intelligence toward scientific literacy (Sig. = 0.015) <α = 0.05, and there was no effect interaction between learning-models and naturalist towards their scientific literacy (Sig. = 0,544)>α = 0.05.Keywords:        Guided Discovery Learning Model, Scientific Literacy, Naturalist Intelligence

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve quantity and quality of student’s question through problem based learning in biology at grade X IIS 4 of SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta. The research was 4 cycles action research that conducted in academic year 2014/2015. Data were collected through observation, interview and video recording, and validated using triangulation method. Quantity of question collected by counting the number of questions during the learning process. Quality of question categorized based on revised Bloom’s Taxonomy. The result of this research shows: 1) PBL effectively increased the quantity and quality of questions; 2) the quality of student’s question in each cycle at factual, conceptual, procedural dimension. Metacognitiv dimension was identified in the last cycles; 3) the increasing of quantity student’s question from first cycles to the fourth cycles is 156 question at first cycles, 130 question at second cycles, 136 question at fthird cycles and 226 question at fourth cycles.Keywords: quantity and quality of student’s question, problem based learning

Abstract

The research aims to increase the ability to find and connect concepts through implementation of instructions in hypothesis generation phase of discovery learning. This research is classroom action research that carried out for 2 cycles. Subjects are 28 students of high school students. The procedure of research consists: planning, observation, action, and reflection. Data were collected through observations, tests, documentation, and interviews. Validity of the data is performed using triangulation method. Data analysis using data reduction, data presentation, and inference with the qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed the ability to find and connect a concept based on score of concept map in the pre cycle is range 2.84% - 5.41%. The average score of concept map in pre cycle is 3.46% with 12 students above average. The cycle I identified a score of concept map is range 5.8%-35.8%. The average score of concept map in the cycle I is 13.87% with 9 students above average. The cycle II identified a score of concept map is range 3.4% score-44.4%. The average score of concept map in cycle II is 18.3% with 16 students above the average, thus the ability to find and connect a concept based on range and an average score of concept map learners increased from pre cycle to cycle II, although the number of learners who is increasing is fluctuative.

Abstract

Toko Arsada merupakan salah satu usaha dagang didaerah Bergas yang bergerak dibidang usaha pakaian. Perkembangan Toko Arsada yang mengalami fluktuasi atau kenaikan dan penurunan diduga dikarenakan oleh harga yang kurang terjangkau, promosi yang jarang dilakukan dan kualitas pelayanan yang kurang memuaskan kosumen, sehingga berpengaruh terhadap volume penjualan di Toko Arsada. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan teknik pengambilan sampel   menggunakan   purposive    sampling    dengan    jumlah    sampel diperoleh sebanyak 96 responden merujuk pada rumus alternative formula Lesmeshow. Berdasarkan analisa perhitungan yang telah dilakukan, variabel harga memiliki t hitung (2.745) > t tabel (1.986) dengan tingkat signifikansi 0.007 < 0,050 yang artinya terdapat pengaruh signifikan antara variabel harga terhadap volume penjualan. Variabel promosi memiliki t hitung (4.270) > t tabel (1.986) dengan tingkat signifikansi 0.000 < 0,050 yang artinya terdapat pengaruh signifikan antara variabel promosi terhadap volume penjualan. Variabel kualitas pelayanan memiliki t hitung (3.881) > t tabel (1.986) dengan tingkat signifikansi 0.000 < 0,050 yang artinya terdapat pengaruh signifikan antara variabel kualitas pelayanan terhadap volume penjualan. Hasil statistik uji F diperoleh nilai F hitung 203,077 > 2,70 yang artinya terdapat pengaruh simultan antara variabel harga, promosi dan kualitas pelayanan terhadap volume.
