Abstract

Humans are social creatures who need to develop themselves in facing life in society. To understand something, a person's way of thinking is influenced by knowledge, the ability to see, and the ability to create a strategy in thinking. One of them is in the education. Based on observations, it is shown that the learning carried out by the teacher when teaching is less varied so that it seems monotonous and the questions asked by the teacher are not in-depth only in the cognitive domains of C1 and C2. Lack of direct application (practice) when learning and the work made by students is less innovative. Through the zoom application, students can also do online learning. This study aims to determine the relationship between students' critical and creative thinking through the Zoom application and science learning outcomes. The type of research used in this research is quantitative correlational type. The subjects of this study were fifth grade students of SD Muhammadiyah 8 Surabaya. From the research that has been carried out, the results obtained are: (1) There is a relationship between critical thinking through the Zoom application and science learning outcomes, because the value of Sig. < 0.05 (0.008 < 0.05); (2) There is a relationship between creative thinking through the Zoom application and science learning outcomes, because the value of Sig. < 0.05 (0.006 < 0.05); (3) There is a relationship between critical and creative thinking through the Zoom application with science learning outcomes because of the value of Sig. < 0.05 (0.009 < 0.05)

Abstract

Public awareness of maintaining body fluid balance has largely focused on preventing dehydration, while the dangers of overhydration are often overlooked. This condition can lead to hyponatremia, which poses serious neurological risks and may result in death. The issue oflow health literacy regarding overhydration prompted the implementation of a mosque-based community service program as a center for health education. This activity aimed to enhance the knowledge and awareness of mosque communities about the dangers of excessive water consumption and to encourage more mindful drinking behavior. The solution was implemented through a participatory approach, consisting of interactive health counseling, group discussions, distribution of educational media (leaflets, posters, videos), and digital campaigns led by mosque youth. Program effectiveness was evaluated using pre-test and post-test and qualitative observations of community responses. The results showed a 75% increase in average knowledge scores and a significant behavioral change, with 70% of participants adjusting their water consumption according to body needs. Additionally, a community group called “Healthy Mosque Friends” was established as a sustainability effort. This program contributed to strengthening the mosque’s role as a center for community-based health promotion that is communicative, religiously grounded, and sustainable. Thus, this health education campaign not only improved public health literacy about overhydration but also fostered a collective awareness of maintaining fluid balance as part of both spiritual and social responsibility.

Abstract

Background: Science learning in elementary schools still faces challenges because many materials—particularly energy concepts—are abstract and difficult for students to understand, resulting in low learning outcomes. This condition requires learning media that provide more interactive and meaningful learning experiences. Aim: This study aims to examine the effect of using Edpuzzle as an interactive video-based learning medium supported by a deep learning approach, which in this study refers to deep conceptual learning rather than the use of artificial intelligence algorithms. Method: The research employed a quantitative method with a one-group pretest–posttest design involving 30 fourth-grade students from SDN Banjaragung 3 Jombang. The research instrument consisted of validated and reliable multiple-choice learning outcome tests, and the data were analyzed using a paired sample t-test at a 0.05 significance level. The findings show a significant increase in students’ average scores, rising from 58.20 on the pretest to 82.40 on the posttest. Prerequisite tests confirmed that the data met normality and homogeneity assumptions, while hypothesis testing produced a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a meaningful difference between pretest and posttest scores. Therefore, the use of Edpuzzle supported by a deep conceptual learning approach is effective in improving students’ understanding of energy concepts and their science learning outcomes.

Abstract

Rabbits are animals that have the potential to be cultivated, but the liquid waste they produce can cause pungent odors. The solution is to process the waste into biourine. This study aims to determine the effect of fermentation time and dosages of EM-4 and molasses on the physical and chemical properties of rabbit biourine, and to determine the best treatment. This research was conducted from March to May 2025 in Pandanrejo Village, Bumiaji District, Batu City. This study used a factorial completely randomized design with 2 factors with 3 replications. The treatment consisted of a combination of fermentation time (0, 14, and 28 days) and dosages of EM-4 (0, 20, 40 and 60 mL) and molasses (0, 25, 50 and 75 mL). The results showed that the treatments had a significant effect on color, odor, pH and N-total levels, but no significant effect on phosphorus (P2O5) and potassium (K2O) levels. The best treatment was obtained in the W2D3 treatment, which produced biourine with a dark brown color, a distinctive fermentation odor, pH 4.57, N-total content of 0.158%, phosphorus (P2O5) 0.024% and potassium (K2O) 0.381%.

Abstract

Bidang studi IPA di SD perlu didukung oleh media pembelajaran yang interaktif sehingga dapat memperbaiki capaian akademik siswa. Platform Educaplay merupakan salah satu media interaktif yang dapat digunakan, karena menyediakan berbagai aktivitas edukatif berbasis permainan. Meskipun demikian, efektivitas penggunaannya dalam pembelajaran IPA masih memerlukan bukti empiris. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengtahui pengaruh platform pembelajaran Educaplay terhadap peningkatan kemampuan belajar sains pada siswa kelas V. Metode  yang digunakan ialah kuantitatif pre eksperimen dengan desain One Group Pretest-Posttest.  Sejumlah 30 siswa kelas V di SDN Banjaragung 3-Bareng Jombang digunakan sebagai subjek penelitian. Instrumen peneliti berupa tes hasil belajar yang diberikan sebelum intervensi (pretest) dan setelah perlakuan diberikan (posttest). Teknik analisis data meliputi uji normalitas yang digunakan sebagai uji prasyarat serta uji hipotesis yang menggunakan Paired Sample t-test. Temuan studi ini memperlihatkan terdapat peningkatan pada capaian akademik siswa setelah belajar dengan dukungan Educaplay. Rerata nilai pretest sebesar 64,40 naik menjadi 81,47 pada tahap posttest, sehingga terdapat peningkatan sebesar 17,07 poin. Hasil  Uji hipotesis menunjukkan nilai t = –19,110 dengan p < 0,001, yang mengindikasikan bahwa terjadi perbedaan yang signifikan antara nilai pretest dan nilai posttest, sehingga hipotesis nol (H₀) ditolak dan hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pemanfaatan Educaplay berpengaruh positif terhadap capaian belajar  khususnya pada materi magnet. Siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran berbantuan Educaplay menunjukkan pemahaman konsep yang lebih baik. Oleh sebab itu, Educaplay layak digunakan sebagai perangkat ajar digital yang berpotensi untuk meningkatkan kemampuan belajar sains di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

The purpose of this educational research is to produce an interactive quiz game leraning media product using the canva application that is suitable and effective for use in elementary school science (IPA) learning. This product is designed to support learning so that it can strengthen student’s learning motivation and leaning outcomes can be achieved. This study used the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model. A result showed that the canva based interactive quiz game media was categorized as feasible based on the material expert test (85.65%) an material expert test (96%). While based on the result of the student questionnaire, it can can be concluded that interactive quiz game are effective in increasing student learning motivation, with a trial test data of 87.79%. from these two point it can be inferred that interactive quiz games are very worthy and effective increasing student learning motivation in animal reproduction material in elementary school.

Abstract

Educators at SD Negeri Bandung 1 Jombang continue to underutilize instructional material throughout the teaching process, leading to students' academic performance failing to meet the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) established by the institution. Furthermore, the pupils exhibit less enthusiasm and motivation in the educational process, adversely affecting their comprehension and diminishing the anticipated learning outcomes. Consequently, an educator must select the suitable media for use throughout the learning process. The utilization of educational media significantly enhances the learning process; it enables educators to more effectively communicate instructional content and aids students in comprehending the material offered. Textbooks serve as an effective educational medium because to its engaging pictures and accessible language, which facilitate comprehension for primary school children, hence enhancing their learning results. This study aims to evaluate how specially designed textbook materials impact the academic achievement of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri Bandung 1 Jombang when learning the IPAS subject Getting to Know Our Earth. The used research design is the one-group pretest-posttest. There are twenty fifth graders among the research subjects. The p-value of 0.000 from the paired sample t-test indicates statistical significance (p < 0.05). Therefore, we can conclude that the specially designed textbook media has a significant effect on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine whether or not the snowball throwing approach improved fourth graders' understanding of big whole numbers at SD Negeri Bandung 1 Diwek Jombang. Innovative tactics are required since conventional approaches are seen as less successful. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the model's efficacy in enhancing students' comprehension and learning outcomes through collaborative efforts. In order to determine if the snowball throwing model improved the academic performance of fourth graders at SD Negeri Bandung 1, this research employed an experimental approach based on a one-group pretest-posttest design. We used SPSS paired sample t-tests to examine the data we gathered from the exams and the paperwork. How well the model works to enhance pupils' knowledge is determined by the study's findings. The findings demonstrated that the snowball tossing approach significantly impacted the learning outcomes for the children. A post-test average of 86.92 rose from a pre-test average of 66.46. This model's efficacy was demonstrated by the t-test, which had a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05. We advocate snowball tossing as a learning activity because it enhances students' engagement, comprehension, and social skills. The results of this study demonstrate that the snowball tossing model improves pupils' academic performance. Students still had a poor grasp of the material prior to applying this methodology. Students' involvement and comprehension skyrocketed after its implementation. Analytical findings show a discernible change between pre- and post-implementation of this learning paradigm.

Abstract

Learning in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) at the elementary school level requires engaging learning experiences that are relevant to real-life contexts and encourage students’ active participation in the learning process. However, classroom practices often indicate that IPAS instruction remains heavily textbook-centered, resulting in less optimal student learning outcomes. The integration of the STEM approach with the use of Canva as a learning medium represents a strategic alternative that has the potential to enhance creativity, conceptual understanding, and student engagement. This study was conducted to identify the effect of implementing a Canva-based STEM approach on IPAS learning outcomes, particularly on plant material, among fourth-grade students of SDN Pundong 2 Jombang. The research employed a quantitative method using a Pre-Experimental One Group Pretest–Posttest design. The participants consisted of 20 students. The research instrument was a learning achievement test administered before and after the intervention. Data analysis was conducted using a Paired Sample t-test. The findings revealed an improvement in students’ learning outcomes after the implementation of the Canva-based STEM learning approach. The results indicate that the use of Canva as a digital design medium through project-based activities significantly enhances students’ understanding of plant structure, the functions of plant parts, and growth processes. Therefore, IPAS learning based on STEM and Canva can be recommended as an effective strategy to improve learning achievement and student participation at the elementary school level.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membangun pemahaman secara konseptual tentang bagaimana minat belajar siswa terbentuk melalui penggunaan media Augmented Reality. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasari oleh rendahnya minat belajar siswa dalam mata pelajaran IPAS, khususnya pada materi organ pencernaan manusia. Kurangnya guru dalam menggunakan media pembelajaran interaktif dapat menyebabkan siswa mudah bosan dan kurang fokus. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan Grounded Theory. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari guru dan siswa kelas V SDN Plandi 1 Jombang. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa media Augmented Reality mendapat respon positif dari siswa, ditandai dengan meningkatnya ketertarikan, antusiasme, dan keaktifan siswa dalam pembelajaran. Visualisasi tiga dimensi pada media Augmented Reality juga membantu siswa memahami materi yang bersifat abstrak dengan lebih mudah. Meskipun terdapat perbedaan tingkat keaktifan antarsiswa dan beberapa kendala teknis lainnya, seperti kesulitan dalam pengoperasian aplikasi, keterbatasan perangkat smartphone dan keterbatasan jaringan internet. Secara umum, media Augmented Reality efektif digunakan untuk meningkatkan minat belajar siswa sekolah dasar dan dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif untuk menciptakan pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif.
