Abstract

The regulatory implications of implementing Deep Learning require adjustments to Government and Ministerial Regulations to improve flexibility and quality of learning. The application of Deep Learning as a learning approach in Indonesia not only changes the way of teaching in the classroom, but also has an impact on existing educational regulations. This research uses a literature study approach, collecting data from books, journal articles and education policy documents on education planning in developing curriculum based on deep learning approaches, and character education. In-depth analysis was conducted by identifying the main focus and linking it to best practices in education, as well as analyzing case studies of successful implementation of deep learning approaches. Recent statistical data is also integrated to strengthen the research findings. This article aims to analyze the educational planning policies underlying the development of deep learning-based curriculum as an innovative effort in learner character building. The findings of the analysis show that existing policies tend not to explicitly accommodate the potential of deep learning in the affective domain and holistic character development. Implementing a deep learning-based curriculum for character building requires a paradigm shift in education planning. Future policies need to more clearly articulate the character goals to be achieved through deep learning, provide a framework that supports the development of innovative pedagogy, and ensure the readiness of infrastructure and educator capacity. The synergy between policy makers and education practitioners is crucial to realize the transformative potential of education in shaping a generation with strong and adaptive characters.

Abstract

Bullying in primary schools is a social problem that can disrupt learners' psychological and academic development. Effective handling of bullying requires an approach that involves school policies, learner management, and strengthening positive culture in the school environment. The purpose of this study is to analyze the role of school policies in tackling bullying, focusing on the integration of learner management and the establishment of a positive culture as preventive and responsive measures against bullying behavior. This research uses the literature review method, by examining various scientific sources involving education policy, student behavior management, and the role of school culture in creating a safe and inclusive environment. The results of the analysis show that clear and structured school policies, accompanied by learner management based on character building and behavior monitoring, play an important role in preventing bullying. In addition, the positive culture instilled through the values of empathy, tolerance and togetherness also strengthens efforts to prevent and overcome bullying in elementary schools. This study concludes that the successful handling of bullying in primary schools depends not only on the formal policies implemented, but also on the implementation of learner management integrated with a positive school culture. Therefore, a holistic and synergistic approach is needed between policies, learner management, and school culture in shaping a learning environment free from violence and social violence.

The results stated that the role of school principals is very important in designing, implementing, and evaluating Child Friendly School (SRA) programs in schools. The principal has a role as a manager, supervisor, as well as a transformational leader who encourages synergy between school community members, then also ensures that child protection principles are applied, and ensures that all activities at school take place safely without violence, discrimination, and bullying. The challenges for school principals during the implementation of SRA include the limitations of adequate facilities and infrastructure, the lack of a comprehensive understanding of the concept of Child Friendly Schools, and the low involvement of parents in supporting the SRA policy in some schools. In conclusion, this study emphasizes the importance of strengthening the capacity of school principals through continuous training and formulating more practical policies so that the implementation of Child Friendly School (SRA) policies can run effectively and sustainably so that it can be optimally implemented in all schools in Indonesia.
