Abstract

Red chili is one of the leading horticultural commodities with significant economic value, making it widely cultivated by farmers. The high demand for red chili seeds among farmers has led to the emergence of various seed brands in the market. Increasingly intense business competition drives companies to optimize their best product outcomes. A good brand image can provide farmers with confidence that the seeds have high quality, durability, and satisfactory yields. This influences farmers' preferences in deciding which brand of red chili seeds to purchase. This research aims to determine the influence of brand image on the purchase decision of red chili seeds. The study involved 100 red chili farmers in the Pasirwangi District as respondents. The analysis used includes classical assumption tests to examine the questionnaire items and simple linear regression tests to determine whether brand image affects the purchase decision. The results of this study show that there is a significant influence of brand image on the purchase decision of red chili seeds by farmers in the Pasirwangi

Abstract

Caffeine sensitivity is one of the main obstacles to increasing coffee consumption. Casandra cascara syrup offers an innovative solution that is low in caffeine and high in antioxidants. Despite its significant health and environmental benefits, sales of this product are still fluctuating due to low consumer awareness and suboptimal marketing strategies. This study aims to analyze the variables that influence purchase intention of cascara casandra syrup using the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) approach. The variables studied include attitudes, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, environmental concerns, and health awareness. This study uses a quantitative approach to the census method with data collected through questionnaires to consumers of cascara casandra syrup. Data analysis was performed using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4.0. The results showed that attitude, perceived behavioral control, environmental concern, and health awareness have a positive and significant relationship with purchase intention. In contrast, subjective norms have a negative and significant relationship, indicating that social pressure does not always encourage consumers to buy. Thus, this study contributes to the development of TPB by adding environmental concern and health awareness, and offers recommendations for improving marketing strategies through consumer education with an emphasis on added value.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of the Consumer Price Index (CPI), international prices, and import tariffs on the import volume of oranges in Indonesia. The increasing volume of orange imports in recent years indicates that external factors play a role in determining import levels. The variables examined in this study include CPI as an indicator of domestic purchasing power, international orange prices as a reflection of global market dynamics, and import tariffs as a government policy affecting international trade. The data used in this study is annual data from 2010 to 2023. The analysis method employed is multiple linear regression to observe the effects of each independent variable on the volume of orange imports. The results show that CPI has a positive and significant impact on the volume of orange imports, indicating that higher CPI levels lead to an increase in imports. International prices have a significant negative effect, implying that an increase in global orange prices reduces the import volume of oranges in Indonesia. Import tariffs also have a negative and significant impact on orange import volumes, meaning that higher import tariffs decrease the number of oranges imported. The multiple linear regression model has a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.85, indicating that 85% of the variation in the orange import volume can be explained by these three independent variables. These findings highlight the importance of controlling import tariffs and monitoring international prices to effectively manage the volume of orange imports in Indonesia.

Abstract

AbstrakEkowisata Kampoeng Ciherang, yang terletak di Desa Cijambu, Kecamatan Tanjungsari, Kabupaten Sumedang, memiliki potensi besar untuk berkembang sebagai destinasi wisata alam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis preferensi wisatawan terhadap daya tarik Ekowisata Kampoeng Ciherang dan memberikan rekomendasi pengembangan berdasarkan hasil analisis. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan survei yang melibatkan 30 responden wisatawan. Responden dipilih secara purposive sampling, yakni wisatawan yang ditemui di lokasi dan bersedia mengisi kuesioner atau diwawancarai. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa wisatawan memberikan penilaian baik terhadap daya tarik yang ada di destinasi ini, seperti keunikan alam dan fasilitas daya tarik buatan. Namun, aspek fasilitas pendukung dan aksesibilitas masih perlu diperbaiki, terutama kondisi jalan dan ketersediaan transportasi umum. Berdasarkan temuan ini, disarankan untuk meningkatkan promosi digital, memperbaiki fasilitas umum, dan meningkatkan kualitas prasarana. Pengelola juga diharapkan dapat berkolaborasi dengan masyarakat lokal dan menyusun paket wisata tematik guna meningkatkan daya tarik dan kontribusi ekonomi destinasi ini. Penelitian ini diharapkan memberikan wawasan bagi pengelola destinasi dalam mengoptimalkan potensi ekowisata yang ada.Kata kunci: Ekowisata, Kampoeng Ciherang, preferensi wisatawan.AbstractKampoeng Ciherang Ecotourism, located in Cijambu Village, Tanjungsari District, Sumedang Regency, holds great potential for development as a nature-based tourist destination. This study aims to analyze tourist preferences towards the attractions of Kampoeng Ciherang Ecotourism and provide development recommendations based on the analysis results. The research adopts a descriptive quantitative approach through a survey involving 30 tourist respondents. Respondents were selected through purposive sampling, namely tourists encountered on-site who agreed to complete the questionnaire or participate in an interview. The findings indicate that tourists give positive evaluations of the attractions at this destination, such as the unique natural landscapes and man-made attraction facilities. However, aspects of supporting facilities and accessibility still require improvement, particularly the road conditions and the availability of public transportation. Based on these findings, it is recommended to enhance digital promotion, improve public facilities, and upgrade infrastructure quality. The management is also encouraged to collaborate with the local community and develop thematic tour packages to increase the destination's appeal and economic contribution. This study is expected to provide insights for destination managers to optimize the existing ecotourism potential.Keywords: Ecotourism, Kampoeng Ciherang, tourist preferences.

Abstract

Perencanaan perdesaan partisipatif merupakan pendekatan yang mendorong keterlibatan masyarakat dalam mengoptimalkan sumber daya lokal, termasuk pemanfaatan pekarangan untuk ketahanan pangan dan ekonomi sirkular. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Desa Jatiroke, Kecamatan Jatinangor, yang menghadapi berbagai permasalahan, seperti pemanfaatan pekarangan yang belum optimal, rendahnya pengetahuan masyarakat dalam mengelola lahan, serta meningkatnya volume sampah tanpa sistem pengelolaan yang efektif. Melalui metode Problem Based Learning (PBL), penelitian ini mengidentifikasi tantangan yang dihadapi serta menawarkan solusi berbasis partisipasi masyarakat, termasuk edukasi, penyuluhan, serta pendampingan dalam budidaya tanaman pangan dan pengolahan sampah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa intervensi berbasis partisipatif meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap pemanfaatan pekarangan sebagai sumber pangan sekaligus mengurangi limbah melalui pendekatan ekonomi sirkular. Model ini tidak hanya meningkatkan kemandirian pangan desa tetapi juga mendukung keberlanjutan lingkungan melalui sistem pengelolaan sampah berbasis masyarakat. Diharapkan, pendekatan ini dapat menjadi model dalam pengembangan desa berkelanjutan yang mengintegrasikan aspek ketahanan pangan dan pengelolaan limbah.Kata kunci: perencanaan partisipatif, ketahanan pangan, pekarangan produktif, ekonomi sirkular

Abstract

The demand for white oyster mushrooms increases every year because white oyster mushrooms are now one of the commodities that are being favored by the public. However, fluctuating production does not support the increased demand, so they still rely on imports. This study aims to measure the level of production efficiency in white oyster mushroom farming. The sample farmers totaled 80 people and were selected using a simple random sampling method. The data analysis method used is the Cobb-Douglass Stochastic Frontier production function and uses the Frontier 4.1 application. The results showed that technical efficiency (ET), allocative efficiency (EA), and economic efficiency (EE) in white oyster mushroom farming each had a value of 76.8%, 40%, and 30%. In general, white oyster mushroom farmers in West Bandung Regency are technically efficient because the efficiency index is above 0.7 but not allocatively and economically efficient. Seeing that the average value does not exceed 0.8, this can explain why white oyster mushroom farming in West Bandung Regency is likely to experience fluctuations in production.

Abstract

The pattern of demand and the characteristics of rice-based SMEs are closely related. This is because the pattern of demand for SME rice is a pattern that describes the need for SME rice and can influence the decisions of SME entrepreneurs in managing their business. This study aims to examine the relationship between the characteristics and demand patterns for SME rice in Buahbatu District, Bandung City. The data collected includes primary and secondary data. The sampling technique used in this study is a combination of Stratified Random. The sample used in this study was 59 respondents. Data analysis technique is done by descriptive analysis. The results of the study show that in general the majority of UKM owners are men with junior high school education, aged around 41-50 years with a family of 3 dependents, have been in business for ≤ 5 years, and are micro-enterprises. Most SMEs buy rice with a frequency of 30 times/month with a total of 235 kg/month and an average sale of 87 portions/day. The price of purchased rice is IDR 12,500/kg with a total expenditure of IDR 3,221,949/kg.

Abstract

Supplier performance is an indicator that can be used as a first step for the supplier’s success in the relationship with customers in the future. Supplier with bad performance might disturb the business activity, whereas the good one would impact positively to company success. The purpose of this research is to analyze food supplier performance of RS X Depok including the impacts for the hospital. This research is using descriptive methodology with qualitative approach. Data collection was performed by doing some structured interviews. The chosen supplier performance indicators to be used to analyze the food supplier performance were Replenishment Lead Time, On-Time Performance, Supply Flexibility, Delivery Frequency, Supply Quality, Inbound Transportation Cost, Pricing Terms, Information Coordination Capability and Supplier Viability. The result of this research showed both suppliers had a good performance. Supplier BJ was excellent in every aspect of supplier performance. Meanwhile, Supplier AM showed a good performance in almost every aspect but has supply quality shortcomings. Sometimes, the meat weight was inappropriate so it had to be exchanged and the dirty eggshell had to be cleaned several times. Based on their performance, the food suppliers also positively impact the hospital.

Abstract

Koffie Tandjoeng is a local coffee brand from Sumedang that is produced by SME Mekar Arum Women Farmer Group. Efforts in to compete with other local coffee brands in the market, Koffie Tandjoeng needs to build its brand awareness with effective marketing activities. Marketing mix is a marketing tool that is used to create and build marketing activities effectively by identifying elements of marketing, which include product, price, place, and promotion. This study aims to identify the marketing mix of Koffie Tandjoeng, which is used in building brand awareness. This study uses a quantitative research design with a non-probability sampling technique, with 32 respondents determined by time linear function formulation. The results of this study show that consumers have a good response to product dimensions in product diversity, and price dimensions in the compatibility of the price and quality. Koffie Tandjoeng needs to improve its marketing activities in place and promotion dimensions in building brand awareness. The alternative suggestion to Koffie Tandjoeng in building brand awareness is to do a market expansion, maximizing the word-of-mouth promotion, promoting the products on social media, and promoting the products in events.

Abstract

Productivity of Cap Jago soy sauce at PT Ahon Janata Haurda is still low and spread in Pangandaran Regency and its surroundings. In addition, requests are not always fulfilled on time. Various risks that exist in production activities are the cause of the problem. The purpose of this study is to find a risk agent has the greatest potential for soy sauce production at PT Ahon Janata Haurda. This research is qualitative with a case study research technique. The analytical method used is descriptive analysis and HOR (House Of Risk). The results showed that there were 6 out of 13 risk agent that most determines the risk event namely: high rainfall, the quality of varied raw materials, the weather is uncertain, long droughts, competition for raw materials, the dosage of raw materials is not appropriate. Risk agent has an impact of 79.25% of all existing risk sources.
