Abstract

Kegiatan pelatihan keuangan usaha kelompok pengolahan ikan di Kelurahan Tengah Kota Jambi sebagai upaya peningkatan kemampuan menghitung uang masuk dan uang keluar menggunakan buku kas harian bagi pelaku pengolahan kerupuk ikan. Pelatihan keuangan usaha dibuat sesuai dengan kebutuhan kelompok pengolahan ikan dengan pendekatan praktik menghitung keuangan secara manual dengan menggunakan buku kas harian yaitu mencatat keuangan harian yang terdiri dari keterangan, debet, kredit dan saldo. Melalui kegiatan pelatihan kelompok pengolahan ikan mendapatkan keterampilan pengelolaan keuangan usaha yang dijalankannya. Selain menghasilkan sistem pencatatan keuangan yang lebih tertata, kegiatan pelatihan ini juga dapat memberikan solusi yang efektif untuk keberlanjutan usaha pengolahan ikan kedepannya.

Abstract

Background: Meatballs are a food that easily spoils if stored improperly. This spoilage is caused by microbial contamination. One way to reduce microbial contamination in meatballs is by using natural preservatives, such as cell-free supernatant from Lactobacillus plantarum. This cell-free supernatant contains antimicrobial metabolites that can effectively inhibit the growth of spoilage bacteria. Purpose: This study aims to determine the concentration of cell-free supernatant from Lactobacillus plantarum BAF514 as a biopreservative on the microbiological quality of beef meatballs stored at refrigerator temperature. Methods: A Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 replications was used in this study. The treatments consisted of: P1 = 100% cell-free supernatant, P2 = 90% cell-free supernatant + 10 ml sterile distilled water, P3 = 80% cell-free supernatant + 20 ml sterile distilled water, P4 = 70% cell-free supernatant + 30 ml sterile distilled water, and P5 = 60% cell-free supernatant + sterile distilled water. The variables observed were pH value, total microbes, Staphylococcus aureus, and Escherichia coli. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used in data analysis, Duncan's multiple range test was used if there was a significant effect. Results: The results showed that the use of several concentrations of 100% - 60% cell-free supernatant had a significant effect (P < 0.05) on pH and no significant effect (P > 0.05) on total microbes, Staphylococcus aureus, and Escherichia coli. The pH value of meatballs increased with the lower concentration of cell-free supernatant during storage. Conclusion: It was concluded that the use of cell-free supernatant concentration from Lactobacillus plantarum BAF514 on the microbiological quality of meatballs during refrigerator temperature storage did not increase the total microbes, Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli but increased the pH value of the meatballs. The concentration of cell-free supernatant from Lactobacillus plantarum BAF514 up to 60% was still good for preserving beef meatballs stored at refrigerator temperature.

Abstract

Mini trawl fishing gear has a positive impact as a source of livelihood, but it also has a negative impact on marine biodiversity due to its non-selective nature. This condition requires wise management of aquatic resources in maintaining the sustainability of the marine ecosystem, especially in the waters of Kampung Nelayan Village. The purpose of this study is to determine the diversity of catches in Mini Trawl fishing gear (Mini bottom trawl) in Kampung Nelayan Village, Tungkal Ilir District, Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency. The research method used is the survey method, a method of determining respondents using simple random sampling of 10% from 50 people to 5 fishermen for 10 arrests. The data analysis used was the Diversity Index, Uniformity Index and Dominance Index. The results of the study were obtained that the diversity index value of 3.19 was included in the high category (H'>3), the uniformity index of 1.06 was included in the high category (E>0.6), and the dominance index of 0.06 was included in the low category (C'<0.4). The conclusion of this study is that the value of the diversity index is high, uniformity is high and no species dominate

Abstract

This study aims to determine the income of traditional fishermen with splints in the village of Kampung Laut, Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency. This research was conducted on March 24 – April 03, 2022. This research is a survey research. The types of data collected are primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques were carried out by direct interviews with splint fishermen with questions made in the form of research questionnaires. Determination of research respondents based on the Proposive Sampling method on 9 fishermen for 10 days/trip. Fishermen's income is calculated by looking at working capital/operational costs, catch and selling price. Analysis of the data used includes total costs, revenues, revenues and R/C ratio. The splints caught in the waters of Kampung Laut are Gulamah Fish (Johnius trachycephalus), Sembilang Fish (Paraplotosus albirabris), Mullet (Mugil cephalus), Tongue Fish (Cynoglossus lingua), Striped Shrimp (Parapenaeopsis sculptilis), Lime Shrimp (Matapenaeus brevicornis), Trash fish (Thryssa cuvier), eel (Gymnothorax dorsalis), puffer fish (Aratutron nigropunchtatus). The results showed that the average income of fishermen with splints was Rp.785.180/trip, with operational costs of Rp.264.319/trip, resulting in a net income of Rp.520.861/trip for fishing gear. in the waters of Kampung Laut using a profit-sharing system of 60:40 (2 crew members) where the income of the fisherman/captain is Rp. The fishing effort using this splint fishing gear obtained a B/C ratio value of 1.97. The conclusion of this study is that the fishing effort in the waters of Kampung Laut with splint fishing gear is profitable and feasible to run. The income received by the owner fishermen is quite good because it can cover the operational costs incurred by the ship owner.

Abstract

The phenomenon of the relatively small income of the fishing community so that it is not able to meet the needs of fishermen's households, this situation makes fishermen have to have an additional source of income to be able to meet their household needs. Efforts that can be made by fishermen in Raden Anom Village, Batang Asai District are to catch fish in the Batang Asai River. The people in Raden Anom Village, Batang Asai District have their main jobs as farmers, laborers and self-employed. In addition to the community having the main job, some people in Raden Anom Village also carry out fishing activities in the Batang Asai River. This study aims to determine the contribution of fish catches to the household income of the community in Raden Anom Village, Batang Asai District. The method used in this study is a survey method with the analysis used is descriptive. The respondents to this study were obtained by census of 15 people (100%) fishermen with the data collection instrument being a questionnaire. The results of the research showed that the livelihood patterns of the people in Radon Anom Village, Batang Asai District were diverse, ranging from builders as fishermen, rubber plantations as well as fishermen, motorcycle repair shops as well as fishermen and members of the wallet as well as fishermen. The contribution of income that is dissipated is from non-fish activities, namely as a member of the wallet of Rp. 4,987,500 with a very high category, while the contribution of income from fish activities or from fishing is those that have a livelihood pattern as fishing as well as as a builder, which is Rp. 1,215,000 with a low category

Abstract

The fishing gear used by fishermen in catching mantis shrimp is a gillnet. The purpose of the study was to determine the elasticity of mesh size and net length to the production of mantis shrimp catch. The gillnet used in this study has a mesh size of 3.5 inches and 4 inches and a net length of 900 m, 1050 m and 1200 m. The method used in this study is a survey, and the data analysis used is the Cobb Douglas production function using SPSS version 26 and subsequently in the elasticity analysis. The results of the descriptive study both in number and composition show that the production of mantis shrimp catch based on mesh size in Kuala Tungkal waters is the most using a size of 4 inches, which is as many as 480 fish or 50.57%, while based on the length of the net, the most is using a size of 1,200 m, which is 419 fish or 45.15%. Simultaneous analysis of the signification obtained was 0.00 < 0.05, meaning that the mesh size and net length together had a significant influence on the production of mantis shrimp catch, while partially the significance value for the mesh size was 0.00 < 0.05 and the net length also had a significance of 0.00 < 0.05 which means that the mesh size and net length had an effect on the production of mantis shrimp catch. Based on the elasticity analysis, the value of the parameter coefficient of the cobb douglas regression equation is 1.229 or greater than 1, which means that the production of mantis shrimp catch is included in the category of increasing return to scale or the change in output obtained will be greater than the input used
