Abstract

This study attempts to identify the effects the provision of various trichokompos from organic matter and get trichokompos the best on the growth of and crop production sweet corn ( Zea mays saccharata sturt.). Study using random design complete ( RAL ) consisting of 4 treatment, each’s treatment repeated five times in order to obtain 20 units of experiments, the treatment is provided: K0 = without trichokompos, T1 = 15 ton / ha trichokompos rice straw, T2 = 15 ton/ha trichokompos TKKS, T3 = 15 ton/ha trichokompos dregs know and T4 = trichokompos rice straw + TKKS + dregs know . Parameter examined is tall plant, broad leaves, appear male flowers, appear the female flowers, age harvest, heavy tongkol berkelobot, Long cobs, the diameter of the tunny, heavy tongkol without kelobot and heavy tongkol per bedengan. Implication that can be drawn from the result of this research is to get growth and the production of of a corn plant sweet better suggested treat trichokompos a mixture of the trichokompos rice straw + TKKS + dregs know . Abstract

Chili production in Riau can not meet the needs of the community, because production is still low. One cause of low production of chili in Riau is the infection of disease. The disease is often found in pepper plant caused by the fungus Colletotrichum sp, Cercospora sp . Symptoms and the intensity of the disease are different. So it is necessary to identify the symptoms, causes of disease, the description and the level of disease to be able to control the disease. Identification was carried out at the experimental farm unit in Faculty of Agriculture University of Riau. This study aims to identify the symptoms, causes of disease, the description and the level of disease. The study was conducted using a survey method. Determination of the location of chili crop land is by purposive sampling. Sampling was conducted by a diagonal method with a random sampling of 5 points. The result showed that the disease on pepper plants in the experimental farm unit of the faculty of agriculture University of Riau is cercospora leaf spot disease caused by Cercospora sp (40%), fruit roots and Spot anthracnose twigs caused by Colletotrichum sp (25% and 22,5%).  Keyword: Chili, identification of disease and intensity of disease.

Abstract

Chilli (Capsicum annuum L.) is one of the horticultural commodities that have significant economic value, therefore the use of organic fertilizer or compost is indispensable in improving the productivity of chili, one of the organic fertilizer that is leguminose Tricho-compost. This research aims to determine the effect of multiple-dosage applications leguminose Tricho-compost and got a Tricho-compost of the best dosage leguminose Tricho-compost in enhancing the growth and productivity of chili plants (Capsicum annuum L.). The data were analyzed statistically using analysis of variance followed by Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at the level of 5%. The results showed that the differences in the growth and productivity of chili plants of several dosage of the treatment under research, where the provision of leguminose Tricho-compost  with a dosage of 50 tons / ha, equivalent to 250 g / 10 kg of soil is the best dosage on the growth and productivity of chilli plant.   Keyword :  Leguminose Tricho-compost, Capsicum annuum (L.), dosage and Productivity.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of concentration of liquid organic fertilizer and determine the concentration of liquid organic fertilizer is best for growth and production of lettuce plants at different spacing. The experiment was conducted in experimental garden of Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau on March 2017 until May 2017. This experiment was conducted experimentally by using Randomized Plot Design with Randomized Block Design consisting of 3 levels of spacing, namely: J1 = 15 cm x 15 cm, J2 = 20 cm x 20 cm, J3 = 25 cm x 25 cm, and liquid organic fertilizer consisting of 4 levels, namely: P1 = Without the application of liquid organic fertilizer, P2 = 1 ml/l water, P3 = 2 ml/l water, P4 = 3 ml/l water. The parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves, total weight of plant, consumption weight of plant, crown dry weight, root dry weight and dry weight of plant. The data obtained were analyzed statistically with fingerprint and then tested further with DNMRT at 5% level. Provision of liquid organic fertilizer affect the growth of lettuce plants and the application of liquid organic fertilizer concentration of 3 ml/l of water at plant spacing of 25 cm x 25 cm showed the best results in improving the growth and production of lettuce. Keywords : organic liquid fertilizer, plant spacing, lettuce

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect and dose of the best TKKS Trichocompost on agarwood (Aquilaria malaccensis) seedling growth. The research was conducted at the Laboratory of Ecophysiology and in Faculty of Agriculture experimental field University of Riau in July to October 2014 using a completely randomized design (CRD), which consists of 5 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments used are: K1= TKKS Trichocompos 25 ton/ha, K2= TKKS Trichocompost 50 ton/ha, K3= TKKS Trichocompost 75 ton/ha, K4= TKKS Trichocompost 100 ton/ha and K5= TKKS Trichocompost TKKS 125 ton/ha. Data were analyzed statistically using analysis of variance (ANOVA). Parameters those measured plant height, stem diameter, leaves numbers, root volume, plant dry weight and shoot to root ratio. The results suggest that, there were no significant effect of TKKS Trichocompost toward all parameters, except shoot to root ratio. Keyword : Seedling agarwood and Trichokompost TKKS

Abstract

Busuk batang atas (BBA) merupakan salah satu penyakit yang menjadi permasalahan dalam budidaya kelapa sawit dan mengganggu pertumbuhan serta menurunkan produksi tandanbuahsegar. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menentukan aktivitas kitinase produksi jamur Trichoderma virens LBKURCC71 dan LBKURCC85 endofit dan potensinya sebagai agens pengendalian hayati terhadap Ganoderma sp. secara kualitatif. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Penyakit Tumbuhan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Riau dan Laboratorium Riset Enzim, Fermentasi dan Biomolekuler Fakultas Matematika & Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam, Universitas Riau dan dilaksanakan pada bulan April hingga Mei 2019. Penelitian dilakukan secara observasi danterdiri dari uji aktivitas enzim kitinase pada jamur T. virensLBKURCC71 dan LBKURCC85 endofit secara kualitatif menggunakan metode Zona Bening, dan uji hiperparasit T. virensLBKURCC71 dan LBKURCC85 terhadap Ganoderma sp. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dan disajikan dalam bentuk gambar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa uji kualitatif pada media PDA dan kitin membuktikan bahwa T. virens LBKURCC71 dan LBKURCC85 dapat menghasilkan kitinase. Tipe hiperparasitik masing-masing isolat jamur T. virens LBKURCC71 dan LBKURCC85 endofit terhadap Ganoderma sp. adalah pelilitan lisis dinding sel patogen oleh kerja kitinase. Kata kunci: Trichoderma virens, Ganoderma, Kitinase, Hiperparasit, JamurEndofit

Abstract

The research was purposed to study the effect and get the best dosage of formulated leguminose Tricho-compost on cocoa seedlings (Theobroma cacao L.). The research was conducted by Completely Randomized Design (CRD) that consists of 5 treatment and 4 repelication, ex formulated leguminose Tricho-compost dosage 0 g/polybag, 25 g/polybag, 50 g/polybag, 75 g/polybag and 100 g/polybag. The parameters observed were seed height, leaf number, stem diameter, leaf area, wet weight, root volume, root shoots ratio and dry weight of seedlings. The results of research showed that the giving of formulated leguminose tricho-compost of 75 g/polybags was the best dosage that could increase the height of seedlings, leaf number, stem diameter, leaf area, wet weight, root volume, root shoots ratio and dry weight of cocoa seedlings.Keywords: cocoa, leguminose, tricho-compost, formulated

Abstract

Agarwood is an aromatic substance formed as brown clumps, blackish brown in the lining of agarwood, divided into 3 classses; agar, kemedangan, ash. Aqualaria malaccencis has been known as an agar producing tree. Naturally, the forming of agar needs teens years. Several method has been known formed agar through wounded to Aquilaria malaccencis, Lamk. The reseach aimed was to test stressing at Aquilaria malaccencis. Lamk in forming agarwood. This research was conducted at Plot Forest Research Institute of Technology Fibers Forest at Ujungbatu, Rokan Hulu, Riau for about 5 months, started from June to October 2011. Aquilaria malaccencis, Lamk, was wound by given fisics stressing consist of without stressing (P0), cordage with 1 ring (P1), cordage with 2 rings (P2), prunning 2/3 part crown (P3), and prunning  1/2 part crown (P4) then combined with biological stressing by inoculation of Fusarium sp. The stressing was designed by randomized block design Duncan’s Multiple Range Test at significant level of 5% was applied to compared physics to agarwood producing. The changed of color and fragrance were analyzed by Non-Parametric Test. Kruskal Wallis at significant level of 5% was applied to evaluate significant treatments. Correlations Test was done between treatment at significant level of 1%. The result showed that Aquilaria malaccencis, Lamk, with fisics tressing (P1, P2, P3, dan P4) showed wood colour changed after 1 month inoculation of Fusarium sp. Stressing cordage with 2 rings (P2) which followed by inoculation of Fusarium sp at Aquilaria malaccencis, Lamk, resulted 26,76 g  dryweight of brown agar with best fragrance at level 2 after 5 months stressing. Based on statistical analysis, there were significant between stressing and agar formed. The best stressing at Aquilaria malaccencis, Lamk, was cordage with 2 rings. The result of correlations test showed strong to very strong of infection area, color changing, fragrans and dryweight of agarwood   Key words: Aquilaria malaccencis, Lamk., agarwood, stressing

Abstract

This research aimed to know the effect of  bioslurry interaction and the NPK fertilizer and get the best combination on the growth and production of chili (Capsicum annuum L.) in peat soil.  This research was experimentaly using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD), which consists of two factors. The first factor is giving of bioslurry consisting  of  three  levels: L0 = (0 tons/ha)  bioslurry,  L1= 200  g/polybag (10 tons/ha)  bioslurry,  L2 = 400 g/polybag (20 tons/ha)  bioslurry. The second factor is the NPK fertilizer which consists of three levels  N1 = 3 g/polybag (150 kg/ha) NPK, N2 = 4 g/polybag (200 kg/ha) NPK, N3 = 5 g/polybag (250 kg/ha) NPK. There were 9 combination treatments with three  replications then obtained 27 experimental units, the experimental units consisted of two plants, so that the total population were 54 plants. Parameters measured were stem diameter, height dichotomous, plant height, days to flowering, harvesting, fruit diameter, fruit length, number of fruits per plant, total fruit weight per plant and fruit weight per plant worthy consumption.  Interaction of  treatment bioslurry and fertilizer NPK does not give effect to all parameters. Based on the research in order to get the growth and production of chili plants can be use a combination of bioslurry 20 tons/ha and 250 kg/ha NPK Keywords: Bioslurry, NPK fertilizer, chili and peat soil

Abstract

The objective of this research was to identify the fungi at pineapple rizoshere and indication of its antagonism to Thielaviopsis paradoxa. It was conducted at laboratory from April to Juli 2006 and sampling method was purposive sampling. The parameters of this research were identification of the rizophere fungi and the ability of rizophere fungi ti inhibit the growth of Thielaviopsis paradoxa. The reasult of this research can be summarized that the pineapple rizosphere fungi identified were: 1). Bispora Sp, 2). Trichocladium Sp, 3). Trichoderma harzianicum, 4). Trichoderma longibrachiatum. Bispora Sp. and Trichocladium Sp. Do not have the ability to inhibit the growth of Thielaviopsis paradoxa, while Trichoderma harzianicum and Trichoderma longibrachiatum have the ability y to inhibit the growth of Thielaviopsis paradoxa.
