Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

Swiftlets (Aerodramus fuciphagus) are small flying insectivorous birds and can make nests from their saliva. White swiftlets nests have very high economic value as food and are beneficial for health. Environmental factors are driving the emergence of feed innovation, namely mass rearing activities. The insects used in this study is the rice moth (Corcyra cephalonica). The purpose of this study is to analyze the innovation of mass rearing using bran, rice, and milled corn as feed media to influence the laying and life cycle of C. cephalonica. In this study using 3 feed media namely rice, bran, and milled corn using 4 treatments with different compositions 3 repetitions. The data analysis used in this study is a quantitative description. The data obtained were analyzed by statistical test Independent Sample t-Test. After being tested with statistically C. cephalonica egg production which had a significant difference, namely in treatments 2 (P2) with 3 (P3) and 4 (P4). The innovation of the feed media in treatment 2 had an effect on egg production, but the innovation of the three feed media had no effect on the life cycle of C. cephalonica, so the feed media that should be used as a feed innovation for Aerodramus fuciphagus is treatment 2, namely a combination of feed using corn (25%), bran (25%), and rice (50%) because they can produce more eggs than other treatments.

Abstract

Mount Ungaran leaves an important ecosystem as a habitat for various species, including long-tailed macaques (Macaca fascicularis Raffles, 1821). Long-tailed macaques (MEP) are a type of animal that is not protected according to PP No. 106 of 2018. In the IUCN, the conservation status of MEP has changed from the vulnerable category to endangered and is included in Appendix II based on CITES. Estimation of the population of a species is very necessary to provide an overview of the existence of the species in an area. There has been no research on the estimation of the population and habitat of MEP in Ngesrepbalong Village. The purpose of this study was to analyze the estimation of the MEP population and the condition of the MEP habitat in Ngesrepbalong Village, Central Java. The method used in this study was the survey method with the calculation of concentration points (concentration count). This method is used on various types of wild animals that gather in groups at observation points that have been previously determined based on the results of preliminary surveys along with the habitat conditions analyzed to produce an estimate of the MEP population and habitat at the research location. The results of the analysis of the estimated MEP population in Ngesrepbalong Village found 53 individuals in two groups at two observation points, namely Gunungsari and Separe with the percentage of the MEP population based on sex, namely 28% juveniles, 38% juveniles, and 34% adults. The increasing number of young MEP individuals indicates that the population will increase assuming a constant mortality rate. Poaching and habitat carrying capacity are the most influential factors in the difference in population numbers at the two observation points. The highest MEP encounters were at the Gunungsari observation point.

Abstract

The presto milkfish business activities in Tambakrejo Village are hampered by floods and tidal waves. Floods and tidal waves result in decreased productivity, disruption of the flow of goods and services, and damage to supporting infrastructure. One of the business units affected by the flood and tidal waves is the Enaxmen UMKM managed by Mrs. Kurnia ( Target Partner). Based on information from partners, the disaster that occurred became a serious threat because it greatly disrupted production activities, even at certain times it could not produce because there was no supply of raw materials. The period of 2020-2021 when Covid-19 occurred was a major blow to partners because of the decrease in turnover and production by more than 50% . The problem , based on the conditions above, is that partners are very vulnerable to shocks (disasters) that occur, especially since partners also do not have standard procedures in dealing with these problems . Another problem is that partner marketing is still limited in scope, on the other hand, partners also do not have the capacity to promote products, so that it indirectly has an impact on low product branding. The capacity of Tambakrejo Village MSME actors in managing their business through the implementation of the Business Continuity Plan has increased well . This can be seen from the increasing understanding of MSME actors in planning business continuity amidst the potential for natural disasters . This needs to be done considering that the Tambakrejo Village area is an area that is very prone to flooding, tidal flooding, and fires . MSME actors have also understood online marketing to increase the capacity of the products produced.
