Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the completion of arithmetic operations, multiplication and division of algebraic forms for students of SMP Negeri 18 SPMI Palu. This type of research is qualitative research. The subjects in this study were 2 students taken from 32 grade VIIA students of SMP Negeri 18 Model SPMI Palu. The results of this study indicate that the completion of students with high mathematical abilities in solving arithmetic operations problems of multiplication and division of algebraic forms, namely: (1) ST writes the given problem, changes the problem using distributive properties so that the results are obtained. But on the results of the ST distributive property, they did not write down the number sign because they forgot to write it down. Then perform multiplication operations, add up similar terms and get the final result, (2) ST writes down the questions given, performs tiered division operations so that the results are obtained. Completion of students with low mathematical ability in solving arithmetic operations problems of multiplication and division of algebraic forms, namely: (1) SR rewrites the given questions, grouping similar terms, operating like terms so that the results are obtained. However, SR incorrectly determines the result of an integer operation. This is due to SR's inaccuracy when operating, (2) SR wrote questions, did not perform tiered division operations so that the results were obtained.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain a description or description of the mathematical literacy of class VIIIA students of SMP Negeri 19 Palu on statistical material. This type of research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were students of class VIIIA SMP Negeri 19 Palu who had a visual learning style with the initials ID and auditory with the initials FR. Data was collected through written tests and interviews. The results of this study indicate that the profile of students who have a visual learning style (ID) in solving statistical problems are: (1) ID identifies any information that is known and asked in the question; (2) ID writes down known data using symbols and writes the average in the form of verbal sentences; (3) ID uses the mean or mean formula and substitutes the appropriate data; (4) ID writes the conclusion correctly. Then, the results of this study also show that the profiles of students who have an auditory learning style (FR) in solving statistical problems are: (1) FR identifies any information that is known and asked in the question; (2) FR writes down the known and average data in the form of verbal sentences; (3) FR uses the mean or mean formula and substitutes the appropriate data; (4) FR writes the conclusion correctly.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh deskripsi penerapan metode latihan yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi limit fungsi di Kelas XI IPA SMA Alkhairat Kalukubula. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Rancangan penelitian ini mengacu pada desain penelitian  Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart  yakni (1) perencanaan, (2) pelaksanaan tindakan, (3) observasi dan (4) refleksi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Data yang dikumpulkan pada penelitian ini adalah data aktivitas siswa dalam mengikuti pembelajaran, data aktivitas guru dalam mengelolah pembelajaran dan data hasil tes akhir tindakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode latihan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Alkhairat Kalukubula pada materi limit fungsi mengikuti langkah-langkah yaitu: (1) mempersiapkan pembelajaran, (2) penyajian pelaksanaan, (3) uji coba perilaku dan (4) tindak lanjut. Kata kunci: latihan, hasil belajar, limit fungsi

Abstract

Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilakukan berdasarkan pada hasil observasi yang dilakukan pada siswa kelas I SDN Bobo terhadap hasil pembelajaran Tematik, dimana hasil observasi menunjukkan masih adanya kekurangan-kekurangan dalam proses pembelajaran sehingga menyebabkan rendahnya prestasi belajar siswa. Kesulitan yang dirasakan siswa dalam mengikuti pembelajaran Tematik, karena siswa terlalu banyak dituntut untuk menghafal dan proses pembelajaran yang dilakukan jarang melibatkan siswa secara aktif, sehingga membuat siswa merasa pembelajaran yang dilakukan kurang menarik minat siswa untuk belajar. Berdasarkan hal ini, maka peneliti melakukan penelitian dengan menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Pendekatan Paikem pada pembelajaran Tematik. Pada pelaksanaan siklus satu, hasil belajar siswa kurang memuaskan terlihat dari 23 orang siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran ada 11 orang siswa yang belum tuntas. Ini membuat peneliti melakukan refleksi terhadap penelitian yang dilaksanakan sehingga peneliti menemukan beberapa hal yang akan diperbaiki pada pelaksanaan siklus dua. Pelaksanaan siklus dua memberikan hasil yang baik, dimana aktifitas guru dan siswa yang diamati menggunakan lembar observasi memperlihatkan bahwa peran guru dan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran amat baik, sehingga hasil belajar yang diperoleh siswa cukup baik. Dari 23 orang siswa yang mengikuti proses pembelajaran ada 21 orang siswa tuntas dan hanya 2 orang siswa yang belum tuntas dengan persentase KBK 91,30 %. Ini menunjukan bahwa Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Pendekatan Paikem dapat meningkatkan Prestasi Belajar Siswa Tematik di kelas I SDN Bobo.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan model pembelajaran berbasis pengajuan masalah matematika yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa SMP yang valid. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) yang merupakan tahap pengembangan sebagai lanjutan dari tahap Studi Pendahuluan. Hasil dari tahap pengembangan menghasilkan model pembelajaran berbasis pengajuan masalah matematika yang valid. Kesimpulan penelitian ini bahwa model pembelajaran berbasis pengajuan masalah matematika memuat komponen sintaks yang terdiri atas 6 fase yaitu 1 Persiapan, 2, Penyajian informasi, 3 Pemberian Rangsangan, 4 Pengajuan soal, 5 Pembimbingan dan 6 Evaluasi, sistem sosialnya yaitu pembelajaran berpusat pada proses pengajuan soal, prinsip reaksinya yaitu guru membimbing, mengevaluasi dan memberikan umpan balik proses pengajuan masalah matematika, sistem pendukungnya adalah situasi masalah atau soal-soal yang merangsang siswa untuk mengajukan soal. Dampak instruksionalnya yaitu meningkatnya kemampuan berpikir kritis, sedangkan dampak pengiringnya yaitu kepercayaan diri, kemampuan untuk mengendalikan diri, dan memotivasi.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain a description of the types of errors made by class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Sarudu in solving absolute value equation word problems based on Watson's criteria. This type of research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The subject of this research was taken by three students out of 18 students consisting of two students who made many mistakes and one who made few mistakes. The results of this study were (1) the types of errors made by subjects who made the first mistake in solving absolute value equation word problems were inappropriate procedure, and omitted conclusion. (2) the type of mistakes made by subjects who make a lot of second mistakes in solving the absolute value equation story problem is inappropriate data, undirected manipulation, and omitted conclusion. (3) the types of mistakes made by the subjects who make few mistakes in solving the absolute value equation story problem are inappropriate procedure.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) Determine whether or not there is a significant influence of self-efficacy on mathematics learning outcomes for junior high school students in Toribulu District (2) To determine whether or not there is a significant influence of parental attention on mathematics learning outcomes for junior high school students in Toribulu District (3) ) Knowing whether or not there is a significant influence of self-efficacy and parental attention on the mathematics learning outcomes of junior high school students in Toribulu District. This research is an ex-post facto research. The population in this study were class VIII students of junior high schools in Toribulu District who were enrolled in the 2022/2023 academic year. The sample in this study were 64 students. The data analysis technique used is multiple regression analysis using SPSS 25. The results of this study indicate that at a significance level of 5% (1) there is a significant effect of self-efficacy on mathematics learning outcomes for junior high school students in Toribulu District of 13.2% (2 ) there is a significant effect of parental attention on mathematics learning outcomes for junior high school students in Toribulu District by 16.7% (3) there is a significant effect of self-efficacy and parental attention on mathematics learning outcomes for junior high school students in Toribulu District by 22.4%.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the thought process of students in solving problems in terms of personality types guardian and idealist in class XI SMA Negeri 5 Palu. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. The main instrument in this research is the researcher himself and the supporting instruments are The Keirsey Temperament Sorter (KTS), math problems, and interviews. The results of this study show that guardian students and idealist students are able to perform all stages of the thinking process in solving math problems, namely receiving information, processing information, and forming conclusions. Guardian and idealist students at the stage of receiving information read the problem well. Guardian students read enough once to understand the problem, while idealist students read repeatedly to understand the problem. At the information processing stage, guardian students can explain the problem solving plan while idealist students have difficulty explaining the solution plan. At the conclusion formation stage, guardian students consistently solve the problem according to what was previously planned. idealist students at the conclusion formation stage can solve the problem even though at the information processing stage they cannot explain the solution plan.

Abstract

Pada abad 21 ini telah terjadi pergeseran pembelajaran yang signifikan dari pembelajaran yang berpusat pada pendidik bergeser ke pembelajaran yang berpusat pada peserta didik begitu pula orientasi pembelajaran dari bersifat pengetahuan ke pembelajaran berorientasi pada keterampilan. Pemerintah melalui BNSP merumuskan 5 framework kemampuan yang harus ditanamkan dalam pembelajaran di abad 21 yaitu; 1) Critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, 2) Communication, and collaboration skills, 3) Creativity and innovation Skills, 4) Information and communication technology literacy, and 5) Contextual learning skills. Namun kenyataannya di SMP Labschool Untad pembelajaran yang yang menekankan pada keterampilan abad 21 belum sepenuhnya dilaksanakan. Guru-guru belum memahami keseluruhan keterampilan abad 21 dan belum menerapkan semua keterampilan abad 21 ini dalam pembelajaran di kelas. Oleh karena itu melalui kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini tim pengabdi memilih metode pendampingan dalam memecahkan permasalahan mitra. Proses pendampingan dilakukan selama tiga hari yaitu tanggal 5, 6, dan 9 Agustus 2023, dihadiri sebanyak 20 orang guru SMP Labschool Untad Palu. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian berupa perangkat pembelajaran untuk kelas VIII dan IX yang masih menggunakan Kurikulum K-13 dan modul ajar untuk kelas VII yang sudah menggunakan kurikulum Merdeka. Hasil kegiatan juga menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman guru-guru SMP Labschool Untad tentang keterampilan Abad 21 dan cara mengimplementasikan di ruang kelas mengalami peningkatan.

Abstract

This research aimed to describe student’s metacognition in solving mathematics problem. The research subjects were two students of class VII of a junior high school in Buko. The two subject represented types of components metacognition i.e one student has cognition knowlwdge and another has cognition regulation. Research instruments were metacognitive awareness inventory, mathematics understanding test and interview protocol. Research data were collected by using student’s answer sheets and interviews. The data were analyzed by descriptive method. Based on the analysis, it can be concluded that: (1) NDM student performend her cognition knowledge in the problem solving stages, and it depends on her knowledge types (declarative, procedural, dan conditional knowledge); and (2) PSV student performend characteristics of cognition regulation and they depend on each stage in the problem solving.
