Abstract

Political women in Jane Ahlstrand's view have always attracted greater attention because of their differences with masculine political norms. (Subedi et al., 2023).  In the context of socio-political change, prominent political figures can become icons through which ideological boundaries and power relations are contested and redefined in various discursive platforms. Women in the world of politics have become media icons that are very prominent in the conditions of socio-political transformation. (J. Ahlstrand, 2023). One of Ahlstrand's works is Women, Media, and Power in Indonesia,  a book published by Routledge, sponsored by the Asian Studies Association of Australia (S. Ahlstrand, 2019). This book shows the important relationship between gender and power structures in democratic Indonesia, and the role of online media in regulating these power relationships (Robinson, 2020; Sakai, 2021). By using critical discourse analysis (CDA) as a theoretical framework (Fairclough, 2015), and social actor analysis as a methodological approach (Leeuwen, 2008). This study examines the discursive representation of three Indonesia women political figures, namely the Chairperson of the Indonesia Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) Megawati Soekarnoputri, the Mayor of Surabaya Tri Rismaharini, and the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Susi Pudji Astuti (Aspinall, 2019; Crouch, 2021).The three are the most popular and influential figures in Indonesia representing three institutions, namely political parties, regional heads, and ministries (Budiardjo, 2020; Honna, 2019). These three female political leaders have attracted the attention of the public and the media because they are considered to represent the hopes and anxieties of the nation in a period of transition (Crouch, 2021; Sulistiyanto, 2019). This book shows the important relationship between gender and power structures in democratic Indonesia, and the role of online media in regulating these power relationships (S. Ahlstrand, 2019; Sakai, 2021). This report presents new linguistic evidence in the form of a discourse strategy that reflects the dynamic relationship between women and power (Fairclough, 2015; Sakai, 2021). In the context of political transitions where power structures have historically been gendered, women occupying non-traditional positions of power can become iconic figures because of their striking differences from male political norms (Aspinall, 2019; Leeuwen, 2008). Although their presence in politics "creates a strong public image," this is a threat to the masculine status quo (Robinson, 2020; Sakai, 2021).This phenomenon has both historical and contemporary causes. Since independence, political discussion in Indonesia has often focused on individual politicians, rather than debating relevant policies or issues. Political opposition movements, the rise of populism, and political personalization in the era of democracy have also made charismatic political outsiders emerge as prominent icons, acting as an epitome of public belief. Populist leaders are usually defined as breakthrough makers who oppose entrenched elite groups, whose members are usually seen as enemies. Changes in the production and consumption habits of news media in the digital era play a role in shaping this political trend.

Abstract

The low literacy culture in rural areas, such as Rawaurip Village, Cirebon, is a real challenge. This research aims to optimize the role of students participating in the Community Service Program (KKN) at Swadaya Gunung Jati University in improving community literacy. Using a participatory approach, this program was developed in collaboration with village officials, the Cahaya Nusantara Community Learning Center (TBM), and the local community. Key activities include child literacy mentoring, TBM strengthening, digital literacy outreach, and literacy appreciation. Data collected through observations, questionnaires, and interviews showed positive results. There was a significant increase in children’s reading interest, visits to the TBM, and community participation in literacy programs. This research concludes that optimizing the role of KKN students can make a real contribution to strengthening village community literacy.

Abstract

Penilaian risiko ergonomi pada tenaga kesehatan penting dilakukan untuk mencegah terjadinya gangguan muskuloskeletal akibat postur kerja yang tidak ergonomis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis risiko ergonomi pada tenaga kesehatan di Poli Umum dan bagian Farmasi Puskesmas Klafdalim Distrik Moisegen Kabupaten Sorong menggunakan metode Rapid Office Strain Assessment (ROSA). Metode ROSA digunakan untuk mengevaluasi faktor risiko ergonomi yang meliputi kursi, monitor, meja kerja, mouse, keyboard, serta durasi kerja. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi langsung terhadap aktivitas kerja, dokumentasi foto, serta penilaian postur kerja pada saat pencatatan rekam medis dan peracikan obat. Hasil penilaian menunjukkan bahwa skor akhir ROSA pada kedua aktivitas kerja adalah 7, yang termasuk dalam kategori risiko tinggi. Risiko utama yang ditemukan meliputi posisi duduk membungkuk, ketinggian meja yang tidak sesuai, tidak tersedianya sandaran tangan, serta area kerja yang sempit. Kondisi tersebut berpotensi meningkatkan keluhan muskuloskeletal pada leher, bahu, punggung bawah, dan pergelangan tangan. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan intervensi ergonomi segera berupa perbaikan fasilitas kerja, penataan area kerja, serta penerapan pelatihan postur kerja dan microbreaks untuk menurunkan risiko gangguan kesehatan akibat kerja.

Abstract

Hiperkolesterolemia merupakan gangguan metabolisme lipid yang ditandai dengan peningkatan fraksi lipid, terutama kolesterol total dan kolesterol LDL, dan menjadi penyebab utama aterosklerosis yang meningkatkan risiko penyakit kardiovaskular. Sel pro-inflamasi yang teraktivasi melepaskan Interleukin-6 sebagai respons terhadap stres oksidatif atau kerusakan endotel, serta memainkan peran penting dalam patogenesis aterosklerosis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui korelasi antara kadar LDL dan kadar IL-6 pada pasien hiperkolesterolemia. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan analitik observasional dengan teknik purposive sampling. Metode pemeriksaan IL-6 menggunakan metode Fluorescence Immunoassay (FIA). Dari 30 sampel pasien hiperkolesterolemia dengan kriteria kadar kolesterol total > 200mg/dL dan kadar LDL >130mg/dL didapatkan rata-rata kadar LDL yaitu 154.33 mg/dL dan rata-rata kadar IL-6 yaitu 5.79 pg/mL. Hasil uji korelasi Spearman menunjukkan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0.653 sehingga dapat disimpulkan terdapat korelasi positif yang kuat antara kadar LDL dan kadar IL-6 pada pasien hiperkolesterolemia. Hal ini mendukung hipotesis bahwa LDL berperan dalam memicu respons inflamasi sistemik yang terlihat dari kenaikan IL 6, serta berkontribusi pada progresi inflamasi vaskular dan pembentukan plak aterosklerotik. Abstract

Many blood collection tube manufacturers do not recommend shaking the red tube. Shaking the red tube to avoid the intensity of the changed of blood that interacts with the glass surface of the tube will trigger the contact path in the coagulation cascade. Generally, the blood takes 30-60 minutes to clots at room temperature without shaking. The aim of this study was to determine the effectiveness of shaking the red-cap blood collection tube in producing serum volume. The method of this study was experimental As much as 5 mL of blood was taken and put into 3 tubes with a volume of 1mL each tube. The first and the second tube were shaken 8 times. The first tube was incubated for 10 minutes while the second tube was incubated for 25 minutes. Meanwhile, the third tube (as a control) was not shaken but was incubated for 40 minutes. The tube were centrifuged at 3000 g for 10 minutes. The serum volume was measured using micropipette and collected into Eppendorf tube. The results showed that there were a difference in the number of serums formed after tube shaking by time variation (P = 0.002), the results of the Post Hoc Test using Bonferroni test while showed that the second tube did not have a difference in serum volume with control (P = 0.751). It can be concluded that the red-cap blood collection tube, which was shaken 8 times and incubated for 25 minutes long could accelerate the coagulation process.

Abstract

The problem of this research is the students' learning outcomes in the science subject of simple aircraft for class V SD Negeri Citepus 01 in the 2015/2016 academic year. The purpose of this study is to improve student learning outcomes. This research was conducted in 2 cycles consisting of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects of this study were the fifth grade students of SD Negeri Citepus 01, totaling 35 students. The technique of collecting the results of the short and descriptive test results. Data analysis was carried out by analyzing quantitatively and qualitatively, to find out whether or not student learning was complete or not. Based on the learning outcomes from the pre-cycle, cycle I and cycle II experienced a significant increase. In the pre-cycle learning outcomes were 43% and increased in the first cycle by 69%, while the second cycle increased even more, namely learning outcomes reached 91%. The conclusion of this study is that the application of the experimental method can improve the learning outcomes of fifth graders at SDN Citepus 01 in science subjects about simple machines
