Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui sumber ekstrak dari buah pala (daging buah, fuli dan biji pala) yang berpengaruh terhadap daya hambat Staphylococcus aureus. Selain itu juga untuk mengetahui konsentrasidari sumber ekstrak yang memiliki daya hambat terbaik terhadap S. aureus. Penelitian dilakukan di laboratorium kimia dan biologi FKIP Unsyiah. Metode penelitian adalah metode eksperimen, menggunakanrancangan acak lengkap non faktorial dengan empat ulangan. Peubah yang diamati adalah diameter daya hambat yang terbentuk. Data dianalisis mengunakan Analisis Varian dan dilanjutkan uji Beda Nyata Jujur (BNJ). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh nyata dari sumber ekstrak daging buah, fuli dan biji pala terhadap daya hambat S. aureus. Sumber ekstrak fuli memberikan pengaruh yang lebih baik dibandingkan daging buah dan biji pala. Sumber ekstrak dan konsentrasi terbaik pengaruhnya terhadap daya hambat S. aureus adalah fuli mulai dari konsentrasi 5 x 105 ppm. Semakin besar konsentrasi yang diberikan maka semakin besar daya hambat yang dihasilkan oleh ketiga sumber ekstrak etanol terhadap S. aureus.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan langsung dengan pemodelan di Akademi Kebidanan Darussalam Lhokseumawe. Metode penelitian adalah eksperimen dengan rancangan "Random Pre-tes, Post-tes Control Group". Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi kemampuan mahasiswa. Analisa data dilakukan dengan persentase, N-gain dan uji-t. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan antara kelas perlakuan dankontrol.

Abstract

Microfungal Community on Litter Horizon Layer of Acacia mangiumABSTRACT. Fungal diversity on litter horizon layer of Acacia mangium were investigated to examined fungal species and fungal community on each litter horizon layer, and also to examined relationship between organic content of litter and fungal community. Twenty two species were isolated from three litter horizon layer with dilution method. Total fungal population on five years old A. mangium standing was higher than two years old, whereas on logging former area was low. Total fungal population on standing two and five years old were highest on L layer follow by F and H layer, but on logging former area were highest F layer followed by L and H layer. Aspergillus was dominate on H layer in almost of sampling collection area, beside that Aspergillus and Penicillium were found also on L and F layer. Generally L and F layer dominated by Sp7, Sp5, Sp20, and Sp22. The highest diversity indice on two years old standing was found at different layer.; L and H on health and Genoderma attacked standing, whereas on standing five years old, highest diversity indices was found at L layer, but on logging former area highest diversity indices was found at H layer.

Abstract

Fungi are an important role in litter decomposition process, because most of them able to decompose lignocelluloses in the litter. Fungal colonization on leaf litter of Acacia mangium was observed on shaded and unshaded places to study pattern of fungal colonization in the Acacias forest floor. Samples were taking by quadrate method. Fungal colonization was observing by removed surface of litter layer on 1x1 m2 area and then observed them and measured each of fungal colony  used metal rule. The result showed that there are different sizes of fungal colonies in both shaded and unshaded places. Colonies size at shaded place were 40 to 100 cm while at unshaded place were 25 to 50 cm. Fungal mycelium in each colonies not only distribute on the litter layers surface but also distribute into the bottom of litter layers.

Abstract

Macroscopic fungi growth is influenced by environmental factors. Nutmeg plantations generally cannot stand with heat, so the protective plants are needed. Protective plants will reduce the intensity of light and make a microclimate so that the plantations become moist. This study aimed to determine the types and diversity of macroscopic fungi found in nutmeg plantations. Data collection is carried out by exploratory survey methods and subjective sampling. The research location was divided into 3 stations, namely station I on the riverside, station II in the mountain area and station III around the residential area with each station having 10 transects. The measured parameters include the species diversity index. Data were analyzed using the diversity index formula then also carried out a descriptive analysis which included images, descriptions of fungi, and taxonomic hierarchies. The results of this research on the diversity of macroscopic fungi in the nutmeg plantation of Gunung Kerambil, Tapaktuan, South Aceh, found 28 macroscopic fungi classified into 19 genera and 12 families with the dominating genus are Trametes. The macroscopic fungi diversity index in the nutmeg plantation in Gunung Kerambil, Tapaktuan, South Aceh is in the moderate category with a score of 2.96.

Abstract

Substrate of straw mushroom in general are straw. Spent coffee grounds are one of the wastes that can be used as an alternative substrate for straw mushrooms. The purpose of the research are to know the productivity effect of straw mushrooms on spent coffee grounds substrate, as well as to know the optimal comparison of substrate combinations for productivity of straw mushrooms. This research is experimental with a quantitative approach. The design used was a Nonfactorial Completely Randomized Design consisting of 5 treatments and 5 replications. The treatments were 100% straw (P0) as positive control, 75% straw and 25% spent coffee grounds (P1), 50% straw and 50% spent coffee grounds (P2), 25% straw and 75% spent coffee grounds (P3), and 100% spent coffee grounds (P4). Data were analyzed by Analysis of Variants (ANAVA). The results of this research indicate the substrate combination of straw and spent coffee grounds do not affect to productivity (amount) of straw mushrooms. The optimal substrate combination of straw mushrooms are P3 treatment with a combination of 25% straw and 75% spent coffee grounds.

Abstract

Salah satu upaya meningkatkan profesionalisme guru yaitu melalui sertifikasi. Guru-guru biologi di SMA Negeri  Rayon 01 Kabupaten Pidie ada yang belum dan sudah sertifikasi, untuk mengetahui kinerja kedua kelompok guru tersebut dilakukan penelitian tentang Studi Komparatif Kinerja Guru Biologi yang belum Sertifikasi dengan Guru Biologi yang telah Sertifikasi  di SMA Negeri Rayon 01 Kabupaten Pidie.Tujuan yang ingin dicapai melalui penelitian ini adalah (1) Untuk mengetahui kinerja guru biologi yang belum sertifikasi dengan yang telah bersertifikasi di SMA Negeri Rayon 01 Kabupaten Pidie; (2) Untuk mengetahui perbedaan kinerja guru biologi yang belum sertifikasi dan guru biologi yang telah sertifikasi di SMA Negeri Rayon 01 Kabupaten Pidie. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh guru mata pelajaran biologi yang belum dan sudah sertifikasi di SMA Negeri Rayon 01 Kabupaten Pidie. Jumlah populasi sebanyak 40 orang, maka seluruh populasi ditetapkan sebagai sampel penelitian (Population Studies). Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan datanya survei, dengan instrumen pengumpulan data adalah lembar observasi kinerja guru. Data dianalisis dengan teknik persentase. Untuk mengetahui perbedaan kinerja guru yang belum dan sudah sertifikasi diuji dengan chi-kuadrat (X2). Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kinerja guru biologi yang belum sertifikasi dengan guru biologi yang sudah sertifikasi pada SMA Negeri Rayon 01 Kabupaten Pidie. Kinerja kompetensi pedagogik dan profesional guru biologi yang sudah sertifikasi lebih baik dari guru biologi yang belum sertifikasi pada SMA Negeri Rayon 01 Kabupaten Pidie.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to determine the effectiveness of the leaf extract of the Avicennia marina as an antibacterial and natural preservatives to prolong the shelf life of the fish. The method used is the experimental method completely randomized design (CRD) non factorial, consisting of treatment concentration of 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% extract, positive control, and negative control. A number of bacterial colonies were analyzed by Anava and Duncan test (JNTD) at the level of 0.05. The results showed that the decline in the number of bacterial colonies on the treatment of 20% extract (P4) during the storage period of 12 hours and 24 hours of 34 and 37 colonies. Physical testing best fish in the extract 20% during the storage period of 12 hours of the appearance of clear eyes, skin taut, red gills, meat chewy and dense consistency. Organoleptic testing showed 20% extract treatment is much preferred by the panelists for aroma, flavor, color and texture of the fish is still very fresh. Based on the results of the study concluded that the use of Avicennia marina leaf extract is effective as an antibacterial and a natural preservative on the Euthynus affinis at a concentration of 20%

Abstract

Tea is the most consumed beverage after water and touted as a beverage rich in benefits. In addition to the benefits of tea, there are also substances contained in tea that result in less good for the body, the substance is caffeine. Amount of caffeine depending on the spesies, processing and brewing method. The research "Influence of Weight and Time Brewing on the Tea Caffeine " has been done since May to September 2012 at the Laboratory of Chemical FMIPA Unsyiah. The purpose of the research were to know the weight and time brewing on tea caffeine, and to know the weight and length of the maximum brewingon tea caffeine. The method used experimental design with Completely Randomized Design (CRD) 3 x 3 factorial pattern with three times replication. Two factors examined were heavy tea and tea brewing time. The weight was three level (tea weight 1 g, 2 g, and 3 g) and length of brewing also consists of three level (3 minutes, 6 minutes, and 9 minutes). Data was analyzed by ANOVA test followed by Duncan test. The results show that heavy tea was significant effect on the rate of caffeine, while time brewing was not significant. Similarly, the interaction between heavy with tea brewing time was not significant. The maximum weight and length of brewing were 3 grams and 9 minutes, which is 29,3214 mg (w/w).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis fungi yang terdapat pada bonggol pisang kepok dan kemampuan amilolitiknya. Sampel diambil dari bonggol pisang kepok. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara subjektif. Fungi permukaan diisolasi menggunakan metode pengenceran cawan tuang, sedangkan untuk fungi endofit dilakukan secara langsung. Parameter yang diamati adalah jenis fungi yang terdapat pada bonggol pisang kepok dan kemampuan amilolitiknya dengan mengukur diameter zona bening yang terbentuk di sekitar koloni. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil analisis data diperoleh 16 jenis fungi yang terdapat pada bonggol pisang kepok, meliputi genus Curvularia, Hansfordia, Aspergillus, Fusarium, Penicillium, Mucor, Monilia, dan Biporalis. Berdasarkan uji amilolitiknya diketahui bahwa fungi Aspergillus sp. memiliki indeks amilolitik tertinggi sebesar 0,82.
