Abstract

The number of patients with type II diabetes mellitus with its complications tends to increase from year to year as a result of uncontrolled diabetes. WHO and the Indonesian Endocrinology Association (PERKENI) predict that there will be a significant increase in the number of people with diabetes in the coming years and is predicted to continue to increase. DM in Indonesia from 8.4 million in 2000 to 21.3 million in 2030. Calculation of body mass index manually can certainly cause problems such as taking so long and being less efficient. One effort to prevent this problem is by designing an application that can calculate body mass index using the system. This application was built and designed with the aim of knowing the nutritional value status of diabetes mellitus patients based on body mass index. In determining the patient's nutritional value, a method is needed, one method that can draw conclusions to calculate nutritional value status with fuzzy logic based on body mass index variables which include age, height, weight, and activity. It can be concluded that the Application for Calculating Nutritional Needs for Patients with Diabetes Mellitus can display results based on Body Mass Index, with a total sample of 7 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. The application has also been tested for Quality of Service with a packet loss test result of 0.14% which is included in the very good category, and the delay value of 120.005 ms according to the standard is very good.

Abstract

In this era, careful attention is needed to the development and growth of children, so that if there is an abnormality it can be detected as early as possible. One of the main factors that affect the growth and development of children is the nutritional factor. Lack of knowledge about growing children causes parents not to realize if their child has a disorder such as stunting. Stunting must be detected as early as possible so that solutions can be given to prevent it from happening. These problems must be corrected immediately and the development of the child is not disturbed. Therefore we need an application that can detect stunting disorders in children from an early age so that they can be handled quickly and precisely. In making this application, it will detect the child's height and weight through the camera to perform a nutritional check that detects the child is stunted or not. This application uses artificial intelligence or Artificial Intelligence based on android. Weight measurement results will be sent from the weighing system to the application using the Bluetooth address for the connection so that the weight results can be displayed on the application. Height measurement is carried out using the camera in the application which will detect the child's height through an image. The test results show that the stunting detection application is very helpful for parents to observe the growth and development of children without having to use and calculate children's nutritional problems manually.

Abstract

This article reveals the conceptualization and implementation of energy harvesting system that utilize piezoelectric arrays within environments marked by elevated ambient noise levels. The selected methodology involves conducting an empirical study where the system is introduced into a room with pronounced ambient noise. A series configuration is adopted for assembling the piezoelectric sensors. For this particular experiment, 36 piezoelectric sensor units were arranged, each equipped with a voltage doubler circuit, aiming to harness a specific micropower energy threshold. The experimental results validate the successful development of an energy harvesting mechanism employing a piezoelectric array within a noisy setting. Notably, the device functions optimally at a frequency of 250 Hz. Additionally, a series of controlled experimental tests were executed at a sound level of 95.8 dBA to assess the efficacy of the piezoelectric array. Measurements taken at the voltage doubler output reveal that the device achieves its peak output signal at 3.32 Vpp and 50.42 Hz. The maximum attainable direct current (DC) voltage stands at 1 Volt, complemented by a current of 0.45 mA.

Abstract

The shapes of leaves distinguish the Indonesian grape variants. The grape leaves might look the same at first glance, but there are differences in leaf shapes and characteristics when observed closely. This research uses a deep learning method combined with the faster region-based convolutional neural network (R-CNN) algorithm with the Inception network architecture, ResNet V2, ResNet-152, ResNet-101, and ResNet-50, and uses COCO weights trained to classify five grape varieties through leaf images. The study collected 500 images to be used as an independent dataset. The results show that network improvements can effectively improve operating efficiency. There are also limitations to training scores because the F1 score value tends to stabilize or decrease at a certain point. In the Inception ResNet V2 architecture, with the highest average F1 score of 92%, the average computing time for training and testing is longer than other network architectures. This suggests that the algorithm can classify types of grapes based on their leaves.

Abstract

Raya Ngijo Housing, one of the areas in Karangploso in Malang District has a temporary waste management team that organises the collection of waste from residents and sends it to the landfill. The process of collecting waste from residents is usually at the temporary disposal site (TPS) in the form of moving waste from residential cleaning vehicles and accommodated at the TPS until collection by the Malang District environmental service container for disposal to the transferred to landfills (TPA). Problems often occur when the container collection process is delayed for various reasons, so that the amount of rubbish in the TPS is excessive. One of the solutions made by the cleaning team is to burn excess waste and can be burned using a furnace. However, the combustion carried out cannot be ensured perfect combustion which is feared by the environmental service. Therefore, a remote communication-based furnace monitoring system and android application were made to ensure the perfection of the combustion process so that it could be monitored by the cleaning team. Parts per million (PPM) carbon dioxide (CO2) levels of combustion smoke and combustion temperature are also monitored and controlled in accordance with the safe standards set by the environmental agency.
