Abstract

Abstract

Stunting is a persistent nutritional issue that affects children's physical growth and cognitive development, and its prevalence in Indonesia continues to be a major barrier to public health progress. Posyandu cadres, as the frontline of community health services, play a vital role in implementing stunting prevention programs. This study aims to explore the roles and responsibilities of Posyandu cadres in providing supplementary nutrition, promoting exclusive breastfeeding and complementary feeding (MP-ASI), monitoring infant growth and development, and assisting families in maintaining environmental sanitation. A qualitative descriptive approach using a case study technique was employed within the jurisdiction of Puskesmas Perumnas. The results show that cadres actively identify children at risk of stunting, offer nutritional education, and monitor growth, although they face challenges related to capacity, logistics, and coordination between sectors. To enhance the effectiveness of stunting prevention efforts, it is recommended that cadre capacity be strengthened through continuous training and supervision.

Abstract

Hospital health services comprise the whole procedure from patient registration to discharge after medical evaluation or treatment.  The execution of high-quality service is essential for hospital success and patient happiness.  Service quality may be assessed using the RATER dimensions (Parasuraman et al., 1985).  This research seeks to examine the determinants affecting patients' desire to return to the Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic at Wulan Windi Hospital, Medan, in 2025.  The study used a quantitative methodology with a cross-sectional design.  The sample included 60 patients from the Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic, using complete sampling methodology.  The findings demonstrated a substantial correlation between the performance of administrative personnel and patients' desire to return (p = 0.003 < 0.05).  Additional characteristics, such as facilities, information, accessibility, physician services, and nursing services, were also identified as influencing the propensity to return.  The primary determinant influencing patients' desire to return was nurse care, shown by a p-value of 0.001 and an Exp(B)/OR value of 36.026.  The data indicate that the quality of nurses' contact, attentiveness, and care significantly influences patient satisfaction and their propensity to return to the Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic at Wulan Windi Hospital, Medan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Public Health Center (Puskesmas) management on improving the quality of health services. The main focus of this research is to examine how the implementation of effective management can enhance public access to quality health services. The research method used is descriptive with a qualitative approach, utilizing data collected from various literature sources, journals, and official regulations issued by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia. The results show that the application of management principles such as planning, implementation, supervision, and service evaluation significantly contributes to the improvement of service quality. Public Health Centers that implement good management systems tend to demonstrate better staff performance, higher patient satisfaction, and greater effectiveness in public service delivery. Furthermore, government policies such as Minister of Health Regulation No. 75 of 2014 and No. 44 of 2016 serve as important guidelines in achieving standardized and accredited health services. In conclusion, effective management in Public Health Centers plays a crucial role in supporting the development of quality, efficient, and sustainable health services.

Abstract

Patient satisfaction is a critical indicator of service quality in primary health‑care settings and plays an essential role in strengthening the effectiveness of the national health‑insurance program. Physical facilities, service reliability, staff responsiveness, and professional assurance are widely recognized as core determinants of patient experience. This study was conducted to analyze the level of satisfaction among national health‑insurance users at the Bane Primary Health‑Care Center in Pematangsiantar in 2024 across four dimensions of service quality. The study employed a quantitative cross‑sectional design involving 98 respondents selected using the Slovin formula. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed descriptively. The results show varying levels of satisfaction across the four dimensions. Satisfaction was highest for reliability (70.4%) and responsiveness (65.8%), indicating that patients generally perceived the services as accurate, consistent, and delivered with adequate promptness. Tangible aspects also contributed positively, with 61.2% of patients expressing satisfaction, although limitations in physical facilities and equipment remained evident. Assurance demonstrated the lowest satisfaction level (47.1%), reflecting concerns about staff competence, communication clarity, and the ability to instill confidence. In conclusion, the findings highlight the need to strengthen physical infrastructure and enhance professional assurance while maintaining reliable and responsive service delivery. Improving these dimensions may contribute to higher patient satisfaction and support the overall effectiveness of the national health‑insurance system. Keywords: patient satisfaction; tangible; reliability; responsiveness; assurance; primary health care
