Abstract

This study aims to see the direct or indirect influence of leg muscle explosiveness, agility, and flexibility on the 100-meter sprint speed of Padang club (APC) athletic athletes. This type of research is causal associative quantitative research with path analysis techniques. The population in this study was all 35 Padang club (APC) athletic athletes, 20 adolescent athletes (junior high/high school), 15 and child athletes (elementary school). Sampling using purposive sampling techniques, so the sample in this study was 20 adolescent athletes (junior high/high school). Based on the results of data analysis shows that: (1) There is a direct influence of leg muscle explosive power on 100-meter sprint speed, which is 31.5% (2) There is a direct influence of agility on 100-meter sprint speed of 92.1% (3) There is a direct influence of flexibility on 100-meter sprint speed of 52.1% (4) There is an indirect influence of leg muscle explosive power through flexure on 100-meter sprint speed of 17.7% (5) There is an indirect influence of agility through flex to 100-meter sprint speed by 45.3 % (6) Leg muscle explosive power, agility, and flexibility simultaneously affect the speed of 100-meter sprint in Padang Club Athletics (APC) athletes by 89.2%. It was concluded that the low speed of the 100-meter sprint of Padang Club (APC) athletic athletes was influenced by the explosive power of leg muscles, agility, and flexibility.

Abstract

The development of increasingly advanced technology certainly also affects developments in the world of sports. The emergence of sports technology or better known as Esports is one of the most pronounced influences of technological developments in the world of sports today. In Indonesia, Esports has been recognized as one of the sports by inaugurating PBESI (Indonesian Esports Executive Board) in 2020. Even though a new sport has been inaugurated, there are still many problems related to this Esports. The problems faced include: there are still many questions about why Esports is included in sports, people's views on Esports, understanding what Esports is and how it differs from games, and about the impact of Esports. This study aims to get a deeper picture and information about this Esports sport, especially about the paradigms, limits, opportunities and challenges of Esports in Indonesia. This type of research is a qualitative study with an exploratory descriptive approach. This study used purposive sampling techniques. The participants involved were 12 people consisting of 3 West Sumatra ESI administrators, 2 Esports athletes, 1 sports lecturer, 2 game players, and 4 related community members (business people, parents, teachers and lecturers, health workers). The results of this study show that Esports is a technological sport. The lack of understanding about Esports makes a difference in views on Esports. Esports and games have certain restrictions, where Esports is indeed a game but not all games are included in Esports.

Abstract

Lack of integration of life skills in training can result in athletes having high technical skills but lacking the ability to adapt and cooperate in everyday life. This study aims to analyze the impact of integration and non-integration of life skills in training on improving shooting skills in basketball. This experimental research was conducted involving 20 basketball players as samples. The collected data will be analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. This research uses an independent t-test and ANOVA. The study showed a significant increase in shooting accuracy and technique in the experimental group, which received integrated life skills, compared to the control group. These findings indicate that a holistic training approach that includes aspects of life skills can positively improve technical abilities in basket ball sports. Based on these results, this study recommends that trainers consider integrating life skills into training programs. This supports improving the athlete's technical skills and contributes to a more holistic development of the athlete, which includes aspects of valuable life skills. The implications of this research can help deepen understanding of how the integration of life skills can influence various aspects of sports performance.
