Abstract

This study aims to develop a problem-based learning model with the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) approach through e-learning in vocational high schools (SMK) to enhance learning outcomes and critical thinking skills of the students of light vehicle electrical maintenance, which is valid, practical, and effective. The design phase began with determining the fundamental philosophy, theoretical background, hypothetical model, and evaluation aspects, while exhaustive tests were conducted to validate the developed system during the development phase. Based on practical testing in four vocational high schools in Indonesia, the developed PBL-STEM e-learning system is considered valid and effective for enhancing the quality of vocational education. The critical thinking skills of experimental class students have increased, both in groups and individually, as indicated by the progressive percentage increase of 38.32%. The application of this model has proven to be effective in enhancing critical thinking, skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) bentuk program kemitraan SMK Kompetensi Keahlian Teknik Kendaraan Ringan dengan DU/DI di Kabupaten Purworejo; (2) mekanisme program kemitraan antara SMK Kompetensi Keahlian Teknik Kendaraan Ringan dengan DU/DI di Kabupaten Purworejo; (3) hambatan yang terjadi pada pelaksanaan program kemitraan antara SMK Kompetensi Keahlian Teknik Kendaraan Ringan dengan DU/DI di Kabupaten Purworejo dan cara mengatasi hambatan tersebut. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk program kemitraan, mekanisme program kemitraan, dan hambatan serta solusi pelaksanaan program kemitraan SMK Kompetensi Keahlian Teknik Kendaraan Ringan dengan DU/DI di Kabupaten Purworejo. Penelitian dilakukan di tiga belas SMK yang memiliki Kompetensi Keahlian Teknik Kendaraan Ringan di Kabupaten Purworejo. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa non tes menggunakan lembar angket bentuk kemitraan berbentuk checklist, angket tahapan kemitraan, dan wawancara dengan teknik semi terstruktur. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Data hasil angket dan wawancara dianalisis untuk ditarik kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) bentuk program kemitraan yang dilakukan SMK Kompetensi Keahlian Teknik Kendaraan Ringan dengan DU/DI di Kabupaten Purworejo diwujudkan dalam berbagai bentuk kemitraan yaitu prekerin, bantuan tenaga ahli, kunjungan industri, ujian kompetensi, dan rekrutmen; (2) program kemitraan dilaksanakan dalam 10 aspek, 7 aspek atau 70% mekanisme program pada aspek analisis kebutuhan, analisis lingkungan, perencanaan, presentasi, MoU, pelaporan, serta aspek monitoring dan evaluasi terlaksana dalam kategori baik. Sedangkan 3 aspek atau 30% yaitu aspek persetujuan, aspek perundingan, aspek pelaksanaan berada pada kategori sangat baik. Hasil yang dicapai yaitu siswa memperoleh keterampilan, pengetahuan baru, serta karakter yang sesuai dengan dunia kerja. Sekolah mendapatkan peluang untuk memasarkan siswa di DU/DI; (3) hambatan yang terjadi yaitu masalah sarana prasarana dan biaya ketika hendak bermitra, tempat DU/DI yang jauh dan kurangnya kedisiplinan siswa. Dengan demikian perlu komunikasi yang baik dengan DU/DI dan membuat time schedule khusus. Komite sekolah mengalokasikan dana dan koordinasi internal terkait sarana dan prasarana. Abstract

This study successfully investigated the engine performance and emission characteristics of a dual injection system that uses both gasoline and ethanol fuels. The study utilized a microcontroller-based control system (PGM-FI) to substitute ethanol fuel injection for gasoline injection. Ethanol fuel was injected at the inlet with three different pressures: 1.0 bar, 1.2 bar, and 1.4 bar, while gasoline injector pressure was fixed at 2 bar. Results showed that substituting ethanol injection with a pressure of 1 bar resulted in a slight decrease in torque and power, but it was the best compared to the other pressures tested. The study found that the use of ethanol injection resulted in improved fuel economy at an ethanol injector pressure of 1 bar with a reduction in SFC of 8.89%. Exhaust emissions were also reduced, with a maximum reduction in CO emissions of 42.54% occurring at a pressure of 1 bar. Similarly, the lowest HC content in exhaust gas was observed at a pressure of 1 bar, which was reduced by 44.48%. However, the results highlighted that ethanol injection pressure could significantly reduce fuel consumption for case A-04 and increase the air-fuel ratio.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to describe the effectiveness of the Industrial Class program evaluation within the Automotive Engineering Skills program at SMK Negeri 2 Yogyakarta, focusing on context, input, process, and product evaluation models. Employing the CIPP model (Context, Input, Process, Product), this research follows an evaluative descriptive approach, utilizing questionnaires, interviews, documentation, and observation methods. The study involved four Industrial Class program teachers and 108 students from the Automotive Engineering program at SMK Negeri 2 Yogyakarta. Instrument validation was conducted through expert judgment, while instrument reliability was assessed using Cronbach's alpha. Both qualitative and quantitative descriptive analyses were employed for data analysis. The findings indicate areas for improvement within the Automotive Engineering Industry Class program at SMK Negeri 2 Yogyakarta. In the context evaluation, the SMK-Industry partnership revealed areas in need of enhancement. In terms of input evaluation, student interest, self-confidence, and satisfaction percentages were 35.19%, 44.44%, and 45.37% respectively, while facilities and infrastructure were deemed to meet industry standards. Regarding process evaluation, the implementation of learning and the use of learning media were rated as fairly good, with a percentage of 35.19%. However, the utilization of learning resources and assessment methods were found to be very good. In the product evaluation, student learning outcomes reached a percentage of 90% in the very good category, and graduate absorption was at a high percentage of 78%.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan kemitraan antara DUDI dan SMK sangat penting untuk mempersiapkan lulusan yang berkualitas, siap kerja, dan berdaya saing. Penelitian ini mengevaluasi program kemitraan pada aspek praktik kerja lapangan (PKL), bursa kerja khusus (BKK), dan in-house training (IHT) untuk menganalisis: (1) pencapaian program PKL, BKK, dan IHT pada konsentrasi keahlian Agribisnis Pengolahan Hasil Perikanan (APHP) di D.I. Yogyakarta menggunakan model Context, Input, Process, dan Product (CIPP); serta (2) kendala yang dihadapi dalam kemitraan DUDI-SMK. Penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner dan wawancara yang divalidasi melalui expert judgment dan Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA). Hasil menunjukkan: (1) tingkat pencapaian PKL sebesar 90% (context), 82% (input), 83% (process), dan 91% (product), dengan total 86,50% (kategori sangat baik); (2) tingkat pencapaian BKK sebesar 92% (context), 76% (input), 74% (process), dan 79% (product), dengan total 80,25% (kategori baik); (3) tingkat pencapaian IHT sebesar 91% (context), 92% (input), 89% (process), dan 94% (product), dengan total 91,50% (kategori sangat baik). Kendala meliputi indikator keberhasilan yang belum jelas, kurangnya optimalisasi evaluasi bersama, serta fungsi BKK yang belum maksimal dalam menjembatani lulusan dengan dunia kerja.

Abstract

The unavailability of interactive media, namely e-module, has an impact on students so that they tend to be passive and less interested in learning in clinical dietetics subjects, resulting in student learning outcomes that are not by competency standards. This study aims to develop and prove the feasibility of e-modules in nutrition science and explore the importance of developing e-modules to improve learning achievement. This study is a Research and Development (R&D) using a 4-D model with a quantitative approach. The subjects of this study were students of class X majoring in culinary, which amounted to 124 respondents. The data collection technique used interviews and questionnaires that were used to validate and prove the results of the e-module feasibility. The results of material expert validation show that the e-module is very feasible to use with a percentage of 91.250%, media experts contribute to media eligibility 91.875%, while student assessments get 86.618% eligibility. So that the clinical dietetics e-module is feasible to be used as learning. Parametric statistics with comparative analysis of two samples using the T-test, Dunnet-C, and Tukey's test were conducted to determine differences in the variables of gender, age, and class. Comparative analysis proves that there is no significant difference between class X students in assessing the development of nutrition science e-modules. The existence of a clinical dietetics e-module can make it easier for students to learn and carry out learning independently so that student learning outcomes are according to competence.

Abstract

Kemajuan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi (IPTEK) menuntut lulusan Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) untuk memiliki keterampilan teknis (hard skill) dan keterampilan interpersonal (soft skill) yang mumpuni. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas model pembelajaran Problem-Based Learning (PBL) dan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) terhadap hasil belajar siswa dalam kompetensi perbaikan sistem kopling, dengan mempertimbangkan soft skill sebagai variabel moderator. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi-experimental research dengan desain faktorial 2x2, melibatkan 60 siswa kelas XI Teknik Kendaraan Ringan di SMK Negeri 1 Seyegan. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes hasil belajar dan angket soft skill, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji ANAVA dua jalur dan uji lanjut Tukey. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara model PBL dan CTL terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Namun, terdapat perbedaan signifikan dalam hasil belajar antara siswa dengan soft skill tinggi dan rendah, di mana siswa dengan soft skill tinggi memperoleh hasil lebih baik. Selain itu, terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran dan soft skill, di mana model PBL lebih efektif untuk siswa dengan soft skill tinggi, sedangkan model CTL lebih sesuai bagi siswa dengan soft skill rendah. Oleh karena itu, pengembangan soft skill dalam pendidikan vokasi perlu diintegrasikan dengan model pembelajaran yang tepat guna meningkatkan daya saing lulusan SMK di dunia kerja.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of Digital Literacy, Social Media, Entrepreneurship Education, and vocational skills on entrepreneurial interest among vocational high school students in the fashion design program in Sleman Regency. This study employs a quantitative approach with an ex-post facto design. The sampling technique used cluster sampling, followed by proportionate random sampling from each vocational school, resulting in a sample of 161 XII students from the Fashion Design Program. Data were collected using Google Form questionnaires that had been tested for validity and reliability, and data analysis was conducted using regression analysis. The results of this study are as follows: (1) Digital literacy has a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial interest; (2) Social media has a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial interest; (3) Entrepreneurship education has a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial interest; (4) Vocational skills do not significantly affect entrepreneurial interest; (5) Digital literacy, social media, entrepreneurship education, and vocational skills collectively have a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial interest. This research can provide insights for determining entrepreneurship education strategies to meet the demands and needs of the dynamic business and industrial world.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the STEM-based PJBL learning model on students' critical thinking skills and creativity. This study is a quasi-experimental study with quantitative methods. The study design uses a nonequivalent control group design. The population in this study were 108 students of class XII Culinary Arts at SMK N 1 Bawen in the 2024/2025 academic year. The sampling technique used was proportionate random sampling, obtaining 72 students. Data collection used tests, observations, and questionnaires. The data analysis technique used the MANOVA test. The results of the study show that: (1) there is an effect of the PJBL learning model with STEM on students' critical thinking skills, (2) there is an effect of the PJBL learning model with STEM on students' creativity, (3) there is a difference in critical thinking skills between students taught with PJBL learning with STEM and students taught with conventional PJBL learning, and (4) there is a difference in student creativity towards conventional learning models and PJBL-STEM.
