Abstract

This study aims to reveal: 1.) Readiness of independent learning of vocational students in the department of automotive body repair to face 4.0 learning systems; and 2.) Supporting and inhibiting factors of students in implementing a 4.0 learning system. This study uses a descriptive-analytical method with a case study approach. The subject consisted of students and teachers of vocational high school majoring in automotive body repair. Data collection techniques in this study were observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The research was conducted at SMK N 2 Depok Sleman, automotive body repair engineering department. 30 respondents filled out the questionnaire to assess the level of self-directed learning readiness of respondents according to SDLR. The readiness level of self-directed learning is divided into three categories: low, medium, and high. The results of this study are (1) Readiness of students majoring in automotive body repair techniques in the face of learning systems 4.0 is included in the medium category, and (2) The supporting and inhibiting factors found in dealing with learning systems 4.0 come from internal and external of the student learning environment.

Abstract

The unemployed from vocational high schools (SMK) is still high. Several factors, including the low job readiness of vocational students and the small availability of jobs, cause the high unemployment rate for vocational schools. This study aims to develop a learning model of Integrated Project Based Learning (PjBL-T) and test the effectiveness of the PjBL-T model in preparing vocational students' job readiness. The design of this study adopted the Richey and Klein model stages. This research was carried out in three stages: model development, internal validation, and external validation. This study used research subjects consisting of 10 vocational teachers, ten industrial practitioners, and 54 Automotive Engineering SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Tempel students. The research objects used were SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Tempel, Jogjakarta Automotive Center (OJC) Auto Service, Barokah Auto Service, Astra Daihatsu Armada, and Gadjah Mada Auto Service. The data collection techniques used were focus group discussions (FGD), questionnaires, and practice assessment sheets. Data were analyzed descriptively. The PjBL-T model is feasible and can be applied according to the learning objectives. The effectiveness of increasing student work readiness tested limited and expanded and improved very well with a score of 3.27.

Abstract

Abstrak Dalam penelitian ini ditujukan untuk mengetahui (1) pengaruh keaktifan siswa dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler kejuruan dan motivasi belajar terhadap prestasi belajar siswa, (2) pengaruh keaktifan siswa dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler kejuruan terhadap prestasi belajar siswa, dan (3) pengaruh motivasi belajar terhadap prestasi belajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis ex post facto. Populasi yaitu peserta didik kelas XI Kompetensi Keahlian Teknik Bisnis Sepeda Motor dan Teknik Kendaraan Ringan Otomotif, SMKN 1 Gombong tahun 2021/2022 dengan jumlah 216 peserta didik. Instrumen yaitu kuesioner dan nilai rapor. Analisis data yang digunakan regresi berganda. Penelitian ini menunjukkan hasil (1) Ada pengaruh yang signifikan keaktifan siswa dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler kejuruan dan motivasi belajar terhadap prestasi belajar siswa, dengan signifikansi 0.000 < 0.05, (2) Ada pengaruh yang signifikan keaktifan siswa dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler kejuruan terhadap prestasi belajar siswa, dengan nilai signifikansi 0.000 < 0.05, (3) Ada pengaruh yang signifikan antara motivasi belajar terhadap prestasi belajar siswa program keahlian Teknik Otomotif SMK Negeri 1 Gombong tahun ajaran 2021/2022, dengan nilai signifikansi 0.000 < 0.05. Kata Kunci: ekstrakurikuler, keaktifan siswa, motivasi belajar, prestasi belajar Abstract In this study, it is intended to find out (1) the effect on student activity in vocational extracurricular activities and learning motivation on learning achievement, (2) the effect on student activity in vocational extracurricular activities on student achievement, and (3) the effect of and learning motivation on learning achievement. This type of research is ex post facto. The population is Class XI students the Motorcycle Businnes Enginering Skills Competence and Automotive Light Vehicle Engineering Skills Study Program at SMKN 1 Gombong for the 2021/2022 academic year which opens 216 students. The instruments are questionnaires and report cards. The data analysis technique used multiple regression. The results showed that (1) There was a significant effect of student activity in vocational extracurricular activities on student achievement, with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05, (2) There is a significant effect of learning motivation on student achievement, with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05, (3) There is a significant effect of learning motivation on student achievement in the Automotive Engineering Expertise Program at SMKN 1 Gombong for the 2021/2022 academic year, with significance value of 0.000 <0.05. Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan efektivitas program Kelas Industri pada program keahlian Teknik Otomotif SMK Negeri 2 Yogyakarta ditinjau dari model evaluasi context, input, process, dan product. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian deskriptif evaluatif dengan model evaluasi CIPP (context, input, process, product) dengan angket, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan observasi. Subyek penelitian ini terdiri dari guru program Kelas Industri berjumlah empat orang dan siswa program Kelas Industri yang berjumlah 108 orang di SMK Negeri 2 Yogyakarta. Validasi instrumen dilakukan oleh ahli (expert judgement), sedangkan reliabilitas instrumen menggunakan alfa cronbach. Analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program Kelas Industri Teknik Otomotif di SMK Negeri 2 Yogyakarta dari evaluasi context kemitraan SMK-Industri perlu ditingkatkan; dari evaluasi input minat siswa persentase 35,19%, kepercayaan diri siswa persentase 44,44%, kepuasan diri siswa persentase 45,37%, sarana dan prasarana terpenuhi sesuai dengan standar industri; dari evaluasi process: pelaksanaan pembelajaran, pemanfaatan media pembelajaran masuk dalam kategori cukup baik dengan persentase 35,19%, penggunaan media dan sumber belajar serta penilaian pembelajaran sangat baik; dari evaluasi product: hasil belajar siswa dalam kategori sangat baik dengan persentase 90% dan keterserapan lulusan dalam kategori tinggi dengan persentase 78%. Abstract This study aims to describe the effectiveness of the Industrial Class program evaluation in the Automotive Engineering Skills program at SMK Negeri 2 Yogyakarta in terms of context, input, process, and product evaluation models. This research is evaluative descriptive research using the CIPP model evaluation research method (context, input, process, product) with questionnaires, interviews, documentation, and observation. The subjects of this study consisted of four Industrial Class program teachers and 108 Industrial Class program students at SMK Negeri 2 Yogyakarta. Instrument validation was carried out by experts (expert judgment), while the reliability of the instrument used Cronbach's alpha. Data analysis was performed with qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the Automotive Engineering Industry Class program at SMK Negeri 2 Yogyakarta from the evaluation of the SMK-Industry partnership context needed to be improved; from the input evaluation the percentage of student interest is 35.19%, student self-confidence is 44.44%, student self-satisfaction is 45.37%, facilities and infrastructure are met according to industry standards; from the evaluation process: the implementation of learning, the use of learning media is in the pretty good category with a percentage of 35.19%, the use of media and learning resources and the learning assessment is very good; from product evaluation: student learning outcomes are in the very good category with a percentage of 90% and graduate absorption is in the high category with a percentage of 78%.

Abstract

Abstract Thisresult aims to describe the implementation of industry work practice competency skills in Light Vehicle Engineering SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Lendah Kulon Progo. This study uses a quantitative method using a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques used in this study were questionnaires, interviews, observation, and documentation. The subjects of this study were 100 students of class XII Automotive Light Vehicle Engineering SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Lendah. 3 working program groups, and 6 supervising teachers. Instrument validation was carried out by experts (expert judgment) while the reliability of the instrument usedSPSS V.26. Data analysis was performed using quantitative descriptive data analysis. The results showed that apprenticeship readiness for light vehicle engineering expertise at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Lendah from the aspect of administrative and organizational readiness was 78.95%, financing readiness was 85.7%, and tutor teacher readiness was 82.22% so in general the apprentice readiness in good category; The imThe implementation of student apprenticeships is in a fairly low category, namely 56%; The implementation of the monitoring program yielded a result of 100% in the very high category; Key Words: Implementation, Internship, SMK Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi praktik kerja industri (Prakerin) kompetensi keahlian Teknik Kendaraan Ringan SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Lendah Kulon Progo. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu kuesioner, wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian ini 100 siswa kelas XII Teknik Kendaraan Ringan Otomotif SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Lendah, 3 orang kelompok program kerja, dan 6 guru pembimbing. Validasi instrumen dilakukan oleh ahli (expert judgement) reliabilitas instrumen SPSS V.26. Analisis data yang dilakukan menggunakan analisis data kuantitatif deskriptif . Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kesiapan Prakerin kompetensi keahlian Teknik Kendaraan Ringan SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Lendah dari aspek kesiapan administrasi dan organisasi sebesar 78,95%, kesiapan pembiayaan sebesar 80%, kesiapan pengelolaan program sebesar 85,7% dan kesiapan guru pembimbing sebesar 77,77% sehingga secara garis besar kesiapan Prakerin dalam kategori baik; Pelaksanaan Prakerin siswa dalam kategori cukup rendah yaitu sebesar 56%; Keterlaksanaan program monitoring mendapatkan hasil sebesar 100% dalam kategori sangat tinggi; Keterlaksanaan program evaluasi mendapatkan skor sebesar 62,5% dengan kategori sedang. Abstract

SMK N 3 Yogyakarta is one of the vocational schools appointed by Presidential Decree No. 9 of 2016 concerning Vocational Revitalization. SMK N 3 Yogyakarta is a reference vocational school that must implement a program, teaching factory but the Light Vehicle Engineering Skills Competence has not implemented learning on a base teaching factory. This study aims to determine the level of readiness of light vehicle engineering competence in SMK N 3 Yogyakarta if-based learning is carried out in a teaching factory. This research is a type of descriptive research. Collecting data using questionnaires, observation, and documentation. Respondents of this study were productive teachers of light vehicle engineering skills at SMK N 3 Yogyakarta. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistics. The conclusions from the research results are: (1) the level of teacher readiness if-based learning is carried out is teaching factory in the ready category, (2) the level of readiness for cooperation with industry if-based learning is carried out is teaching factory in the ready category, and (3) the level of infrastructure readiness if implemented-based learning is teaching factory in the very ready category.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan motivasi belajar dan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran pemeliharaan mesin kendaraan ringan kelas XI TKR 1 SMKN 3 Yogyakarta setelah dilakukan proses pembelajaran menggunakan metode pemberian tugas. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan menggunakan tahapan-tahapan seperti pada umumnya yang dimulai dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi yang dilaksanakan selama dua siklus dan masing-masing siklus terdiri dari dua kali pertemuan. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMKN 3 Yogyakarta dengan subjek penelitian siswa kelas XI TKR 1. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa lembar observasi, angket, dan tes evaluasi hasil belajar. Validasi instrumen menggunakan validitas isi. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis data deskriptif kuantitatif. Penelitian dikatakan berhasil apabila terdapat peningkatan nilai motivasi belajar dan hasil belajar dari siklus satu ke siklus berikutnya dengan rincian motivasi belajar 75% dari jumlah peserta didik mencapai nilai minimal 75 dan hasil belajar 75% dari jumlah peserta didik mampu mencapai nilai KBM yaitu sebesar 75. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi belajar dan hasil belajar pada mata pelajaran pemeliharaan mesin kendaraan ringan siswa kelas XI TKR 1 SMKN 3 Yogyakarta meningkat setelah menggunakan metode pembelajaran pemberian tugas. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan meningkatnya motivasi belajar dan hasil belajar. Motivasi belajar pada siklus I meningkat dari 66 menjadi 74 dengan persentase kelulusan 55,88% dan pada siklus II motivasi belajar meningkat dari 74 menjadi 78 dengan persentase kelulusan 82,35%. Hasil belajar pada siklus I meningkat dari 68 menjadi 75 dengan persentase kelulusan 58,82% dan siklus II meningkat dari 75 menjadi 79 dengan persentase kelulusan 79,41%. ABSTRACT This research aims to determine the increase in learning motivation and student learning outcomes in light vehicle engine maintenance for class XI TKR 1 SMKN 3 Yogyakarta after the learning process uses the assignment method.This research is a classroom action research using the usual stages starting from planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting which is carried out for two cycles and each cycle consists of two meetings. This research was conducted at SMKN 3 Yogyakarta with the research subjects of class XI TKR 1. The data collection techniques used were observation sheets, questionnaires, and learning outcomes evaluation tests. Instrument validation uses content validity. The data analysis used is descriptive quantitative data analysis. The research is said to be successful if there is an increase in the value of learning motivation and learning outcomes from cycle one to the next cycle with details of learning motivation 75% of the total number of students achieving a minimum score of 75 and learning outcomes of 75% of the number of students being able to achieve the KBM value of 75.The results showed that learning motivation and learning outcomes in light vehicle engine maintenance subjects for class XI TKR 1 SMKN 3 Yogyakarta increased after using the assignment learning method. This is evidenced by the increase in learning motivation and learning outcomes. Learning motivation in the first cycle increased from 66 to 74 with a passing percentage of 55.88% and in the second cycle learning motivation increased from 74 to 78 with a passing percentage of 82.35%. Learning outcomes in the first cycle increased from 68 to 75 with a passing percentage of 58.82% and the second cycle increased from 75 to 79 with a passing percentage of 79.41%.   Keywords: Assignment method, Learning Motivation, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

This study aims to develop a problem-based learning model with the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) approach through e-learning in vocational high schools (SMK) to enhance learning outcomes and critical thinking skills of the students of light vehicle electrical maintenance, which is valid, practical, and effective. The design phase began with determining the fundamental philosophy, theoretical background, hypothetical model, and evaluation aspects, while exhaustive tests were conducted to validate the developed system during the development phase. Based on practical testing in four vocational high schools in Indonesia, the developed PBL-STEM e-learning system is considered valid and effective for enhancing the quality of vocational education. The critical thinking skills of experimental class students have increased, both in groups and individually, as indicated by the progressive percentage increase of 38.32%. The application of this model has proven to be effective in enhancing critical thinking, skills.

Abstract

This study successfully investigated the engine performance and emission characteristics of a dual injection system that uses both gasoline and ethanol fuels. The study utilized a microcontroller-based control system (PGM-FI) to substitute ethanol fuel injection for gasoline injection. Ethanol fuel was injected at the inlet with three different pressures: 1.0 bar, 1.2 bar, and 1.4 bar, while gasoline injector pressure was fixed at 2 bar. Results showed that substituting ethanol injection with a pressure of 1 bar resulted in a slight decrease in torque and power, but it was the best compared to the other pressures tested. The study found that the use of ethanol injection resulted in improved fuel economy at an ethanol injector pressure of 1 bar with a reduction in SFC of 8.89%. Exhaust emissions were also reduced, with a maximum reduction in CO emissions of 42.54% occurring at a pressure of 1 bar. Similarly, the lowest HC content in exhaust gas was observed at a pressure of 1 bar, which was reduced by 44.48%. However, the results highlighted that ethanol injection pressure could significantly reduce fuel consumption for case A-04 and increase the air-fuel ratio.
