Abstract

Lack of public understanding about the proper handling of plastic waste can damage the environment. Based on the results of a survey conducted on students at the Darul Muttaqin Islamic Boarding School, Sragen, it can be seen that the waste management in the boarding school has not been carried out properly. In general, waste is directly disposed of in a landfill, without prior sorting between organic and inorganic waste. In this case, the residents of the cottage have not tried to process waste, especially plastic waste into useful products. For this reason, the service team for the Statistics Study Program FMIPA UNS held a socialization and training on the use of plastic waste into ornamental flower products. The purpose of this activity is to equip students with skills, as well as to foster an entrepreneurial spirit by marketing products from plastic waste to the general public. In the end, the success of product marketing will provide its own advantages as an alternative source of income for the students. In the future, the activities carried out consistently and sustainably will not only provide good benefits for the students but also the preservation of the surrounding environment.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the mathematical problem-solving ability of Pisa-like level 1 and level 2 students with a visual learning style based on the Krulik-Rudnick step. This research is a qualitative research conducted at Baki 2 Junior High School in the Odd Semester of the Academic Year 2021/2022. The research subjects were three grade VIII students with visual learning styles selected using purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, written test and interviews. Questionnaires are used to determine students’ learning styles, meanwhile the written test and interviews were used to determine students' problem-solving abilities. Method triangulation is used to measure the validity of the data between the written test and interviews. The data obtained is then analyzed with the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that at level 1, students can fulfill the indicators at all stages of the Krulik-Rudnick step. While at level 2, students can only fulfill the indicators at the Read and Think and Explore and Plan stages.

Abstract

Background: Indonesia has a large land and sea area that has the potential for salt production. Efforts to increase salt production are still not optimal because there are still several areas that produce salt products in small quantities even though they have a large land area and a large number of farmers, so for areas like this, it is necessary to carry out guidance so that they can increase the amount of salt production. So far, no system has been used to group salt-producing regions, so it is impossible to know which areas still have the potential to increase their production.Objective: This research aims to create an application system to classify salt-producing regions.Methods: The clustering method used is K-Means, where this method can group datasets into several predetermined clusters.Result: The results of application testing carried out using 10 salt-producing region datasets obtained 4 regions with small production volume clusters, 3 regions with sufficient production volume clusters, 3 regions with large production volume clusters.Conclusion: The application of grouping salt-producing areas using the K-Means method can help the process of grouping salt-producing regions easier, faster, and more objectively.

Abstract

In 2024, the government sets a poverty target in Indonesia of 6-7%. Until September 2022, poverty still shows a figure of 9.57%. To achieve the target, it is necessary to determine priority areas so that government policies can be right on target. This study aims to group cities/regencies in Indonesia based on poverty indicators as a solution to obtain priority areas using the clustering method. This method is used to collect data into several groups based on the same criteria. Hierarchical clustering consists of several methods, including agglomerative nesting such as single linkage, complete linkage, average linkage, and Ward linkage, and divisive analysis. The results showed that the agglomerative nesting average linkage method is the better method because it has a greater cophenetic value and silhouette coefficient value, which is 0.90 and 0.71. The clustering results consist of two clusters, cluster 1 contains 493 areas with low poverty and cluster 2 contains 21 areas with high poverty.

Abstract

Retinopathy is a common eye disease in Indonesia, ranking fourth after cataracts, glaucoma, and refractive errors. It can be overcome by early diagnosis with optical coherence tomography (OCT), but this imaging technique takes much time. In this research, retinal imaging was carried out using an expert system. The expert system in this study was formed using the convolutional neural network (CNN or ConvNet) method. CNN is an algorithm of deep learning that uses convolution operations to process two-dimensional data, such as images and sounds. This research consisted of 4 stages: data collection, preprocessing, model design, and model testing. A CNN model was formed with three arrangements, consisting of two convolutional layers and one pooling layer. The ReLU activation function, zero padding, and batch normalization were used in all three formats. Then, the flattening process was carried out, and the Softmax activation function was used at the end of the architecture. The model was built using eight epochs, and optimization of Adaptive Momentum resulted in a 98.96% test data accuracy value. The result was considered good so that CNN could be used as an alternative in retinopathy diagnosis. Further research is suggested to use other optimizations or other model architectures.

Abstract

A distraction while driving a vehicle may result in fatal consequences, namely accidents that may leave road users seriously injured or even dead. In order to mitigate this risk, it is imperative to establish a distracted driver detection system that is both precise and real-time. This research focuses on the application of artificial intelligence, with a particular emphasis on deep learning, which is achieved through the utilization of the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) model. In order to enhance the detection of inattentive drivers and produce a more precise model, a scaleinvariant feature transform (SIFT)-CNN combination is proposed. The activities of the driver while operating a vehicle are categorized into ten categories in this study. One of these categories is considered a normal condition, while the remaining nine are classified as inattentive behaviors. This study implemented Adam optimization with 64 batches, a learning rate of 0.001, and epochs of 20, 25, 50, and 100. The proposed CNNSIFT model is capable of achieving superior performance in comparison to the solitary CNN model, as evidenced by the experimental results. The CNN-SIFT model has achieved 99% accuracy and a 0.05 loss when the hyperparameter configuration is optimized for 50 epochs. The analysis indicates that the accuracy of the features obtained from CNN-SIFT can be improved by approximately 1% compared with CNN to classify the type of driver distraction behavior. The model's reliability was further enhanced by its evaluation on test data, which resulted in high accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score values. The model's ability to accurately identify driver behavior with a high degree of reliability is demonstrated by these results, which are a positive contribution to the improvement of road safety.

Abstract

Indeks Harga Saham Gabungan (IHSG) adalah indeks yang mengukur kinerja harga semua saham yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) Peramalan IHSG menjadi referensi bagi investor untuk memperoleh keuntungan di pasar modal. Penelitian ini membahas penerapan metode High Order Intuitionistic Fuzzy Time Series (HOIFTS) dalam peramalan IHSG di BEI. Metode HOIFTS melibatkan tiga indikator, yaitu derajat keanggotaan, derajat non- keanggotaan, dan fungsi skor (indeks intutionistic) sehingga model yang dihasilkan mampu menangani ketidakpastian dalam data. Tahapan penting dalam pemodelan HOIFTS adalah pada fuzzifikasi intuitionistic, penentuan relasi logika fuzzy intutionistic, dan proses defuzifikasi order tinggi intuitionistic. Penelitian ini menetapkan metode Chen, baik order satu maupun order tinggi sebagai metode pembanding untuk melihat seberapa jauh keberhasilan metode HOIFTS dalam meramalkan data bulanan IHSG. Hasil perbandingan nilai RMSE (root mean square error) dan MAPE (mean absolute percentage error) yang dihasilkan oleh ketiga model menunjukkan bahwa metode HOIFTS memiliki nilai kesalahan yang paling kecil. Dengan demikian, metode HOIFTS lebih direkomendasikan dalam peramalan IHSG dibandingkan dua metode lain yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini.

Abstract

Stroke non-hemoragik merupakan kejadian tersumbatnya pembuluh darah, yang mengakibatkan aliran darah ke otak terhenti. Saat ini stroke non-hemoragik tidak hanya menyerang usia lanjut, namun juga menyerang usia produktif. Tingginya angka kejadian stroke non-hemoragik pada usia produktif merupakan akibat dari ketidakpedulian terhadap faktor risiko yang menyebabkan munculnya kejadian stroke non-hemoragik. Faktor risiko yang berpengaruh terhadap kejadian stroke non-hemoragik, diantaranya jenis kelamin, indeks massa tubuh, High Density Lipoprotein (HDL), Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL), trigliserida, kolesterol total, tekanan darah, dan kadar gula darah. Dua tipe stroke non-hemoragik yang paling dominan adalah stroke trombotik dan stroke embolik. Regresi logistik biner digunakan untuk menganalisis tipe stroke non-hemoragik yang mempunyai skala dikotomus terhadap faktor risiko yang berpengaruh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui model regresi logistik biner dan besarnya pengaruh faktor risiko yang diduga mempengaruhi kejadian stroke non-hemoragik menggunakan regresi logistik biner. Jumlah sampel penelitian sebanyak 41 pasien. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kejadian stroke embolik dibandingkan stroke trombotik akan menurun sebesar 1,5404 jika terdapat perubahan dari kadar HDL (<= 40 mg/dl) ke kadar HDL (> 40 mg/dl) dan pasien yang mempunyai kadar HDL ( <= 40 mg/dl) untuk didiagnosa stroke embolik 4,6667 kali lipat dibanding seseorang yang mempunyai kadar HDL ( > 40 mg/dl ).

Abstract

Berdasarkan Data Pamer Hasil Ujian Nasional Tahun 2015/2016 pada materi Bangun Ruang Sisi Lengkung (BSRL) dengan indikator sebuah kerucut diameternya diperbesar x kali dan tingginya y kali, peserta didik dapat menghitung volume kerucut yang baru jika volume kerucut awal diketahui (x dan y bilangan asli kurang dari 5) dari 124 sekolah SMP/MTs yang ada di kabupaten Klaten dengan jumlah siswa 17778 daya serapnya adalah 26,50 %. Daya serap yang rendah menunjukan siswa masih kesulitan dalam mempelajari materi tersebut karena sebagian besar siswa hanya menghafal rumus tanpa memahami konsepnya sehingga mereka akan mengalami kesulitan bila terdapat pengembangan soal yang membutuhkan penalaran dan logika. Kesulitan belajar siswa dipengaruhi lima faktor, yaitu: (1) faktor fisiologis, (2) faktor sosial, (3) faktor emosional, (4) faktor intelektual, (5) faktor pedagogis. Faktor pedagogis kurang tepatnya guru mengelola pembelajaran dan menerapkan metodologi akan berpengaruh pada kemudahan atau kesulitan siswa dalam belajar. Kecenderungan guru sering menggunakan model langsung dalam pembelajaran dan belum melakukan penilaian untuk pembelajaran atau Assesmen for Learning (AfL), untuk itu diperlukan pemilihan model dan metode pembelajaran yang disesuaikan dengan materi dan karakteristik siswa. Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif STAD dengan metode Eksperimen Berbasis AfL merupakan model yang dapat membangun kerjasama dan mampu membangkitkan kreativitas pembelajaran karena dalam pelaksanaannya siswa bekerja berkelompok dan melakukan percobaan untuk memperoleh pengetahuan dan untuk menghindari kesalahan dalam mengambil kesimpulan dilakukan penilaian dalam proses pembelajaran yang disebut Assesmen for Learning (AfL). Makalah ini akan menganalisis bagaimana implementasi model STAD dengan metode eksperimen berbasisis AfL karena penelitian ini dilaksanakan mulai bulan Januari 2018 s/d bulan April 2018.

Abstract

Paper ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran sektor ekonomi terhadap peningkatan pendapatan rumah tangga pedesaan di provinsi Jawa Tengah. Paper ini menggunakan data Sistem Neraca Sosial Ekonomi Provinsi (SNSE) Provinsi Jawa Tengah Tahun 2004. Sektor ekonomi dalam paper ini terbagi menjadi 6 sektor sesuai deskripsi yang terdapat dalam data SNSE. Analisa dalam paper ini menggunakan pengganda neraca atau account multiplier. Temuan paper ini, (1) sektor keuangan, real estate, dan jasa berkonstribusi paling besar dalam meningkatkan pendapatan rumah tangga di pedesaan; (2) sektor pertambangan, industri pengolahan kecuali makanan, listrik, gas, dan air minum berkonstribusi paling kecil dalam meningkatkan pendapatan rumah tangga di pedesaan; dan (3) hanya sektor pertanian tanaman lain, kehutanan, dan perburuan yang konstribusinya terhadap peningkatan rumah tangga pedesaan berpendapatan rendah lebih kecil dibandingkan rumah tangga pedesaan berpendapatan tinggi. Rekomendasi paper ini adalah pemerintah dapat terus mendorong perkembangan sektor keuangan, real estate, dan jasa agar dapat lebih berperan dalam meningkatkan pendapatan rumah tangga pedesaan khususnya bagi rumah tangga dengan pendapatan rendah.
