Abstract

Pendahuluan, gambaran masyarakat Indonesia di masa depan yang ingin dicapai melalui pembangunan kesehatan adalah masyarakat, bangsa dan negara yang ditandai oleh penduduk yang hidup dalam lingkungan dan dengan perilaku hidup sehat, memiliki kemampuan untuk menjangkau pelayanan kesehatan yang bermutu secara adil dan merata, serta memiliki derajat kesehatan yang setinggi-tingginya diseluruh wilayah Republik Indonesia.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh informasi atau gambaran yang nyata tentang pelaksanaan studi kasus pasien dengan Diabetes Mellitus.Metode penelitian ini yang digunakan dengan pendekatan Studi Kasus desain deskriptif dimana akan menjelaskan tentang kasus yang dialami oleh pasien dengan Diabetes Militus. Subyek dari studi kasus ini adalah pasien Tn.”B” dengan Diabtes Militus yang dirawat di instalasi uni gawatdarurat rumah sakit Labuang Baji Makassar.Hasil penelitian ini adalah Pada pengkajian data yang di temukan pada teori tapi tidak ditemukan dikasus yaitu: poliuria (banyak kencing), Diagnosa yang ditemukan dalam kasus tapi tidak ditemukan diteori adalah kelemahan berhubungan dengan energi metabolik. Sedangkan diagnosa keperawatan yang ditemukan diteori tapi tidak ditemukan dikasus yaitu: kelelahan, ketidakberdayaan, dalam rencana asuhan keperawatan yang dikemukakan dalam kasus sesuai dengan kebutuhan klien, sedangkan perencanaan asuhan keperawatan dalam teori tetap memperhatikan kondisi dan respon klien,Implementasi asuhan keperawatan mengacu pada masalah keperawatan yang muncul dengan berpedoman pada teori dan tetap memperhatikan keadaan klien, respon klien serta fasilitas yang ada dan kebijakan dari rumah sakit,Pada evaluasi keperawatan, diagnosa keperawatan yang muncul ada tiga. Dari ketiga diagnosa keperawatan tersebut ada satu diagnosa keperawatan yang belum teratasi. Kesimpulan Pasien dengan Diabetes Mellitus agar selama dalam masa perawatan, selalu melakukan anjuran dari petugas kesehatan, begitupun setelah keluar dari rumah sakit. Agar meningkatkan mutu pelayanan keperawatan perlu ditunjang dengan pengadaan fasilitas-fasilitas yang memadai seperti : alat-alat instrumen, tempat cuci tangan dan handuk sendiri, celemek dan sarung tangan yang dapat dipakai perawat sebagai pelindung bila merawat penderita diabetes millitus

Abstract

Academic achievement is the last learning achievement achieved by students in a certain period of time in which student academic achievement is usually expressed in the form of numbers or symbols. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between motivation to be a nurse and student achievementat the Sandi Karsa Nursing Academy. Research method descriptive-analytic using a cross-sectional approach, analyzing the relationship between motivation to be a nurse and academic achievement of the Nursing Academy Sandi Karsa Makassar students. The results of the study with Chi-Square with a significance level (α) = 0, 05. p-value = 0.046 p <α was obtained. This means that there is a relationship between motivation to become a nurse and student achievement at the Sandi Karsa Nursing Academy. Conclusion there is a very close relationship between motivation and learning achievement, it is expected that students to maintain motivation to be nurses who are already high as a driver to improve learning achievement and educational institutions in order to motivate and introduce the role of nurses in health and work prospects that are quite promising for the future.

Abstract

Background; improving the quality of human resources is a must for the world, especially in the era of globalization which demands the readiness of every nation to compete freely. Method; Analytical descriptive with a cross sectional study design where the researcher made observations or instantaneous variable measurements, meaning that the subject was observed only once and explored simultaneously using a questionnaire measuring instrument. Through population determination, sampling and sampling, data collection, data processing and data analysis. Result; The analysis shows that 28 respondents (84.8%) have good motivation, 1 respondent (3.0%) is moderate, and there is no lack of achievement. Meanwhile, 4 respondents (12.1%) had less motivation to learn. Conclusion; motivation has an important function in learning, because motivation will determine the intensity of the student's learning efforts

Abstract

Abstract The study focused on the use of substitution drill technique to improve the students’ mastery of tenses - simple present and past tense - which were most of students still got into trouble in learning them, particularly when to put of verb-s/es, verb 1, verb 2 and also the auxiliary verb such as do, does and did. Therefore, this study is an endeavor to examine efficacy of applying the substitution drill to enhance the junior high-school students’ mastery of tenses. This study applied pre-experimental design employing one group pretest and posttest. The participants consisted of 27 the third-grade students’ SMP Ammana Gappa Makassar, South Sulawesi. The researcher used t-test analysis to find out whether or not the use of substitution drill can improve the students’ mastery of tenses. The result of the study indicated that there were differences between students’ achievement of tenses mastery in pretest and posttest. It was proved by the value of t-test was greater than the value of t-table (22.24>2.056) with the level of significance (P) = 0, 05 and degree of freedom (N-1) = 26. The mean score of the posttest (71.62) was higher than the mean score of pretest (52.44). It may conclude that the implementation of the substitution drill as a teaching technique of tenses in SMP Amanna Gappa could improve the student’s mastery of the tenses.

Abstract

Di era globalisasi ini Bahasa Inggris memiliki peranan yang sangat penting mulai anak-anak sampai dewasa/orang tua. TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) merupakan test yang digunakan untuk mengetahui tingkat kemampuan seseorang dalam berbahasa Inggris. Test ini ditujukan bagi orang yang tidak menggunakan bahasa Inggris sebagai bahasa ibu. Umumnya, test ini digunakan sebagai salah satu prasyarat bagi seseorang yang ingin melanjutkan studi atau bekerja di suatu negara yang menggunakan Bahasa Inggris dalam komunikas sehari-hari. Di Indonesia, TOEFL bahkan digunakan juga untuk: Persyaratan bagi penerimaan karyawan baru di instansi pemerintah, perusahaan pemerintah dan swasta. Syarat penerimaan mahasiswa baru untuk jenjang S2 dan S3 dan Syarat pengajuan beasiswa, baik dari pemerintah maupun swasta. Tujuan PKM ini adalah Pelatihan TOEFL Sebagai Pengembangan Soft Skill mahasiswa APOTEKER. Pengenalan dan cara menjawab tes TOEFL sangat diperlukan oleh mahasiswa tingkat akhir di sebuah universitas agar mereka dapat melanjutkan pendidikan ke jenjang yang lebih tinggi dan bisa mendepatkan pekerjaan yang layak. Hasil kegiatan PKM berupa bahwa bahwa mahasiswa APOTEKER menyelesaikan tes TOEFL dengan baik, artinya, mereka memiliki soft skill yang baik pula. Soft skill merupakan keterampilan untuk mengindetifikasi, menganalisa dan memecahkan masalah dengan kreatif dan berfikir logis sehingga mereka dapat mengambil keputusan dengan baik. Sebagai kesimpulan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) yang dilaksanakan memberikan dampak yang positif bagi mahasiswa tingkat akhir APOTEKER

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the students’ perception on teaching narrative writing skills through contextual teaching and learning (CTL) approach. This study employed a quasi- experimental design with fifty-two eleventh-grade students as participants. The participants were divided into two groups; An experimental group received the CTL approach, and a control group received the conventional way. This study utilized a pre-posttest and perceptional questionnaire. Nonparametric tests (i.e., Mann-Whitney U test and Wilcoxon test) were run to analyze the data in this study. Implementation of the CTL approach through its components positively contributes to teaching narrative writing skills. Meanwhile, the perceptional questionnaires showed that the students' experiment group perceived the implementation of the CTL Approach positively. This study results render teachers’ insight into a practical approach to teaching writing to be able to teach narrative writing. It can be concluded that the students’ perception on teaching narrative writing skills through contextual teaching and learning (CTL) approach have highly positive perception. As recommendation can work at all levels of students’ capability. The implementation of Contextual Teaching and Learning approach can be successful if it is implemented with the appropriate material based on students’ level.

Abstract

This study aimed to strengthen character education based on online learning for university students pasca covid-19. This study applied the qualitative research. This study was carried out at Universitas Bosowa students and lecturers. Results of study showed that character education is implemented pasca Covid-19 epidemic utilizing a distance learning approach (online), which was internet-based. The incorporation of character education based on online learning has an impact on attributes like religiosity, honesty, tolerance, discipline, hard work, creativity, independence, democracy, curiosity, national spirit, peace-loving, social obligation, and responsibility. Character education based on online learning can have an impact on how children develop their moral beliefs, integrity, critical thinking, independence, participation in other activities, and responsibility. It can be concluded that a distant learning method (online) was used to implement character education under the circumstances of the Covid-19 pandemic. Although there are some technical issues with using this system, and overall it can be used successfully.

Abstract

Melihat pengenalan Quizizz sebagai sebuah kebutuhan bagi guru maka guru wajib untuk di bekali pengetahuan tentang Quizizz agar mutu lulusan semakin meningkat sekaligus memperkuat literasi digital siswa. Quizizz bisa dikatakan baru bagi guru, pelatihan yang mereka dapatkan juga masih minim sehingga tim pengabdian berinisiatif untuk mengadakan pelatihan Quizizz untuk meningkatkan kecakapan guru dalam menjalankan aplikasi Quizizz. Metode yang digunakan yaitu pemaparan materi dan praktik Quizizz. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan selama pelatihan Quizizz, guru merasa terbantu dengan pelatihan ini, respon positif sesudah pelatihan juga tampak dari hasil Focus Group Discussion, mereka antusias setelah dibekali dengan pelatihan yang bermanfaat dalam pembelajaran dan berharap pelatihan Quizizz tetap diadakan di lain waktu.

Abstract

Writing, as a fundamental skill in language acquisition, is intrinsically linked with grammar. For English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learners, especially those from linguistically diverse backgrounds like Indonesia, mastering grammar is both crucial and challenging. While the significance of grammar in writing is well-documented, there is a noticeable gap in research focusing on the specific needs and challenges of Indonesian EFL students. This study aimed to investigate the impact of explicit grammar instruction on the academic writing skills of Indonesian EFL students. It sought to identify specific grammatical challenges faced by these students, assess the effectiveness of targeted grammar instruction, and understand the strategies employed by learners to navigate these challenges. A qualitative research approach was employed, with purposive sampling selecting seven active grammar class attendees from the 6th semester of ABA UMI. Data collection instruments included observations, open interviews, writing tests, and documentation review. An interactive model of analysis was used for data interpretation. Preliminary results indicate that while all participants had foundational grammar knowledge, challenges persisted, especially with certain verb tenses. Explicit grammar instruction showed positive impacts on their writing skills, with real-world tasks enhancing the applicability of learned grammar. Participants also showcased diverse strategies to overcome grammatical challenges, underscoring the need for flexible instructional approaches. Explicit grammar instruction plays a pivotal role in enhancing the academic writing skills of Indonesian EFL students. Recognizing specific challenges and aligning instruction with real-world tasks can further optimize learning outcomes. This study offers valuable insights for educators, curriculum designers, and EFL learners, emphasizing the need for targeted, context-specific grammar instruction.

Abstract

Students can prepare themselves to enter the global workforce by learning English for Specific Purpose (ESP) as communicative approach, which is a crucial part of the subject. One way to make learning ESP enjoyable for students so they will be driven to do and will be able to grasp the topic quickly is by using social media. This study aimed to analyze technology on English for specific purposes (ESP) students in communicative language teaching approach. This study applied qualitative method. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The triangulation technique as a data validity technique is carried out by comparing interview data with data obtained from observations and data from documentation. From the research conducted, it was found that the use of social media as a medium for learning ESP had a positive effect, namely, as a means of communication that is in high demand, as a tool for triggering student interaction and motivation, and as a collaborative tool. Implications for teaching ESP with the help of technology and suggestions for further research were also provided
