Abstract

Student learning in the current era is very different from previous years, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, learning is shifted at home. Students must get used to not relying on the teacher so that they can try to make decisions and ways to solve problems individually. This change in learning makes students look for additional material to better understand learning even though learning is currently using distance learning. The development of new innovations in learning is currently very necessary. Creating learning resources can be done by utilizing the potential of the natural surroundings as well as introducing students to love the surrounding nature. One of the natural surroundings that has the potential as a source of learning in biology learning is the Batu Rambat waterfall in which there are Bryophyta (mosses) related to biological material. The purpose of this study was to develop the Bryophyta module in the Batu Rambat waterfall area as a learning resource for class X high school students based on the feasibility of the module with a small group trial limit. This study uses the Research and Development method with a 4D model carried out with the define stage, the design stage, the develop stage, and the disseminate stage. The results of the module feasibility test carried out by material expert validation obtained results of 91% with the "very good" category. While the results of media expert validation obtained results of 95% with the "very good" category. Based on the validation of material experts and media experts that the developed module is feasible to be tested on teachers and students in small groups. The teacher's response assessment obtained a result of 87% in the "very good" category and the response assessment of 10 students obtained a score of 88.8% in the "very good" category. With the assessment by the teacher and students in small groups, it is known that the module is suitable for use in the very good category. The learning resource for the Bryophyta module that has been developed is appropriate to be used as a learning resource in biology learning and as a reference so that it gains broad insight.

Abstract

This study aims to map the impact of Augmented reality in biology learning and to identify factors influencing variations in research findings. The study employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. Research data were collected from Google Scholar and Scopus databases with a publication range from 2020 to 2025. The data collection process involved article identification, duplicate removal, title and abstract screening, and full-text review using the Covidence software. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and thematic synthesis of studies that met the inclusion criteria. The results show that among the 18 analyzed studies, 15 studies reported positive effects of Augmented reality on students’ conceptual understanding, while 3 studies showed limited effects. The findings also indicate that the effectiveness of Augmented reality is influenced by several factors, including three-dimensional visualization, students’ motivation and engagement, teachers’ roles, ease of technology use, and technological infrastructure support. Therefore, Augmented reality has strong potential as an innovative learning medium that can enhance conceptual understanding in biology learning.

Abstract

Mount Ciremai is the highest mountain in West Java Province which is the main destination for climbing and natural tourism. One of the official climbing trails of Mount Ciremai is in Linggasana Village which has a basecamp as a center for climbing services and information. However, the delivery of climbing information at the Linggasana Village basecamp is still carried out conventionally, so that information is difficult for prospective climbers to access widely and quickly. This research aims to design and implement a Mount Ciremai Basecamp website in Linggasana Village as an integrated and easily accessible climbing information medium. The research method used is the Waterfall method which includes the stages of needs analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. The website is developed using web-based technology with an integrated database. The results of the study show that the website built is able to present climbing information effectively and help climbers in obtaining accurate information before climbing. The study also reveals that the website facilitates faster information updates, broader information coverage, and better documentation. The implications of this research indicate that the use of web-based information systems can enhance service quality, transparency, and climber preparedness, while also supporting safer and more sustainable climbing management. In conclusion, the implementation of the website provides an effective solution to overcome the limitations of conventional information delivery and contributes both practically and theoretically to the development of information systems in natural tourism management.

Abstract

The development of Pelaruga ecotourism in Rumah Galuh Village, Langkat Regency, has great potential to improve the welfare of the community. This study examines the impact of Pelaruga Ecotourism on the Economic Empowerment of the Community in Rumah Galuh Village, Langkat Regency, with independent variables including Infrastructure, Accommodation, Visitors, Local Tourism Businesses, and Promotion, and dependent variables such as Community Participation and Community Empowerment. Data was obtained through questionnaires distributed to the community and local tourism businesses using data analysis techniques in the form of Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS), also known as SEM-PLS, through Smart PLS 4 management. A sample of 133 respondents was taken from the population living in Rumah Galuh Village and around the Pelaruga Ecotourism Area. The analysis of this study shows that the outer model value of the validity and reliability test has been measured as valid in the relationship between latent variables and manifest indicators. Then, the inner model value in the hypothesis testing states the relationship between variables that are relative to the variable assessor that has an effect on the related variables.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of education, minimum wage, and the Human Development Index (HDI) on poverty levels across 33 regencies/cities in North Sumatra Province for the 2015-2024 period. Employing a quantitative approach with panel data regression analysis, this research establishes the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) as the optimal estimation model through a series of rigorous tests. The results indicate that, simultaneously, education, minimum wage, and HDI have a significant impact on poverty, with an explanatory power of 87.15%. Partially, all three variables exert a significant negative influence, indicating that enhancing human capital quality and wage standards effectively reduces poverty rates. The policy implications of these findings emphasize the importance of an integrated poverty reduction strategy through improved educational access, wage policies that ensure purchasing power, and the strengthening of health and living standard dimensions. Local governments should prioritize budget allocation to the sectors constituting the HDI to accelerate equitable poverty reduction throughout North Sumatra

Abstract

The international aviation sector plays a strategic role in supporting global mobility and Indonesia's economic recovery, particularly in the post-COVID-19 pandemic period. This study aims to analyze the influence of macroeconomic variables on international aviation demand in Indonesia from 2010 to 2024. The variables examined include economic growth, exchange rates, airfares, visa fees, and world oil prices, with the number of international passengers serving as the primary indicator of aviation demand. The research findings indicate a long-term relationship between macroeconomic variables and international aviation demand. Exchange rates and the number of international passengers have a positive and significant impact on demand, while economic growth and visa fees show a significant negative influence. In the short term, the dynamics of international aviation demand are influenced by passenger movement patterns from the previous period, with a rapid and stable adjustment process toward equilibrium.
