Abstract

This study aims to analyze leadership in the digital era, work flexibility, and work-life balance which are closely related to employee work stress levels. The research approach uses a quantitative approach with the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method using the AMOS tool. Data were collected from 150 respondents at election organizing institutions through questionnaires. The results of the study indicate that digital leadership has a significant effect on work flexibility and work-life balance, but does not affect work stress reduction. In addition, work flexibility has a relationship with work-life balance but does not significantly affect work stress reduction. However, work-life balance can affect employee stress reduction. Implications for policy makers, with the importance of digital leadership in encouraging a work flexibility system that can balance work life, so that it is necessary to create a healthier and more productive workplace. Organizations need to consider work system strategies that focus on work-life balance to avoid increased stress; therefore, flexible work is needed that is integrated with the leader's digitalization capabilities.

Abstract

Research aims: This study aims to promote employee sustainable performance in the local government sector to support the achievement of organizational sustainability goals by examining the role of three important variables, namely civil servant professionalism, merit system, and value co-creation.Design/Methodology/Approach: The research was conducted on civil servants in the Bukittinggi City Local Government with a total of 230 respondents. The research used a quantitative approach with a survey method and analyzed the data using structural equation modeling PLS.Research findings: The results show that civil servant professionalism and value co-creation each had a significant positive effect on employee sustainable performance. Meanwhile, merit system had no effect on employee sustainable performance. Moreover, civil servant professionalism and merit systems each had a significant positive effect on value co-creation. Civil servant professionalism and merit system each had a significant positive effect on employee sustainable performance through value co-creation. This study demonstrates that value co-creation serves as a mediator, enhancing the impact of civil servant professionalism and merit system on employee sustainable performance.Theoretical Contribution/Originality: These traits show how HRM practices play a strategic role in attaining long-term corporate success.Practitioners/Policy Implications: The findings provide strategic recommendations for local government agencies to enhance civil servant professionalism and the merit system, initiating discourse on the efficacy of the merit system in local government, while also optimizing value co-creation as a collaborative method to improve employee sustainable performance. Consequently, this will ultimately facilitate the attainment of sustainable organizational success.Research Limitations/Implications: This research has limitations, specifically that it was conducted just on a single local government entity.

Abstract

 This study investigates the influence of personality, competence, and performance on organizational commitment in Islamic banks, with Islamic Work Ethics (IWE) serving as a mediating variable. Conducted in North Maluku, Indonesia, the research employs a quantitative explanatory design and utilizes structural equation modeling (SEM) with AMOS 24.0 to test the proposed relationships. Data were obtained through closed-ended questionnaires distributed to 175 employees selected via probability sampling across several Islamic banking institutions. The findings reveal that personality and performance have a significant positive effect on organizational commitment, whereas competence does not exert a direct influence. Furthermore, IWE significantly contributes to strengthening organizational commitment by embedding ethical values into workplace behavior. Personality and competence both positively affect the application of IWE, which in turn mediates their relationship with organizational commitment. These results underscore the strategic importance of fostering competence through conflict management training, enhancing the internalization of Islamic ethical principles, and promoting innovation in service delivery.

Abstract

Abstrak. Urbanisasi pesat di Kota Makassar telah mendorong alih fungsi lahan vegetasi menjadi lahan terbangun, yang berdampak pada peningkatan suhu permukaan dan pencemaran udara. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh perubahan penggunaan lahan dalam konteks pengembangan kota pintar terhadap suhu permukaan dan konsentrasi nitrogen dioksida (NO₂). Menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknologi penginderaan jauh dan sistem informasi geografis (SIG), penelitian ini memetakan perubahan lahan dan distribusi spasial suhu serta NO₂ berdasarkan citra satelit Sentinel-5P dan pengolahan dengan Quantum GIS. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kategori lahan non vegetasi mendominasi (12.003,5 Ha dari total 17.459,69 Ha), dan berasosiasi kuat dengan suhu permukaan tinggi (hingga 37°C) serta konsentrasi NO₂ tertinggi (7,83 mol/m³), terutama pada kawasan lahan terbangun. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa manajemen lahan yang tidak memperhatikan keseimbangan ekologis dalam kota pintar berisiko memperburuk kualitas lingkungan. Implikasi penelitian ini penting untuk kebijakan perencanaan tata ruang yang berkelanjutan dan berbasis mitigasi polusi udara. Abstract. Rapid urbanization in Makassar City has driven the conversion of vegetated areas into built-up land, contributing to increased surface temperatures and air pollution. This study aims to analyze the impact of land-use changes within the smart city development framework on surface temperature and nitrogen dioxide (NO₂) concentration. A quantitative approach was employed using remote sensing technology and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to map land-use changes and the spatial distribution of temperature and NO₂ based on Sentinel-5P satellite imagery processed with Quantum GIS. The results reveal that non-vegetated land dominates (12,003.5 hectares out of a total of 17,459.69 hectares), and is strongly associated with higher surface temperatures (up to 37°C) and the highest NO₂ concentrations (7.83 mol/m³), particularly in built-up areas. These findings highlight that land management practices in smart cities that neglect ecological balance may worsen environmental quality. The implications of this research are significant for urban spatial planning policies that prioritize sustainability and air pollution mitigation.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze and describe the Influence of Employee Character and Job Satisfaction on Employee Performance with Discipline as an Intervening Variable at Gas Stations in Dompu Regency. This study is classified as quantitative research with research respondents being gas station employees in Dompu Regency totaling 55 people. The research instruments are documentation and questionnaires developed from each theory underlying the research variables. The data collection procedure was carried out directly to the research respondents who were given a maximum of 2 hours to fill out the instrument. Structural Equation Modeling analysis with Partial Least Square (PLS). Research results Employee character has a significant effect on employee performance. Employee character does not have a significant effect on employee discipline. Job satisfaction has a significant effect on employee performance. Job satisfaction has a significant effect on employee work discipline. Work discipline does not have a significant effect on employee performance. Employee character has a significant effect on performance through employee discipline. Job satisfaction has a significant effect on performance through employee discipline at SPBU in Dompu Regency.

Abstract

Employee competency is a crucial factor in organizational success. This paper explores the multifaceted relationship between four key elements that contribute to competency: training, talent, technological systems, and personality. We review existing literature on the impact of training programs on skill development and knowledge acquisition. We then examine the role of inherent talent and its influence on the learning process and ultimate competency. The paper further investigates how technological systems can both enhance and challenge employee competency, depending on their design and user characteristics. Finally, we analyze the influence of personality traits on an individual's approach to learning, technology adoption, and overall performance. Through this comprehensive review, we aim to shed light on the complex interplay between these factors and their combined effect on employee competency. This knowledge can be valuable for organizations in designing effective development programs that foster a competent and adaptable workforce.

Abstract

The Airport Organizing Unit requires reliable apparatus resources, both in terms of ability in their work and behavior in the organization, because apparatus resources are an important element in the context of providing public services. This research aims to analyze the influence of organizational climate, work environment and supervision in motivating employees to form organizational citizenship behavior among Aviation Security Section employees at the UPBU Class 1 Mopah Merauke Office. Data was collected from all Aviation Security Section employees at the UPBU Class 1 Mopah Merauke Office through a questionnaire. A saturated sampling technique was carried out with a total final sample of 94 respondents. The data collected was analyzed using the SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) technique. The results of the analysis show that there is an influence of organizational climate, work environment and supervision in motivating employee work, but this influence has no effect on organizational citizenship behavior. Thus, work motivation cannot explain the mediating role in this relationship

Abstract

Abstrak Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilatarbelakangi rendahnya efisiensi usahatani dan ketiadaan integrasi budidaya ikan–sayuran pada Kelompok Tani (Poktan) Moncongloe, Kecamatan Moncongloe, Kabupaten Maros, Sulawesi Selatan. Tujuannya adalah meningkatkan kapasitas manajerial, merancang perencanaan produksi, serta memperluas akses pasar melalui penerapan sistem pertanian terpadu dan pelatihan manajemen usaha. Metode pelaksanaan bersifat partisipatif melalui tahapan: (1) identifikasi kebutuhan; (2) pelatihan teknis integrasi budidaya ikan (lele/nila) dan sayuran (model akuaponik/hidroponik) serta manajemen air–pakan; (3) pelatihan pencatatan keuangan, perhitungan biaya, penetapan harga, dan titik impas; (4) pendampingan lapangan mingguan; dan (5) evaluasi melalui observasi, wawancara, pre–post test, serta telaah dokumen usaha. Kegiatan pengabdian bersama Kelompok Tani Moncongloe menghasilkan peningkatan signifikan pada manajemen usaha, perencanaan produksi, dan pemasaran. Selama dua bulan pelatihan dan satu bulan pendampingan, mitra mampu menerapkan pencatatan keuangan mingguan, menyusun rencana rotasi tanam dan pemeliharaan ikan, serta memanfaatkan media sosial untuk promosi. Evaluasi melalui observasi, wawancara, pre–post test, dan dokumen usaha menunjukkan perubahan perilaku usaha yang terukur. Hasil ini membuktikan bahwa pendekatan terintegrasi dan pendampingan langsung efektif membentuk pola pikir agribisnis rumah tangga, sekaligus memperkuat kapasitas ekonomi lokal berbasis pertanian terpadu. Kata kunci: manajemen usaha; efesiensi usaha; poktan; pertanian terintegrasi. Abstract This community service program was initiated in response to the low efficiency of farming practices and the absence of integrated fish–vegetable cultivation within the Moncongloe Farmers’ Group (Poktan Moncongloe), located in Moncongloe District, Maros Regency, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. The program aimed to enhance managerial capacity, develop structured production planning, and expand market access through the application of integrated farming systems and agribusiness management training. Implementation followed a participatory approach comprising: (1) needs assessment; (2) technical training on integrating fish (catfish/tilapia) and vegetable cultivation using aquaponic/hydroponic models, as well as water–feed management; (3) training on financial record-keeping, cost calculation, pricing, and break-even analysis; (4) weekly field mentoring; and (5) evaluation through observation, interviews, pre–post testing, and review of business documents. The program yielded significant improvements in business management, production planning, and marketing. Over a two-month training period followed by one month of mentoring, participants successfully adopted weekly financial record-keeping, developed rotational planting schedules and fish maintenance plans, and utilized social media platforms for product promotion. Evaluation results demonstrated measurable changes in entrepreneurial behavior. These findings indicate that an integrated approach, coupled with direct mentoring, is effective in fostering household agribusiness mindsets while strengthening the local economy through integrated agriculture. Keywords: business management; business efficiency; farmer group; integrated farming.

Abstract

Tilapia is a popular type of fish in the global aquaculture industry, with the advantage of genetically enhanced strains for fast growth and feed efficiency. However, cultivators often need help with administrative management, suboptimal productivity, and limited knowledge about the latest cultivation technology. The community service program, which involves the Berkah Jaya tilapia cultivator group in Pandeglang, aims to increase understanding and overcome these challenges through assistance focusing on locally based solutions. Strategies include disease control, water quality management, and infrastructure improvements. Adopting appropriate technology and improving group administrative management are the main strategies for achieving sustainability and increasing productivity in tilapia farming.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan aplikasi Canva terhadap peningkatan kreativitas guru PAUD di Tangerang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen semu dengan desain pretest-posttest control group. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 30 guru PAUD di Tangerang yang dibagi menjadi kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Kelompok eksperimen diberikan pelatihan penggunaan aplikasi Canva sebagai media pembelajaran, sedangkan kelompok kontrol tidak diberikan pelatihan. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes kreativitas sebelum dan setelah pelatihan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari penggunaan aplikasi Canva terhadap peningkatan kreativitas guru PAUD di Tangerang. Guru PAUD yang menggunakan aplikasi Canva sebagai media pembelajaran memiliki kreativitas yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan guru PAUD yang tidak menggunakan aplikasi Canva. Oleh karena itu, penggunaan aplikasi Canva dapat menjadi alternatif yang efektif dalam meningkatkan kreativitas guru PAUD di Tangerang.
