Abstract

The curriculum is the backbone of education in every school. At the time of implementing the PLP in Semarang, the curriculum used at Secondary 3 (Junior High School class 9) to Junior College 2 (Senior High School class 3) in physics was Cambridge. The Cambridge Curriculum is an educational curriculum that gives students the skills they need for life, helping them achieve at school, university and work. This article aims to analyze the Cambridge curriculum in physics subjects at SIS Semarang. The method used in preparing the report on the results of the analysis was using interviews and direct observation at SIS Semarang. The school gives physics teacher the opportunity to develop learning styles, but demands that the syllabus must be discussed thoroughly, then the school also asks teachers to use active learning techniques, namely there is two-way interaction, such as students asking questions about the physics material, discussing it so that teacher can find out the students' abilities in the material. The school evaluates the implementation of the curriculum in the school which is always held every semester. There are several obstacles that may be faced in implementing the Cambridge curriculum, especially in physics subjects at SIS Semarang. Some of them are teacher readiness, required resources, student understanding, curriculum readiness to the local environment, and evaluation and assessment.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis validitas E-LKPD fisika terintegrasi agama sebagai perangkat pembelajaran yang dapat digunakan oleh peserta didik dengan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah metode Research and Development (R&D). Metode R&D digunakan untuk mengembangkan suatu produk dan menguji hasil dari produk yang dikembangkan. Prosedur penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Developt, Implement, Evaluate) yang berupa tahapan – tahapan yang sistematis dan penggunaannya bertujuan untuk mencapai hasil yang diinginkan. Pada penelitian ini, tahapan ADDIE hanya dilakukan terbatas pada tahap pengembangan (develop). Tahap analisis dilakukan untuk menganalisis kurikulum, materi, dan kebutuhan peserta didik. Tahap desain (design) dilakukan perancangan terkait isi dan model E-LKPD yang dikembangkan. Pada tahap pengembangan (develop) dilakukan validasi oleh tiga validator untuk menilai kelayakan dari E-LKPD yang dikembangkan. Hasil validitas E-LKPD fisika terintegrasi agama yang ditinjau berdasarkan aspek didaktik, konstruktif, dan teknik memperoleh persentase rata-rata sebesar 88,50% dengan kategori sangat valid. Aspek didaktik memperoleh skor 91,70%, aspek knstruktif memperoleh skor 83,30%, dan aspek teknik memperoleh skor 90,50%. Berdasarkan hasil validitas oleh tim validator disimpulkan bahwa E-LKPD fisika terintegrasi agama sangat valid dan layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran fisika. E-LKPD ini perlu dikembangkan dan dianalisi mendalam untuk mengetahui kepraktisan, dan keefektifan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik.

Abstract

Modul ajar berbasis ayat Al-Qur’an untuk materi energi terbarukan bertujuan untuk menciptakan pembelajaran yang holistik dan integratif. Dengan menghubungkan konsep-konsep ilmiah dengan ayat-ayat Al-Qur’an, diharapkan peserta didik dapat memahami materi energi terbarukan dengan lebih mendalam dan memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis yang lebih baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur efektivitasnya dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Diharapkan hasil dari penelitian ini dapat menjadi referensi dan inspirasi bagi pendidik lainnya dalam mengembangkan materi ajar yang integratif dan berbasis nilai-nilai agama. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan pengaplikasian metode Delphi. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar validasi modul ajar yang digunakan untuk menilai modul ajar yang telah dirancang dan disusun. Penilaian modul ajar dilakukan oleh tiga orang validator. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modul ajar berbasis model PBL terintegrasi ayat Al-Qur’an layak diimplementasikan pada sekolah jenjang menengah atas berbasis agama atau pesantren yang ditunjukkan dengan hasil nilai validasi modul ajar dengan kriteria sangat valid.

Abstract

Kemampuan menulis dan mempublikasikan artikel ilmiah merupakan salah satu indikator penting dalam profesionalisme guru. Namun, banyak guru, termasuk guru MGMP Fisika di Kabupaten Sidoarjo, yang menghadapi kendala dalam memenuhi tuntutan tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh guru MGMP Fisika Kabupaten Sidoarjo dalam menulis dan mempublikasikan artikel ilmiah sebagai bagian dari pengembangan profesionalisme. Penelitian ini menerapkan metode deskriptif kualitatif untuk mengkaji berbagai kendala yang dihadapi oleh guru MGMP Fisika di Kabupaten Sidoarjo dalam menyusun artikel ilmiah. Data diperoleh melalui proses observasi dan wawancara, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan tematik guna menemukan pola-pola permasalahan yang teridentifikasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, terdapat lima kendala utama yang dihadapi oleh guru, yaitu keterbatasan waktu yang disebabkan oleh beban kerja harian yang tinggi, rendahnya keterampilan menulis artikel ilmiah, ketidaktahuan tentang platform publikasi ilmiah, tingginya biaya publikasi, serta minimnya dukungan dari institusi. Selain itu, banyak guru yang kesulitan dalam menyusun artikel yang sesuai dengan kaidah ilmiah, serta kurangnya pemahaman tentang pentingnya publikasi ilmiah dalam meningkatkan kualitas pengajaran dan pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa menulis dan mempublikasikan artikel ilmiah masih menjadi tantangan signifikan bagi guru MGMP Fisika di Kabupaten Sidoarjo. Meskipun Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) sering dilakukan, guru menghadapi kesulitan dalam mengubah hasil penelitian menjadi karya ilmiah yang terpublikasi. Sebagai solusi disarankan perlunya langkah strategis, seperti pelatihan intensif dalam penulisan ilmiah, pendampingan dalam proses publikasi, serta kebijakan institusi yang mendukung pengembangan profesionalisme guru.

Abstract

Research focus of reviews trends and research on implementing ChatGPT in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) learning. It emphasizes the importance of deep learning and 21st-century skills in education, highlighting the limitations of ChatGPT in accuracy and credibility. The authors analyzed 204 STEAM education documents, revealing that 65% focused on technology education and less than 3% on art and mathematics education. The articles written in technology scope are the most widely circulated. The most productive region is the United States, which has three productive authors. The most productive authors are Ray (India) and Wang (Macao), who have the highest h-index. The United States and United Kingdom are the most productive affiliations. Many types of research on ChatGPT in STEAM education include a survey with several participants of different education levels. Social science is the most popular subject area. The Journal Nature is the primary source for this research. Several research highlighted artificial intelligence, ChatGPT, and human keywords. This study highlights the potential of ChatGPT in STEAM, suggesting further research on student behavior, learning designs, and credibility concerns. It suggests collaboration with Google Scholar or Web of Science data for in-depth analysis.

Abstract

The topic of scientific arguments is crucial to discuss because it is one of the basic sciences that has close links with other topics. Moreover, this science has a close relationship with the skills of the 21st century today. This study aims to reveal the current trends in the scientific argumentation field for the last 10 years based on the Scopus database. This study uses quantitative research through bibliometric studies with the keyword scientific argumentation year. The results of this study indicate that the number of article publications during the years 2012 to 2021 on the topic of scientific argumentation has increased on average. However, the most visible increase was in 2018-2021. The United States, Indonesia, and Germany dominated the publication of scientific argumentation topics from 2012 to 2021. As for the top authors were from the United States and Germany. Furthermore, in scientific argumentation, dominated by subject areas based on science, keywords used are argumentation, students, and scientific argumentation. There were several suggestions for the research, namely: i) the need for further research, especially on the differences and similarities of each argumentation; ii) the need to discuss the appropriate scope of argumentation at the appropriate learning level; iii) collaboration between universities that have a focus on this argumentation field. It is highly recommended that the research be more robust; and iv) future research must adapt to the current development of arguments so that the topic does not decline but continues to become the basis for studying other sciences.

Abstract

Objective:  This study aimed to analyze the trends, collaborations, and contributions in Metaverse-related research within the context of science education from 2021 to 2024. The research identifies the growth dynamics, key countries, institutions, and thematic keywords in Metaverse research, emphasizing its educational applications. Method: A bibliometric analysis was conducted on 64 articles from 51 sources, spanning 2021-2024 with PRISMA. The data were collected using citation metrics, keyword analysis, author collaboration, and geographical distribution of publications. VOSviewer were employed to visualize the relationships between key themes and institutions. Results: The study revealed a significant increase in research output, particularly from 2021 to 2023, with a growth rate of 100%. China and the United States emerged as the leading contributors, with distinct research patterns: China focused on national studies, while the USA engaged in more international collaborations. Keywords such as Augmented Reality, Machine Learning, and Science Education were central to the discourse, highlighting the growing intersection of technology and education. Leading institutions included the University of Zilina and Jakarta State University.  Novelty:This research provides a detailed bibliometric overview of the metaverse in science education, highlighting the gap in bibliometric studies focused specifically on science education within the metaverse. It offers insights into emerging trends, key collaborations, and potential areas for further exploration.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of analyzing the teacher's role as an applicator of Pancasila student profiles in the independent curriculum. This research is based on the development of the era which is getting faster which is marked by the development of information technology which triggers the fading of noble values and behavioral deviations in children. Therefore, it is necessary to have character education to foster and guide students to become individuals who behave, behave, and order words well. In the independent curriculum, there is a profile of Pancasila students which is a form of character education. Through the programs, students are expected to be able to apply Pancasila values in their lives. In making it happen, the role of a teacher is needed. This research uses qualitative methods through literature studies and interviews. The data that has been obtained will be processed and then analyzed. From the data that has been obtained, it can be concluded that the teacher has a strategic role in realizing the goals of having a Pancasila student profile. The teacher who is known as someone who is admired and imitated has a role as a role model for students to behave and behave. The teacher is the leader in the class. So that the condition of the teacher in learning can directly affect the condition of students. Teachers are indeed role models for students, but school principals and non-educational staff should also be good examples for students because in realizing a Pancasila student profile that can be applied by students, teachers also need support from all elements of the school.

Abstract

Scientific argumentation is the process of strengthening claims through critical analysis based on supporting evidence and logical reasons, where the evidence can include facts that can be accepted as truth. This study aims to describe the improvement of students' scientific argumentation abilities on the topic of light waves after applying the ADI learning model. This research uses the type of True Experimental with a Control Group Pretest and Posttest design. The data collection technique in this study was the test method. The results of this study indicate an increase in scientific argumentation abilities on the topic of light waves after applying the ADI learning model. The results of the scientific argumentation ability of experimental class students were higher than the control class, the experimental class got an n-gain of 0.60 with a medium category, while the control class got an n-gain of 0.26 with a low category. In the pretest, experimental, and control classes, students were at levels 1, 2, and 3. The posttest results of experimental class students who experienced increased scientific argumentation at levels 4 and 5. Meanwhile, the posttest results of students in the control class were relatively the same as the pretest results, namely at levels 1, 2, and 3. In addition, the Cohen's Effect Size analysis results showed a value of 0.88 in the strong criteria. It can be concluded the ADI learning model affects learning to improve students' scientific argumentation abilities of senior high school students on the topic of light waves.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berupa Game Ular Tangga Numerasi untuk mendukung Program SAS (Sekolah Arek Suroboyo) di SDN Benowo 3 Surabaya. Permasalahan yang diangkat berdasarkan minimnya media pembelajaran, sehingga guru dituntut untuk kreatif dalam memilih media pembelajaran yang tepat bagi siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pengembangan. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas III, IV, dan V SDN Benowo 3 Surabaya. Sampel yang digunakan adalah 45 siswa melalui teknik random sampling. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian pengembangan. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan hasil pretest dan posttest. Teknik analisis data menggunakan empat tahap yaitu: (1) Potensi masalah, (2) Pengumpulan data, (3) Desain produk, (4) Validasi Produk. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diperoleh bahwa pengembangan media pembelajaran berupa Game Ular Tangga Numerasi sangat efektif digunakan untuk mendukung Program SAS (Sekolah Arek Suroboyo) di SDN Benowo 3 Surabaya yang kreatif dan edukatif.
