Abstract

Problem-based learning (PBL) is one of the various effective learning models used by a teacher in teaching physics. In the PBL model, students are encouraged to ask and answer questions to improve their problem-solving skills. This study aims to analyze whether the PBL model with the hybrid method can improve students' problem-solving abilities in learning physics. This research is pre-experimental research. The research sample is class X MIPA 1 at SMAN 17 Surabaya, taken by using the purposive sampling technique. The research was conducted in a hybrid learning (offline and online) using a one-group pretest-posttest design. Data were collected through observation and tests in the form of pre-test and post-test. The data were then analyzed using quantitative descriptive methods. The results showed that the n-gain value obtained was 0.31 (medium category). The paired t-test results obtained have a sig value. (2-tails) of 0.000, which is smaller than sig. 0.05. Based on these results, it can be concluded that learning physics with the PBL model is quite effective in improving students' problem-solving abilities.

Abstract

The topic of extraterrestrial life is still only a theory and the truth is still being investigated. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the beginning formation of the universe according to astrophysics and the Qur’an, astrophysics discoveries about extraterrestrial life, and letters in the Qur’an that hint at extraterrestrial life, as well as analyzing the relationship between astrophysics and letters in the Qur’an related to extraterrestrial life. This research is qualitative research with a method consisting of library research and interviews. The primary data of this research comes from scientific articles of previous research, relevant books, and interpretations of Qur’an verses. The secondary data were obtained through the results of interviews with experts. The data analysis technique in this study was adapted from the analysis technique of Miles & Huberman, while the verses of the Qur’an used the Kemenag interpretation with a scientific interpretation style. The results show that in line with the astrophysical discoveries, the creation of the universe and the existence of extraterrestrial life are also hinted at in the Qur'an. In addition, the alleged presence of water on other planets also supports the signs in the Qur'an. Based on the results, it can be concluded that there is no dichotomy between astrophysical discoveries and signs in the Qur'an regarding extraterrestrial life.

Abstract

Abstrak Fisika merupakan bagian dari sains atau ilmu pengetahuan alam, sehingga aktivitas berargumentasi menjadi krusial pada aktivitas pembelajaran fisika dalam kelas. Oleh karena itu, untuk membentuk suatu argumentasi yang berkualitas baik, peserta didik diharuskan dapat mengaitkan ilmu pengetahuan yang satu dengan lainnya. Kemampuan peserta didik untuk membangun argumen yang kuat merupakan komponen penting dari pemahaman konseptual yang akurat. Maka perencanaan pembelajaran yang efektif yang mempertimbangkan kebutuhan dan karakteristik setiap peserta didik diperlukan untuk membantu mereka lebih memahami konsep dan materi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) keterlaksanaan pembelajaran fisika setelah penerapan model diskusi kelas pada materi gelombang cahaya; (2) peningkatan kemampuan argumentasi ilmiah peserta didik setelah penerapan model pembelajaran diskusi kelas; serta (3) respon peserta didik terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran tersebut. Jenis penelitian ini adalah true-experimental dengan desain Control Group Pretest-Posttest. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, tes, dan angket. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji-t berpasangan, uji-t satu pihak, serta perhitungan n-gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterlaksanaan model pembelajaran diskusi kelas di kelas XI di SMAN 1 Waru pada materi gelombang cahaya terlaksana dengan sangat baik. Kemampuan argumentasi ilmiah peserta didik mengalami peningkatan yang tergolong tinggi, dengan nilai n-gain sebesar 0,735 pada kelas eksperimen. Respon peserta didik terhadap penerapan model diskusi kelas sangat baik dengan rata-rata persentase respon mencapai 94%. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa implementasi model pembelajaran diskusi kelas mampu meningkatkan kemampuan argumentasi ilmiah peserta didik pada materi gelombang cahaya. Abstract Physics is a branch of science or natural science, making argumentation crucial in classroom physics learning activities. Therefore, to form high-quality arguments, students are required to connect one area of knowledge with another. The ability of students to build strong arguments is an important component of accurate conceptual understanding. Thus, effective lesson planning that considers the needs and characteristics of each student is necessary to help them better understand concepts and material. This study aims to describe: (1) the implementation of physics learning following an implementation of the classroom discussion model on the topic of light waves; (2) the improvement of students' scientific argumentation skills upon implementing the classroom discussion model; and (3) the students' response to the implementation of this teaching model. This research employed true-experimental design with pretest-posttest control group design. Data were collected through testing, questionnaire, and observation. Paired sample t-test, independent sample t-test, and normalized gain ( n-gain) analysis were employed in the data analysis. The research results show that the implementation of the classroom discussion learning model in the XI class at SMAN 1 Waru on the topic of light waves was carried out very well. The students' scientific argumentation skills showed a significantly high improvement, with an n-gain score of 0.735 in the experimental class. The students' response to the application of the classroom discussion model was very positive, with an average response percentage reaching 94%. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the implementation of the classroom discussion learning model can enhance students' scientific argumentation skills on the topic of light waves. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between the local wisdom of gamelan (saron) and the concept of physics on sound waves and to analyze the effect of the material in gamelan (saron) on sound scales and sound resonance. In this article the experimental method used is qualitative research, with conducting structured interviews with informants, and analyzing the data obtained. In this article, the physics concept contained in the gamelan (saron) is obtained, namely the concept of sound waves. In gamelan (saron) when hitting a blade after being hit, the saron blades are dipitet so that the sound produced is not humming and the tone produced is clear. This is also related to the material for making gamelan (saron) which affects the sound produced or sound quality. Each blade or scale on the saron is different from the thinnest to the thickest. From this article it is concluded that gamelan (saron) is related to physics learning, namely sound waves. The materials and ladder blades in the gamelan (saron) affect the quality of the sound produced. Gamelan (saron) teaches Javanese cultural values ??and as a benchmark for the height or civilization of a nation.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country with cultural diversity that has been passed down from generation to generation. One of these cultures is the Tongklek art originating from Tuban Regency, East Java. In Tongklek art, all musical instruments used can be associated with the application of physics concepts. However, due to limited human resources, the study of the physics concepts contained in the art of Tongklek has received little attention. This study aims to identify the concept of physics in the local wisdom of Tongklek in order to increase public knowledge. In this study using a descriptive research method with a qualitative approach. The analysis technique used is data reduction. Based on the results of the research, it was found that the Tongklek art is a type of traditional art in the form of music art found in Tuban Regency, East Java. Tongklek art is a type of art in which there are several musical instruments, among the musical instruments used are kentongan, xylophone, bonang/kenong, gong suwuk, blunt gong, gong jengur/jegluk, drums, and plastic drums. In every musical instrument in the Tongklek art there is a concept of physics, namely the material of sound waves, especially organ pipes. The source of the sound of the Tongklek art, on average, comes from musical instruments that have a certain volume, there are forms where all fields are closed, there are also some of these things which are named as air columns as the source of the vibrations.

Abstract

Implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka saat ini menjadi salah satu yang sangat diperhatikan dalam dunia pendidikan di Indonesia. Dengan begitu penting untuk membahas kondisi yang terjadi di lapangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan hasil pembelajaran peserta didik berdasarkan kegiatan belajar mengajar yang telah dilakukan selama kegiatan PLP mahasiswa di SMAN 1 Tarik Sidoarjo khususnya pada pembelajaran fisika dan umumnya pada seluruh kelas X.  Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dan wawancara. Data penelitian dideskripsikan berdasarkan hasil belajar peserta didik dan hasil wawancara pada bapak/ibu guru dan mahasiswa. Data dianalisis dengan tahapan, (1) reduksi data, (2) display data, dan (3) penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan, (1) pembelajaran dengan memberi kebebasan pada peserta didik dapat memberi pengalaman belajar yang lebih bermakna, (2) kesiapan SMAN 1 Tarik masih belum maksimal dalam penerapan pembelajaran menggunakan Kurikulum Merdeka terkhusus pada SDM guru, (3) SMA 1 Tarik terus mengembangkan dan menginovasi pembelajaran sesuai dengan tuntutan Kurikulum Merdeka. Kedepannya, penting sekali untuk mempersiapkan baik secara SDM guru maupun kesiapan sekolah untuk Implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka.

Abstract

Kanker serviks merupakan salah satu masalah utama kesehatan reproduksi pada wanita sering menyebabkan kematian (90%) yang disebabkan oleh virus HPV (Human Papilloma Virus). Tujuan penelitian adalah menganalisis hubungan Sikap Ibu dengan Perilaku Pencegahan Ca Serviks Melalui Pemeriksaan IVA di Puskesmas Cermee Bondowoso.Desain penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasional dan termasuk penelitian crossectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua wanita usia subur di Puskesmas Cermee Bondowoso sebanyak 7200 orang. Besar sampel dalam penelitian ini sebesar 98 orang diambil secara aksidental sampling. Pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan kuesioner kemudian data diolah dengan menggunakan SPSS dengan menggunakan Uji Chi Square. Hasil analisis data diketahui bahwa sebagian besar responden memiliki sikap yang positif sebanyak 54 orang (55,1%), Perilaku pemeriksaan kanker serviks adalah negatif sebanyak 71 orang (72,4%). Berdasarkan uji Chi Square diperoleh nilai signifikansi (Asymp. Sig) sebesar 0,000< 0,05, artinya ho ditolak dan ha diterima, sehingga ada hubungan sikap dengan perilaku pemeriksaan kanker serviks di Puskesmas Cermee Bondowoso. Hipotesis dalam penelitian ini diterima dan terbukti secara statistik. Sikap yang positif cenderung memiliki perilaku yang negatif. Disarankan responden dapat melakukan pemeriksaan deteksi dini kanker servik secara rutin.

Abstract

Objective: Conceptual change is a research trend that continues to develop with various innovations being carried out. The research aims to conduct a literature study on conceptual change and how it contributes to science education. Method: The data was collected by searching for literature sources for articles using specific criteria. Ten articles were synthesized in more depth to answer questions from the research conducted. Result: The results of this research state that methodology and assessment tools influence the form and objectives of research data to be achieved both qualitatively and quantitatively. Apart from that, the concepts in science education are more focused on the physics concepts contained in it. In addition, the findings from these ten articles have a positive impact on science education, especially on material rich in concepts. Novelty: In this way, in making changes to students' conceptions, it is necessary to carry out preliminary studies related to the profile of students and the sample group that you want to research so that it can become a reference for the direction of the research you want to complete.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the validity of a physics E-LKPD based on the traditional game boi-boian on momentum and impulse material. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate), but it is limited to the development stage because the study focuses only on validity. The data collection instrument was a validation sheet given to three validators: two physics lecturers and one physic teacher. The validated aspects included material relevance, suitability of the E-LKPD with problem-solving skills, content feasibility, language, and appearance. The validation results showed an average score of 95.05%, categorized as very valid, indicating that the E-LKPD is suitable for use. This E-LKPD is recommended for further development and future research to analyze its practicality and effectiveness in improving students’ problem-solving abilities

Abstract

This Community Service activity aims to improve the skills of senior high school physics teachers in Sidoarjo in understanding the structure, writing techniques, and process of submitting scientific articles to accredited journals. The program was implemented using a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, which involved identifying partner needs, planning materials, conducting workshops, providing assistance with article drafting, and evaluating the program. The evaluation was conducted using a Likert-scale questionnaire, participant observation sheets, and brief interviews to measure participants' understanding and involvement. The training results showed an increase in teachers' understanding of the main components of scientific articles and an improvement in their ability to write the introduction and methods sections through guided practice sessions. The majority of participants gave “strongly agree” and “agree” ratings to the usefulness of the training, the quality of the material delivery, and the smooth implementation, with the highest percentage reaching 60%. The lowest score of 28% appeared on items related to the dynamic electricity material. Observations also showed that participants were more confident in drafting manuscripts after receiving direct assistance. Overall, this program was effective in improving teachers' basic scientific literacy and has the potential to be a strategic step in building a culture of sustainable scientific publication within the Physics teacher working group, thereby encouraging the creation of scientific works that meet the standards of national and international journals.
