Abstract

Cooperatives can play a role as one of the main forces in encouraging national economic growth. One of the indicators in improving the welfare of members can be proven by the increase in SHU. This study aims to examine how the independent variables (number of members, external capital, business volume, and total assets) can affect the dependent variable (SHU) in all cooperatives in Bali Province. The approach in this study is a quantitative approach with a verification method using panel data regression analysis. This study uses secondary data with time series 2015-2020 and a cross-section of 9 districts/cities sourced from the publications of the Bali Province Cooperatives and UMKM Office. It’s known that the results of this study when proven simultaneously, that the external capital variable, business volume variable, and total asset variable have a significant influence on the SHU variable. Partially it’s known that the variable number of members has no influence and is negatively related to the SHU variable, there is a significant influence between external capital and the SHU variable but is negatively related, the business volume variable has a significant and positive relationship to the SHU variable, and the total assets variable has an influence as well significantly related to the SHU variable.

Abstract This study aims to determine the strategic priorities in the development of the Sanan tempe chips industry. This research design uses descriptive quantitative using Analytical Network Process (ANP). The population in this study is the tempe chips industry in the Sanan area, while the sample in this study is the owner of the tempe chips industry. The methods used in data collection are observation, questionnaires/questionnaires and literature study. The results of this study indicate that industrial clusters are a top priority because industrial development can improve human resources and expertise and mastery of technology and can encourage the creation of effective and sustainable technology. Meanwhile, in the industrial cluster, the sub-criteria for the attractiveness of SME's industry development strategy is the main priority because the tempe chip industries can compete in developing their market. In determining the respondent's agreement through the rater agreement in the industrial cluster, the respondent's human resources and technology have low agreement because according to the respondent all aspects are considered equally important and interconnected. In determining respondents' agreement through rater agreement on industrial sub-criteria, human resources and technology have high agreement because all strategies are very important to do for the development of the Sanan Tempe Chips industry. The suggestion put forward by the author in the development of the Sanan tempe chips industry is expected to increase the attractiveness of SMEs by carrying out product innovations and promotions. Abstract

The role of SMEs as the engine of the economy with all its problems is still a concern because of the contribution of sales to the overall economy. The weakness of SMEs, especially from the element of resources, results in limitations in developing the business. However, business continuity in SMEs directs companies to make business improvements, through internationalization. Meanwhile, the knowledge and skills needed by SMEs for internationalization are inadequate. Therefore, SMEs need to build a network that not only helps meet the weaknesses of UKM's resources, but can provide information and knowledge that supports internationalization. Thus, this paper is intended to provide insight into the role of networks in directing SMEs towards internationalization. The qualitative approach in this research is to use the literature study method. The results of studies from several studies on SMEs in several regions of the world explain several things regarding "networks", namely: first, how networks are able to support SMEs to achieve internationalization and explain the achievement of high international performance, through networks; second, describes the type of network in SMEs and readiness to obtain a network; third, analyzing how the business adapts and the commitment of SMEs to the network; fourth, linking the role of networking in SMEs to business success. how the network is able to support SMEs to achieve internationalization and explain the achievement of high international performance, through the network; second, describes the type of network in SMEs and readiness to obtain a network; third, analyzing how the business adapts and the commitment of SMEs to the network; fourth, linking the role of networking in SMEs to business success. how the network is able to support SMEs to achieve internationalization and explain the achievement of high international performance, through the network; second, describes the type of network in SMEs and readiness to obtain a network; third, analyzing how the business adapts and the commitment of SMEs to the network; fourth, linking the role of networking in SMEs to business success.

Abstract

Background: The nations that make up OPEC (the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries) have traditionally depended on gas and oil export earnings. However, there is a significant global shift towards renewable energy in an effort to reduce the impact of climate change. This research aims to analyze the effect of Renewable Energy Consumption, CO2 Emissions, and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) on the Economic Growth in OPEC Nations partially and simultaneously. Methods: In this research, panel data regression analysis techniques are combined with quantitative research approaches. Secondary data from the World Development Indicators (WDI) for the years 2001–2020 were used in this research. Finding: This research showed that the Renewable Energy Consumption and CO2 Emissions variables do not affect economic growth in OPEC countries. Meanwhile, the foreign direct investment variable has a positive and significant effect on economic growth in OPEC countries. Conclusion: OPEC countries need to diversify their economies and CO2 reduce their dependence on oil as there is a global shift towards cleaner energy. Novelty/Originality of this article:  This study analyzes the impact of Renewable Energy Consumption, CO2 Emissions, and Foreign Direct Investment on Economic Growth in OPEC countries using panel data regression analysis. The study's findings show that only Foreign Direct Investment positively and significantly impacts economic growth.

Abstract

The study of networks in the internationalization process of SMEs has become an interesting discussion, this condition is because each country has unique dynamics in utilizing existing networks. The results of the analysis of the 20 articles in this study show that being proactive in the network community will strengthen relationships with partners and implementing an alliance strategy will strengthen the position of SMEs in increasing competitiveness and expanding markets. This condition occurs in both developing and developed countries. The dominant factor influencing the speed of the internationalization process is social and business network relations that begin with social ties. Of the 8 articles that discuss networking in the process of internationalization in developed countries (China, Central America, and East America), it shows that the government as an institution that has an important role in the internationalization of SMEs needs to design a framework in the form of policies that encourage the acceleration of various forms of collaboration between businesses. Meanwhile, 12 articles that discuss the process of internationalization in developing countries show that for the expansion and growth of SMEs a social network structure is needed, and the role of ethnic (group) ties in internationalization.
