Abstract

Employee performance in a government organization is an important component in achieving the goal of providing the best service to the community. As a result, leaders must effectively handle work conflicts that affect employee performance and job satisfaction. This research aims to analyze the influence of leadership style and work conflict on performance in the field of medicine and health in the North Sumatra Regional Police, as well as through job satisfaction. Leadership style and work conflict are identified as factors that influence individual performance in the organizational context. Data was collected through a survey using a questionnaire distributed to 83 respondents in the North Sumatra Regional Police's Biddokkes. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and SEM (Structural Equation Model) analysis. The research results show that leadership style has a positive and significant influence on performance in the field of medicine and health in the North Sumatra Regional Police. Work conflict has a negative and significant effect on performance. High work conflict tends to hinder individual performance. Job satisfaction can mediate the relationship between leadership style, work conflict, and performance. This means that if individuals feel satisfied with their work, the negative influence of work conflict can be reduced and the positive influence of leadership style can be increased. This research provides an important contribution to the understanding of the factors that influence performance in the field of medicine and health in the North Sumatra Regional Police. The practical implication of this research is the importance of developing an effective leadership style and good conflict management in improving individual performance. Apart from that, organizations also need to pay attention to job satisfaction as a factor that can mediate the relationship between leadership style, work conflict and performance.

Abstract

The performance of employees at the Medan Polonia KPP Pratama Office is not yet optimal, which is reflected in the level of errors in tasks and non-achievement of targets. Apart from that, low work flexibility can be seen from the difficulty of employees adapting. The experience of working in the office is still not strong, especially in switching from offline to online work after the pandemic. Uncertainty in the work environment also affects employee effectiveness and efficiency. This research aims to test and analyze the impact of various factors such as work flexibility, work experience and environmental uncertainty on employee performance. This research uses quantitative descriptive methods. The research sample was 100 KPP Pratama Medan Polonia employees. Data collection was carried out through distributing questionnaires and data analysis was carried out using the SmartPLS application. The research results show that Work Experience and Work Flexibility have a positive effect on improving employee performance, with Work Flexibility also acting as a mediator in this relationship. In contrast to Environmental Uncertainty, this variable has been proven to have a negative effect on Employee Performance.

Abstract

The North Sumatra LHK Service has a very complex and crucial role. The North Sumatra LHK Service must monitor and maintain forest sustainability, prevent forest encroachment, and support forest and land rehabilitation activities. The performance that occurs in the North Sumatra Forestry and Environment Service is the lack of skills development programs to overcome the lack of competency that employees may have. This condition can cause a decline in performance in the long term. Then, excessive workload for employees is given responsibilities or tasks that exceed their capacity, which results in a decrease in the quality of their performance. This research aims to determine and analyze the influence of competency and workload on ASN performance in the North Sumatra Environment and Forestry Service. The population in this study is the permanent employees of the Environment and Forestry Service of North Sumatra Province, which as of August 2023 are 629 employees. The total sample was 126 employees from the Environment and Forestry Service of North Sumatra Province. The sampling method refers to the simple random sampling technique. The data collection technique in this research is using Multiple Linear Regression Analysis. The results of this research are that competency has a positive and significant effect on ASN performance. Workload has a positive and significant effect on ASN performance.

The TOWS analysis method is used to evaluate the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats faced during the procurement process. The results of the internal factor evaluation (IFE) and external factor evaluation (EFE) matrices show that this strategy is in Quadrant III, or the stabilization stage. The focus of this strategy is to maximize strengths and opportunities while reducing weaknesses and threats. The resulting strategies are accelerating the readiness of tender documents, optimizing the use of digital procurement, standardizing and updating tender documents and creating work instructions, utilizing information technology, increasing risk mitigation, increasing synergy and collaboration with stakeholders, as well as increasing HR competency.

Abstract

In order to maintain environmental sustainability and minimize the negative impacts of human activities on the earth, PLN Nusantara Power has implemented strategic steps to build a sustainable living culture. This effort is carried out as part of the company's commitment to achieving sustainability goals and carrying out environmental responsibilities. The data analysis technique in this study was carried out with classical assumptions and multiple linear regression tests. The results of this study indicate that the Management Support Variable of 0.0264 and the Employee Mindset Variable of 0.556 show a positive and significant influence on the sustainable living culture. These results indicate that a positive employee mindset that is in line with the principles of sustainability is one of the important keys in creating a more environmentally friendly and sustainable work environment. Simultaneously, the two independent variables, namely management support and employee mindset, together have a positive and significant influence on the sustainable living culture.
