Abstract

Abstract

This study examines the effect of leadership style on employee performance with work motivation as a mediating variable. In modern organizational environments, leadership has been recognized as a critical determinant of employee performance. Effective leadership fosters a supportive work environment, enhances intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, and ultimately contributes to improved employee performance. Although numerous studies have explored the direct relationship between leadership and performance, few have rigorously assessed the mediating role of motivation using a large, representative sample. This study employed a quantitative approach using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) and surveyed 100 employees from various departments of PT KLM Tangerang to test the hypothesized relationship. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using regression and mediation analyses. The results indicate that leadership style significantly influences motivation, which in turn positively influences employee performance. Furthermore, motivation partially mediates the relationship between leadership style and performance, suggesting that leadership practices foster higher motivation, which improves performance outcomes. These findings corroborate recent literature demonstrating consistent positive effects of leadership and motivation on performance. This study contributes to organizational behavior theory by providing empirical evidence on the mediating mechanisms of motivation and offers practical implications for human resource management. Organizations should prioritize leadership development programs and motivational strategies to strengthen employee performance and organizational effectiveness.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of power naps on employee work productivity. A power nap refers to a short period of sleep taken during the day to restore physical and mental energy. This research employed a quantitative approach using simple regression analysis to determine the relationship between power naps as the independent variable and work productivity as the dependent variable. The data were collected through questionnaires distributed to employees at the research site. The results indicate that power naps have a positive and significant effect on employee productivity. Taking a short nap during working hours can help improve concentration, alertness, and reduce levels of work fatigue experienced by employees. These conditions allow employees to perform their tasks more effectively and efficiently. In addition, power naps contribute to maintaining employees’ physical and mental balance, enabling them to work more optimally. Therefore, the implementation of power naps can be considered as an alternative strategy to support a healthier work environment and enhance overall employee productivity

Abstract

Abstract

Human resource development is a key pillar in a country's economic transformation. In today's digital and knowledge-based economy, human resources are no longer simply production factors like machines or land, but rather strategic assets that determine global competitiveness. In the digital world, competitive advantage no longer lies in the ownership of physical assets, but rather in data mastery, creativity in problem-solving, and the ability to build trust with consumers worldwide. Human involvement in the global digital market also includes a strategic role in navigating the complexities of varying cultures and regulations in each country. This study aims to provide an analysis of human resource development to strengthen competitiveness in the global digital market era. This analysis uses a qualitative approach from the perspective of a human resources expert. The research findings demonstrate Dave Ulrich and Josh Bersin's understanding that a paradigm shift in human resource management in the global digital market era is no longer merely an option, but a necessity for survival. In the global digital market, the competitiveness of a nation or company is no longer determined by the possession of natural resources, but by the quality of its human capital.
