Abstract

This article discusses the prediction of Indonesian political dynamics in the future after the elimination of the presidential threshold by the Constitutional Court (MK). The method used is a mixture method, a qualitative approach with NVivo 12 software and an analysis of the quantitative approach using SEM PLS-4. Theresults of the study show that politics and democracy significantly affect the National Defense, with a coefficient of 0.468 and a P-value of 0.023, which means a significant effect on the 5% significance level. This indicates that political stability and democracy have a greater role in forming national defense. So the model of strengthening the coalition system in parliament can encourage interparty consensus to maintain government stability, ensure that defense policies continue to run, maintain the neutrality of the TNI, keep the National Police consistent, and commit to state security, and the role of society is still needed to oversee politics and democracy

Abstract

Indonesia's exposure of lead (Pb) and copper (Cu) heavy metal ions to humans and the environment has received increased attention over the past few decades as a result of the increasing application of heavy metals in various industries and transportation. Complex compounds of Cr3+ sensors with fluorescence-based pyrazoline-derived ligands (fluorosensors) have the potential to detect Pb2+ and Cu2+ heavy metal ions. The purpose of this study is to synthesize complex compounds of Cr3+ ions with pyrazoline-derived ligands and its potential as a fluorescence-based sensor of Pb2+ and Cu2+ heavy metal ions. Complex compounds formed are characterized and fluorosensor study by spectroscopic methods. The results showed that the synthesis of complex compounds was successfully carried out and a brown precipitate with a melting point of 253.2°C was obtained. Based on the results of the characterization of complex compounds of Cr3+ metal ions with pyrazolin-derived ligands using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer, two absorption peaks were obtained at 226 and 370 nm, two peaks indicating the presence of transition types π→π* and n→π*. The fluorescence spectrophotometer results showed two emission peaks, the peak absorption maximum of Cr3+ complex compounds was in the region 491 nm with a fluorescence intensity of 320.40 a.u. The determination of the fluorosensor potential of Cr3+ complex compounds with the addition of Pb2+ and Cu2+ metal ions showed significant changes in fluorescence so that fluorosensor types were obtained for Cr3+ metal ion complex compounds with Pb2+ and Cu2+, namely "turn-on" and "turn-off", respectively.

Abstract

Jokotuwo fault zone was first mentioned as the sinistral transpression Jokotuwo fault by Jatmika Setiawan (2002). The trending of fault zone can be traced on four directions. The first direction is ENE –WSW in northern part of Jokotuwo hill to Konang hill. The second direction is E – W in southern part of Jokotuwo hill to southern part of Semangu hill. The third direction is NNW – SSE in central part of Jokotuwo hill to Temas hill, and the fourth direction is NE – SW in central part Jokotuwo hill to Gunung Gajah hill. The fault zone area show evidence for four successive structure episodes. The first generation (D1) is deformation in northern part of Jokotuwo hill to the Rondonom hill. This zones is manifested by a variety of structures for well-developed mylonite foliations. The second generation (D2) is deformation in southern part of Jokotuwo hill to southern part of Semangu hill. This zone is manifested by shearing structure for cataclasite flow. The third generation (D3) is deformation in central part of Jokotuwo hill to Temas hill. This zone is manifested by a variety of structures, which may include drag folds,  fault plane, and fault breccia. The fourth generation (D4) is deformation in central part of Jokotuwo hill to Gunung Gajah hill. This zone  is manifested by a variety of structures, which may include fault plane, and fault breccias. The earliest structures in the Eastern Jiwo hill was generally showed that D1 structures are rotational and non-coaxial in semi-ductile character. The deformation was dextral thrusting involving WNW shortening with a significant component of thrust-parallel slip movement that continued into the Pra-Tertiary Orogeny. The D2 and D3 are rotational and non-coaxial in brittle character. The deformation were sinistral transpressive with a significant component of sinistral-strike slip movement that continued into the Tertiary Orogeny.

Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) is caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. BCG vaccination is prevention the spread of TB in Indonesia. Individuals who are vaccinated (vaccinated) are healthy individuals and susceptible to infection. If a person is infected with TB then curative efforts through DOTS treatment must be carried out in order to recover. In the case of TB, recovered individuals may relapse. The susceptible vaccinated infected treatment recovered ( ) model with relapse cases is able to represent the spread of TB. This study aims to build the model with relapse, apply it to TB in Indonesia using data from 2004-2019, and interpret the results of implementing the TB-free target in Indonesia in 2050. The model is nonlinear first-order differential equations. The graph of the pattern of TB spread shows that all groups of individuals are experiencing an uptrend and it is predicted that the TB-free target has not been achieved. However, if the coverage of BCG vaccination and DOTS treatment is increased, contacts with TB sufferers are reduced, and relapse cases are reduced, it is predicted that the TB-free target will be achieved.

Abstract

One of the five human senses referred to as photoreceptors is the eye because the eye is very sensitive to light stimuli. Refractive abnormalities in the eyes are often experienced, which are abnormalities that occur when the eyes cannot see clearly in the open or blurred vision. An unhealthy lifestyle is a trigger for an increase in individuals who experience complaints of eye diseases. In diagnosing a disease, doctors need patient information in the form of symptoms experienced so that patients can be treated immediately. Information in the form of symptoms and types of eye diseases can be used to make conjectures about eye diseases through the structure of BN. The symptom information and type of the disease are represented through nodes, while the relationships are represented through the edge. BN is one of the Probabilistic Graphical Models (PGM) consisting of nodes and edges. BN is also known as a direct acyclic graph (DAG), which is a directed graph that does not have a cycle. The approach method used is scored based on the evaluation process with the bic scoring function. The algorithm used in this study is the HC algorithm. The research data used consisted of 52 symptoms and 15 eye diseases. The results of the study were obtained by the final structure of BN formed by the HC algorithm produced 93 edges and 65 connected nodes, and the probability value of the disease and the symptoms of the disease in the eye.

Abstract

Sentiment analysis is a form of machine learning that functions to obtain emotional polarity values or data tendencies from data in the form of text. Sentiment analysis is needed to analyze opinions, sentiments, reviews, and criticisms from someone for a product, service, organization, topic, etc. Recurrent Neural Network (RNN) is one of the Natural Language Processing (NLP) algorithms that is used in sentiment analysis. RNN is a neural network that can use internal memory to process input. RNN itself has a weakness in Long-Term Memory (LTM). Therefore, this article examines the combination of Long-Short Term Memory (LSTM) and Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU) algorithms. GRU is an algorithm that is used to make each recurrent unit able to record adaptively at different time scales. Meanwhile, LSTM is a network architecture with the advantage of learning long-term dependencies on data. LSTM can remember long-term memory information, learn long-sequential data, and form information relation data in LTM. The combination of LSTM and GRU aims to overcome RNN’s weakness in LTM. The LSTM-GRU is combined by adding GRU to the data generated from LSTM. The combination of LSTM and GRU creates a better performance algorithm for addressing the LTM problem.

Abstract

Susceptible-Infected-Removed (SIR) model is a widely used epidemic model that simulates the spread of infectious diseases within a population. It classifies individuals into susceptible, infected, and removed states, with the number of individuals in each state being time-dependent variables denoted by S(t), I(t), and R(t), respectively. The model considers direct contact transmission between infected and susceptible individuals. In developed countries, some people cannot afford medical treatment. In contrary, the recovery rate of infected individual in the population is directly proportional to the number of people receiving medical treatment. Affordable health insurance increases the number of people receiving medical treatment thus insurance should be considered aspect in epidemic model. The main purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of insurance on the SIR epidemic model. This research classifies individuals in both S(t) and I(t) based on their insurance coverage status. This model assumes permanent immunity for R(t), thus it is unnecessary to classify individuals in this state based on their insurance coverage status because they do not spread the disease nor have potential to be re-infected. Numerical simulation is organized to find the effect of insurance in SIR model by analyzing the equilibrium point. The result based on the equilibrium point suggests that the insurance in SIR epidemic model: (1) decrease the I(t) because it accelerate the recovery rate; (2) decrease theR(t) because there is less infected people for recovery; (3) increase the S(t) because there is less infected people to transmit the disease, compared to the SIR model without the insurance.

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology causes internet users to increase, so consumers are increasingly accustomed to buying products through online channels. This can encourage business people to carry out a sales strategy using two channels (offline and online) or commonly called Dual-Channel Supply Chain (DCSC). In its application, it is hoped that business people will create an environmentally friendly company to reduce carbon emissions. Therefore, business people create companies that implement the Green Dual-Channel Supply Chain (GDCSC) model. GDCSC in online channels has one drawback, namely that consumers cannot evaluate products accurately. This allows consumers to obtain defective products resulting in product returns. Returned defective products can be reprocessed through the remanufacturing process. To provide solutions to these conditions, centralization scenario is used to determine the optimal solution so that maximum profit is obtained. Based on the analysis, it shows that changes in price elasticity and product returns cause system profits to get smaller, while changes in price elasticity and energy efficiency levels cause system profits to get bigger.

Abstract

The development of the era encourages advances in communication and information technology. This resulted in the exchange of information being faster because it is connected to the internet. One platform that provides online news articles is Cabel News Network (CNN), which has been broadcasting news on its website since 1995. The number of Cabel News Network news articles continues to increase, so news articles are categorized to make it easier for readers to find articles according to the category they want. Classification is a technique for determining the class of an object based on its characteristics, where the class label is known beforehand. One of the algorithms for classification is adaptive boosting (AdaBoost). The AdaBoost algorithm performs classification by building several weighted decision trees (stumps), then the class determination is based on the number of stumps with the highest weight. The AdaBoost algorithm can be combined with parameter tuning to avoid overfitting or underfitting resulting from a weak set of stumps. Therefore, this study implements the AdaBoost algorithm with parameter tuning on CNN news article classification. The data used in this study is CNN news article data from 2011 to 2022 sourced from the Kaggle page. The data is categorized into six classes, namely business, entertainment, health, news, politics, and sports. This study uses two evaluation metrics, namely the accuracy value and the confusion matrix to measure the performance of the AdaBoost algorithm. The accuracy value obtained is 0,78763, the precision value is 0.91, the recall value is 0.85, and the F1 score value is 0.88.

Abstract

Every governmental organization needs a data and information source, and one such source is an archive. The Serang Vocational and Productivity Training Center (BBPVP) functions as a technical implementation unit under the Directorate General of Vocational and Productivity Training Development within the Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia. During activities at the Serang Vocational and Productivity Training Center (BBPVP), information sources in archives were utilized; however, issues arise regarding the management of borrowed archives that have not been effectively organized. This mismanagement increases the risk of archives being lost as they are not returned after borrowing, particularly for older archives, which are also at risk of damage due to improper storage locations in the documents. Storage or because of calamities like floods and fires. The methodology employed in the data processing system involves methods of data collection, including literature review, observation, and interviews. This application is developed utilizing UML modeling, or Unified Modeling Language. The approach adopted in creating this application is the waterfall model, which follows a series of phases beginning with requirements analysis, followed by system design, implementation, integration and testing, and finally operation and maintenance.
