Abstract

The Independent Curriculum was inaugurated by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) in February 2022. It was determined that there are several things that must be prepared before learning, after that implementing independent curriculum learning, implementing learning differentiation and assessment. This research aims to determine and describe the planning, implementation and evaluation in implementing the Independent Curriculum in Indonesian language subjects at Muhammadiyah Rappang Middle School. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods with data collection techniques, namely observation techniques, interview techniques and documentation techniques. The data analysis technique used in this research is a qualitative data analysis technique with stages of data reduction analysis, data presentation, and drawing up conclusions. The research results show that the implementation of their curriculum in terms of learning planning, learning implementation, and learning evaluation in Indonesian language subjects at Muhammadiyah Rappang Middle School has been implemented well and sustainably. However, there are still obstacles in every challenge faced by research objects in implementing Indonesian language learning based on an independent curriculum, such as limited teaching facilities, limited infrastructure and internet access for students, difficulties adapting to the different characteristics and dialects of students who are already inherent, limitations a time when learning was project-based, limited experience and references to differentiated learning models, and initial assessment paradigms that were not yet appropriate.

Abstract

Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara, berpikir kritis, dan berdaya analitis para siswa melalui teknik debat dan meningkatkan kemampuan para siswa dalam menggunakan bahasa yang baik dan benar melalui praktik debat di SMKN 2 Sidenreng Rappang. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini dilakukan dalam bentuk kegiatan pelatihan. Adapun teknis pelaksaanaan pelatihan yakni sebelum pelatihan ini dilaksanakan, terlebih dahulu mahasiswa mengambil data proses belajar mengajar di SMKN 2 Sidenreng Rappang melalui kegiatan PLP (Pengenalan Lingkungan Persekolahan), dan ditemukan bahwa beberapa siswa tidak aktif berbicara di dalam kelas. Karena alasan itu dan berdasarkan ilmu pengetahuan serta pengalaman praktis yang dimiliki tim Pengabdian Masyarakat Universitas Muhammadiyah Sidenreng Rappang dalam debat maka pelatihan ini diadakan, sebagai harapan siswa di SMKN 2 Sidenereng Rappang dapat meningkatkan kemapuan berbicaranya dan menumbuhkan kepercayaan diri siswa dalam berbicara. Peserta yang mengikuti pelatihan ini sebanyak 15 orang. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di SMKN 2 Sidenreng Rappang dalam waktu 1 hari. Selanjutnya, pelatihan keterampilan debat ini akan menerapkan pelatihan aktif, yakni seluruh peserta turut belajar melalui pengalamannya sehingga tujuan yang telah direncanakan dapat diperoleh secara optimal. Pelatihan ini akan menggunakan pendekatan praktik melalui pelatihan terbimbing. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini adalah ceramah, tanya jawab, diskusi, dan demonstrasi.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Canva-based learning media in improving the learning outcomes of Grade X Agribusiness Crops students at SMKN 3 Sidenreng Rappang in the subject of Vocational Basics. The research method used is an experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The instruments used have passed both validity and reliability tests. The results of the study show a significant improvement in students’ learning outcomes after using Canva media in the learning process, with an average pretest score of 50.36 and a posttest score of 93.73. The T-test results show a sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 < 0.05. Thus, the use of the Canva application is effective in improving students' learning outcomes in vocational basic material. Canva has also been proven to qualitatively increase students' motivation and engagement during the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using greenhouses as a learning medium on students' skills in the horticulture subject. The type of research used is pre-experimental with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The subjects of this study were all Grade X Agribusiness Crops students at SMKN 3 Sidenreng Rappang, totaling 11 students. Data were obtained through an observation checklist used before and after the treatment. The results showed a significant improvement in students' skills after learning using the greenhouse. The average score before the learning activity was 3.11, which increased to 4.81 after the learning, with a mean difference of 1.70 points. These results indicate that the use of greenhouses as a learning medium is effective in improving students' skills in horticultural cultivation.

Abstract

Riset ini ditujukan untuk mengevaluasi sejauh mana media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis Canva dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dalam mata pelajaran Dasar-dasar Kejuruan di kelas X APHP UPT SMK Negeri 8 Pinrang. Riset ini dilatarbelakangi oleh urgensi inovasi dalam dunia pendidikan guna meningkatkan keterlibatan serta pemahaman siswa. Dengan mengaplikasikan pendekatan eksperimental dalam desain one-group pretest-posttest, dengan menggunakan instrumen berupa tes (pretest dan posttest). Riset ini menyertakan 18 peserta didik yang dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik total sampling. Data diperoleh melalui tes sebelum serta sesudah pembelajaran, kemudian dianalisis dengan memanfaatkan uji t-berpasangan. Hasil riset mengindikasikan terdapat kenaikan yang berarti dalam prestasi belajar peserta didik setelah implementasi Canva sebagai media pembelajaran. Rata-rata skor pretest sebesar 52,78 meningkat menjadi 74,89 pada posttest, mencerminkan kenaikan sebesar 22,11 poin. Analisis hipotesis melalui Paired Sample T-Test menunjukkan nilai t-hitung sebesar 12,030 pada taraf signifikansi 0,000, yang lebih rendah 0,05. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwasanya penggunaan media interaktif berbasis Canva berkontribusi positif terhadap tingkat pemahaman siswa terhadap bahan ajar. Sebagai kesimpulan, integrasi Canva sebagai alat pembelajaran interaktif memberikan dampak positif terhadap capaian akademik siswa. Hasil riset ini bisa menjadi referensi untuk tenaga pendidik dalam merencanakan metode pengajaran yang menarik serta inovatif.

Abstract

Vocational education plays a strategic role in preparing human resources who are both technically competent and strong in character. This study aims to analyze the implementation of school culture and vocational learning practices at SMK Negeri 5 Sidrap, as well as to identify supporting and inhibiting factors affecting learning effectiveness. Employing an educational ethnography approach, data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles & Huberman model through data condensation, display, and verification stages. The results indicate that a school culture rooted in religious values and discipline successfully shapes students’ character, although its implementation remains uneven across classes. Learning practices integrate student-centered approaches with digital technology use but face constraints such as limited practice equipment ratios and student ability heterogeneity resulting from the zoning policy. Teachers’ adaptive efforts through differentiated instruction, peer tutoring, and personal mentoring help reduce learning disparities. This study highlights the importance of synergy among school culture, pedagogical innovation, and transformative leadership to realize vocational education that produces not only technically skilled graduates but also individuals with strong character and readiness for the global workforce.

Abstract

This research comprehensively delineates the school culture at SMA Negeri 6 Sidrap, focusing on the school's vision and mission, physical and non-physical environment, facilities, the condition of teachers and students, and an introduction to the learning process. The school's vision emphasizes achievement, faith, culture, character, broad insights, and environmental awareness. Its mission includes active, creative, and innovative learning, the practice of religious teachings, and participation in environmental preservation. SMA Negeri 6 Sidrap boasts facilities encompassing classrooms, a library, computer laboratories, guidance and counseling rooms (BK), as well as other facilities such as the health unit (UKS), cooperative, student council room (OSIS), and administrative room (TU). The library's quality is marked by an adequate book collection, with ongoing efforts to enhance it. The computer laboratories are well- equipped, including WiFi and air conditioning. The condition of teachers at SMA Negeri 6 Sidrap includes the number of permanent teachers, honorary teachers, and administrative staff. Ratios of teachers to students and administrative staff to students are also outlined. Student admissions are conducted through zoning, achievements, and affirmative action. Observations in English, Indonesian language, and Infomatics classes reveal diverse teaching strategies, the use of technology, and positive interactions between teachers and students. Teachers are active in creating a conducive learning environment and providing appropriate feedback. This research also depicts activities inside and outside the classroom, patterns of student behavior, teaching and learning interactions, classroom management, as well as the role and activities of Guidance and Counseling (BK) in assisting students. This study presents a comprehensive overview of the school culture at SMA Negeri 6 Sidrap, providing valuable insights for the development of education in similar schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze children's language development by providing stimulus in the form of storytelling. This research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The focus of this research is children's language development using the storytelling method in Group B students of Aisyiyah 1 Baranti Kindergarten. The data in this study are all vocabulary spoken by children. The data source is group B children at Aisyiyah 1 Baranti Kindergarten, totaling 19 children. The data collection techniques were observation, interview, and documentation. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results showed that children's vocabulary developed with each stimulus given. The stimulus given plays a big role in the development of children's vocabulary. However, the selection of themes in the storytelling method determines the results of the development of children's vocabulary. The data obtained in this study are 5,769 nouns, 2,722 verbs, 1,034 adjectives, 343 adverbs, 971 numeralia, 302 task words, and 330. So the total vocabulary spoken by children is 11,480.

Abstract

This study examines the role of parents in the language acquisition of a three-year-old child as a crucial phase in cognitive and communicative development. The research aims to analyze the forms of parental involvement and their impact on children’s language acquisition within the family environment. This study employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The subjects consist of two parents who have a three-year-old child. Data were collected through in-depth interviews focusing on communication patterns, language stimulation, parental responses to children’s utterances, language modeling, and the emotional environment within the family. Data were analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques. The findings reveal that parental roles are manifested through intensive and two-way communication, consistent and contextual language stimulation, positive and non-judgmental responses, and appropriate language modeling. A supportive emotional environment further strengthens the child’s language acquisition process. The impact of these roles is reflected in the child’s expanded and contextual vocabulary, the ability to construct simple yet structured sentences, the capacity to understand complex instructions, and increased confidence in communication. The involvement of both parents also provides varied linguistic input that enriches the child’s language experience. These findings highlight that consistent interaction, quality language stimulation, and emotional support within the family are key factors in successful early childhood language acquisition. Future research is recommended to involve a larger number of participants and consider broader socio-cultural factors.
