Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the implementation of assistance from ViiV Healthcare to the Sadar Hati Foundation Malang in implementing the Harm Reduction program. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method, and interviews with related parties. International relations continue to experience developments along with changing times, especially as a result of globalization, which has had significant impacts or changes in international relations that have crossed national jurisdictional boundaries, because various dynamics always appear in every implementation. One of the crucial dynamics is the emergence of various problems both at the regional and global levels. One of the problems that is currently a global focus is the abuse of narcotics that are not for medical needs. Narcotics can be said to be dangerous when the use of narcotics has exceeded the consumption limit so this can also cause various impacts that become a threat to human life so it requires efforts to achieve human security. In this writing, the author analyzes using the concept of human security. With the implementation of the assistance provided by ViiV Healthcare to the Sadar Hati Foundation, which is a grant to run the program, one of which is harm reduction, in which the Foundation provides education, outreach, assistance to treatment by providing facilities to support the sustainability of the program.

Abstract

This research was conducted to look at the human security disaster management of the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia which is indexed by Scopus. Referring to the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) statement regarding human security, there are seven areas, namely: Regarding the health security sector, the environmental security sector, the food security sector, the economic security sector, the individual security sector, the community security sector, and the political security sector. Of the seven areas, one of them is the problem of health resilience, and the Covid-19 Pandemic is included in the category of health security. UNDP defines health insurance as protection from disease and unhealthy lifestyles, which threaten inadequate health services, new and recurring diseases including epidemics, and pandemics, malnutrition, and unsafe lifestyles. Until this article was written, there has been no research that has seen that the Covid-19 Pandemic is part of a human security disaster, which is more specifically included in the health security category. In this study, data was taken online through the Scopus database which was then analyzed using the VOSviewer bibliometric visualization. The findings in this study are that the human security disaster during the Covid-19 pandemic is a problem in the field of human health security which is included in the human security category according to UNDP. Until now there has not been much research conducted by academics and researchers from Indonesia, because they only found 25 article documents

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus poses a growing global health concern, particularly in low- and middle-income countries where early detection remains limited, demanding classification models that balance accuracy, interpretability, and adaptability to heterogeneous clinical data. This study proposes and evaluates the Adaptive Kernel Probability Model (AKPM), a novel nonparametric probabilistic classifier designed to enhance diabetes prediction by performing localized kernel density estimation with adaptive bandwidth selection via k-nearest neighbors. Implemented and tested on the Pima Indians Diabetes Dataset, AKPM outperformed conventional classifiers—Naïve Bayes and Gaussian Mixture Models (GMM)—across all evaluation metrics, achieving 87.5% accuracy, 83.3% precision, 76.9% recall, and an F1-score of 80.0% for the diabetic class, alongside 89.3% precision and 92.6% recall for the normal class. These results surpassed GMM (83.0% accuracy, 71.6% F1-score) and Naïve Bayes (80.0% accuracy, 66.6% F1-score), confirming AKPM’s superior capability to detect diabetic cases while minimizing false negatives. Offering transparent posterior inference and a modular design, AKPM emerges as a reliable and interpretable solution for clinical decision support systems and real-world healthcare applications.
