Abstract

This study aims to see the effect of giving noni extract (Morinda citrifolia L.) on the quality of spermatozoa of mice (Mus musculus L.). This study was conducted using an experimental method, with a completely randomized design (RAL), 3 treatments with 5 replicates with 15 male mice divided into three treatment groups, namely the control group (P0), the treatment group with a concentration of 0.3 g/BW (P1), and the treatment group with a concentration of 0.6 g/BW (P2) which then the data were analyzed using ANOVA. This research was conducted from March 2 to April 4, 2023. Observations of the effect of giving noni extract were made by making wet preparations of mice sperm and then observing under a microscope. Based on the research conducted, it was found that noni extract had a different effect from each concentration on motility and morphology in sperm. From the research, it can be concluded that the higher the concentration of noni extract given to mice will reduce the quality of sperm in mice However, at a concentration of 0.3 g/BB, it was found that noni had a positive effect on sperm morphology and motility in mice (Mus musculus L).

Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) is a global issue that is a priority in both Indonesia and Malaysia. Since being designated by WHO at 1993 as a global public health threat, Tuberculosis (TB) has become one of the top 10 leading causes of death worldwide. Recently, the number of Tuberculosis (TB) patients in Indonesia has increased, especially paediatric TB cases. In addition, Tuberculosis (TB) cases also increased in Malaysia. For the West Sumatra region, the highest number of TB patients is in Padang City. Since Tuberculosis (TB) is a disease that can affect anyone including children, the school environment as one of the places where children gather and interact has the opportunity to be a place for the spread of TB cases as well as having an important role in preventing TB transmission. However, in reality, the role of schools in early prevention efforts related to Tuberculosis (TB) disease in children, especially elementary school students, is still not optimal. In line with this, Tuberculosis (TB) disease is closely related to the human respiratory system which is one of the topics discussed in the human anatomy and physiology course in the MBKM activity between the Department of Biology FMIPA UNP and the Department of Biology UPSI. Therefore, it is necessary to make preventive efforts in the form of Tuberculosis prevention education. The results of community service are that several stages of community service activities have been carried out regarding Tuberculosis (TB) prevention education for elementary school students, namely the students involved are enthusiastic about the activities held, then pre-service biology teacher are also actively engaged in preparing and carrying out this activity and students' knowledge related to general knowledge, symptoms, their relationship with the respiratory system and prevention efforts are classified as good.

Abstract

Hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik pada materi sistem imun di MAN 3 Kota Padang terlihat rendah karena selama proses pembelajaran guru kurang menggunakan sumber belajar yang bervariasi. Salah satu cara yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik yaitu dengan menggunakan sumber belajar booklet. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan booklet sistem imun terhadap hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik kelas XI MAN 3 Kota Padang. Penelitian eksperimen semu (Quasi Eksperimen Research) ini menggunakan rancangan Posttest Only Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI MAN 3 Kota Padang yang terdaftar pada Tahun Ajaran 2023/2024. Sampel diambil dengan teknik Cluster Random Sampling, sehingga terpilih kelas XI IPA 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI IPA 3 sebagai kelas kontrol. Data pada penelitian ini meliputi hasil belajar peserta didik pada ranah kognitif. Instrumen penilaian berupa tes pilihan ganda. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan Uji Normalitas, Uji Homogenitas dan Uji t. Hasil penelitian pada ranah kognitif diperoleh rata-rata kelas eksperimen sebesar 72,22 lebih tinggi dari pada kelas kontrol dengan rata-rata 65,02. Hipotesis diuji melalui uji statistik t, didapatkan nilai Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,028. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwasanya terdapat pengaruh penggunaan Booklet Sistem Imun terhadap Hasil Belajar Peserta Didik Kelas XI MAN 3 Kota Padang. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model problem based learning terintegrasi etnosains terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik fase E pada materi ekosistem di SMAN 2 Bukittinggi. Pembelajaran di sekolah beradaptasi sesuai dengan perkembangan zaman, dimana peserta didik dapat mengembangkan keterampilan abad ke-21, salah satunya keterampilan berpikir kritis yang harus dikuasai oleh peserta didik. Penerapan model pembelajaran dapat menstimulasi perkembangan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik dengan menerapkan model problem based learning terintegrasi etnosains. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan rancangan randomized control group pretest-posttest design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah peserta didik fase E. Sampel penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas X.E4 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan X.E3 sebagai kelas kontrol. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan soal tes dalam bentuk pilihan ganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik di kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol. Hal ini diketahui dari nilai rata-rata pretest pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 48,62, kelas kontrol sebesar 47,14 dan posttest pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 79,60, kelas kontrol sebesar 61,00. Analisis data menggunakan paired sample t-test menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikan (2-tailed) 0,000 < 0,05. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model problem based learning terintegrasi etnosains berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik fase E di SMAN 2 Bukittinggi. Abstract

Education is a deliberate and unintentional effort to facilitate students in realizing their abilities to become professionals. The application of the learning process with the right techniques will achieve educational goals. Learning media can help the learning process to make it easier for educators to convey information. Learning media that are in accordance with the needs of learning activities will create effective and efficient learning activities. Developing booklets can be one of the effective and efficient learning media to attract students' interest and motivation in the learning process. Booklets contain pictures, outlines or interesting data that can support students' understanding who may interpret the material introduced by the teacher. The purpose of this literature review is to determine the effectiveness or feasibility of booklets that can be used in the learning process. The literature review includes 10 articles published in 2017-2023 that meet the criteria for research objectives. The results of the study show that booklets that can be used in the learning process are booklets that have valid or very valid criteria. Thus, the booklet can attract interest and motivation and understanding of students in the learning process

Abstract

Biology as part of science emphasizes learning that involves students directly through learning experiences that include science process skills. Based on the results of a preliminary study of the science process skills of phase E students at SMAN 1 Padang, it was obtained that the science process skills of students were still relatively low. This study aims to determine the effect of the project-based inquiry learning model on the science process skills of phase E students at SMAN 1 Padang. This type of research is a quasi-experimental study with a pretest-posttest control group design. The instrument used to measure students' science process skills is in the form of multiple choice questions. The sample class selected uses a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis using the paired sample test obtained significant results (0.000) <α value (0.05) so that it can be concluded that the project-based inquiry learning model has a positive effect on the science process skills of phase E students at SMAN 1 Padang.

Abstract

Implementation of the learning process is a way to achieve educational goals. Learning media can support the learning process and function as well as possible. Student Worksheets are one type of effective learning resource. Designing LKPD using the Prolem Based Learning (PBL) model integrated into it is one way to inspire students to be actively involved in biology learning. The LKPD produced with an emphasis on problem solving is a LKPD that can be used in learning. Through a study of various journal papers that are related to each other and published between 2016 and 2024, this research uses descriptive research in the form of a literature review. Referenced papers are published in Indonesian and English and can be found in a number of media databases, including Google Scholar and Science Direct. PBL integrated worksheet has an impact on the teaching and learning process, according to the findings of the article review, because it helps students become aware of the dangers of the environment around them. Considering that integrated problem based learning (PBL) LKPD can improve students' critical thinking, it can be said to be suitable for use in biology learning in the classroom.

Abstract

The implementation of inclusive education has many roles contained in it. Each role supports each other in order to create inclusive education for students. This research aims to find out how implementation of inclusive education in inclusive junior high school level in Padang City. Type of research carried out qualitative descriptive, with data collection techniques through direct interviews with Special Assistant Teachers (GPK) and supported by data obtained during field observations. Based on research that has been carried out, it was found that there are 4 types of Children with Special Needs (ABK) at this school for the 2022/2023 academic year, including blind, low vision, learning difficulties, and autism. This junior high school uses the regular (national) curriculum, namely the 2013 curriculum and the Independent Curriculum which has not been modified according to the needs and characteristics of students with special needs. In its implementation at this school there is an Individual Learning Program (PPI). Apart from that, this school also has a Special Assistant Teacher (GPK) in the learning process. The assessment techniques used are the same between ABK and regular students. In terms of School facilities and infrastructure already exist but are not yet optimal. Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the implementation of inclusive education in Padang City, one of which is SMAN 7 Padang City. The research method uses qualitative research methods descriptive. The data collection technique was carried out by observation and interviews with resource persons, namely selected educators/counseling teachers teknik sampling purposive. The research results obtained are that the implementation created in inclusive education at SMAN 7 Padang City is running as it should, the school has succeeded in implementing inclusive education for children with special needs. Acceptance of children with special needs at SMAN 7 Padang City, namely ABK with disabilities and specific learning difficulties. ABK is accompanied by a special educator from the BK teacher. However, the GPK at SMAN 7 Padang City is not an expert educator from special education. The GPK at SMAN 7 Padang City is a teacher who has participated in an inclusive education training program and an internship at one of the State Special Schools in Padang City. Abstract

The purpose of this research to produce a guided inquiry oriented book of biology experiments for junior high school students that valid and practice. This research used Plomp model with preliminary research, development or prototyping, and assessment phases. Data analyzed through descriptive. The instruments used in this study were validation and practicality questionnaires. The product validated by 2 biology lecturers and a science teacher, while for practicality was done by a science teacher and 30 junior high school students at one junior highschool in Padang, Indonesia. Based on the results of the study obtained the validity of 3.40 with very valid, experiment by teachers 3.35 very practical and the practicality by students 3.73 with very practical.
