Abstract

Digital literacy equips prospective teachers with essential information and communication technology (ICT) skills, while interpersonal communication enables them to interact effectively with students and the community. However, the impact of these skills on the readiness of prospective teachers, especially in the Automotive Engineering Education Study Program, has not been widely studied. This study attempts to examine how digital literacy influences students' readiness to become teachers in this study program. A quantitative approach was used in this study, the data collection process used the help of an online questionnaire with a population of 2019 and 2020 PTO students with a sample determined by the Slovin method of 62 students. The results showed an R2 value of 0.389, which means 38.9% of the variance in teacher readiness can be explained by digital literacy. In addition, a positive correlation (R = 0.623) is shown in the relationship between variables. Meanwhile, the coefficient B of digital literacy is 0.373. This indicates that as the digital literacy and interpersonal communication skills of PTO students of Semarang State University increase, their readiness to become teachers also increases. The conclusion from this study is that digital literacy and interpersonal communication have a significant effect on the readiness of prospective teachers of PTO students of Semarang State University.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi bagaimana berbagai pendekatan pembelajaran mempengaruhi hasil belajar siswa dalam pendidikan otomotif. Penelitian ini  merupakan meta analisis. Data dikumpul dari google scholar dan semantic scholar yang dicari bulan Oktober 2024. Kata kunci menggunakan Bahasa Indonesia dengan kombinasi metode pembelajaran Demonstrasi, Kooperatif, Problem-based Learning, Team Quiz, Group Resume, Inkuiri dan Active Knowledge Sharing dengan hasil belajar siswa SMK Otomotif.. Data yang dimasukkan adalah g sebagai Effect Size dan SEg sebagai Standar Error untuk menghasilkan forest plot yang didalamnya terdapat interval nilai untuk setiap penelitian dan kesimpulan. Perhitungan heterogenitas dan bias publikasi juga diidentifikasi hasil analisisnya. Ada 15 manuskrip yang digunakan untuk dianalisis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dengan effect size sebesar 1,601, terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara metode pembelajaran dan hasil belajar. Hasil belajar siswa telah terbukti meningkat secara signifikan dengan metode demonstrasi, kooperatif, problem-based learning, inkuiri, group resume, dan active knowledge sharing. Selain itu, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa variabel wilayah dan jenis publikasi tidak berkontribusi secara signifikan terhadap perbedaan hasil belajar. Pada hasil analisis menggunakan model Random Effect menunjukkan bahwa wilayah Jawa = 2.403, 95%CI[-2632, 7.437], Sulawesi=0.254, 95%CI[-5.687,6.195] dan wilayah Sumatera = -1.876, 95%CI [-7.306, 3.554] tidak signifikan karena semua nilai p > 0.05. Hasil analisis heterogenitas menunjukkan tingkat variasi yang signifikan. Hasil analisis menggunakan model random effect menunjukkan bahwa beberapa metode seperti Demonstrasi = -5.361, 95%CI[-8.516, -2.205], Kooperatif = -5.350, 95%CI[-8.793, -1.907], Problem-Based Learning = -5.450, 95%CI[-8.896, -2.004], Team Quiz = 0.188, 95%CI[-4.727, 5.103], Group Resume = -5.140, 95%CI[-9.973, -0.307], Active Knowledge Sharing = -5.716, 95%CI[-10.545, -0.887], Inkuiri = -6.911, 95%CI[-11.538, -2.285]. Urutan metode pembelajaran yang signifikan  mempengaruhi hasil belajar, yaitu demonstrasi, kooperatif, problem-based learning, group resume, inkuiri dan active knowledge sharing, sedangkan metode team quiz yang tidak signifikan karena nilai p > 0.05.

Abstract

Kurangnya evaluasi komprehensif pengaruh media pembelajaran terhadap hasil belajar siswa SMK otomotif memotivasi penelitian ini. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menelusuri tentang sejauh mana pengaruh media pembelajaran terhadap hasil belajar siswa SMK otomotif dan mendeteksi tingkat variasi antar studi dapat dianalisis dengan meta analisis.  Data dikumpulkan dari Google Scholar yang dicari bulan Oktober hingga November 2024 dengan memasukkan kata kunci yang telah ditentukan. Setelah itu dilakukan proses tahapan PRISMA (Preffered Reporing Item for Systematic Review and Meta Analysis). Sesuai kriteria inklusi, 31 manuskrip yang memenuhi kelayakan untuk dianalisis. Alat bantu analisis data tersebut dilakukan dengan menggunakan software JASP versi 0.19.0.0. Hasil penelitian ditemukan effect size menggunakan model Random Effect secara keseluruhan dari penerapan media pembelajaran terhadap hasil belajar siswa adalah 0.971. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa penerapan media pembelajaran terdapat pengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Analisis terhadap tiga variabel moderator digunakan untuk mempertimbangkan tingkat variasi studi. Variabel Jenis media pembelajaran Macromedia Flash [1,267, 95%CI (0.415, 2.118)], Animasi [1,144, 95%CI (0.144, 2.144)] dan Video [0,714, 95%CI (0.244, 1.185)] menunjukkan pengaruh signifikan. Variabel wilayah Sumatera [1.928, 95%CI (0.455, 3.401)], Sulawesi [1.053, 95%CI (0.202, 1.905)], dan Jawa [0.885, 95%CI (0.333, 1.436)] menunjukkan pengaruh signifikan, sedangkan Bali [0.649, 95%CI (-0.258, 1.555)] dan Kalimantan [0.149, 95%CI (-0.291, 0.589)] tidak signifikan. Variabel publikasi jurnal [0.961, 95%CI (0.512, 1.409)] dan repositori skripsi [1.043, 95%CI (0.070, 2.016)] menunjukkan pengaruh signifikan. Macromedia flash merupakan media pembelajaran paling mempegaruhi hasil belajar siswa SMK disusul oleh animasi dan video. Temuan ini menandakan bahwa media pembelajaran lebih efektif di terapkan di Sumatera, Sulawesi, dan Jawa dengan penelitian yang bersumber dari jurnal maupun skripsi memiliki pengaruh signifikan. Penelitian ini penting untuk memperkuat pengambilan keputusan berbasis data dalam penerapan media pembelajaran yang efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa otomotif.

Abstract

The utilization of Virtual Reality (VR) technology for educational purposes, namely in instructing Indonesian culture, particularly the Keris culture, holds significant importance. This is due mainly to the limited dissemination of knowledge on Keris and traditional weaponry inside educational institutions, as they are not currently incorporated into the curriculum. The Universitas Negeri Semarang and Politeknik Negeri Jakarta teams have developed interactive learning media focusing on virtual reality (VR) technology. The primary objective of the virtual reality (VR) application is to provide a comprehensive exploration of Keris culture, intending to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of Indonesia's rich cultural legacy among the younger generation, mainly elementary school pupils. The approach involves offering instructional sessions to students and educators, focusing on utilizing virtual reality (VR) technology as an educational instrument. Training activities were provided at Barusari 02 Elementary School in South Semarang. Considering technological accessibility is crucial to ensuring that all students can access educational materials without obstacles. The findings derived from administering pre- and post-assessments to primary school children indicate that Virtual Reality Technology has the potential to engender greater interest among pupils in acquainting themselves with Indonesian culture. Most participants, above 80%, expressed a strong positive inclination towards utilizing Virtual Reality (VR) Technology to acquire knowledge about various cultural aspects. By providing appropriate support and adopting a comprehensive approach, virtual reality (VR) has the potential to serve as an efficacious instrument for enhancing students' comprehension and admiration of Indonesian culture.

Abstract

Competence as a mastery possessed by a person needs to be improved with the right method. This study aims to develop a character-based learning method in the Computer Aided Design (CAD) course, improve learning outcomes and determine the increase in competence. The method used is an experiment, with a classroom action research approach. The learning process is managed with group management based on character suitability. The sample is students who take the CAD course. The results of the study showed that the character learning management model received very good criteria. This criterion is based on statements from students and lecturers. The results of the learning process can be concluded that learning grouping can be used to improve the competence of student learning outcomes in sketch material. This can be seen from the first reflection test of 40 students, 9 (22%) met the competency standard, reflection II 31 (78%) students met the standard and reflection III only 1 student did not meet it, in addition there was an increase in learning outcomes from a score of 66 to 80.

Abstract

The problem addressed in this study is the absence of digital technology-based learning resources that can accommodate the diverse learning styles of students in the TKRO (Light Vehicle Engineering) expertise program at SMK Texmaco Pemalang. The objective of this research is to develop a digital technology-based learning resource that accommodates students' diverse learning styles in the form of an interactive e-module on lighting systems based on differentiated instruction. Unlike previous e-modules, the developed interactive e-module integrates differentiated instruction in content delivery by utilizing various media in a flipbook format that is accessible through multiple digital devices. This study is categorized as research and development (R&D), employing the ADDIE development model. Data collection was conducted using a media assessment questionnaire with a four-point Likert scale, based on the Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture Number 22 of 2022. The research subjects consisted of media experts and content experts. The data analysis technique used in this study was media validity analysis by calculating the percentage of assessment results and comparing them with the validity criteria table to determine the level of validity of the developed interactive e-module. The study resulted in an interactive e-module on lighting systems based on differentiated instruction that can be used in the learning process. This conclusion is supported by the combined validity assessment score from media and content experts, which reached 75% and falls into the "valid" category according to the feasibility criteria table.

Abstract

The use of mobile devices in learning activities is becoming increasingly popular, especially with the presence of Android-based learning media. This study aims to develop Android-based learning media for motorcycle lighting system material, in order to improve the learning outcomes of class XI students at SMK Negeri 3 Tangerang Regency. The development was carried out using the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The resulting application was validated by three experts with results ranging from "feasible" to "very feasible", and tested on students in small groups to see student responses and large groups to see the feasibility and effectiveness of the media. The test results showed very positive student responses (94.40%) and a significant increase in learning outcomes, with an average N-Gain of 0.71 or 71.64% in the "quite effective" category. This media is equipped with simulation features, interactive evaluations, and attractive and easy-to-use designs. This study concludes that Android-based learning media is not only feasible to use in the learning process, but is also able to increase student motivation and understanding in a more enjoyable and contextual way.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a pocket book Greening Education as an educational media that supports increasing awareness and implementing environmentally friendly practices at SMK Negeri 1 Puring. This book is compiled based on three main pillars proposed by UNESCO, namely Greening School, Greening Curriculum, and Greening Teacher. The research method used is the 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate), but this study is limited to the development stage due to time and scope limitations. Product validation was carried out by two experts, each from the media and material fields. The validation results showed that the pocket book was included in the feasible category, with an average score of 77.5 from media experts and 70.8 from material experts. Input from the validator, especially highlighted the need for improvements to the cover design and the suitability of the images to the content of the material. Thus, this pocket book is considered to be able to be used as a means of education as well as a promotional media in supporting the Adiwiyata School program and the implementation of Greening Education in the SMK environment. It is hoped that the use of this book can strengthen the integration of sustainability values ​​in the learning process, as well as form a school culture that cares about the environment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the correlation between curriculum implementation and learning outcomes of Vocational High School (SMK) students in Indonesia through a meta-analysis approach. Meta-analysis was conducted on 50 relevant studies obtained from various National Journals using keywords, such as "Independent Curriculum", "2013 Curriculum", and "SMK Student Learning Outcomes". Data analysis was conducted using JASP software to calculate effect size and standard error. The results of the analysis showed a significant positive correlation between curriculum implementation and SMK student learning outcomes with an average correlation coefficient (rRE) of 0.810 which is classified as high. However, further analysis based on field of expertise and type of curriculum did not show statistically significant differences. Heterogeneity analysis revealed high variability between studies (I² = 88.66%). However, based on the funnel plot and regression tests, there was no strong indication of publication bias. This finding confirms the importance of the role of the curriculum in improving SMK student learning outcomes. Therefore, it is advisable to conduct further exploration of other variables that have the potential to influence student learning achievement.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of various learning models on the learning outcomes of Automotive Vocational High School students through a quantitative meta-analysis approach. Secondary data were obtained from Google Scholar and Garuda using keywords such as "influence of learning models" and "SMK learning outcomes." Of the 75 initial studies, 19 articles met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed using JASP software. Heterogeneity tests showed that the data were heterogeneous (Q=662.658; p<0.001), so the Random Effect model was used. The results showed that the learning model had a significant positive effect on learning outcomes, with a combined effect size of 1.724 (p=0.041). Analysis based on region showed no significant differences, while based on model type, most models such as Discovery Learning and Cooperative significantly decreased effectiveness compared to baseline conditions, except for Project-Based Learning which did not show a significant effect. Although there were indications of publication bias in the funnel plot, the results of the regression and correlation tests did not support consistent asymmetry. These findings indicate that the use of active learning models contributes positively to improving the learning outcomes of Automotive Vocational High School students.
