Abstract

A reaction stability test of hexavalent chromium complex with 1,5-diphenyl carbazide in analysis using a UV Visible Spectrophotometer has been done in this study. This study aims to find out the colored complex stability for the reaction of chromium hexavalent and diphenyl carbazide in the analysis of hexavalent chromium using a UV Vis spectrophotometer in terms of time. The sample was measured in 540 nm of wavelength with 10, 30, 60, 90, 120, and 180-minute time intervals. Each interval was carried out with two times replications. There were no significant differences in the colored complex until the 180-minute time interval, and the measurement of Cr(VI) concentration showed similar results. This analysis exhibits a level of precision and accuracy, evident from the RPD values below 10 % and the recovery values falling within the range of 90 – 110 %. It means that the reaction of hexavalent chromium complex with 1,5-diphenyl carbazide in analysis using a UV Visible Spectrophotometer is stable.

Abstract

Verification of measurement method for determination of melting temperature and enthalpy changes using Differential Scanning Calorimeter has been carried out. This study was done to ensure that the method used can be applied in the laboratory with valid results and uncertainty. The verification method in this research consists of accuracy and precision. Accuracy was done by comparing measurement results with reference values using the t-student test. Precision can be seen in its repeatability and reproducibility. In this study, method verification of melting temperature measurement was carried out by thermal analysis using Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC) based on ISO 11357-3: 2018 method concerning determining temperature and enthalpy changes in melting and crystallization. The results showed that the method used to determine melting temperature and enthalpy changes (∆H) had met the repeatability and reproducibility requirements. The RSD (Relative Standard Deviation) value was less than 2%, and the accuracy met the acceptance requirements with a t-count smaller than the t-table in a 95% confidence level. It means that the results are not significantly different from reference values, so the method can be used in the laboratory. Abstract

The problem of this research is the lack of maximum ability in petanque shooting accuracy. This study aims to examine whether there is an effect on training using cone barriers on petanque shooting accuracy. The method used is experimental with a quantitative approach, pre-experiment design one group pretest-posttest design. The entire population was used as a sample, namely 8 students of the Physical Education Study Program (JPOK) FKIP ULM. Sampling using total sampling technique. The instrument uses a shooting game station test distance of 6, 7, 8 and 9 meters. Data collection techniques using pretest and posttest. Data analysis techniques using descriptive statistics, normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis testing SPSS 23. The results obtained from data analysis and hypothesis testing through the average value have a significant increase from 10.38 to 15.63. Based on the results of the hypothesis test, the sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05, it can be said that Ho is rejected and Hα is accepted. The results of the calculation of the descriptive statistical values of the pretest and posttest so it can be concluded that there is an influence of training using cone barriers on Physical Education Study Program Students (JPOK) FKIP ULM in increasing the accuracy of shooting petanque.

Abstract

Background : Adolescent girls have a high risk of experiencing anemia, this is caused by loss of iron during menstruation. Adolescent girls have a higher risk of developing anemia than adolescent boys because adolescent girls experience menstruation every month and there is a desire to eat less so that the body lacks important nutrients such as iron. Pharmacological therapy for anemia by administering Fe supplements. However, administering drugs and supplements causes side effects so that people look for alternative treatments other than pharmacological therapy. One alternative to overcome anemia is by consuming dragon fruit. Objective : To analyze in a literature review the effect of dragon fruit on increasing hemoglobin levels in adolescent girls. Method : This research uses a systematic literature review method. Journal search via PUBMED, Google Scholar, Semantic Scholar and Science Direct databases. The journal used was 10 articles. Results : Based on a review of 10 articles, it can be concluded that dragon fruit has been proven to have an effect on increasing hemoglobin levels in young women.

Abstract

Mother's knowledge about immunization influences the provision of immunization to babies. If the mother's knowledge about immunization is lacking and the mother feels that she does not need immunization, this will affect the schedule, administration and completeness of immunizations for babies, which will have an impact on the emergence of disease in babies. This research uses quantitative methods with a retrospective approach. The population of this research is all female orphans who are in the Karangpandan Health Center Working Area for the period March 2024, namely 44 toddler’s mom with the sampling technique used Total Sampling. The instruments used were a maternal knowledge questionnaire about advanced immunizations and a KIA book to see the completeness of immunization status. The statical test using Chi Square test results show the Asymp value. Sig. (2-sided) 0.001 < 0.05, meaning that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, so there is a relationship between the mother's level of knowledge about Advanced Immunization and the Completeness Status of Advanced Immunization for Children Under 2 Years in Karangpandan Community Health Center Working Area.

Abstract

Introduction: The practice of Clean and Healthy Lifestyle Behavior (PHBS) among elementary school students still requires attention due to their limited understanding and skills in maintaining personal hygiene, which increases their health risks. Objective: The purpose of this community service was to provide PHBS education to grade IV students at SDN Petoran, Surakarta, using lecture, direct demonstration, and audiovisual media methods. Method: This public service was conducted by engaging 50 students, employing a combination of lectures, direct demonstrations, and audiovisual media to promote PHBS. A pretest and posttest evaluation was conducted to assess the impact of the intervention on the students' understanding and practices. Result: The evaluation results showed a significant improvement in the students' understanding and practices of PHBS, particularly in activities such as handwashing and tooth brushing, which they now perform independently. Paired t-test analysis supported these findings, confirming that the demonstration approach was effective in fostering sustainable healthy habits. Conclusion: This activity is expected to contribute to national efforts to raise health awareness in primary education settings and has the potential to provide long-term health benefits for children.

Abstract

Introduction: Caring for children with mild intellectual disabilities poses significant emotional and social challenges for mothers, often compounded by stigma and limited support. In Indonesia, spirituality and social support play a crucial role in strengthening resilience and framing caregiving as a moral responsibility. Objective: This study aims to explore how mothers perceive the care of children with mild intellectual disabilities and the coping strategies they employ to address physical, emotional, and social challenges. Method: A qualitative phenomenological approach was used, involving semi-structured in-depth interviews with 10 mothers. Data saturation was reached with the eighth participant, confirming no emergence of new significant information. Participants were selected through purposive sampling. Thematic analysis was conducted, complemented by source and theoretical triangulation to enhance the validity of findings. Results: Four key themes emerged from the analysis: (1) caregiving as an act of worship and moral responsibility, where mothers view their role as a life calling; (2) challenges in caregiving, including physical strain, emotional stress, and stigma-related pressures; (3) coping strategies that rely on social and spiritual support, with family and religious communities serving as key resources; and (4) the inadequacy of formal services, which often forces mothers to depend on community and faith-based organizations. Conclusion: This study highlights the need for community-based programs that address the emotional and spiritual needs of families with children with special needs. Effective collaboration between healthcare providers, community organizations, and religious leaders is crucial for developing inclusive and responsive services tailored to the needs of these families.
