Abstract

The use of online marketplaces is rapidly expanding in Indonesia, particularly within the fashion industry. To develop effective marketing strategies, it is essential to understand consumer behaviour through customer segmentation. With a deeper understanding of consumer behaviour, XYZ company, which is engaged in the fashion industry, can improve the effectiveness of marketing strategies and respond to consumer needs more accurately to achieve a significant increase in sales. This study aims to implement a customer segmentation model using clustering methods with machine learning algorithms, specifically K-Means and DBSCAN, following the CRISP-DM Data Mining Framework for data processing. The research utilizes purchasing transaction data from XYZ fashion industry, applying pre-processing techniques such as Standard Scaler and PCA before clustering. The K-Means and DBSCAN algorithms are implemented and evaluated using Silhouette Score and Davies-Bouldin Index matrices. Results show that the K-Means algorithm outperformed DBSCAN, achieving an optimal cluster number of k=7 with a Silhouette Score of 0.549 and a Davies-Bouldin Index of 0.593, compared to DBSCAN's Silhouette Score of 0.29 and Davies-Bouldin Index of 0.92. The final implementation involves creating a dashboard that automatically processes data and generates clusters to support customer segmentation decisions. The model was deployed through a simple website using FastAPI for backend Python execution and React with TypeScript for the front end. Future studies could address limitations by incorporating recent datasets to improve model accuracy, exploring alternative algorithms like Gaussian Mixture Models (GMM) for additional insights, and focusing on robust deployment strategies for real-world applications within the fashion industry.

Abstract

Used cooking oil is a household waste that can pollute the environment if disposed of improperly. In Mabar Village, Bangun Purba District, public awareness of waste oil management remains low. This community service program aims to provide environmental education for elementary school students by introducing the utilization of used cooking oil to produce candles. The program involved 21 students from grades 4–5. The methods included socialization on the dangers of used oil, hands-on candle-making practice, and evaluation using pre- and post-tests. The results show a significant improvement in students’ understanding, rising from 20% on the pre-test to 85% on the post-test. Furthermore, all participants successfully produced candles independently. This program effectively enhances children’s knowledge and environmental awareness.

Abstract

Prior research on stock market prediction has predominantly focused on algorithmic accuracy, leaving a significant research gap in the system-level realization required for real-world delivery. This paper addresses this disparity by presenting an end-to-end stock prediction delivery system that operationalizes trained machine learning models within a mobile-centric architecture. Unlike model-centric studies limited to offline evaluation, this work focuses on the rarity of system-level implementation. Market data are periodically ingested into a managed relational database, where predictions are generated using a fixed historical window and persisted for downstream access. A cross-platform mobile application serves as the primary user interface, providing structured access to historical prices, predictions, and accuracy metrics via backend APIs without local model inference. A key novelty is the implementation of an in-memory caching layer to optimize responsiveness for repeated mobile access. Experimental results demonstrate that this architecture significantly improves efficiency, reducing average API response times by approximately 94% from 817 ms to 48,7778 ms compared to direct database queries. These findings underscore the critical role of mobile-oriented system design in bridging the gap between predictive modeling and practical deployment, while also highlighting the importance of scalable infrastructure, efficient data synchronization, and reliable service integration for sustainable real-world financial technology applications.

Abstract

Sepsis is a collection of symptoms that occur as a result of an overreaction of the human immune response caused by microbes. Sepsis can progress to septic shock and if it persists accompanied by decreased immunity can cause death. Antibiotic therapy should be given as soon as the diagnosis, starting with empiric antibiotics which are then adjusted according to clinical response or culture results. This study aims to describe the use of antibiotics in RSUD X Jakarta, in adult sepsis cases. The research method is descriptive observational with consecutive sampling in accordance with the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data collection was obtained through medical records of patients diagnosed with sepsis. The results showed that the most patients sepsis were aged less than 60 years, there were 51%, men 53%, the length of stay was less than 10 days, 62% and 55% patients had no comorbidities. The focus of infection was mostly in the lungs 38%, patients who sampled the most monotherapy antibiotics were Ceftriaxone 51.1%, the most combination use was Levofloxacin and Meropenem 21.1%, and the longest duration of antibiotic use less than 7 days with Ceftriaxone 43 (53.75%). There were 64 people (64%) of these sepsis patients died. The study concluded that the focus of infection in sepsis patients was mostly in the lungs, men aged less than 60 years, without any comorbid disease, length of stay less than 10 days. The choice of antibiotic monotherapy for septic patients, given Ceftriaxone, for combination therapy given Levofloxacin and Meropenem antibiotics.

Abstract

While teaching the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is important, many schools struggle to keep students interested, often leading to boredom or confusion. This research evaluates a 2D visual novel, Liora Island, for enhancing engagement and reducing cognitive complexity when teaching the SDGs. Using a quantitative associative design and the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), five variables Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU), Perceived Usefulness (PU), Attitude Toward Using (ATU), Behavioral Intention (BI), and Actual Use (AU) were examined among 139 students at Mondial Senior High School, Batam. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Findings reveal high student acceptance across all TAM constructs. Perceived ease of use emerged as the primary driver of adoption, strongly influencing perceived usefulness and attitude. Attitude toward using significantly predicted behavioral intention, which in turn strongly determined actual use. Perceived usefulness showed smaller but significant effects on attitude and behavioral intention, indicating that usability outweighs instructional value during initial acceptance. This study contributes to sustainability pedagogy by identifying usability as key in reducing "sustainability fatigue." Practically, the results indicate that user friendly, narrative driven media are superior to traditional text heavy methods for communicating complex global challenges in secondary education.
