Abstract

The purpose of this Qur'anic Discourse Study is to analyze the verses of the surah Al-Ikhlas verse 1 to find the essence of God's esoteric dialogue to the Prophet Muhammad. This discourse study uses interpretation of Al-Mukhtasor fi Tafsir Al-Qur’anil Kariim. At-tashniif: Jama’atin min Ulama’it tafsir and translation of the Qur'an. This research uses the method of social constructionist discourse study approach, namely how the relationship between knowledge and social processes in understanding discourse studies are managed through social processes.

Abstract

This research discusses the central role of Tuan Guru in the social revolution movement of Sasak people against colonialism in Lombok island in the 19th century. This research was combined research (blended research) in qualitative research and used social movement theory as a collective action that offers change or resistance to bring about new life. The Sasak social revolution movement was motivated by the prolonged commonality of the fate suffered by the annexation of local and global colonialism-imperialism. The central role of Tuan Guru in the social revolution movement of Sasak people in the 19th century in Lombok began with the unification of social stratification between the ruling aristocratic group and the ruling non-aristocratic group, bound by a specific fraternity, the fraternal brotherhood (shufi brotherhood). The religious fraternity which transformed into tarekat communities in Lombok, especially Tarekat Naqsyabandiyah Congregation and Qadiriyah wa Naqsyabandiyah reconstructed themselves into a religio-political system in moving social revolution against colonialism which gave birth to rebellions and tyranny which contradicted Islamic doctrine in general and the teaching of tarekat in a religious way special.

Abstract

Retorika adalah seni berbahasa atau ilmu meyakinkan orang lain dengan menggunakan kata-kata secara efektif dalam berbicara atau menulis. Artikel ini membahas ayat-ayat al-Qur’an yang menggunakan gaya bahasa retoris. Retorika ayat-ayat ini mempengaruhi pikiran dan hati para pendengar dan pembaca al-Qur’an. Tujuan artikel ini adalah membahas aspek-aspek retorika ayat Al-Qur’an dan menganalisis kualitas makna yang dimilikinya. Artikel ini menggunakan metode kajian kepustakaan (Library Research) dengan pendekatan analisis induktif yang berfokus pada makna ayat yang memberikan tambahan makna retorika yang tak dapat ditiru. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa retorika al-Qur’an memiliki peran yang sangat vital dalam mengkaji dan mencermati makna ayat dalam al-Qur’an. Hal ini dimaksudkan untuk menyingkap kualitas makna kognitif retorika al-Qur’an yang merupakan sumber wacana kebahasaan. Melalui pemahaman retorika al-Qur’an, pembaca tidak hanya menggunakan sebagai seni memahami makna ayat al-Qur’an atau meyakinkan orang lain tetapi lebih dari itu sebagai ilmu logika bahasa, filsafat, hukum dan juga agama serta argumentasi ilmiah dalam berkomunikasi.

Abstract

This article delves deeply into the essence of the word 'Sāfār' from a Sufi perspective, utilizing the conceptual metaphor framework developed by George Lakoff. The research aims to uncover the philosophical and spiritual meanings contained within the word 'Sāfār' in the context of Sufi tradition, and how the use of conceptual metaphor can deepen our understanding of Sufi mystical journeys. Within Lakoff's "The Path Traversed-If Possible/Not Possible" conceptual framework, the article explores the dynamics between the Source Domain and the Target Domain in the metaphor of 'Sāfār'. This research applies George Lakoff's conceptual metaphor method to interpret the literal meaning of the word 'Sāfār' within the spiritual Sufi framework into a metaphorical meaning. To understand this phenomenon, the research is conducted through three stages: First, data collection, in which researchers gather literal words of 'Sāfār' from the texts of the Qur'an and Sufi manuscripts. Second, data analysis, in which researchers observe, analyze, and understand the literal meaning of the word 'Sāfār' in the Qur'anic texts, and connect it with metaphorical meanings. Third, data conclusion, where researchers understand and interpret the meaning from the source domain to the target domain of the metaphor of the word 'Sāfār' in the context of Sufi spiritual journey. Findings from this research indicate that a metaphorical understanding of the term 'Sāfār' can provide new insights and broader perspectives on spiritual, philosophical, and cognitive linguistic experiences. This is because the research highlights the complexity of dynamics between the source domain and the target domain in the process of metaphorical interpretation.

Abstract

This article delineates the stylistic similarities between Hölderlin's poetry and Sufi poetry within the manuscript of the 'Secret Book of Bainal Haq'. Accordingly, this research aims to highlight the shared stylistic features found in both types of poetry within the context of understanding the existence of God. The expressions of Sufi poetry contained therein reflect universal spiritual symbols capable of transcending cultural and historical boundaries. The Sufi literary discourse in the 'Secret Book of Bainal Haq' is connected to past literary traditions and anticipates the future direction of literature, as reflected in the poetry and metaphors used in the manuscript. This research approach adopts a qualitative descriptive content analysis method, employing Wittgenstein's 'Philosophical Investigations' approach. The research findings demonstrate that this approach effectively traces the relationship between transcendental existence (God) and religious aspects through Sufi literature in the 'Secret Book of Bainal Haq'. Within the framework of this research, the philosophy of language is considered an effective tool for understanding transcendental existence through literary discourse.

Abstract

Tariqa, within the framework of Sufism, refers to a system of religious thought and practice cultivated and exemplified by adherents of Sufi orders (tarekat) who embody a pluralistic orientation. This study seeks to elucidate the evolution of a diversity-orientated mentality embedded in tariqa (tasawuf) practices in East Lombok during the New Order era. Employing a historical research approach, this study adopts the established stages of historical inquiry is heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The findings indicate that the development of tariqa in East Lombok constitutes a long-standing historical process, rooted in the introduction of Islam to the region in the 15th and 16th centuries. This development has been consistently preserved as an integral element of the religious fabric of East Lombok society. The mentality of diversity has been culturally nurtured through a sustained and profound relationship between spiritual teachers (murshid) and their disciples within tarekat institutions. During the New Order period, the transformation of tariqa adherents into a community committed to fostering a culture of inclusivity and social cohesion was notably evident. Remarkably, the region experienced no communal conflict throughout the era, contributing to the formation of a harmonious society. This study aspires to contribute meaningfully to scholarly discourse on tariqa practices that embody tolerance and serve as exemplary models within pluralistic societies.

Abstract

The study of toponymy and colonial influences in Asia in the SN manuscript is useful for making significant contributions to the understanding of toponymy, colonial influence, and historical context in Asia, especially through the lens of the Serat Ngelmu Bumi Asia 1860 manuscript. The purpose of this study is to analyze the history of place names that have been influenced by colonialism. Which places are written in the SNBA manuscript, namely a manuscript containing the geographical conditions of the Asian continent in 1860.  The methods used in this study are literature study, philological research methods, and toponymy studies. The results of this study indicate that place names in Asia, especially those recorded in the SNBA manuscript of 1860, reflect significant colonial influence. Many place names recorded in the SNBA manuscript, such as India Depan, India Belakang, and Ceylon, show changes that occurred due to decolonization and foreign cultural influences. Changes in place names often reflect the dominance and political interests of the colonizers. The colonizers used new names or changed place names to show their power. The use of foreign languages ​​in place naming, often derived from the language of the colonizer, influences the way place names are identified and used.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi produk pendekatan pembelajaran flashback berbahan ajan sejarah lokal dapat menumbuhkembangkan kesadaran sejarah siswa SMA. Pada penelitian tahun ke-1 telah dihasilkan kebutuhan sekolah pada bahan ajar berbasis sejarah lokal dalam pembelajaran sejarah dan bahan ajar yang memuat tentang pendekatan pembelajaran flashback berbasis bahan ajar sejarah lokal. Penelitian ini dilakukan di 3 (tiga) SMA di Kabupaten Lombok Timur. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dimana tahap dilakukan melalui tahapan yaitu; studi pendahuluan; pengembangan desain pendekatan pembelajaran dan bahan ajar, uji coba produk; dan diseminasi. Penelitian ini dilakuakan dengan model Penelitian Tindakan Kelas pada 3 (tiga) SMA di Kabupaten Lombok Timur. Hasil penelitian dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dimana dalam melakukan analisis data merujuk pada komponen yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam kegiatan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan pendekatan pembelajaran flashback berbasis bahan ajar sejarah lokal berada pada level baik.  Data aktivitas siswa menunjukkan 75% siswa aktif dalam pembelajaran dengan kategori baik dan dari 20 item data obeservasi yang dilakukan untuk guru menghasilkan 19 item telah dilaksanakan guru. Siswa memberikan respon yang variatif dimana analisis terhadap respon siswa menunjukkan 25% sangat setuju, 75% setuju. Data hasil kerja siswa menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan wawasan ilmu dan kesadaran sejarah serta kemampuan menjawab keterkaitan materi ajar dengan kehidupan nyata. Adapun guru memperlihatkan pemahaman baik terhadap keterkaitan antara bahan ajar dengan kemampuan menjelaskan materi dengan baik. Bahan ajar yang telah dikembangkan sangat menarik dan sangat relevan menambah wawasan guru dan siswa terutama dalam menumbuhkembangkan kesadaran sejarah siswa.

Abstract

Pendidikan agama adalah salah satu kebutuhan spiritual masyarakat. Di era kemajuan teknologi dan sains yang begitu pesat. Pendidikan agama tidak bisa ditinggalkan masyarakat karena dengan agama masyarakat akan menjadi bermoral dalam hidup. Kemajuan suatu bangsa dan Negara dilihat dari sistem pendidikan, kemajuan pendidikan barat sudah sangat jauh meninggalkan pendidikan keagamaan di Indonesia, para modernis membuat suatu pendidikan model baru mendapat sambutan positif. Modernisasi pendidikan Islam menjadi Branding di tengah kalangan masyarakat Indonesia, Branding yang ditawarkan adalah program unggulan seperti tahfizh al-Qur’an yang dipromosikan di media sosial (faceebook).

Abstract

Every ethnic group has inherited local cultural wisdom from their predecessors. Similarly, the Sundanese people's riches include a wide range of great ideas, religious systems, and perspectives on life. This local wisdom can be utilized as a reference for the next generation, as it is still relevant to modern millennial life. One is related to the habits, traditions, and religious systems practiced by the Baduy traditional community. This indigenous wisdom is reflected in rituals and traditions that the community still follows and fiercely adheres to. This is inextricably linked to their belief system. Baduy society's beliefs are based on Sundanese Wiwitan teachings. The existence of these teachings is intimately related to the customs. This page also seeks to reveal the calculation and calendar system, which will serve as a reference and guideline for 'kolénjér' and 'literature' calculations. This study employs both descriptive analytical research methodologies and multidisciplinary cultural study methods, such as ethnography, social anthropology, communication, and oral traditions. The findings can disclose practices, traditions, religious systems, calculations, and calendars that have previously been hidden and unknown to individuals outside Baduy and are generally significantly different from other belief systems. The findings of this study can be used as a literacy resource for other scientific domains in a multidisciplinary context.
