Abstract

Mindmapping is a visual learning technique that organizes information in a branched and structured thought map. This concept was developed to help students understand, remember, and connect various ideas or learning materials more systematically. This study aims to examine the concept of mindmapping and its relevance to students' learning connectivity the ability to meaningfully link new knowledge with prior understanding. Using a qualitative literature study approach, this research explores various academic sources related to learning theories, visual strategies, and the effectiveness of mindmapping. The findings show that mindmapping stimulates both the right and left brain activities, strengthens memory retention, and enhances the interconnection of concepts in learning. In addition, this technique encourages students to think critically and creatively, fostering a holistic understanding of the material. Therefore, mindmapping is highly relevant as a learning aid that can enhance students' learning connectivity across different educational levels and subjects.

Abstract

This study investigates the implementation of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) for students with special needs at SLB Sinar Harapan 2 Probolinggo, focusing on teaching methods, instructional strategies, challenges, and the impact on character development. Employing a qualitative case study approach, the research involved fifteen purposively selected participants, including teachers, administrators, and parents, with data gathered through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews, and institutional document analysis. Findings indicate that adaptive and multisensory teaching methods—such as visual aids, sign language, tactile media, and structured religious routines—were integral in supporting student engagement and understanding. Teachers utilized routine-based strategies, collaborative family involvement, and differentiated instruction aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Despite challenges including limited instructional time, communication barriers, and inadequate resources, the study found that PAI learning contributed positively to students’ religious behavior, independence, empathy, and participation in communal rituals. Additionally, parental engagement increased during religious events, reinforcing school-based learning at home. These results highlight the potential of inclusive religious education to foster moral and spiritual development among students with diverse disabilities. The study underscores the importance of teacher adaptability, institutional support, and culturally grounded pedagogy in advancing inclusive Islamic education. Limitations include the single-school focus and lack of direct student voice. Future research should explore broader contexts, assess long-term outcomes, and incorporate student perspectives. The findings offer practical implications for educators, policymakers, and curriculum designers committed to equitable religious education for all learners.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi guru dalam meningkatkan kemampuan hafalan Al-Qur’an siswa di MAN 2 Probolinggo. Dalam konteks pendidikan agama, kemampuan menghafal Al-Qur’an menjadi salah satu aspek penting yang harus dimiliki siswa, terutama di sekolah-sekolah berbasis Islam. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru di MAN 2 Probolinggo menerapkan berbagai strategi, antara lain penggunaan metode talaqqi, muraja'ah (pengulangan hafalan), serta pemberian motivasi spiritual dan emosional. Selain itu, guru juga memanfaatkan teknologi digital seperti aplikasi hafalan Al-Qur’an untuk memudahkan siswa dalam proses menghafal. Faktor-faktor seperti lingkungan sekolah yang kondusif, dukungan orang tua, dan jadwal pembelajaran yang terstruktur juga berkontribusi dalam meningkatkan kemampuan hafalan siswa. Oleh karena itu, sinergisitas antara strategi pembelajaran yang tepat, dukungan lingkungan, dan pemanfaatan teknologi dapat secara signifikan meningkatkan kemampuan hafalan Al-Qur’an siswa di MAN 2 Probolinggo

Abstract

This community service activity was carried out to assist MSME (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) actors in Jrebeng Kulon Village in understanding and utilizing affiliate programs as a digital marketing strategy. The training was conducted through material presentation, demonstrations, and practical mentoring to ensure participants could follow each step more easily. Before the training, most participants were unfamiliar with the concept of affiliation and lacked the technical skills to use affiliate platforms. After participating in the activity, a significant increase was observed, particularly in the participants' ability to create accounts, select products, understand the commission system, and embed affiliate links. This change indicates that a practice-based training method is effective in helping MSMEs adapt to the developments in digital marketing technology. Overall, this training provided tangible benefits in improving digital literacy and opening opportunities for MSMEs to grow their businesses through a more effective and relevant marketing strategy in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of the Ilman wa Ruuhan method in Aqidah and Akhlak learning at SDIT Bintangku Probolinggo. The method is an integrated approach that combines cognitive (ilman) and spiritual (ruuhan) aspects to holistically shape students’ Islamic character. The focus of this research goes beyond technical skills in reading and memorizing the Qur’an, emphasizing the internalization of faith, moral values, and daily Islamic manners. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach using data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings show that the Ilman wa Ruuhan method is implemented gradually through socialization, teacher training, classroom practice, and regular evaluations based on students’ behavioral changes. Although various methods for teaching Aqidah and Akhlak have been implemented in elementary schools, many of them have not been able to consistently instill Islamic values and develop noble character in students. In addition, studies on the effectiveness of the Ilman wa Ruuhan method at the SDIT level are still limited and have not been extensively explored, thereby creating a gap that needs to be addressed. Based on this gap, the present study emphasizes that the Ilman wa Ruuhan method has been proven to improve students’ understanding of Islamic values, discipline, and behaviors that reflect noble character. Support from teachers, students, and parents serves as an important factor contributing to its successful implementation. Thus, the Ilman wa Ruuhan method is effective for teaching Aqidah and Akhlak and has the potential to become a model for Islamic character education at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the transformation of the role of the musyrif as a murobbi (leader) in developing the moral integrity and discipline of students at the Al-Kaaffah Islamic Boarding School in Kuningan. The urgency of this research lies in the increasing challenges of developing student character amidst modernization, necessitating a more transformative and relevant development approach. The study used qualitative methods with a descriptive design to explore the direct experiences of musyrifs, students, and pesantren leaders. Data were obtained through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation analysis. The results indicate that the transformation of the musyrif's role is realized through strengthening role models, intensive spiritual guidance, personal communication, and consistent enforcement of discipline. This role significantly influences the internalization of integrity values ​​such as honesty, responsibility, and obedience, while simultaneously enhancing discipline in learning activities and dormitory life. These findings provide a theoretical contribution to the study of pesantren character education, particularly regarding relationship-based and role-model-based development models. This study also emphasizes the importance of improving the capacity of musyrifs so that character development in pesantren can be more effective, adaptive, and sustainable.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools play a strategic role in shaping the character of students and empowering the muslim community economically. Therefore, they are required to develop educational models that are adaptive to social and economic changes without losing their Islamic identity. This study aims to examine the integration of Islamic boarding school learning in shaping entrepreneurial students at Al-Haqiqy Islamic boarding school, Probolinggo regency. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation studies involving pesantren leaders, supervising teachers, student entrepreneurs, and alumni. The data were analyzed interactively through a process of reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing, and tested for validity through source and technique triangulation. The results show that the integration of pesantren learning and entrepreneurship is not carried out through a formal curriculum, but rather through the internalization of spiritual values, the habit of independent living, the involvement of santri in pesantren business units, and the exemplary behavior of leaders, which effectively shapes the character of entrepreneurial santri based on Islamic business ethics, independence, and social responsibility. This study concludes that a value- and pesantren culture-based integrative approach is an effective and sustainable strategy in building the entrepreneurial spirit of santri.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the An-Nahdliyah method in Quranic instruction, identify its facilitating and hindering factors, and analyze the resulting changes in students' recitation quality at Madrasah Diniyah Miftahul Ulum, Probolinggo. A descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design was employed to obtain a profound understanding of the instructional processes in a real-world setting. Data were collected through systematic observation, in-depth interviews with key informants, and documentation, subsequently analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. Data credibility was maintained through source, technique, and time triangulation, complemented by member checking to ensure interpretive accuracy. The findings indicate that the An-Nahdliyah method is implemented as a structured guidance system comprising three fundamental stages: talaqqi (modelling), tauqif (immediate correction), and tikrar (repetition), further supported by the sorogan (individualized) approach. Primary supporting factors include teacher pedagogical competence and the effective utilization of instructional media, while challenges stem from the heterogenous initial abilities of students and limited instructional duration. Empirically, the implementation significantly improves students' recitation quality, specifically regarding makhraj (articulation points), tajwid (recitation rules), and overall phonetic precision. These results imply that organized traditional methods remain highly relevant and effective within modern Islamic pedagogical frameworks. However, this study is limited by its single-site focus and the absence of quantitative metrics. Future research is recommended to adopt mixed-methods approaches and explore the external influences of family environments and digital technology on Quranic literacy.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the process of accompanying prayer practices for dyslexic students at Islamic Junior high school Permata at Probolinggo City. Dyslexia, as a learning disorder that affects reading and writing abilities, often presents additional challenges in carrying out religious practices, including prayer. This research employs a qualitative approach with data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation of the mentoring program implementation. The results show that the implemented mentoring program successfully improved the understanding and skills of dyslexic students in performing prayers. Mentoring was conducted using dyslexia-friendly methods such as the use of visual materials, step-by-step instructions, and consistent emotional support. Students showed significant improvement in performing prayers independently and gained benefits in terms of self-confidence and spiritual involvement. This study concludes that mentoring strategies tailored to the needs of dyslexic students can enhance the quality of their worship. These findings recommend the implementation of similar approaches in other schools to support students with special needs and reinforce the importance of adapting teaching methods in the context of religious practices
