Abstract

Improving employee performance is an important factor in achieving organizational goals. Various factors can influence an employee’s performance, such as motivation level , including motivation and burnout. The purpose of this study is to anlyze the extent to which motivation and burnout affect employee performance at Bank Kalsel Syariah KCPS Banjarbaru Q Mall. The approach used in this study is quantitative, where motivation (X1) and burnout (X2) act as independent variables, while employee performance (Y) functions as the dependent variable. The sample used is saturated sampling, by distributing questionnaires to the entire employee population as respondents. The data analysis process in this study includes validity and reliability testing, classical assumption testing, multiple linear regression, as weel as F and, t statistical testing, and calculation of the coefficient of determination. The results show that simultaneously, motivation and burnout significantly affect employee performance (significance value 0.000 < 0.1; Fcount 41.527 > Ftable 2.51). Partially, motivation has a significant effect (significance 0.000 < 0.1; tcount 8.844 > ttable 1.703), while burnout does not significantly affect performance (significance 0.704 > 0.1; tcount 0.384 < ttable 1.703). The coefficient of determination (R²) is 0.755, meaning that motivation and burnout together explain 75.5% of the performance, while the remaining 24.5% is influenced by other factors. This finding highlights the importance of employee motivation and the need to reduce burnout in the workplace..

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of Project-Based Learning (PBL) in improving English as a Foreign Language (EFL) students’ speaking ability at Universitas Muhammadiyah Muara Bungo. A mixed-method design was employed, involving second-semester students of the English Education Department. Data were collected through speaking performance assessments and open-ended surveys. Quantitative results indicated a significant improvement in students’ speaking scores, with the average increasing from 78 to 88 across project tasks. Qualitative findings revealed enhancements in vocabulary, grammar, fluency, and confidence. Students reported that repeated practice, collaborative work, and authentic speaking tasks contributed to reduced anxiety and improved performance. The findings suggest that PBL not only enhances linguistic competence but also supports psychological readiness in speaking. Therefore, integrating project-based activities into speaking instruction is recommended to promote active learning and improve students’ communicative competence.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of flashcard match-up games in numeracy learning and to describe changes in the numeracy skills of lower-grade students at SDN 010096 Karang Anyer Kisaran based on observations and interviews. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. The research subjects consisted of class teachers and lower-grade students involved in the learning process using flashcard match-up games. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation with instruments in the form of observation guidelines, interview guidelines, and documentation sheets. Data analysis was carried out using an interactive analysis model that includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was tested through triangulation of sources and techniques. The results showed that the application of flashcard match-up games showed positive changes in students' numeracy skills, especially in understanding the concepts of simple addition and subtraction. In addition, this game encouraged active student involvement, increased learning motivation, self-confidence, and interaction between students during the learning process. Thus, flashcard match-up games can be an alternative learning media that supports the numeracy learning process in lower grades.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran fintech syariah dalam pemberdayaan Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) melalui pendekatan studi literatur. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan library research, yaitu mengkaji berbagai jurnal ilmiah, buku, dan dokumen yang relevan terkait fintech syariah dan pemberdayaan UMKM. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa fintech syariah memiliki peran strategis dalam meningkatkan akses pembiayaan, memperluas inklusi keuangan, meningkatkan efisiensi transaksi, serta memperkuat literasi keuangan dan literasi digital pelaku UMKM. Melalui penerapan prinsip-prinsip syariah seperti keadilan, transparansi, dan kemitraan, fintech syariah mampu menjadi alternatif solusi pembiayaan yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan pelaku usaha. Selain itu, fintech syariah memiliki peluang besar untuk berkembang di Indonesia karena didukung oleh perkembangan teknologi digital, regulasi yang semakin mendukung, dan besarnya jumlah penduduk Muslim. Namun demikian, masih terdapat berbagai tantangan yang perlu diatasi, seperti rendahnya literasi keuangan syariah, keterbatasan sumber daya manusia, persyaratan regulasi, serta persaingan teknologi yang semakin ketat. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan sinergi antara regulator, penyedia layanan fintech syariah, lembaga keuangan syariah, dan pelaku UMKM untuk mengoptimalkan peran fintech syariah dalam mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi yang inklusif dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop and test ethnopedagogy-based Social Studies (IPS) learning media to enhance local wisdom literacy among fourth-grade students at SDN 03 Bilah Barat. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach, adapting the Borg and Gall model into five simplified stages: needs analysis, product design, validation and revision, limited field testing, and effectiveness testing. Effectiveness was assessed using a quasi-experimental Non-equivalent Control Group Design involving 52 students, divided into an experimental group (26 students) and a control group (26 students). Data were collected via expert validation sheets and local wisdom literacy tests (pre-test and post-test). Expert validation results indicated a validity score of 89.00%, deeming the media highly suitable for use. An Independent Samples t-Test revealed a statistically significant difference between the experimental and control groups (p < 0.05). The mean post-test score for the experimental group was 85.38, higher than the control group's 69.62. A Cohen's d value of 2.33 indicated a very large effect size. The findings demonstrate that ethnopedagogy-based Social Studies learning media can serve as an alternative instructional tool to support local wisdom literacy among fourth-grade elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the improvement in students' understanding of geometric concepts through the implementation of an ethnomathematics approach based on Deli Serdang culture at SDN 107405 Sei Rotan. The study employed a pre-experimental design specifically a one-group pretest-posttest design in which a single group of students was assessed before and after the intervention, without a control group. The study involved 30 students. Data were collected via a test on geometric concept understanding administered before and after the implementation of the ethnomathematics approach. Data analysis included descriptive statistics, the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, and N-Gain calculation. The analysis results revealed that the mean pretest score was 65.40 (standard deviation: 8.25), while the mean posttest score increased to 84.10 (standard deviation: 6.70). Normality tests indicated that both the pretest (p = 0.621) and posttest (p = 0.447) data were normally distributed. An N-Gain value of 0.54 indicated that the improvement in geometric concept understanding fell into the medium category. The findings demonstrate an improvement in the understanding of geometric concepts following the implementation of the Deli Serdang culture-based ethnomathematics approach.
