Abstract

Kanker payudara merupakan penyebab kematian akibat kanker paling umum pada wanita di negara-negara berkembang. Kanker payudara dapat dideteksi dengan metode Pemeriksaan Payudara Klinis (SADANIS) yang dilakukan oleh tenaga kesehatan. Deteksi dini oleh wanita disebut dengan pemeriksaan payudara sendiri (SADARI). Partisipasi perempuan dan remaja putri dalam program skrining kanker payudara masih rendah. Hal ini disebabkan rendahnya kesadaran akan manfaat melakukan deteksi dini kanker payudara dan rasa malu. Pengetahuan remaja tentang kanker payudara dapat mempengaruhi perilaku remaja dalam melakukan deteksi dini kanker payudara melalui pemeriksaan payudara sendiri. Dengan rendahnya cakupan SADANIS maka salah satu cara yang mungkin dilaksanakan adalah melatih masyarakat tentang SADARI. Salah satu kelompok berisiko untuk terjadinya tumor pada payudara adalah remaja putri. Anggota kelompok sasaran adalah remaja putri sejumlah 60 orang di SMA Negeri 1 Rendang. Media pembelajaran yang digunakan adalah modul dan leaflet dengan alat bantu berupa LCD dan laptop. Sebelum penyuluhan dilakukan penggalian pengetahuan, sikap dan keterampilan remaja putri terlebih dahulu melalui kuesioner (pretest) dan setelah mengikuti penyuluhan dilakukan evaluasi terhadap pengetahuan, sikap dan keterampilan remaja putri (posttest). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat dilihat tingkat pengetahuan, sikap dan praktik remaja putri setelah diberikan intervensi berupa penyuluhan menunjukkan 80% responden memiliki pengetahuan baik, dan 20% memiliki pengetahuan cukup. Pada variabel sikap 98,3% bersikap positif dan hanya 1,7% yang bersikap negatif. Pada variabel praktik 80% responden telah melaksanakan praktik SADARI dengan benar dan 20% melaknakan praktik dengan salah. Hal ini menunjukkan peningkatan tingkat pengetahuan, sikap dan praktik remaja putri setelah diberikan intervensi pendidikan kesehatan. Pendidikan dasar kepada remaja putri perlu diberikan untuk memberikan informasi tentang SADARI untuk memperluas pengetahuannya tentang SADARI, memberikan panduan cara melakukan pemeriksaan SADARI dengan benar, dan mempengaruhi keinginan remaja putri untuk melakukan SADARI secara mandiri.

Abstract

Toilet merupakan sarana sanitasi yang penting dan dapat menjadi salah satu tempat penyebaran penyakit. Salah satu jenis penyakit yang dapat menyebar melalui toilet adalah penyakit akibat infeksi jamur yang disebabkan oleh Candida sp. Jamur Candida sp. memiliki sifat patogen yang dapat menyebabkan penyakit oportunistik yaitu kandidiasis. Kontaminasi Candida sp. pada air bak toilet dapat disebabkan oleh berbagai sumber, antara lain kontaminasi dari sumber air, kontaminasi dari pengunjung serta kontaminasi dari lingkungan sekitar toilte. Selain itu frekuensi pembersihan dan pengurasan juga dapat berpengaruh terhadap penumpukan jamur adalah Candida sp pada air bak toilet. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskripstif yang bertujuan untuk mengisolasi dan mengidentifikasi Candida sp. pada air bak toilet umum di Pasar Tradisional Kecamatan Denpasar Barat. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah air bak toilte yang diperoleh dari 31 bak toilet umum di kawasan pasar tradisional. Sampel air bak toilet dikultur pada media SDA lalu koloni yang tumbuh diidentifikasi secara mikroskopis dedngan pewarnaan LPCB dan dilakukan uji germ tube. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 31 sampel diketahui bahwa sebanyak 15 sampel (48,4%) positif mengandung Candida sp. dan 2 sampel diantaranya teridentifikasi merupakan Candida albicans berdasarkan uji germ tube. Hasil positif tersebut berkaitan erat dengan kondisi toilet umum dan kebersihannya yang meliputi frekuensi pemersihan dan pengurasan bak air, penggunaan cairan disinfektan dan sumber air yang digunakan.

Abstract

Kepok banana has been widely used as processed food by the community. The utilization of climacteric fruit is still limited to the use of fruit flesh. The banana peel, which still contains beneficial components like pectin, will therefore be wasted. In this study, pectin from banana peels is processed into an edible coating which will be used as a coating that will be applied to tomatoes. This objective of the study was to determine the best pectin extraction temperature which ranged from 70°, 80°, to 90℃ and the effect of edible coating of pectin extracted from kepok banana peel on the shelf life of tomatoes. Observation of the shelf life of tomatoes was carried out by observing weight loss and vitamin C content in tomatoes. The pectin extraction process and physiological characteristics of tomatoes were studied quantitatively for this study, and the physical characteristics of tomatoes were studied qualitatively throughout the course of 21 days. Based on the results of research on pectin extraction, a temperature of 90°C was discovered to be the best temperature for pectin extraction compared to temperatures of 70° and 80°. At 90℃, the amount of pectin produced was about 2.98%. Based on observations of fruit weight loss and vitamin C content in tomatoes, research on the shelf life of tomatoes revealed that edible coatings had no significant effect on fruit weight loss or vitamin C content. The results of observations of tomatoes at a temperature of 27℃ showed that vitamin C content of tomatoes coated with edible coating decreased by 6.1%, while at a temperature of 10℃, vitamin C content of tomatoes with edible coatings increased by 1.8%.

Abstract

Latah merupakan gangguan psikogenik dimana pengidap seringkali mengulang kata-kata. Pengidap latah ini sering kita temui dalam kehidupan sosial, terdapat berbagai macam jenis latah, yaitu 1) Echolalia yaitu pengulangan kata atau frase yang diucapkan lawan bicara; 2) Palilalia, yaitu pengulangan suku kata yang diucapkan oleh lawan bicara; dan 3) Coprolalia merupakan bentuk lingual yang bersifat kasar dan jorok berupa alat kelamin. Reaksi latah yang diujarkan tersebut menarik peneliti untuk mendeskripsikan ungkapan latah yang diujarkan oleh tokoh komedian atau aktor yang bernama Atiek Rimawati atau kerap disapa Mpok Atiek dalam tayangan Youtube KOMENG Info yang berjudul “Mpok Atiek Latah, Komeng jadi Betah”. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu penelitian kualitatif yang mendeskripsikan data yang didapatkan dari tuturan yang diujarkan oleh sumber data. Adapun jenis reaksi latah yang dituturkan oleh sumber data yaitu echolalia dan coprolalia. Gangguan berbicara latah ini disebabkan oleh faktor lingkungan, dimana sumber data sering kali mendapatkan peran sebagai tokoh yang latah.

Abstract

AbstractThe objective of study was to investigate the effectiveness of theimplementation of Make Match type cooperative learning models to increase the activity of students’ mathematics lessons. The design used was a classroom action research. The subjects were the students of grade IVA SD Negeri 81 Kota Bengkulu in the 2017/2018. Data collection techniques use was direct observation which wased during the process of learning mathematics by using Make a Match learning models. Data analysis techniques were obtained from observations of teacher activities and observations of student activities, the data obtainedfrom observation sheets were described. The results of the study concluded that the application of make-match cooperative learning model could increase student activity in mathematics learning. This can be seen from the teacher and student activity sheets.Keywords: Mathematics, Activity, Cooperative, Make a Match.

Abstract

Factors causing low reading knowledge among students at SD Yayasan Duta Harapan Bukit Sion Medan include the social, economic and educational conditions of the school environment. Factors such as limited access to various reading materials, lack of family support for reading habits, and uninteresting learning methods may be the main causes. In addition, students' intrinsic factors such as lack of interest in reading and undeveloped reading skills also need to be considered. This research is important in identifying the problems and developing appropriate strategies to improve reading skills in the school. This study aims to analyze the factors that cause low reading knowledge at SD Yayasan Duta Harapan Bukit Sion. This method uses a qualitative approach, where data is collected through interviews with teachers and students. The results showed that some of the factors causing students' low reading skills are laziness, physical or psychological disorders, lack of interest and the use of technology. Teachers play an important role in preparing interesting lesson plans, providing special support and using technology. Literacy in schools helps improve students' interest and reading skills through habituation, development and gradual learning. The implications of the findings highlight the need for collaborative efforts between schools and parents to improve reading skills in schools.

Abstract

Improving employee performance is one of the goals of the organization. The success and performance of employees is determined by many factors including motivation, discipline, leadership, work atmosphere and so on. This study aims to find out whether motivation and discipline affect the performance of BMT Khairul Amin Martapura employees. The variables in this study are Motivation (X1) and Discipline (X2), bound variables: Employee Performance (Y). This research is a field research with a quantitative approach. The samples in this study used saturated samples. Data collection techniques are carried out by the distribution of questionnaires and documentation.. The results showed that simultaneously there was a positive and significant influence on the performance of BMT Khairul Amin Martapura employees. This is evidenced from the value of Sig. = 0.001 < α = 0.1 and the value of Fhitung = 10.837 > Ftabel = 2.62. Then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, while partially obtained the result that the motivation variable has a positive and insignificant effect, where the value of Sig. = 0.814 > α = 0.1 and the calculated value = 0.240 < ttabel = 1.740. Disciplinary variables have a positive and significant effect, where the value of Sig. = 0.002 < α = 0.1 and the value of counting = 3.741 > ttabel = 1.740. The coefficient of determination test shows that motivation and discipline simultaneously affect employee performance by 56.1%.

Abstract

To date, video blog (vlog) has been identified as a convenient learning tool to develop learners’ speaking skill. In language assessment, especially speaking, vlog has met the criteria for assessing learners’ speaking skill authentically since it provides real-life situations in the process of creating the video. This study aimed at investigating how vlog facilitates authentic assessment in measuring students’ speaking skill. This study is guided under a descriptive qualitative method using interview guidelines to collect the data and observation checklist in analysing the data. Two lecturers and six tertiary students from spoken English class were involved. The findings illustrate that the vlog project has acquired the criteria of authenticity of a speaking assessment as well as students’ preference in speaking assessment. The vlog project, therefore, can be advantageous media to assess students’ speaking skills authentically.

Abstract

For Indonesians, which are non-native English speakers, learning English is complex due to unpredictable spelling and complicated grammar. Even so, they are able to be experts in English since they possess a key element that is motivation. The learning motivation for each individual is different which may be influenced by gender and age factors. Therefore, this study exists to investigate the distinct motivation possessed by male and female learners as well as different age groups of learners. This study also aims to find out what kind of motivation each group had (intrinsic, instrumental, or integrative motivation) as well as its level. This research was conducted using a cross-sectional study by administering questionnaires to 64 participants. The sample of this study was 2nd, 4th, 6th, and 8th-semester students of English Language Education Department UINSA academic year 2020/2021. The findings revealed that there is a significant difference in motivation to learn English in terms of gender (Sig (2-tailed= .016), but none in distinct age groups (Sig (2-tailed=.707). Besides, both male and female learners obtained a moderate level in instrumental motivation. It was identical to the result of 2nd, 4th, 6th, and 8th-semester students. The findings of this study will be very fruitful for lecturers, students, and other researchers.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze Leadership and Smart Environment Policy: A Case Study Implementation of Smart Environment in Pekanbaru. One of the problems that is still a frightening threat to the sustainability of the environment and people's lives in the future. Pekanbaru City is one of the big cities in Indonesia, located in Riau Province. With the significant increase in population, the environmental problems experienced in Pekanbaru City, Riau Province are very complex, starting from the accumulation of rubbish, floods, forest fires, pollution and so on. The research uses descriptive qualitative research methods with a library research approach as the basis for researchers in this journal, by conducting in-depth reviews of national journals and references that are reputable and can be accounted for in the accuracy of data information. The result of this research is the application of a smart environment to create an environment that provides comfort for its residents, beauty for those who see it both materially and immaterially, and resource conservation in an effort to reduce urban waste can be said to be successful. So it can create a smart environment. The aim of a smart environment is to be able to change a colony that was originally dirty, smelly and filthy into a colony that is clean, comfortable and attractive. Therefore, a smart environment policy is needed to create a green city in Pekanbaru City.
