Abstract

The objective of this paper is to describe the teacher as prefession and development of teacher profession as honourable and respectable profession. Teacher profession is considered as profession if it fulfills some criteria: providing self-working based service, having strong comitment, qualification which based on knowledge and specific skill ownership got from long and tight training, providing service which is given seriously, getting payment from client, and being controlled by peer when acquiring the profession. Teacher profession development is done by increasing the teacher’s quality, improving the teacher training system, recruiting, certitificating, and improving teacher management system.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are to describe and explain types of social support provided by families and residents of surrounding communities to individuals with mental disabilities in the “kampung tunagrahita” of mentally disabled people in Ponorogo Regency. This research used a qualitative descriptive approach along with its case study design. The data collection was undertaken through in-depth interviews, documentation, and passive observation. The sources of data were derived from main informants, events or activities that provided the social support to improve the ability of people with mental disabilities, and documents in the form of background data on the people with mental disabilities and other pertinent documents. The research subjects were dietermined using a purposive sampling technique, and the data analysis used an interactive analysis model. The results show that families, normal citizens, and village government in Jambon district, Ponorogo Regency provide the social support to people with mental disabilities through the provision of self-care skills training, information and assistance in taking care of family members with mental disabilities. Likewise, the much-needed skills training is set to produce works worth considering.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan masalah-masalah pembelajaran pada mata kuliah Perkembangan Peserta Didik, merancang dan mengembangkan prototipe model pembelajaran berbasis proyek dengan teknik time management untuk menurunkan prokrastinasi akademik mahasiswa, dan menghasilkan model pembelajaran berbasis proyek dengan teknik time management untuk menurunkan prokrastinasi akademik mahasiswa. Jenis penelitian yang dipergunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan yang dilakukan melalui 4 tahap, yaitu tahap studi eksplorasi, tahap pengembangan model pembelajaran, tahap pengujian model, dan tahap diseminasi dan sosialisasi. Penelitian ini menunjukkan hasil sebagai berikut. Pertama, berdasarkan studi eksplorasi diperoleh hasil bahwa menurunnya kualitas pembelajaran mata kuliah Perkembangan Peserta Didik, tingkat prokrastinasi akademik pada mahasiswa tinggi, dan dosen dan mahasiswa membutuhkan model pembelajaran mampu meningkatkan kompetensi mahasiswa sekaligus bisa menurunkan prokrastinasi akademik Kedua, prototipe model pembelajaran berbasis proyek dengan teknik time management berisi tentang struktur model (syntax), sistem sosial (social system), prinsip reaksi (principle of reaction), sistem penunjang (support system), dampak instruksional dan pengiring (instructional and nurturant effect). Struktur model (syntax) pembelajaran berbasis proyek dilakukan melalui 6 tahap, yaitu Penentuan Pertanyaaan Mendasar (Start With the Essential Question), Mendesain Perencanaan Proyek (Design a Plan for the Project), Melakukan Jadwal Kegiatan Berbasis Manajemen Waktu (Create a Schedule), Memonitor Siswa dan Kemajuan Proyek (Monitor the Students and the Progress of the Project), Menguji Hasil (Assess the Outcome), dan Mengevaluasi Pengalaman (Evaluate the Experience).

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to discover the effectiveness of group counseling with self-instruction and time management techniques in decreasing academic procrastination in mathematics learning. This research used a randomized pre-test post-test comparison group design with sixteen participants selected through a purposive random sampling technique. Eight of those participants (group 1) used the self-instruction technique; meanwhile, the other eight participants (groups 2) used the time management technique. The data was obtained through an academic procrastination scale, referring to academic procrastination aspects, developed by Tuckman. Additionally, the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test was used to test the effectiveness of both techniques, and the Mann-Whitney test was used to compare the efficacy of both techniques. The results indicate that group counseling with self-instruction and time management techniques are sufficient to lower the academic procrastination in mathematics learning. Further, the self-instruction group counseling is more effective to downturn academic procrastination than time management technique.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji keefektifan konseling kelompok dengan teknik self-instruction dan teknik time management untuk mereduksi prokrastinasi akademik pada pembelajaran matematika. Desain penelitian menggunakan randomized pre-test post-test comparison group design. Enam belas subjek penelitian dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive random sampling, dimana delapan subjek (kelompok 1) diberi perlakuan teknik self-instruction dan delapan lainnya (kelompok 2) diberi perlakuan teknik time management. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan skala prokrastinasi akademik yang dikembangkan oleh Tuckman dengan mengacu pada aspek prokrastinasi akademik. Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test digunakan untuk menguji keefektifan kedua teknik, sementara uji Mann-Whitney digunakan untuk membandingkan keefektifan keduanya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konseling kelompok dengan teknik self-instruction dan teknik time management efektif untuk mereduksi prokrastinasi akademik pada pembelajaran matematika. Lebih lanjut, konseling kelompok dengan teknik self-instruction lebih efektif untuk mereduksi prokrastinasi akademik dibandingkan teknik time management.

Abstract

The pandemic caused by the Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) has had psychological and health impacts on people's lives around the world. On a psychological aspect, this pandemic has caused anxiety due to low mindfulness. To increase the potential of mindfulness, one of the ways taken is by counselor psychological intervention. The authors used an Islamic counseling approach to reduce anxiety and increase mindfulness. Therefore, the research was conducted using a quasi-experimental design with non-equivalent control group design. Participants in this study were 14 students consisting of 7 students for each experimental and control group. Participants were invited after filling self-report the anxiety scale facing COVID-19 and indicated that they were in the high category. The data analyzed with the Wilcoxon sign rank test to determine the impact of before and after the intervention was given, then used the Mann Whitney to find out the mean differences between the experimental and control group, and the Rank Spearman to determine the correlation between mindfulness and anxiety. The results showed that Islamic counseling intervention is effective to increase mindfulness which impacted on reducing anxiety in facing the COVID-19 pandemic. Besides, the results of correlation analysis using the Rank Spearman show that there is a correlation between mindfulness and anxiety.

Abstract

Abstrak: Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh proses pembelajaran yang kurang maksimal di saat pandemi atau proses pembelajaran yang dilakukan secara daring. Proses pembelajaran di Pusat Kegiatan Belajar Masyarakat (PBKM) Bhakti Luhur pada saat pandemi mengandalkan media sosial seperti whatsapp hasilnya kurang maksimal, sehingga capaian pembelajaran menurun. Berdasarkan temuan masalah ini tim pengabdi mengadakan pelatihan dan pendampingan dalam pemanfaatan Learning Management System (LMS) pada kegiatan pembelajaran di PKBM. Kegiatan ini dilakukan melalui tahapan: perencanaan, implementasi (pelatihan dan pendampingan), dan monitoring serta evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian memberikan dampak positif pada PKBM dalam hal peningkatan capaian belajar warga belajar dan juga tenaga pengajarnya. Capaian tersebut berdasar kegiatan monitoring setelah kegiatan menunjukan tingkat perkembangan di PKBM terkait dampak pemanfaatan LMS pada proses pembelajaran sebesar 70%. Setelah selesai kegiatan ini, guru dan warga belajar mampu mengoperasikan LMS dengan baik.Abstract: This service activity is motivated by the problems that exist with our partners, namely the learning process that is less than optimal during a pandemic or the learning process carried out online. The learning process at the Bhakti Luhur Community Learning Activity Center (PBKM) during the pandemic relied on social media such as WhatsApp the results were less than optimal, so learning outcomes decreased. Based on the findings of this problem, the service team held training and assistance in the use of the Learning Management System (LMS) in learning activities in PKBM. This activity is carried out through the following stages: planning, implementation (training and mentoring), and monitoring and evaluation. The results of service activities have a positive impact on PKBM in terms of increasing the learning outcomes of learning residents and also their teaching staff. This achievement is based on monitoring activities after the activity shows the level of development in PKBM related to the impact of using LMS on the learning process by 70%. After completing this activity, teachers and learning residents are able to operate the LMS well.

Abstract

SD Negeri Sukowinangun 2 merupakan salah satu sekolah inklusi yang memiliki banyak siswa berkebutuhan khusus yang membutuhkan bantuan agar mampu memiliki keterampilan sosial, namun guru pendamping atau guru kelas tidak memiliki latar belakang pendidikan luar biasa. Pembelajaran anak-anak berkebutuhan khusus memerlukan inovasi untuk dapat meningkatkan kemampuan dalam menyerap. Khususnya kemampuan berkomunikasi social. Hal tersebut mendorong tim PKM untuk memberikan pelatihan tari dolanan anak mengingat karakter tari dolanan yang ceria dan mudah ditarikan sangat sesuai untuk merangsang kemampuan komunikasi social ABK. Selain itu juga mengenalkan anak pada kearifan local setempat. Pelatihan tari dolanan diberikan dengan tahapan pengenalan gerak dasar, pola lantai, pola interaksi dan mengentalkan sampel satu materi tari tari yaitu dolanan blarak. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan tingkat penguasaan guru pada wirama, wirasa, wirogo, hafalan dan penampilan sangat baik. Guru dapat mengembangkan gerak tari kedalam tema dolanan yang lain. Sebagai bentuk evaluasi, guru mengimplementasikan hasil pelatihan pada peserta didik ABK. Dengan adanya metode pembelajaran tari dolanan anak, antusias para peserta didik khususnya ABK menjadi bertambah, anak-anak semangat untuk menirukan bersama teman-temannya. Diharapkan pengabdian ini menjadi solusi permasalahan komunikasi sosial pada ABK.

Abstract

Self-confidence is one of the human aspects that must be owned by every individual, especially students and students to achieve career success, family, education, and so on. However, there are still many students who do not have self-confidence, have not been able to find their strengths and weaknesses. Therefore self-confidence needs to be explored from a young age. High school students are at a developmental stage who are prepared to be immediately ready to work so they need to be instilled with confidence to choose and pursue a job that is in accordance with their field of expertise. To increase students' self-confidence, guidance and counseling services are needed through lesson study for learning community (LSLC) activities which include three stages, namely planning, implementation, and reflection. After being carried out for three cycles, it can be said that through the implementation of Lesson Study for Learning Community (LSLC) in guidance and counseling services, it can increase students' self-confidence. Based on the results of this activity, it will be followed up for lecture activities on campus with the aim of exploring and increasing student confidence

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the Individualized Education Program (IEP) on early reading ability of students with special needs in Inclusive Elementary Schools in Magetan Regency based on reading interest. This study used 2 x 2 factorial design with pre-test and post-test control group design. The samples were selected using a cluster random sampling technique; 35 students were selected as experimental group members, while 37 were selected as control group members. Reading interest scale was used to measure the reading interest of students, and early reading ability was measured using early reading ability test. Two-way ANOVA was used to analyse the hypothesis. The test was performed with a multiple comparison test using Scheffe's method. The results show that (1) there are differences in the early reading ability of students with special needs who are taught by applying the IEP and those who are not; (2) there are differences in the early reading ability of students with special needs between groups of students with high reading interest and low reading interest; (3) there is an interaction between the application of IEP and reading interest in improving the early reading ability of students with special needs.

Abstract

Kemarahan dan kekecewaan mengarah pada perilaku agresivitas yaitu penggunaan kata atau fisik yang disengaja menyakiti fisik atau psikologis seseorang atau menghancurkan properti. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui bentuk dan faktor penyebab perilaku agresivitas. Penelitian kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Tiga orang siswa dan satu orang informan sebagai subjek penelitian. Wawancara dan observasi adalah teknik pengumpulan data. Metode analisis data meliputi reduksi, penyajian data, kesimpulan, dan verifikasi. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian, siswa melakukan empat perilaku agresivitas: agresi verbal, seperti mengejek nama teman, bertutur kasar, berdebat dengan guru, mengancam teman; agresi fisik, seperti memukul, menendang, mendorong; agresi marah seperti mudah marah; agresi permusuhan, seperti membenci orangtua atau teman. Penyebab perilaku agresivitas dipisahkan menjadi dua kategori: faktor eksternal, seperti faktor teman sebaya dan faktor keluarga; faktor internal, seperti faktor biologis/naluriah, pengendalian emosi, frustrasi, dan kebiasaan.
