Abstract

Temuan menunjukkan tiga tema utama: pendekatan metodologis (misalnya systematic review, evidence), konteks demografis (misalnya woman, child, Nigeria, Ethiopia), dan intervensi pendidikan (misalnya student, questionnaire, health education).

Abstract

Introduction: Globally, Chronic Kidney Disease of Unknown etiology (CKDu) poses a growing medical and social challenge, particularly in agrarian countries with a high prevalence of pesticide exposure. Indonesia, is one of the countries with a dominant agricultural sector. Tanjungsari and Glonggong villages in Wanasari subdistrict, Brebes Regency, are agricultural areas with a high intensity of pesticide use. Methods: This research aimed to identify the prevalence of subclinical renal dysfunction and associated risk factors in horticultural farmers in areas with high pesticide exposure. This research applied a cross-sectional method involving 40 farmers aged 26-65 years from two villages in Wanasari District, Brebes Regency. Data collection was carried out through interviews, and examination of kidney function biomarkers (serum creatinine and eGFR). Statistical analysis was conducted using Logistic Regression tests. Results and Discussion: The study revealed that 37.5% of participants exhibited eGFR values <90 ml/min/1.73 m2, indicating subclinical impairment of kidney function. Employment duration >20 years (p=0.024; OR=6.000; 95% CI:1.263-28.498) and daily working hours >6 hours (p<0.001; OR=69.279; 95% CI:6.423-756.965) showed a significant association with reduced eGFR values. Occupational health interventions should prioritize managing the duration and intensity of exposure to hazardous substances in the workplace, regardless of the workers' gender. Conclusion: The conclusion is that the daily working hours and the employment duration of the farmers are significantly associated with impaired kidney function, potentially acting as an initial marker of CKDu.

Abstract

Media-based interventions show promise in addressing the rising mental health concerns among adolescents, surpassing challenges associated with traditional care. This review critically assesses the effectiveness of media-based interventions in promoting adolescent mental health, with a specific focus on social media, digital applications, and film. The methodology employs a comprehensive approach, utilizing Google Scholar, Scopus, and PubMed databases (2012-2022) with keywords such as "mental health," "media," and "adolescents." the methodology is refined for enhanced clarity, explicitly detailing the search strategy, inclusion and exclusion criteria, and selection process. Findings from the analysis of 13 selected articles highlight promising outcomes of digital interventions in screening and treating mental disorders in adolescents. Emphasizing scalability, accessibility, and personalization benefits, the review recognizes the importance of addressing privacy concerns and the potential drawbacks of relying solely on digital platforms. Additionally, it emphasizes the impact of using booklets for mental health self-management in schools. The review improves organization and flow, eliminating repetition for a clearer presentation of information, providing a detailed evaluation of their strengths and limitations, enhancing the overall credibility of the review. the abstract explicitly discusses limitations related to inclusion criteria, such as language restrictions and the exclusion of specific study designs. Abstract

Abstract

Adolescent girls in Jakarta face unique mental health challenges due to cultural, social, and environmental factors. Understanding their prevention needs is critical to inform targeted interventions. This qualitative study aimed to explore the prevention needs of mental health disorders among adolescent girls in Jakarta, shedding light on their experiences and requirements for effective support. We conducted a qualitative study in Jakarta, Indonesia. Participants included 4 counseling guidance teachers consisting of public schools, private schools, Islamic and Christian affiliated schools, 2 parents, 1 coordinator of the School Health Unit, 2 health workers who hold PKPR projects, and the supervisor in charge of the school health unit, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through focus group discussion and analyzed using thematic analysis manually. The study reveals that teachers and parents have varying levels of exposure to adolescent mental health information, with some offering counseling but not always tailored to girls' needs. Parents often rely on subtle cues to detect mental health issues in their daughters. There's room for improvement in addressing girls' mental health needs in schools, with specific training for teachers and more open parent-daughter communication. Further research is needed to ensure uniform support for adolescent mental health.

Abstract

Diarrhea is a major cause of morbidity and mortality in all age groups and regions in the world. Environmental factors and drinking water are risk factors for diarrhea. it is important to examine the influence of environmental hygiene factors and drinking water on the incidence of diarrhea. Therefore, this study presents information regarding the influence of environmental cleanliness and drinking water on diarrhea by reviewing empirical studies in previous and current research. In order to identify the influence of environmental cleanliness and drinking water factors on the incidence of diarrhea, a review of literature collected from the PubMed, Scopus, Google Scholar databases in English and Indonesian was carried out. Literature taken from the last 10 years, namely from 2014 to 2024 and in the form of full text publications. Environmental sanitation factors and good drinking water play an important role in determining how susceptible a person is to gastroenteritis or diarrhea. The availability of clean drinking water is the most important factor in preventing diarrhea. Lack of clean water has emerged as one of the main factors causing diarrhea. Access to proper and clean drinking water is obtained from protected drinking water sources, including tap water (taps), public hydrants, public taps, water terminals, rainwater reservoirs or protected springs and wells, drilled wells/pumps that are at least a distance away 10 meters from waste disposal facilities can prevent diarrhea.
