Abstract

This article aims to discuss the development of Islamic higher education in Indonesia. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach and method, systematic analysis of theories and regulations that are directly related to the research title Development of Islamic higher education in Indonesia, through a library research method approach. After collecting various books and journals related to the discussion, then analyzing the material through literature study with the results of the analysis in descriptive form. The development of Islamic higher education in Indonesia lies in the transformation of Islamic higher education which can be divided into three phases of development, namely: first, in the form of high schools including the types of higher education: Islamic High School (STI), State Islamic Religious College (PTAIN), Academy Department of Religious Sciences (ADIA) and there is a State Islamic Religious College (STAIN). In this phase, the scientific group developed an Islamic scientific discipline. The second group continues, namely a form of institute where scientific development is more widespread, this institution is called the State Islamic Religious Institute (IAIN). This institution has developed a group of similar sciences which include Islamic religious sciences, but often as time goes by there is not only one science. And then the third group, is in the form of universities (UIN).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi konsep humanisasi dalam pendidikan Islam dengan menggunakan perspektif Al-Qur'an dan Kurikulum Merdeka sebagai landasan teoritis. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif tinjauan pustaka dengan metode deskriptif-analitis, dan menggunakan metode tafsir tematik untuk mengkaji ayat-ayat al-Qur’an secara mendalam dari berbagai sudut pandang permasalahan dalam pembahasannya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan dalam Islam, yang sering disebut sebagai al-tarbiyah, al-ta'lim, dan al-ta'dib, memiliki tujuan utama untuk memanusiakan individu dan mengembangkan potensi manusia secara keseluruhan. Humanisasi pendidikan Islam perspektif Al-Qur'an dan dalam implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka menekankan pentingnya membangun manusia secara holistik. Hal ini melibatkan pengembangan spiritual, intelektual, dan sosial, serta penerapan nilai-nilai Islam dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Dengan mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai humanis dalam pendidikan, Islam menawarkan pendekatan komprehensif untuk mempersiapkan individu menjadi agen perubahan positif dalam masyarakat, sesuai dengan prinsip kemanusiaan yang diwarisi dari ajaran Al-Qur'an

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mencari jawaban tentang penanaman nilai humanis religious terhadap siswa di Madrasah Aliyah Kabapaten Ogan Ilir yang terdiri dari tiga Madrasah Aliyah yang berada di Kabupaten Ogan Ilir. Meliputi Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Ogan Ilir, Madrasah Aliyah Babussalam Payaraman dan Madrasah Aliyah Raudhatul Qurán Payaraman. Penelitian ini adalah kualitatif fenomenologis dengan teknikan alisis diskriptif analitik. Temuan penelitian, Penanaman nilai humanis religious di Madrasah Aliyah Kabupaten Ogan Ilir peneliti menemukan dalam sistem pendidikan integralistik Sedangkan dalam proses pendidikan terdapat dalam hidden kurikulum. Implimentasi nilai humanis religius di Madrasah Aliyah Swasta diwujudkan dalam bentuk budaya madrasah dimana ada aturandan program pendidikan yang harus dijalankan oleh siswa ketika dilingkungan Madrasah, tujuan pembentukan pendidikan nilai humanisreligius terwujudnya kebebasan dan kemandirian belajar, terbentuknya spiritualitas, kesalehan individual dan social siswa. Sedangkan dalam proses penanaman nilai humanis religious peneliti temukan dalam bentukhidden kurikulum yang dan dirancang melalui kegiatan intrakurikuler, ekstrakurikuler dan budaya yang sudah berjalan di madrasah.

Abstract

Background: This research is premised on the growing necessity for religious education teachers to possess digital pedagogical competencies, particularly in light of the current educational landscape. Digital pedagogical competency refers to a teacher's ability to effectively integrate digital technologies into the teaching and learning process. Given the rapid advancement of digital tools and their increasing relevance in education, this competency has become critical for fostering innovation in teaching methods. Purpose: The primary aim of this study is to analyze the various efforts made to enhance the digital pedagogical competence of religious subject teachers at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 3 (MAN 3) in Palembang City. By examining these efforts, the research seeks to understand how teachers are improving their ability to integrate technology into their instructional practices. Method: Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through observations, interviews, and document analysis. Result: The findings reveal several strategies employed to improve these competencies: participation in ICT-focused training and workshops, peer learning through collaboration with colleagues adept in technology, self-directed learning via online resources like YouTube, and active involvement in professional forums such as Subject Teachers' Conferences (MGMP) and Madrasah Working Groups (KKM). Conclusion: The study highlights the diverse and proactive approaches taken by teachers to improve their digital pedagogical competencies, underscoring the importance of continuous professional development and collaborative learning in enhancing the integration of digital technologies in religious education.

Abstract

The role of teachers in the world of education has undergone significant changes along with the transition from the conventional era to the technological era. In a conventional context, teachers are considered the only source of knowledge, with learning methods that tend to be instructive and focused on teaching from teacher to student. However, technological developments have changed this role, making teachers facilitate, mediators, and innovators in the learning process. With technologies such as e-learning, interactive multimedia, artificial intelligence, and digital platforms, the effectiveness and flexibility of learning have increased, allowing for a more personal and collaborative approach. This transformation requires teachers to develop digital competencies, critical thinking skills, and the ability to adapt to technological advances and the needs of students. The role of teachers is now not only limited to delivering material, but also includes guidance, motivation, and the creation of an innovative and inclusive learning environment. Therefore, the ability of teachers to use technology is very important to improve the quality of education. In improving this progress, there must also be encouragement where in addition to themselves there are also from various parties, including the government and educational institutions, it is very necessary so that teachers can carry out their roles optimally in the digital era, in order to encourage the progress of a more effective and sustainable learning process.

Abstract

Background: This study is motivated by the need to develop an educational paradigm that not only focuses on character education but also expands its scope by integrating prophetic values into the education system. Purpose: The study examines the implementation of prophetic values (ṣiddīq, amānah, tablīgh, faṭānah) at Universitas Muhammadiyah Metro (UM Metro). Method: Using a qualitative approach and grounded theory methodology, data was collected through interviews, documentation, and observations, and analyzed using Miles & Huberman's interactive model. Result: The findings reveal that prophetic values are integrated into the curriculum through the "mosque of science" model, which incorporates AIK (Al-Islam and Muhammadiyah) courses across all faculties. This research introduces the theory of holistic integrative prophetic-based education, which not only enhances academic performance but also strengthens moral and ethical character in line with Islamic teachings. Conclusion: The recommendations of this study include evaluating the relevance of education, improving lecturer competence, and conducting further research on the impact of prophetic-based education.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how to improve teacher competence in order to realize quality education. This study uses a qualitative method with a library research approach that discusses Teacher Competence to Realize Quality Education. Literature or bibliography studies can be interpreted as a series of activities related to library data collection methods, reading and recording and processing research materials. This study employs a library research method by identifying, collecting, reviewing, and analyzing various scholarly sources such as books, journals, and educational policy documents to draw conclusions about strategies for improving teacher competencies in order to achieve quality education. The results of the study show that teacher qualifications and competency standards play an important role in improving the quality of education in Indonesia. Teachers must be able to adapt to technological advances, work with other teachers, and develop their professional skills. Pedagogical competence in education includes an understanding of the characteristics of their students. In addition, this understanding includes how teaching affects students, how to plan and implement learning activities, how to produce learning outcomes, and how to develop student potential. Personality competence is an important component of a teacher's competence.

Abstract

Multicultural Education In Curriculum Design and Islamic Religious Learning. Multicultural education is a contemporary educational paradigm that needs to be responded by Islamic educational institutions. As a religion, Islam has a very strong root of multicultural education. In the context of Indonesia, the concept of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika is a collective agreement on the values of universal unity in diversity living with the values of rahmatan lil ‘alamin that need to be developed through practices and traditions of Islamic education in Indonesia. Integrative design of curriculum and learning becomes one of the important alternatives considered as an effort to instill multicultural values through the school system. The open attitude of the teachers, the availability of teaching materials, the supportive school environment, and the pattern of teacher training with multicultural insight become the supporting factors of effective implementation of multicultural education in schools and madrasah.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the strategies used by Madrasah Ibtidaiyah teachers in developing students’ competencies based on Islamic values while optimizing the use of technology in the digital age. Teachers have an important role in integrating technology in learning without ignoring Islamic values. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods with literature study and interviews to explore competency development strategies and technology utilization. The literature study involved tracing various scientific sources, while interviews were conducted with teachers to understand the implementation of learning strategies and the challenges faced. The results show that to overcome the limitations of teachers' infrastructure and technology skills, solutions that can be implemented include the development of a more stable and affordable community-based internet network and the utilization of portable learning devices such as mini routers or satellite-based hotspots. In addition, online and offline-based technology training is effective in improving teachers' skills, especially in areas with limited internet access. Teachers are also encouraged to create simple digital learning media such as offline-based apps or PowerPoint-based interactive media that can be disseminated via USB devices or memory cards. Although technology has been applied in learning, challenges such as limited infrastructure, teacher readiness, and learners' digital literacy still need to be overcome. The study concludes that although technology enhances learning effectiveness, its successful integration requires adequate infrastructure, teacher training, and support to ensure Islamic values are preserved.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan strategi yang efektif untuk meningkatkan profesionalisme guru di era digital. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi literatur dengan menganalisis berbagai sumber yang relevan, termasuk jurnal, buku, dan laporan penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan profesionalisme guru di era digital dapat dicapai melalui beberapa strategi utama: Pelatihan teknologi info, Kolaborasi antara guru, dan Partisipasi dalam diskusi profesional, Dukungan dari pihak sekolah dan pemerintah, Pengembangan Literasi Digital, Menerapkan model yang efektif untuk Pengembangan Profesional, dan Integrasi Teknologi dalam Praktik Pendidikan. Meningkatkan profesionalisme guru di era digital membutuhkan pendekatan holistik yang menggabungkan sikap teknis, pendidikan dan spiritual.
