Abstract

Fundamental movement skills provide an important foundation for elementary school students in their future participation in a variety of physical activities. This community service activity in the form of soialization aims to provide comprehensive knowledge about the importance of learning of fundamental movement skills for students' future and practical implementation in physical education learning. The partner's problem in this activity is that there is still a lack of understanding and not optimal learning of fundamental movement skills in physical education learning at school. The partner in this activity is SD Hang Tuah Makassar, Makassar City, South Sulawesi Province. This socialization activity was divided into several series of activities, namely: (1) Discussion of material with the teacher regarding learning fundamental movement skills, (2) discussion with the teacher regarding learning basic locomotor, non-locomotor and manipulative movement skills based on the theory of fundamental movement skills, and (4) Practice examples of learning fundamental movement skills for students. This activity provided results, namely a comprehensive understanding for teachers and students of the importance of mastering and learning of fundamental movement skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat gaya hidup sedentari pada siswa sekolah dasar pada kabupaten penyangga ibukota provinsi yaitu di Kabupaten Gowa, Sulawesi Selatan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode survey. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah siswa sekolah dasar di Kabupaten Gowa yang diambil melalui tehnik purposive sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 100 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini menggunakan angket "tingkat sedentary lifestyle". Hasil analisis perolehan angket menunjukkan  56,67 persen responden berada pada tingkat gaya hidup sedentari yang rendah. 33,44 persen responden berada pada tingkat gaya hidup sedentari sedang dan 9,89 persen responden berada pada tingkat gaya hidup sedentari yang tinggi. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan tingkat gaya hidup sedentari siswa sekolah dasar di Kabupaten Gowa sebagai kabupaten penyangga ibukota Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan berada pada kategori rendah.

Abstract

Healthcare worker wellbeing has become a strategic priority in modern healthcare systems where high work pressure, occupational stress and burnout risks threaten healthcare service quality. Physical activity programs have been recognized as effective interventions for improving worker health, yet systematic evaluation of their implementation in healthcare institutions remains limited.  This study aims to systematically analyze the effectiveness of physical activity programs as organizational wellness strategies in hospitals and their impact on organizational performance indicators. Methods: A systematic review was conducted following PRISMA protocol with comprehensive searches in PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, Google Scholar and SINTA databases from 2020-2025. Inclusion criteria comprised empirical studies evaluating physical activity programs in healthcare institutions measuring impact on employee wellbeing or organizational indicators. 47 studies met inclusion criteria with 89,460 total participants. Multimodal programs (47% of studies) with 12-24 week duration demonstrated high effectiveness. A total of 81.3% of studies reported significant increases in physical activity levels (standardized mean difference +0.25) and 80% showed psychological stress reduction (Cohen's d = -0.42). Supervised workplace-based programs yielded superior adherence (67%) compared to individual programs (33%). Organizational impacts included 1.8 fewer sick days per year per employee (OR = 0.67), improved Work Ability Index (66.7% of studies), and return on investment of $3.27 per $1 invested. Conclusion: Physical activity programs prove effective as organizational wellness strategies with measurable impacts on individual health and organizational performance indicators. Optimal implementation requires multimodal approaches, supervised sessions, management support, and protected time during work hours

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memetakan bukti empiris terkini mengenai peran olahraga rekreasi dalam meningkatkan kesehatan mental dan kualitas hidup (QoL) masyarakat. Dengan metode literature review, penelusuran dilakukan pada PubMed, Scopus, ScienceDirect, DOAJ, dan Google Scholar untuk artikel 2019–2025, menggunakan kata kunci berpadanan (recreational sport, leisure-time physical activity, mental health, well-being, quality of life, community-based). Dari 15 studi yang memenuhi syarat, mayoritas melaporkan penurunan gejala depresi–kecemasan, peningkatan well-being dan QoL, serta temuan dose–response di mana frekuensi 2–3 sesi/minggu intensitas ringan, sedang memberi manfaat konsisten. Mekanisme yang paling sering dilaporkan meliputi regulasi neurobiologis (penurunan kortisol, peningkatan endorfin/BDNF), mediasi sosial (dukungan dan keterikatan komunitas), serta efek restoratif lingkungan pada aktivitas berbasis alam. Bukti dari konteks Indonesia menegaskan peran program komunitas (Car Free Day, senam massal) yang memperkuat partisipasi dan kohesi sosial. Tinjauan ini menyimpulkan bahwa olahraga rekreasi merupakan intervensi non-farmakologis, murah, inklusif, dan berkelanjutan untuk promosi kesehatan mental dan QoL lintas usia, serta merekomendasikan dukungan kebijakan ruang terbuka/fasilitas publik, kolaborasi lintas sektor, dan riset lanjutan terkait dosis optimal, preferensi populasi khusus, dan evaluasi jangka panjang. Keterbatasan tinjauan mencakup heterogenitas desain dan instrumen luaran, potensi publication bias, serta dominasi studi berpendapatan tinggi

Abstract

Abstract: The phenomenon of a sedentary lifestyle is increasing, coinciding with the growing dominance of technology-based activities in academic environments. At Makassar State University, lecturers and educational staff spend most of their working time sitting, increasing the risk of health problems. This study aims to design a physical activity model based on the Isotemporal Substitution Model (ISM) as a preventive measure against sedentary behaviour. The method used is Design Science Research Method (DSRM), which includes stages of problem identification, requirements formulation, artefact design, demonstration, and evaluation. The results indicate that the developed artefact—a model for substituting sitting time with various categories of physical activity (moderate, vigorous, very vigorous aerobic activity, and muscle strengthening)—can be adaptively applied by lecturers and educational staff according to work conditions and available time. The implementation of this model is recommended to be supported by institutional policies and institutional health programs to ensure sustainability and provide a long-term, positive impact on the quality of life of the academic community. Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of the use of interactive visual media on students' learning interest in basic volleyball techniques at SMA Negeri 9 Makassar. The method used was a quasi-experimental study with a pretest-posttest control group design. The sample consisted of 40 students divided into two groups: an experimental group (n=20) receiving treatment using interactive visual media, and a control group (n=20) using conventional learning methods. The descriptive analysis showed that the average learning interest score in the experimental group increased from 67.40 (SD = 6.12) in the pretest to 85.10 (SD = 5.73) in the posttest. Meanwhile, in the control group, the score increased from 66.85 (SD = 5.89) to 72.45 (SD = 6.18). The t-test results showed a significant difference between the two groups in the posttest, with a p-value of 0.000. The effect size calculation using Cohen's d yielded a value of 2.12, which is considered a large effect size. These findings indicate that the use of interactive visual media can significantly increase student interest in learning basic volleyball techniques. This media provides a more engaging learning experience, facilitates technical understanding through visualization, and encourages active student participation. Therefore, interactive visual media is recommended as an effective learning strategy in physical education at the secondary school level.

Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan literasi kesehatan dan kemandirian masyarakat melalui pemanfaatan teknologi QR Code pada tanaman obat keluarga (TOGA) di Kelurahan Anrong Appaka. Kegiatan terdiri dari sosialisasi pentingnya TOGA, pelatihan pembuatan dan pemasangan QR Code, serta praktik pemanfaatan informasi digital berbasis QR Code. Evaluasi kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan, keterampilan identifikasi, serta motivasi masyarakat dalam mengembangkan dan menggunakan TOGA sebagai alternatif kesehatan keluarga. Implementasi QR Code efektif memudahkan akses informasi, memperkuat edukasi kesehatan tradisional, dan mendorong partisipasi lintas generasi. Inovasi ini direkomendasikan untuk direplikasi dalam program edukasi kesehatan berbasis teknologi sederhana di masyarakat lain.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of kickboard and pull buoy use for students with aquaphobia. It also aims to determine whether kickboard and pull buoy use affects their freestyle swimming ability. The Aquaphobia Scale Questionnaire (ASQ) questionnaire was used to determine the effect of kickboard and pull buoy use on freestyle swimming ability. The research method used was a randomized purposive randomized experimental study (pretest-posttest). A pretest was administered to all 20 STKIP YPUP students enrolled in swimming courses with aquaphobia. These students were divided into two groups using paired ordinal matching. Data analysis used a t-test with a significance level of 0.05. The results of this study indicate a significant difference in the effect of kickboard and pull buoy training groups, with an average of 12.09 at a significance level of 0.25. There was a significant difference in the effect of the kickboard and pull buoy training groups using the Aquaphobia Scale Questionnaire (ASQ) questionnaire, with an average increase of 7.70 at a significance level of 0.25. This indicates excellent effectiveness of using the kickboard, both using the Aquaphobia Scale Questionnaire (ASQ) questionnaire and through direct practice with freestyle swimming skills.

Abstract

Keterampilan gerak dasar merupakan pondasi penting bagi siswa sekolah dasar bagi keterlibatan mereka pada aktivitas fisik di masa depan mereka. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini merupakan upaya memberikan pengetahuan mendalam terkait pentingya keterampilan gerak dasar untuk masa depan siswa serta integrasinya ke dalam kehidupan sekolah. Permasalahan mitra di dalam kegiatan ini yaitu masih kurangnya pemahaman dan minimnya integrasi keterampilan gerak dasar dalam kegiatan sekolah tentang keterampilan gerak dasar baik oleh guru pendidikan jasmani serta seluruh elemen sekolah lainnya. Mitra dalam kegiatan ini yaitu SDN 198 Cinennung, Kabupaten Bone, Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan. Kegiatan sosialisasi berlangsung melalui 4 tahapan yaitu: (1) Pemaparan materi terkait urgensi keterampilan gerak dasar, (2) pemaparan materi terkait keterampilan gerak dasar lokomotor, non-lokomotor, dan manipulatif berbasis teori keterampilan gerak dasar (3) pemaparan materi terkait integrasi pembelajaran keterampilan gerak dasar dalam kehidupan sekolah, dan (4) praktik implementasi pembelajaran keterampilan gerak dasar kepada siswa. Kegiatan ini memberikan hasil berupa pemahaman mendalam seluruh elemen sekolah terhadap pentingya keterampilan gerak dasar. Pemahaman tersebut selanjutnya dioptimalkan dengan pelaksanaan contoh implementasi pengetahuan ke dalam praktik kegiatan sekolah.

Abstract

Stunting pada anak merupakan masalah gizi kronis yang umum terjadi di seluruh dunia, termasuk di Indonesia. Untuk mencapai standar kesehatan yang baik maka diperlukan adanya proses pengelolaan lingkungan sekitar dan aktivitas harian yang tercermin dalam gaya hidup sehat. Gaya hidup sehat merupakan gaya hidup masyarakat yang menjunjung tinggi aspek-aspek kesehatan seperti pengelolaan kebersihan dan kesehatan lingkungan, menjaga kebugaran fisik dan psikis dan pemberian asupan nutrisi yang cukup, sehingga tercapai standar kesehatan yang baik. Tujuan dari pengabdian pengabdian kepada masyarakat untuk memberikan pengetahuan serta pemahaman pola hidup sehat dan aktivitas fisik yang teratur untuk penurunan angka dan pencegahan stunting. Metode yang dilakukan dalam pengabdian kepada masyarakat yaitu workshop, sosialisasi, demonstrasi, dan media sosial. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat juga dilakukan pengukuran indeks massa tubuh siswa untuk mengetahui status gizi. Peningkatan pengetahuan stunting, poa hidup sehat dan perilaku aktivitas fisik pada anak merupakan dua hal yang sangat penting untuk diperhatikan. Stunting adalah masalah gizi kronis pada anak yang dapat menyebabkan pertumbuhan tubuh yang tidak optimal dan berdampak pada kesehatan dan perkembangan anak yang buruk. Sedangkan perilaku aktivitas fisik yang kurang pada anak dapat meningkatkan risiko terjadinya stunting dan masalah kesehatan lainnya.
