Abstract

Abstract:The aim of this research was to find out the implementation of character education in Islamic boarding school (Ponpes) of Ibnul Qoyyim in Yogyakarta and Al-Hidayah in Jambi. The method used of this research was qualitative method with case study approach. The data were obtained through interview, observation, and documentation. The research subjects were selected using purposive sampling. Data analysis technique used referred to Miles and Huberman model, namely reducing data, displaying data, and concluding. The findings indicated that there were similar methods applied to teach character education in both Ponpes. Both of them integrated vision, mission, and all activities program into character education values through co-curricular, intracurricular, extracurricular, and habituation. Islamic students (Santri) practiced the values such as religious, politeness, discipline, honest, hard work, independent, responsible, mutual help, tolerant, caring the social environment in daily activities. The minimum control was able to give opportunity for Santri to avoid negative behavior. The character education which was programmed and integrated to all activities in those Ponpes was quite effective to build Islamic students’ character which needed intensive collaboration between parents and society to educate and to control Santri when they were outside Ponpes area.Abstrak:Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mempelajari pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter di pesantren Ibnul Qoyyim di Yogyakarta dan Al-Hidayah di Jambi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan menggunakan studi kasus. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian dipilih menggunakan purposive sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan mengacu pada model Miles dan Huberman, yaitu mereduksi data, menampilkan data, dan menyimpulkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya kesamaan metode yang digunakan kedua Ponpes tersebut. Keduanya mengintegrasikan visi, misi, dan program kegiatan ke dalam nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter melalui ko-kurikuler, intrakurikuler, ekstrakurikuler, dan habituasi. Santri mempraktikkan nilai-nilai seperti agama, kesopanan, disiplin, jujur, kerja keras, mandiri, bertanggung jawab, saling membantu, toleran, peduli terhadap lingkungan sosial dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Kontrol minimum mampu memberi kesempatan bagi Santri untuk menghindari perilaku negatif. Pendidikan karakter yang diprogramkan dan terintegrasi ke semua kegiatan di Ponpes cukup efektif untuk membangun karakter Santri yang membutuhkan kolaborasi intensif antara orang tua dan masyarakat untuk mendidik dan mengontrol Santri ketika mereka berada di luar wilayah Ponpes.

Abstract

Manusia, sebagai makhluk hidup dan makhluk sosial, memiliki kebutuhan dasar yang mesti terpenuhi agar dapat bertahan hidup dan memperoleh kehidupan yang nyaman, senang dan sejahtera, tak terkecuali anak usia dasar. Kebutuhan anak usia dasar (6-12 tahun) berbeda dengan kebutuhan anak remaja dan orang dewasa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan anak usia dasar dan implikasinya terhadap penyelenggaraan pendidikan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif jenis library research. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, kebutuhan anak usia dasar meliputi enam aspek yaitu, Pertama kebutuhan fisiologis seperti makanan, minuman, wahana permainan dan sebagainya. Kedua, kebutuhan perlindungan dan rasa aman seperti lingkungan yang asri, aman dan damai. Ketiga, kebutuhan akan rasa kasih sayang dan perhatian. Keempat, kebutuhan akan penghargaan atas segala tindakan atau prestasi. Kelima, kebutuhan aktualisasi diri seperti menunjukan kemampuan (ability) atau bakat (talent) yang dimiliki. Keenam yaitu kebutuhan akan rasa sukses. Setiap individu dan tingkatan usia anak memiliki level kebutuhan yang berbeda-beda, dikarenakan adanya perbedaan faktor usia, fisik, psikologi, keturunan dan lingkungan. Kebutuhan anak usia dasar sangat berkaitan dengan proses pendidikan anak. Pada usia dasar, anak memiliki kemampuan berifkir dan bergerak yang masih terbatas. Anak juga memiliki sifat yang egois, keras kepala, manja dan sensitif yang masih sangat tinggi. Hematnya, sebagai pihak eksternal, orang tua, guru maupun orang dewasa mesti memahami tingkat kebutuhan dan karakter anak, supaya tidak terjadi kesalahan dalam mendidik dan mengajar dalam rangka membentuk pribadi anak yang beriman, cerdas dan berkarakter.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the improvement of students' learning liveliness in natural science subject at class IV of state Islamic elementary school (MIN) by applying the Giving Question and Getting Answer learning strategy. The research approach of this research is classroom action research by three action cycles referring to the Kemmis and Mc. Taggart. The subject of this study is the students class IV at MIN 2 Bandar Lampung TA. 2018/2019 as many as 30 students. The data is collected through observation, interview, documentation, and test. Analysis of this study uses qualitative and quantitative data approaches. The research discovery proves that the GQGA strategy is able to improve the students’ liveliness and learning oucomet viewed by three aspects: cooperation, expressing opinion, and problem solving which an average of cycle I is 71.71%, cycle II is increase 82.18%, and cycle III also is increase 88.07% from the standard achievement 80%. Therefore, it can be concluded that the GQGA strategy can improve the students’ learning liveliness in the natural science learning on the theme "caring for environment, the various jobs, and my hero".

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to Palembang local wisdom-based develop Civic Education teaching Subject for grade IV in elementary school. This research was research and development. The developed model which was used on this teaching material was ADDIE model which has five stages. They were analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. The research subjects were fourth grade students of Islamic Elementary School (MI) Azizan Palembang City. Based on the responses, assessments of design Expert, language Expert, material Expert, and student, the development of these teaching materials has a fairly high level of validity and effectiveness. The results also showed that average learning outcomes on the final test were better at 81.03 compared to the initial test with an average score of 64.71. The significance obtained was 0.000. The significance obtained was less than 0.05. This increase of learning outcome proves that the development of Palembang local wisdom-based teaching materials has an impact on increasing students' understanding of national identity by recognizing and preserving local wisdom.

Abstract

The human as human being should experience the development every time, including on the basic age of child (7-13 years old). One of important aspects of  human development is cognitive aspect. Cognitive development is an comprehensive development relating with thinking ability, such as the ability of thingking, reasoning, expressing idea, imagination and creativity. According to Piaget’s theory, the cognitive development of basic age child consists of two phases: the first is concrete operational phase (7-11 years old) that is a phase where the child has been able to function his/her mind to think logical, rational and objective, but it is just limited on the object concrete.  The second is formal operational phase (11-12 more years old) that is a phase where the child has used his/her mind to think a matter which will be or ought to be happening (hyphotheses) and a abstract matter. In spite of the same phase, cognitive development of child has difference in every age level that it is very significant to be known especially in education scope in teaching and learning process. Referred to new version of Talksonomi Bloom Theory, the child who is 7 years old has been at C1, C2 and C3 level but it is still limited, age 8 years is C2 and C3 level; age 9 years is C3 level which is high level; age 10 years is C3, C4 and C5 level which is limited, age 11 years is C4, C5 and C5 level; and 12 years more is C6 level which is better. The significance of comprehension about the cognitive ability level of child becomes reference to choose material lesson, to determine strategy, model and learning method. The purpose is to able to create effective learning and to be able to comprehend the material maximally which it is hopefully compatible with the belonging of child’s cognitive ability. Keyword : Cognitive Development, Basic Age Child, Teaching and Learning

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh permasalahan terkait Analisis Nilai-nilai Pendidikan Karakter dalam Kegiatan Ekstrakulikuler Drumband Siswa di Sekolah Dasar Negeri 2 Gumawang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu (1) Untuk mengetahui nilai karakter yang terkandung dalam ekstrakulikuler Drumband siswa. (2) Untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan kegiatan ekstrakulikuler Drumband siswa. (3) Untuk mengetahui kendala dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan esktrakulikuler Drumband siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu, pendidikan yang dapat membuat seseorang memiliki kepribadian yang lebih baik agar dapat membuat seseorang memiliki kepribadian yang lebih baik melalui penanaman nilai pembentuk karakter bangsa dalam kegiatan ekstrakulikuler. Ekstrakulikuler drumband merupakan sekelompok barisan orang yang memainkan lagu dengan beberapa macam alat music secara bersama-sama yang dimainkan dilapangan terbuka. Nilai karakter yang diutamakan yaitu nilai kedisiplinan, bertanggung jawab, bersahabat dan integritas. Dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan ini adanya partisipasi dari guru pembina dan siswa dalam mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakulikuler ini dengan melakukkan pembiasaan, nasihat, serta disisipkan dalam rangkaian kegiatan latihan ekstrakulikuler. Sedangkan kendala dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan ekstrakulikuler ini pada kelengkapan sarana dan prasarana alat drumband maupun pada siswa anggota drumband itu sendiri selama kegiatan ekstrakulikuler.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) produce valid integrative thematic diorama learning media, (2) produce practical integrative thematic diorama learning media. The method used is the R&D development method with the ADDIE development model which consists of 5 stages, namely: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation. The data collection used is a questionnaire and documentation. Test the validity and practicality of the data using a predetermined formula. The subjects of this study were fourth grade students of MI Al-Ittifaqiah Indralaya with a total of 15 students. Therefore, it can be concluded: (1) Produce valid integrative thematic diorama learning media seen from the validity questionnaire of design experts with a score of 62 with an average result of 85, validation of linguists with a score of 49 with an average result of 81, and material expert validation with a score of 58 with an average result of 96.66. (2) Produce practical integrative thematic diorama learning media as seen from the score of 1,379.82 with an average score of 91.98.

Abstract

This article describes an analysis result to Nurcholish Madjid’s thinking about the importance of religion education in the family toward age basic child. This research is liberary research. Data is obtained from the various literature as book and journal. Data is analyzed by content analysis technique which analyzes various sources and conclusions concerning religion education in the family toward age basic child perspective of Nurcholish Madjid. According to Nurcholish Madjid, religion education in the family to basic age child includes two dimensions which the first is divinity dimension including to faith, Islam, virtue, piety, sincere and resignation, gratitude, and patient. The second is and humanity dimension including to friendship, fraternity (ukhuwah), equality (al-musawwah), fair, positive thinking (husn-u’zh-zhann), humble (tawaddu), commitment (al-wafa), cordiality (insyirah), mandate (al-amanah, “amanah”), brave (iffah atau ta’affut), thrifty (qawamiyah), dan generous (al-munfiqun, doing infaq). A right action of parent which teach those good values by model and practice continually as pray, fast, alms, discipline of time, and independent, will be internalized into child’s self and make the child aware to actualize those values on the daily life since basic age.

Abstract

Teaching materials in thematic learning based on learning models are not yet available. This underlies researchers' development textbooks integrated into the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model. The material developed in the textbook is the theme of 3 sub-themes 1 class IV at MI Azizan Palembang. This type of research is the ADDIE model's research and development, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research and development process that researchers carry out gets positive results. Developing thematic teaching materials based on the CTL learning model on theme 3 subtheme 1 grade 4 at MI Azizan Palembang is categorized as valid with the validation assessment of design experts 73%, linguists 75%, and very good categories on material experts 92%. The results of the responses of grade 4 students and teacher assessments in the use of teaching materials are categorized as very practical. In the group trial stage, the percentage of scores reached 93%, field trials obtained a percentage score of 90%, and teacher assessments obtained a percentage of 93%. This shows that thematic teaching materials based on the CTL learning model on theme 3 sub-theme 1 grade 4 at MI Azizan Palembang are suitable for use in the implementation of learning.

Abstract

Islam adalah agama yang hadir dengan penuh rasa kasih sayang dan mengandung berbagai ajaran kebaikan terhadap sesama manusia. Hal ini juga tercermin dalam peradaban Islam melayu di Sumatera Selatan. Tulisan ini menguraikan nilai-nilai moderasi beragama dalam peradaban Islam melayu di Sumatera Selatan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pustaka (liberary research). Data diperoleh melalui kajian dari berbagai sumber literatur seperti buku, artikel jurnal, dan naskah-naskah yang relevan. Data dianalis dengan metode content analysis yaitu analisis terhadap kandungan isi yang berfokus pada interpretasi dari teori-teori yang berkaitan. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa sikap beragama yang moderat sudah tercermin dalam sejarah peradaban Islam Melayu di Sumatera Selatan. Islam dapat diterima dengan mudah oleh masyarakat melayu karena karakter Islam yang disebarkan sangat egaliter, populis, dan terbuka terhadap aspek-aspek kehidupan masyarakat. Nilai-nilai moderasi beragama dalam peradaban Islam melayu di Sumatera Selatan yaitu sikap kasih sayang, toleransi, plural, multikultural, dan membaur dengan nilai-nilai kebudayaan yang dilestarikan oleh masyarakat. Nilai-nilai tersebut terkandung di dalam berbagai kearfian lokal yang ada dalam tradisi Islam melayu di Sumatera Selatan seperti ritual upacara adat perkawinan, upacara kematian, dan arsitektur bangunan masjid. Oleh sebab itu, Peradaban Islam Melayu di Sumatera Selatan dapat dijadikan model Islam yang moderat untuk diamalkan oleh umat Islam.
