Abstract

This article discusses the management of HR quality management at SMPIT Qurrata A'yun Batusangkar. Because researchers use descriptive methods, this research is included in the qualitative research category. Data was collected through official and personal documentation, interviews and observations. The research results show that human resource planning at SMP IT Qurrata A'yun Batusangkar in Human Resource Quality Management consists of evaluating needs, setting human resource goals and policies, designing and implementing plans, and supervision. The process of supervising human resources at SMP IT Qurrata A'yun Batusangkar in Human Resource Quality Management includes class visits and supervision of learning tools. Implementation of human resources also includes recruitment, selection, placement of teaching staff and educational staff, training and development, and performance assessment

Abstract

Electricity is energy that flows through cable networks and has become an important part of the progress of human civilization in various fields. The high demand for electrical energy for consumers requires providers of electrical energy to provide a reliable but economical supply of electrical energy. Therefore, strategies and methods are needed to adjust the supply and demand of electrical energy. This can be achieved by carrying out proper and appropriate operational planning. One of the important steps in planning the operation of an electric power system is predicting the demand for electrical energy. However, in the existing research there are still deficiencies in the form of a high error rate. The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of the multilayer perceptron artificial neural network to predict electricity in 2022-2026 at PT PLN (Persero) UP3 Salatiga. The study used time series data on electricity consumption for the previous 5 years. Based on the research that has been done, the best network variation is TRAINGDA 4 hidden layer with 20 hidden layer nodes, this network model at the training stage produces output with MAD of 2,624,072 kWh and MAPE of 2.79%, and at the stage testing produced an output with MAD of 3,728,386 kWh and MAPE of 3.24%. Keywords: Multilayer perceptron artificial neral network, Forecasting, Electricity consumption.ABSTRAK  Listrik merupakan energi yang mengalir melalui jaringan kabel serta sudah menjadi bagian yang penting dalam kemajuan peradaban manusia di berbagai bidang. Tingginya kebutuhan energi listrik pada konsumen mengharuskan penyedia energi listrik menyediakan suplai energi listrik yang handal tetapi tetap ekonomis. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan strategi dan metode untuk penyesuaian antara supplay dan demand energi listrik. Hal tersebut dapat dicapai dengan melakukan perencanaan operasi yang baik dan tepat, salah satu langkah perencanaan operasi sistem tenaga listrik yang penting yaitu prediksi kebutuhan energi listrik. Namun dalam penelitian yang ada masih terdapat kekurangan berupa tingkat kesalahan yang masih cukup tinggi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui implementasi multilayer perceptron artificial neural network untuk melakukan prediksi listrik pada tahun 2022-2026 pada PT PLN (Persero) UP3 Salatiga. Penelitian menggunakan data time series konsumsi energi listrik 5 tahun sebelumnya. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan didapatkan variasi jaringan terbaik yaitu TRAINGDA 4 hidden layer dengan 20 node hidden layer, model jaringan ini pada tahap training menghasilkan output dengan nilai MAD sebesar 2,624,072 kWh dan MAPE sebesar 2.79%, serta pada tahap testing menghasilkan output dengan nilai MAD sebesar 3,728,386 kWh dan MAPE sebesar 3.24%.

Abstract

This research aims to find out what types of code switching are used and the reasons for using code switching by YouTuber Fathia Izzati in her conversations based on Hoffman's theory. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method, because the object of this research is taken from YouTube videos. To get data there are several steps taken, namely watching and listening to videos, making transcriptions of videos, select the utterances consisting of code switching. The main theory used to analyze the data focuses only on Hoffman's theory (1991) to analyze the types of code switching and the reasons for using code switching. The results of this analysis show that all types of code-switching are found in Fathia Izzati's utterances namely, Intra-sentential switching, Inter-sentential switching, and Tags-switching. The results of this analysis show that this study can find all types of code switching in Fathia Izzati's utterances. On the other hand, for the reasons for the use of code switching based on Hoffman's theory, the researcher found that of the 7 existing reasons, only 5 reasons for the use of code switching were found in the three selected Fathia Izzati videos, that is Talking about particular topic, be emphatic about something, Interjection, Repetition used for clarification, Clarifying the speech content for the interlocutor. The purpose of using code switching has been explained in the YouTube Channel Fathia Izzati video.

Abstract

Abstrak Filariasis masih menjadi salah satu masalah kesehatan masyarakat di Kota Batam. Di Kelurahan Tembesi ditemukan 1 kasus baru tahun 2015. Salah satu strategi pemberantasan filariasis yang dilakukan dengan memutuskan mata rantai penularan dengan Pemberian Obat Massal Pencegahan (POMP) filariasis. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan dan sikap masyarakat terhadap praktek minum obat dalam program Pemberian Obat Massal Pencegahan (POMP) filariasis di Kelurahan Tembesi. Jenis penelitian ini analitik dengan rancangan penelitian cross sectional. Jumlah sampel pada penelitian ini adalah 100 responden yang diperoleh dengan metode purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan ada hubungan antara pengetahuan masyarakat terhadap praktek minum obat filariasis (p=0,002) dan ada hubungan antara sikap masyarakat terhadap praktek minum obat filariasis (p=0,003). Saran kepada semua pihak baik dinas, puskesmas dan masyarakat saling bekerja sama dalam memutus mata rantai penularan penyakit filariasis dengan cara ikut serta minum obat dalam Program POMP Filariasis. Kata Kunci : Filariasis, Pengetahuan, Sikap, Pemberian Obat Massal Pencegahan (POMP) Abstract Filariasis is still a public health problem in Batam City. In Tembesi Urban Village, 1 new case was found in 2015. One of the strategies to eradicate filariasis is to break the chain of transmission with the Provision of Preventive Mass Drugs (POMP) for filariasis. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes of the community towards the practice of taking medicine in the Filariasis Bulk Drug Administration (POMP) program in Tembesi Village. This type of research is analytical with a cross sectional study design. The number of samples in this study were 100 respondents obtained by purposive sampling method. The results of this study indicate that there is a relationship between public knowledge of the practice of taking filariasis medicine (p = 0.002) and there is a relationship between community attitudes towards the practice of taking filariasis medicine (p = 0.003). Suggestions to all parties, both agencies, health centers and the community to work together in breaking the chain of filariasis transmission by participating in taking medication in the POMP Filariasis Program.

Abstract

The implementation of the First Pillar STBM Program in Sagulung District, Batam City, which began in 2018 as a whole, has not been carried out optimally with results that are still far from the SDGs 2030 target and the Circular (SE) of the Governor of Riau Islands No. 0168/106 / SET regarding the 2019 universal access target for sanitation. The purpose of this study was to analyze the Open Defecation Free (ODF) status on land availability and economic level status in Sagulung District, Batam City. This research is an observational study with a quantitative method with a cross-sectional design. The research was conducted in Sagulung District from April to May 2020, the research sample was determined by random sampling technique, namely as many as 90 samples. The results showed that of the 6 Village in Sagulung District, there were 3 Village that had been ODF verified and 3 Village had not been ODF verified, with the status of having land to build latrines were 25 samples (27.8%) and did not have land to build latrines and septic tanks were as many as 65 samples (72.2%) with a p-vlaue is = 0.585 while the economic level with good status was 58 samples (64.4%) and bad was 32 samples (35.6%) p-value = 0.274. From the results of this study it can be concluded that there is no relationship between land availability and economic status for ODF status in Sagulung District, Batam City. It is hoped that the Batam City Health Office can advocate for the local government to build more communal latrines in Sagulung District and turn coastal areas into tourist areas so that people are ashamed of open defecation and the need to mobilize figures to implement policies or written regulations agreed upon by the local community to encourage so that people do not defecate anywhere anymore.

Abstract

Sejak akhir 2019, sebuah penyakit baru telah ditemukan. Penyakit tersebut diketahui dapat menyebar dengan cepat, dan dinamakan Coronavirus Disease (Covid-19). Saat ini, protokol pencegahan Covid-19 menjadi hal yang wajib dilakukan di pintu masuk Negara, dalam hal ini adalah pelabuhan internasional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi protokol pencegahan Covid-19 di Pelabuhan Internasional Batam Center di wilayah kerja KKP Kelas 1 Kota Batam tahun 2020. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif, melalui observasi lapangan, wawancara dan juga telaah dokumen dengan jumlah informan sebanyak 6 orang yaitu Kepala KKP Kelas 1, Kepala Bidang Pengendalian Karantina dan Surveilans Epidemiologi KKP Kelas 1, Kepala Bidang Pengendalian Risiko Lingkungan KKP Kelas 1, Kepala Bidang Upaya Kesehatan dan Lintas Wilayah KKP Kelas 1, Manajer Pelabuhan Internasional Batam Centre, dan Koordinator Operasional Pelabuhan Internasional Batam Centre. Penelitian ini menggunakan uji validitas dalam bentuk triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi metode. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan implementasi protokol pencegahan Covid-19 di Pelabuhan Internasional Batam Center telah dilaksanakan kesiapsiagaan dan deteksi dini serta respon di pintu masuk Negara sesuai dengan Pedoman Pencegahan dan Pengendalian Coronavirus Disease (Covid-19). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu Pelabuhan Internasional Batam Center sudah melakukan protokol pencegahan Covid-19, dibuktikan dengan persiapan SDM dan sarana prasarana telah dilakukan, dan juga pengawasan terhadap pelaku perjalanan, lingkungan, dan edukasi yang informatif di wilayah pelabuhan internasional Batam Center.

Abstract

Predicting stock prices is a challenging yet crucial task in financial markets. This research aims to compare the performance of two Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) neural network models for forecasting the closing price of Nokia Corporation (NOK) stock: a univariate model using only historical closing prices and a multivariate model incorporating open, high, low, close, and volume (OHLCV) data. Utilizing historical daily data from 2015 to 2025, both models were trained to predict the next day's price based on the previous 60 days. The models' accuracy was rigorously evaluated using three key metrics: Mean Absolute Error (MAE), Root Mean Square Error (RMSE), and Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE). The findings revealed a decisive outcome. The univariate LSTM model consistently outperformed its multivariate counterpart across all evaluation metrics. It achieved an MAE of 0.0591, an RMSE of 0.0887, and a MAPE of 1.39%, while the multivariate model recorded higher values of 0.0623, 0.0934, and 1.45%, respectively. This study concludes that for NOK stock prediction, a simpler model with fewer features proved to be more effective. The additional data points in the multivariate model did not enhance predictive accuracy and may have introduced noise, suggesting that the historical pattern of closing prices alone is a more powerful predictor for this particular asset.

Abstract

Daily activities at Port X produced domestic liquid wastewater with total coliform and TSS parametersexceeding the required quality standards. Total coliforms and TSS polluted waterbodies and causedgastrointestinal diseases in humans. The aim of this research was to see the effect of chlorine on reducing totalcoliforms and TSS in domestic wastewater from Port X Batam City in 2024. This research used trueexperimental method with a pretest - posttest control group design. Primary data was obtained by treatmentand examination in the laboratory. Data were analyzed using a paired t-test to see the effect on the controlgroup and treatment group (p value <0.05). The research results showed that there was an effect of theindependent variable towards the dependent variable. The most influential treatment was a chlorine dose of 2gr/l and aeration for 4 hours with a percentage reduction in the total number of coliforms and TSS levels of82.71% and 85.16% respectively. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that chlorine had an effecton reducing the total number of coliforms and TSS levels in Port X domestic waste samples.Keywords: Chlorine, wastewater, Stirring, aeration

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of dropout layers in reducing overfitting within Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) neural networks for Sony stock price prediction. Financial time series forecasting presents significant challenges due to market volatility and noise, often leading to models that overfit historical data while failing to generalize to unseen market conditions. We implemented two LSTM models: one without dropout layers and another with dropout layers (rate=0.2) applied after each LSTM layer. Using historical Sony stock data from 2015-2025, we evaluated both models using Root Mean Square Error (RMSE), Mean Absolute Error (MAE), and Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) metrics. The model with dropout demonstrated superior performance on testing data, achieving RMSE of 0.5971, MAE of 0.4411, and MAPE of 2.1502%, compared to the model without dropout which obtained RMSE of 0.7124, MAE of 0.5636, and MAPE of 2.6684%. Furthermore, the dropout model exhibited significantly reduced overfitting, with smaller performance gaps between training and testing datasets across all metrics, particularly in MAPE where the difference approached zero (0.0509%). This research provides empirical evidence that dropout regularization effectively enhances LSTM model generalization for stock prediction, offering practical value for developing more reliable financial forecasting models. Future research could explore optimal dropout rates for different market conditions and investigate combinations of dropout with other regularization techniques.

Abstract

Prediksi harga saham merupakan tantangan sentral di pasar modal yang kompleks dan volatil.Meskipun model pembelajaran mendalam seperti Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) telahmenunjukkan potensi, banyak penelitian mengabaikan masalah multikolinearitas pada modelmultivariat dan menggunakan metode evaluasi yang tidak realistis. Untuk mengatasi ini,penelitian ini mengembangkan model prediksi harga saham Nokia menggunakan arsitekturLSTM univariat yang hanya memanfaatkan harga penutupan, sebuah keputusan yangdidasarkan pada bukti empiris multikolinearitas tinggi antar fitur harga. Kinerja modeldievaluasi secara ketat menggunakan Walk-Forward Validation (WFV) untuk mensimulasikankondisi perdagangan nyata dan menghindari bias evaluasi. Hasilnya menunjukkan performayang sangat baik dan stabil, dengan model mampu menjelaskan 94.46% varians data (R² =0.9446) dan mencapai Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) sebesar 2.75%. Konsistensiini terbukti melalui 30 iterasi WFV, yang mengonfirmasi ketahanan model di berbagai kondisipasar. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pendekatan model LSTM univariat yang dievaluasidengan WFV terbukti efektif dan andal, bahkan dapat menjadi pilihan superior dibandingkanmodel yang lebih kompleks. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa relevansi fitur dan standarevaluasi yang ketat lebih krusial daripada kompleksitas arsitektur, memberikan kontribusimetodologis penting bagi pengembangan model prediksi finansial yang andal di masa depan.
