Abstract

Study of crystal structure of ceramic materials was one of chapters in Solid State Physics for undergraduate curriculum in Indonesia. Tetrahedron crystal structure was interesting to be reviewed in order to provide an understanding to the students for analyzing the ionic radius ratio of small and large atoms (r/R) as molecul composer in ceramic materials. Study of ratio on tetrahedron crystal structure (coordination number of 4) was more difficult than octahedron (coordination number of 6) as well as cubic structures (coordination number of 8), because on tetrahedron, small atoms bound four large ionic atoms which were located in three-dimensional space that causing the wedge angle (ɵ) became not perpendicular to each other. A review of tetrahedron crystal structure using mathematical physics analysis of Menelaus theorem resulted r/R ratio of 0.225 with wedge angle of 109.5o. Abstract

LiTaO3 thin films has been grown upper side on p-type Si (100) substrates using Chemical Solution Deposition (CSD) methods followed by spin coating its speed 3000 rpm with dropped for 30 seconds in solubility 1 M. Thin films was annealed at 550 ËšC, 575 ËšC, 600 ËšC and 625 ËšC with increasing degree of annealed 1.67 ËšC/minutes. This conductivity values is semiconductor and conductivity. It might be effect the result of optical test showed LiTaO3 thin films could absorb in UV wavelength. It is convincing that LiTaO3 promise to be used for infrared sensor. Abstract

The square paper Apollos were made from papers and needles with average area 0.005 m2 and 0.00146 kg total mass. It could fly if the burning occupied on the four angel corner of Apollos, this phenomena was due to outside pressure was higher than inside’s. The obtained result of lift force and pressure change of the ten paper Apollos by using kinematic of accelerated motion and Second Newton’s Law were about 0.15 - 0.17 N and 2-3 Pa on 1,2,and 3 meters height. Abstract

Sumber energi terbarukan mudah didapat, energi matahari memiliki potensi yang paling melimpah. Rata-rata energi yang diterima bumi oleh matahari sebesar: 3 X 1024 joule setahun atau sekitar 10.000 kali konsumsi energi dunia saat ini. Hal ini menjadikan sumber energi surya kandidat terbaik sebagai sumber energi listrik dalam keadaan darurat bencana. Bedasarkan uraian diatas diperlukannya suatu teknologi baru dalam penghasil energi listrik darurat menggunakan energi cahaya matahari yang mudah didapatkan para pengungsi korban bencana alam. Maka dari itu dilakukanlah penelitian rancang bangun tenda pengungsian dengan panel surya terintegrasi piranti pintar bernama “TEDAPIS (Tenda Darurat Pintar Bertenaga Panel Surya). Telah berhasil membuat prototipe TEDAPIS dengan ukuran 3 x 2,48 x 2,45meter dari terpal, kapasitas terpasang sel surya 100 WP. Panel surya yang digunakan adalah beberapa panel berukuran minimalis 38 x 46 cm yang disusun paralel agar mendapat daya dan tegangan setara dengan rata-rata daya listrik rumah 220V 50Hz. Listrik yang dihasilkan TEDAPIS dipakai untuk penerangan malam sebanyak 2 lampu 9 watt, menghidupkan piranti pintar, menyalurkan listrik ke stopkontak yang digunakan sebagai sumber listrik pada pengisian handphone. Renewable energy sources are easily available, solar energy has the most abundant potential. The average energy received by the earth by the sun is: 3 X 1024 joules a year or about 10,000 times the world's current energy consumption. This makes the candidate's best solar energy source a source of electrical energy in disaster emergencies. Based on the description above, we need a new technology in producing emergency electricity using solar energy that is easily obtained by refugees victims of natural disasters. Therefore, a research on the design of refugee tents with integrated solar panels called "TEDAPIS (Solar Powered Smart Panel Tents) was carried out. Has successfully made a TEDAPIS prototype measuring 3 x 2.48 x 2.45 square meters of tarpaulin, installed capacity of 100 WP solar cells. The solar panels used are a number of 38 x 46 cm minimalist panels arranged in parallel to get the power and voltage equivalent to the average home electric power of 220V 50Hz. The electricity produced by TEDAPIS is used for night lighting as many as 2 9 watt lights, turning on smart devices, channeling electricity to an outlet that is used as a power source for charging mobile phones.

Abstract

Simulation on the Use of LOSAT Data for Rice Field Mapping. Since the launch of LAPAN-TUBSAT satellite in 2007, Indonesia has been developing mission on earth observation missions for various applications. The next generation mission, called LAPAN-ORARI Satellite (LOSAT), is currently under development and expected to be launched in 2011. In order to facilitate the applications, a thorough assessment of the sensor should be made. This paper presents an examination of simulated LOSAT data for rice monitoring and mapping purposes coupled with QUEST statistical tree. We found that three-band simulated LOSAT data were suitable for the task with reasonably high accuracy.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bisnis model agroindustri silika dari sekam padi dengan pendekatan Bisnis Model Kanvas. Sekam padi diproses menjadi silika dilakukan melalui proses pembakaran dengan suhu tinggi. Arang sekam padi mengandung sekitar 72,1% silikon oksida dan meningkat menjadi 94,95% setelah dibakar pada 700 oC selama 6 jam, sedangkan abu sekam kering mengandung silikon oksida sekitar 80% - 90%. Arang dan abu sekam padi dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif sumber silika dan silikon. Hasil penelitian ini memiliki prospek untuk mengembangkan agroindustri silika berbasis sekam padi sebagai alternatif bahan baku terbarukan. Metode yang digunakan untuk membangun model bisnis adalah Business Model Canvas (BMC). Business Model Canvas adalah metode visual menggambarkan bagaimana suatu perusahaan membuat dan melakukan bisnis. Visualisasi dengan kanvas lebih komunikatif, hal ini akan mendeskripsikan model bisnis secarasederhana untuk dimengerti. BMC diuraikan dalam sembilan komponen yaitu Customer Segment, CustomerRelationship, Customer Channel, Revenue Stream, Value Proposition, Key Activities, Key Resource, Cost Structure, dan Key Partners. BMC perlu dilakukan sebagai acuan untuk mengisi kanvas model bisnis pengembangan agroindustri silika, tidak hanya berkaitan dengan manfaat atau keuntungan tetapi juga cara organisasi menciptakan, menyampaikan, dan menangkap nilai secara rasional. Silika yang dihasilkan dari proses pirolisis dalam skala medium memiliki kemurnian yang tinggi. Proses produksi silika berbahan dasar sekam padi memiliki potensi yang baik untuk dikembangkan menjadi agroindustri silika sebagai bahan baku alternatif terbarukan.Kata kunci: business model canvas (BMC), rice husks-based silica

Abstract

Rancangan percobaan merupakan serangkaian uji yang bertujuan mengamati dan mengidentifikasi perubahan-perubahan pada output respon disebabkan oleh perubahan-perubahan pada variabel input dari suatu proses. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan rancangan terbaik untuk peningkatan kadar SiO2. Silikon Dioksida (SiO2) merupakan salah satu mineral yang paling banyak ditemukan di bumi. SiO2 banyak digunakan di berbagai bidang sehingga ketersediaannya semakin berkurang. Prosedur kemurnian dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan kemurnian silika yang memiliki kualitas rendah dengan mengubah suhu dan laju kenaikan suhu. Metode yang digunakan adalah desain G-optimal menggunakan algoritma Variable Neighborhood Search (VNS). Model yang digunakan dalam meningkatkan kemurnian silikon dioksida adalah model non-linier yang mengikuti distribusi eksponensial decay. Titik rancangan terbaik yang diperoleh dari rancangan G-optimal pada hubungan antara suhu (oC) dan laju kenaikan suhu (oC/menit) yaitu titik  800 ­oC  hingga 900 ­oC adalah kombinasi titik  800 ­oC dan 1,67 oC/menit, 800 ­oC dan 2,17 oC/menit, 815 oC dan 4,67 oC/menit, 825 ­oC dan 4,17 oC/menit, 835 ­oC dan 5 oC/menit, 855 ­oC dan 2,17 oC/menit, 880 ­oC dan 2,34 oC/menit, 895 ­oC dan 4,67 oC/menit,  serta 900 oC dan 4 oC/menit dengan nilai G-efisiensinya adalah 96,09%.

Abstract

Ferroelectric materials have many advantages including microactuator (piezoelectric properties), Dynamic Random Access Memory, DRAM (permitivity and polarisability) and infrared sensor (pyroelectric properties). PbZr1-xTixO3 (PZT) is ferroelectric materials, that can be piezoelectric and pyroelectric materials. In this experiment, annealing effect on growing process of thin films PbZr1-xTixO3 (PZT) using dc unbalanced magnetron sputtering is studies. PZT thin films were deposited at temperature 550oC – 650oC on Si (100) substrate with annealing condition and without annealing condition. Ratio of gas flow Ar/O2 was 50 sccm : 10 sccm, basic pressure was 0.051 Torr, and deposition pressure was 1.3 Torr. Annealing temperature was 650oC at pressure 0.58 Torr. The XRD results showed that annealing process caused crystal orientation of thin films more oddered. Some orientations that appear in the results without annealing process disappear after annealing process. This can also be seen in the morphological form of grain size PZT obtained from SEM characterization.

Abstract

Tantalum oxide (Ta2O5) thin films were deposited on Si(100) and Si (100)/Pt (200) substrates using the chemical solution deposition (CSD) method. X-ray diffraction (XRD) measurement was employed to characterize the films. The growth condition of Ta2O5 was carried out by spin coating at 3000 rpm for 30 seconds, and then by annealing at 900 oC for 4 hours and 15 hours. The crystallinity of thin films were investigated by XRD preferred orientation (001), (010), (100), (200) on Si (100) substrate and (001), (010), (100), (202) on Si (100)/Pt (200) substrate. Increasing the duration of annealing results in better quality of crystalline thin films and the effect of high thermal energy increases the grain size. The orthorhombic structure and crystallinity of Ta2O5 thin films on Si (100) substrates and Si (100)/Pt (200) substrates were analyzed by XRD preferred orientation (001), (010) and (100), giving lattice constants a = 3.708 Å, b = 3.716 Å, c = 4.114 Å.
